Chapter 1557

Almost Greased

John Henry was aware Young Allison sent 'Cherry Bomb' after an unknown target. It appeared to be a small group of Grays. He sent out the warning to all of the teams there were more Grays out there. The only response was from Richard and Michael. He'd lost contact with everyone else. They were the only ones above ground at this point.

Michael and Richard started to carry over some of the drone sub assemblies which were in the hangar of the third building to jam the blast door open. They figured they would need to haul those away later on.

They found an electric forklift and drove it over instead. The entire rear half of its body was a chunk of solid metal. A forklift needed to weigh at least twice as much as its rated lifting capacity to keep from lifting the rear wheels off of the ground and tipping forward until the front of it hit the ground. It would usually be part of the lifting assembly or the frame itself. If there is a load on it when it happened, it could slide off of the pallet or the forks.

They were about to join the Metal girls when they received word a group of Grays tried to break out. Cammy previously asked them to make sure their path out was clear. They would need to remain where they were to make sure it happened.

Cammy arrived at an intersection. She needed to divide her force to check all aspects of what was there. They knew Young Jesse's team was headed for them through a passageway system. They didn't know how far away they were for sure. After they'd passed a second blast door they'd lost communication with the outside. They could only communicate with each other in their immediate team.

"I need Cam and Samantha to take the left branch." Cammy said. "Ally and Hanna will take the right branch. I'll continue down the center branch."

The Metal girls didn't want to split up but they were Terminators. They were there to fight Skynet. They all went off on their assigned routes. They didn't want the enemy in front and in back of them.

Ally and Hanna took the route to the right. They entered what appeared to be another storage area.

Hanna looked around a corner and motioned for Ally to stop. They both peeked around the corner.

There were two HK Tracks parked inside there.

"Are those things active?" Ally whispered.

Hanna didn't think so. She also didn't want to find out the hard way.

"I think I can get around the back of the one on the left side." Hanna said as she took out her Taser.

She knew from Savannah's past experience, if the barbs jammed in a joint, the Taser would knock the HK Track offline. She didn't have any 'sticky shockers' with her. It would have made the job a lot easier.

Ally switched from her suppressed M4 to her silenced M9. If the HK Track made an aggressive move towards Hanna, she would get its attention with a few silenced shots. She would become the 'greater threat' at that point.

Hanna moved out and passed in back of some crates. She was able to move up directly behind the HK Track. Its superstructure blocked her from the view of the other one. Her Taser was ready to 'zap' it if necessary. She walked right up in back of it unopposed. It wasn't turned on. She indicated to Ally it was off.

Ally made a dash and headed for the other one with her Taser now instead of her M9. It was off as well.

They both thought it was a little unusual. The HK Tracks looked like they should be active.

They checked to see what the transponder code was of the Skynet forces. They quickly changed the recognition code to the one used by their transponders. There could be more elsewhere. They let the other Metal girls know what to add to their transponder squawk box. None of the HK equipment should see them as a threat once they did.

"Let's turn these things on." Ally said. "These two will see everyone else but our team as the enemy now."

They activated both of them.

They 'clanked' into a different position. They actually guarded the storage area now.

"Why were these things off?" Hanna asked.

Ally and Hanna searched the area.

"I don't know." Ally said. "Maybe they're defective."

Hanna knew the offshoots of Skynet experienced a lot of technical difficulties. Maybe they weren't responsive. They didn't do a thorough inspection of them. Now they were a little worried because they hadn't done so. They were pressed for time. She felt they got the most important thing from them.

"Let's turn them back off." Hanna said. "We got the transponder code."

They cautiously approached the two HK Tracks. They pivoted and faced each other now.

Ally and Hanna paused where they were at for a moment.

"They're communicating." Ally said.

It probably wasn't a good sign.

Hanna didn't want to take any chances.

"Let's pull the plug." Hanna said.

Cam and Samantha moved down the left branch of the passageway.

"Do you think this leads to where Young Jesse is at?" Samantha asked.

Cam hoped there was a good answer to her question. They currently didn't possess it.

"It's unknown." Cam said. "It's a possibility."

There was an opening up on the right side of the passageway.

Cam peeked her head around the corner. She looked back at Samantha.

"These are living quarters." Cam whispered.

They both switched from their M4 to their silenced M9. It would cause more confusion if Grays fell silently without a hint of gunfire.

Cam entered the living quarters. They began to check bunks. They were all empty. It looked like everyone was out. It was the same as they'd encountered in the fourth building.

There was no bunk set up for 'pleasure' in this arrangement. It probably all happened in the fourth building. Some of the Grays got off on the screams. Some of them didn't.

The area around the bunks was messy and in disarray as it was in the fourth building. It appeared everyone was scrambled and sent out in a hurry. Maybe they were short on Grays at this point. It was better for them.

They reported their findings and moved back into the passageway. It went through a series of sharp turns. There was a metal door which blocked their path forward.

Cammy continued onward. She held her M4 in one hand and her Taser in the other. She was pretty sure if there was a Terminator there, it would be in front of her.

She heard two voices. She slung her M4 and drew her silenced M9. She still held her Taser in her other hand.

There was another zigzag and a metal door. It was open. She moved forward and listened.

The two technicians were very displeased about their current situation. There were a lot of things going wrong. There were a lot of people missing.

The first Gray didn't care for their overseers.

"Besides 'Robby The Robot' and the new 'Metal Bitch', we're the last two technicians up here." The first Gray said. "They'll probably send us out next. Anyone who disagrees with them ends up in the 'cornfield'."

The second Gray looked around to make sure there was no one to hear him.

"I want to get out of this death trap." The second Gray said. "The 'Metal Heads' are down in the hole right now. I don't want to go down there."

The first Gray understood things were very bad if they were supposed to take apart the very things they'd just finished building.

"Let's take our time disconnecting this stuff then." The first Gray said. "I want out of here too. I don't want to end up on a combat patrol. None of the people have come back yet."

The second Gray was in no hurry to relive some of the events from his past, the future.

"They're all a bunch of rubes when it comes to combat." The second Gray said. "I did it for four years before I was assigned to Century."

The first Gray's attention perked up when he heard where the second Gray was stationed.

"You were in Century?" The first Gray asked.

The second Gray smiled as he reminisced. The past was a lot better place to be than the future. The future did hold some perks in it. The continuous supply of female prisoners was one of them.

"Damn straight. It was a choice assignment." The second Gray said. "There was a never ending selection of captured Resistance females through there. We all got as much 'stank' as we wanted. The crybabies didn't last long. I heard later on Skynet sent a 'Metal Whore' there. I was deep in tech by then."

The first Gray heard a lot of stories about how things happen.

"I know the 'Bucket Heads' killed any children, and anyone over thirty before they brought them in." The first Gray said. "They wanted people who could work."

The second Gray thought about some of the selection available to him at the prison camp.

"Very few were past their early twenties." The second Gray said. "A few of the females were in Scavenger camps at one point. You could always tell…."

The first Gray heard stories about what happened in some of the Scavenger camps. If any of the captives didn't do as they were instructed instantly, there was always an immediate repercussion. It was done in front of the other captives so they knew what would happen to them if they didn't reply promptly. He hoped they would get another candidate for the 'comfort bunk'. He didn't care for the current dry spell.

"I wish they'd get some 'fresh meat' around here for us." The first Gray said. "I only was with that last slut five times. She was a redhead all the way."

Both Grays laughed.

Cammy heard enough. It was the mention of the abuse of a redhead which made her act now. She didn't like the implication. She put her weapons away. She was a Terminator. She came around the corner and grabbed both of the Grays from behind as they took something apart.

She was angry and crushed both of their necks into pulp. Their heads each rolled over to the opposite side at a crazy angle. She pulled them around the back of the console they'd been in the process of disassembling. She was about to dump them there. She didn't want them to be found easily. With the mention of at least two Terminators on site, she didn't want to put anyone on alert sooner than they needed to be. She carried them further back and dumped them up against the rock wall behind some crates. There was a location she wanted to find. It seemed to be the key as to what was occurring where they were at

She went back in search of 'the hole'.

It seemed like the perfect type of place Skynet liked to hide in. There were two Terminators down in there too. She wasn't sure if there would be more Grays. It seemed most likely since the two Grays she just terminated indicated they didn't want to go down there.

It sounded as if they would need the backpack nuke Hank and Larry acquired in the past. It would deny Skynet future use of the area. Besides, it was the only way to be sure….

The Grays who'd just gone outside from the passageway turned and headed back for the escape door when they heard the drone. They didn't think it was one of theirs. They figured it was better to play it safe than sorry.

They quickly went back inside the opening and closed the door. There was the sound of bullets impacting on the metal door. There were a lot of them.

The first Gray was stunned at what happened.

"It shot at us!" The first Gray said.

The second Gray thought they barely made it by less than a second.

"Damn, it was close!" The second Gray said.

The third Gray could feel his heart pounding. He realized how close to death they'd actually been.

"We were almost greased." The third Gray said.

The first Gray knew they needed a better avenue of escape. The one they were in was clearly compromised.

"We can't go back out the same way." The first Gray said. "I'm not going to anyway. You guys can."

The third Gray didn't think anybody would.

"Nobody's going out through there." The third Gray said.

The second Gray wanted to move further back into the passageway system.

"We need to go back." The second Gray said.

The first Gray didn't know what they actually faced.

"We don't know if it was an enemy HK drone or one of our own." The first Gray said.

The second Gray reflected on the sound of bullets hitting the metal door and ricocheting.

"I think an enemy HK drone is a pretty good bet." The second Gray said.

The third Gray didn't want to wait around for a missile strike on the door.

"Let's go back." The third Gray said. "There could be ground troops as well out there."

The Grays made sure the door was secure and started back.

They went through a right angle turn. It was dark in front of them. The red lights were off.

"Why is it so dark?" The first Gray said.

The second Gray was aware they'd lost the earlier illumination which was there.

"I can't see anything." The second Gray said. "The red lights went out."

The first Gray fumbled around in his pocket.

"Let me get my phone out." The first Gray said.

The third Gray was sure he wasn't going to be able to make a call out.

"Those things don't work in here." The third Gray said.

The first Gray exhaled a quick breath. He wanted to control his anger. Sometimes he questioned the intelligence of those around him.

"The light on it will, dummy." The first Gray said. "I don't have a cheap flip phone like the rest of you morons."

The second Gray felt defensive. It wasn't his choice to have antiquated equipment.

"It's what they gave us, man." The second Gray said.

The first Gray was very pleased at how he'd acquired his smart phone.

"I took this one off of some kid when I went to the mine once." The first Gray said. "We stopped for gas and I used the restroom. I stabbed him and took it. I don't think he made it."

The third Gray didn't really care for the first Gray. They were colleagues who were forced to work together.

"I bet it wasn't the only thing you did either." The third Gray said.

The first Gray shrugged his shoulders in the darkness

"Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't." The first Gray said. "Some people have different tastes."

Before the Gray could get his light turned on there were four circular red objects right in front of them. The three men attempted to comprehend what it was they actually viewed. things just started to click when everything was illuminated.

The smart phone light came on just in time for the Grays to see two large Terminators right there. They were all grabbed by the neck.

Larry grabbed the second and third Gray and slammed them together. There was a sickening dull 'crack' sound as their heads impacted with each other. They were both terminated.

Hank grabbed the first Gray. The phone with the light fell from his hand. It went out when it impacted the cement floor. His lifeless body landed on top of it a second later.

Larry went ahead and made sure the door was latched. They didn't want any surprises in back of them. He figured their drones would keep any of the enemy away from attempting to access the escape door. They knew where it was at now.

They hurried away from the kill zone to rejoin the girls.

Holly left the Command Center. There wasn't much she could add there. Her best contribution would be to make sure Claire didn't go there or go looking for Summer. She needed to take over for Claire and watch Precious. She'd neglected her duty too long.

She passed by the commissary and was soon at John's room. She paused at the door. She wanted to go back in. It hadn't been very long since she'd left. She didn't think he would be 'up' for a quickie. It bothered her some because the human male body lacked the ability to sustain continual sexual performance. The female body was clearly superior. It was always good to go

She opened the door slightly to listen better and determine if he was asleep. She went to close the door tight but didn't. She needed to do her 'job'. She could still give John a treat. She could also keep Claire from wandering around.

Claire was asleep in the nursery. She was naked on the bed still.

Holly entered the nursery. She spotted Claire right away on the bed. She left the door open to the hallway. She went to the pass door into Riley's room and listened. It sounded like Derek was hard at work 'plowing' Riley. From the sound of it, Riley was having a good time as well.

She briefly wondered if he was plowing 'Riley' or 'Claire' in his mind. Maybe it was her. She knew Derek always paid her extra attention. Maybe sometime she could give him a 'try', just to see how he compared to John. It didn't seem like it could hurt anything. It would just be sex.

Holly gathered up Claire's clothes and placed them on the dresser. She carefully picked up Claire's naked form and grabbed her clothes on the way out.

She wondered if CamNet would block what she was doing right now from Summer or not. It didn't really matter since it was happening anyway. At this point, she wondered if this was even her own idea. It came to her as she'd passed John's room a minute ago. It was possible Summer may have 'influenced' her secretly.

She rapidly approached John's room and pushed the door open which she hadn't closed tight all the way earlier. She carried Claire into the bedroom and set her things on the dresser. She looked at John asleep. She noticed something else was asleep too.

Holly gently laid Claire on the bed next to John. She waited a second to see if either awoke. They didn't. She pulled the sheet up off of the floor and carefully covered both of them over. She smiled at her handiwork and exited John's room. She returned to the nursery and went in to see Precious in her room. She stood there and watched her sleep. Derek continued to 'service' Riley in their bedroom. She imagined pleasuring Riley as Derek 'plowed' her from behind.

The other group of four Grays was almost to the passageway intersection. They didn't know it was there.

There was a faint but distinct sound of something striking metal off to the side up ahead. The four Grays stopped.

First Gray looked around in the dim red light.

"What was that?" The first Gray asked.

The third Gray wasn't sure what it was.

"I don't know." The third Gray said.

The second Gray hoped it was 'Friendly's'.

"There were other teams sent down here." The second Gray said.

The fourth Gray was a little concerned about those who went out before them. They hadn't been seen since.

"Do you mean the teams who never returned?" The fourth Gray asked.

The Grays all brought their weapons up. The passageway was suddenly lit with bright light.

The first Gray was appalled at the sloppiness of his team. He couldn't believe what one of the team members just did.

"Turn it off." The first Gray said. "You'll give away our position."

The second Gray shielded his eyes. When the light went out, he couldn't see anything.

"All it did was destroy our night vision." The second Gray said. "You could have given us a warning."

The third Gray didn't see what everybody was so upset about. He was trying to help them out.

"I just wanted to see a little better." The third Gray said.

The fourth Gray was able to spot something they hadn't noticed earlier.

"I saw there was a branch off to our left." The fourth Gray said. "I spotted it after 'Krusty' lit the area with his phone.

The third Gray didn't like the inference.

"I'm not a clown." The third Gray said.

The first Gray was thoroughly disgusted. He decided to hold the team in place for a short time until they would be able to see better in the darkness.

"Let's wait a little bit until our eyes readjust." The first Gray said.

The four Grays paused as their eyes readjusted to the dim red lights. They were all very upset about the third Gray's stunt.

Earlier:

Gail headed down the branch to see what happened to Larry and Hank. She heard minigun projectiles hit metal not too far away. She brought her M4 up. There must be some Grays or worse, maybe a Terminator nearby. She brought her Taser up as well.

She heard the Grays talk about what a 'close one' it was.

A few seconds later she heard the sound of several brief terminations. Hopefully it was Larry and Hank.

"Orange…." Gail whispered.

"Mongoose…." Hank whispered back.

Larry came around the bend. He was met with Gail's M4 and Taser pointed at him.

Gail lowered her weapons. She didn't like to take chances. She remembered when Savannah 'saved' her when she was in a fight for her life with two hostile Terminators before. If it wouldn't have been for Savannah's intervention, she would have been terminated. She owed her existence to Savannah. She was aware a lot of Terminators did as well. Savannah always entered the fight without hesitation. She needed to focus on their current situation.

"We need to get back." Gail said. "The other Grays we heard earlier will be alerted now."

The three of them hurried off to rejoin the rest of the team.

Young Jesse was right behind Sheila and Camille when they heard the metal on metal sound from behind them where Gail, Hank and Larry went. She immediately turned her night vision off and closed one eye. There was a bright flash of light a few seconds later. It was what she figured would happen. She opened her closed eye once the light went off. It would prevent her from losing all her night vision without the device. She could still see in the dull red light up ahead of her.

She could hear the men speak and it didn't sound like they would turn the light back on. She wanted to act since they'd paused to get their night vision back. She wanted to use her training. She wanted to act.

"Let me take them." Young Jesse whispered. "I can do this."

Camille wanted her protected. She also understood now was the time to act.

"Stay behind me." Camille whispered. "Shoot between Sheila and me."

Sheila closed up the gap. She wanted to offer Young Jesse the most protection possible.

"We'll back you up, even if we're in front of you." Sheila whispered. "Just don't shoot us."

Young Jesse was ready.

"Go." Young Jesse whispered.

The four Grays were ready to start again. Their eyes were almost adjusted to the dim red lights. They didn't want to advertise their presence or lose their low light vision again.

There were suddenly four small red lights almost right in front of them.

Before it could register in their heads what it was, there were more than half a dozen flashes of bright light in about two seconds. The four Grays fell to the ground. The initial flashes were followed by four more flashes directed at the ground where the Grays were.

The only sound was of bouncing empty brass shell casings on the ground, and the sound of a magazine being changed.

Sheila bent down and checked the Grays.

"They're all terminated." Sheila said.

There was the sound of running footsteps behind them.

Gail appeared with Hank and Larry on each side of her.

Young Jesse didn't want them to worry.

"We're good." Young Jesse said.

Larry gave them a brief report as to what occurred at the end of the other passageway as they moved ahead.

Sheila led the group towards the metal door they'd retreated from just under a minute ago.

Gail moved up and worked the combination and opened the door eighteen inches. Sheila squeezed through. She was gone a little longer this time before she returned.

"It's clear for now." Sheila said.

Gail opened the door and the group passed through. Larry closed and secured the door behind him.

They proceeded in single file about six feet apart with half of them on each side of the tunnel.

They hadn't gone far when there was a muffled explosion behind them followed by another one ten seconds later. There was a mild vibration.

"Someone tripped one of the proximity charges who didn't have our transponder code." Camille said. "Since two of them went off, it was probably more than one person."

Young Jesse figured it was by the first metal door they'd went through. There were two passageways they didn't inspect. They would need to make sure it happened going forward.

None of them had any outside communication ability right now. It was doubtful they would again at this point as long as they were in the passageway.

The girls on the jet were all fast asleep.

Allison and Leticia were in the lounge area. Vanna and Mary were in the Master Suite. Jesse and Laura were in the Executive Suite.

Wes passed through the fuselage and checked on all of them. He made a visual scan of what he could of each of them. They were mostly naked and uncovered. He would save those images for future reference. He told Ned and he passed through and did the same. It gave them something to review while they waited.

These were all human females. They didn't get to see live ones very often, at least ones who looked as good.

They checked with John Henry on any timeline as to when the operation would be concluded. It sounded as if they were only in the middle of it.

Bob and Jim neared the location the other teams were at. Al and Ed weren't far behind them. They each drove a truck. There was HK equipment to be collected. There may be other vehicles they could take as well.

They checked with John Henry. The team was out of contact except for Richard and Michael. They owned the sky right now with their drones. The area above ground was secure, at least for now.

They were sent images of where the equipment was at they needed to collect. Their drones would cover them so they could get started as soon as they arrived.

They still didn't know if there were any more Skynet forces in the area.

The Terminator wanted to get a few answers. He also needed to get the boxcars ready for transport. He began to question the Gray 'Terminator style'. It was the fastest way to get answers with an impending termination. The Gray had little to offer. He did attempt to lie about other locations. He was able to determine several other possible targets. He snapped the Gray's' neck. He took the body across the hall and dumped it on the other unkempt bunk. He went through the room one more time. He collected all of their phones and some of their weapons. He put everything on top of one of the empty bunks. He picked up the blanket and contained it all within it like a giant package.

He went back into the room with the security monitors and removed all the hard drives. CamNet would go through everything to determine which information was useful. He checked the drone images above him. Everything was still clear.

The Terminator made his way back out into the main part of the building. He went over to the first box car and put the giant 'knapsack' inside with the phones and weapons. He moved the ramp away from the boxcar and the loading dock. He closed and secured the door on the side of the boxcar.

He moved over to the HK Tread. He climbed up and went inside of it. He reconnected the power source and moved it inside of the boxcar. He could feel the boxcar tilt slightly as he entered it over the short ramp between the dock and the boxcar. HK Tread was a very large machine. He needed to make sure he didn't damage any of the other HK equipment in there. He didn't.

The Terminator climbed out of the HK Tread and moved the ramp between the boxcar and the loading dock. He closed the door and secured it. He moved back along the loading dock towards the south side of the building. When he reached the end of the first boxcar, he jumped down to where the tracks were.

He moved over to the rear doors which went over the tracks. He undid the secondary catch on both of them and open them all of the way.

He went back towards the two boxcars. He quickly released the handbrake at the end of the first boxcar. He went along the east side of it because there was more room. He entered the gap between the first and second boxcar. There was plenty of space for him to stand. He pushed on the rear of the first boxcar. It only moved forward a few inches and stopped once the coupler pulled tight against the coupler of the second box car. He now had the weight of both boxcars to move.

The Terminator could see it was going to take quite a bit of exertion on his part. He leaned into the first boxcar at a fairly steep angle and began to push. Both of the boxcars began to move.

The security chief spotted something else outside of where the wall of the building once stood. In the glow of the flames, it looked like two females. There were apparently two inside of the building, and two outside of it. He was sure some of them must be Terminators. He felt it was very odd the force attacking the installation seemed to be comprised of all females.

He decided to destroy the other HK Track with the RPG. He turned around from where he was at. No sooner had he left than there was what sounded like 'metal hail' in the position he'd just been. He wasn't sure what it was. He kept moving. It seemed it was an attack directed at him. He quickly made it back under the remains of the burning building.

He could hear the damage HK Track fire its minigun and then a missile. They weren't directed in his direction. They seemed to be directed upward. He quickly figured there must be an HK drone above him. It made him rethink destroying the HK Track with the RPG. It would help keep whatever HK drone was above them at a distance. He didn't think it would be for long. He was fairly certain the next attack by the unknown HK drone would be with a missile. He was sure he was almost greased. He didn't think there was any way to get the jamming field back in place. He figured it had kept the unknown HK drones blinded previously.

The security chief kept the RPG on his back for now. He moved forward with his pistol in his hand. He wished he had some type of electronic weapon, he didn't. He wanted to get back to his security station. There was one there. He heard another round of 'metal hail' hit off to the side. He kept moving. The building continued to burn behind him.

The female Fanatic and Jill sought cover. It appeared there were other figures outside of the burning building as well. They listened as the HK Track fired its minigun through the ceiling and followed it with a missile.

"I think there's an HK drone overhead." The female Fanatic said. "We need to move away from here now."

The females quickly moved away from where they were at. Even as they fled the area, they could hear what sounded like 'metal hail' from the position they'd just been in a second ago. A few ricochets whizzed by them.

Jill realized they would have been killed if they would have remained where they were at.

"We were almost greased." Jill said.

The female Fanatic was sure there was more to it.

"I think there's going to be a missile through the roof directed at the HK Track." The female Fanatic said.

Jill remembered the drainage trough was nearby where they were at.

"We can make our way out of the building through the trench we saw earlier." Jill said.

The female Fanatic was sure there was probably more than one HK drone. They would find a way to attack the HK Track and destroy the rest of the building. They would also kill anyone else they could find around the area.

"The figures we spotted outside might be Terminators." The female Fanatic said. "I think the earlier energy discharge kept them at bay."

The female Fanatic and Jill headed for the drainage trench.

Seconds ago:

The drone also picked up other movement inside of the building. It would attempt another gravity shot at the last known location of the second contact. When the drone reached a higher altitude, it went ahead and fired. The HK Track didn't respond to the second attack. Even if it could detect the target at the higher altitude, it was out of the range of its weapons.

Lena and Tina reached the perimeter of the burning building. They moved as close to the spatial portal as the flames would allow. They weren't picking up any type of negative energy discharge. It didn't mean there wouldn't be one. If there was a sudden flash of energy, they would both be taken down. They moved away from the spatial porthole and sought out the individuals which were last spotted inside. They needed to be mindful of the HK Track as well. It was clearly a threat.

CamNet wanted them to attempt to destroy the spatial portal. conventional weapons alone would have a hard time to do it. Their experience at the previous location proved so. The biggest punch they could deliver to it would be from the power cell in the other HK Track.

Tina and Lena made their way inside of the building. Their goal was to capture the HK Track and send it towards the spatial porthole and have it overload its power cell when it reached it. They would terminated anyone else they found inside of the building while they were at it.

Young Allison watched Cameron practice with the Colt Single Action Army as she ate her food from the Bear Pit. She watched as Cameron tried the holster in several different configurations. She did everything from a standard low right hip draw, to a cross draw from her left side with her right hand.

'Hey Porter', by 'Johnny Cash', was the next song which began to play.

"I like this song." Young Allison said.

She went back to finishing her meal from the Bear Pit. She was going to have enough left over for another meal. She could have it anytime of the day. It didn't matter if it was morning, noon or evening. The reason she couldn't finish all of her food, was probably because of the excessive amount of ice cream she'd eaten earlier in the day.

Cameron listened to the music as she practiced her quick draw. She practiced 'fanning' the gun six times in rapid succession. She could 'fire' all six shots in less than half of a second. She hoped for the opportunity to be able to borrow a model 1873 Winchester from someone there if the opportunity arose. She knew she could fire it quicker than she would be able to fire a model 1892 Winchester. She'd watched various different 'Cowboy Action Shoots' on the internet. The simpler design of the 1873 Winchester allowed it to cycle more quickly than the action on the 1892 Winchester. Its main drawback was it lacked as strong of an action as the 1892 Winchester possessed. It couldn't take as powerful of a round. She was aware more modern firearms from the time period they'd left, would be able to handle more powerful rounds for both of the firearms.

She knew the designer of both of those firearms watched some others shooting one day. He wondered if there was a way to harness the 'gas' which came out of the barrel when a bullet was fired. He rigged up a device on a lever action rifle to capture the gas and allowed it to work the action by creating some additional linkage. He created a fully automatic lever action rifle.

He went on to design a belt fed, air cooled machinegun using the same principle. The 1889 design by John Browning, and his brother Matthew Browning, was the first successful gas operated machine gun to enter service.

After a number of revisions, it went into production as the Colt-Browning M1895, it was nicknamed the 'Potato Digger' because of the way the action worked on the bottom side of the firearm. It was air cooled and belt-fed, with a cyclic rate of four hundred and fifty rounds per minute. It was built in a variety of different calibers. It saw service into the Second World War.

Cameron blinked her eyes. She was drifting. It was easy for her to do. A lot could happen in a millisecond. Sometimes they seemed like hours.

She refocused on the lyrics of the song. She believed the individual seemed to be rather rude and disregard the other passengers on the train he rode on. It sounded as if he even wanted to give the engineer advice on where and when to stop the train. She didn't think the conductor would be very happy about any of his actions. She needed to remind herself it was just a song.

Cameron switched the holster back to the standard configuration and practiced her draw from the hip. She wouldn't need to just clear leather and tilt the gun to fire. She could pull it completely out and move it in front of her. She would be able to fire all six rounds in less than a second. She could do it without 'fanning' the firearm as well.

Young Allison finished up what she was going to eat. She watched Cameron practice. It was clear Cameron was 'the fastest gun in the West'.

"Nobody is faster than you." Young Allison said. "We both know your marksmanship it's going to be outstanding. I'm sure you could even teach Annie Oakley a few tricks."

Cameron tilted her head slightly as made the reference about whom Young Allison indicated. It was clear Annie Oakley was a very skilled human being. She was sure she would make a great Resistance fighter if one were needed in her time period.

"I think I could give her a new goal to strive for." Cameron said.

Young Allison thought about some of the 'gun handling' skills she'd observed on both television and the big screen.

"Now all you need to do is practice twirling the gun in every direction possible as fast as you can, as well as passing it from hand to hand while tossing it in the air and catching up behind you and continuing the procedure."

Cameron knew what Young Allison referred to. She'd viewed different actors do it on television, as well as some videos at the 'Cowboy Action Shoots'. For some reason, an image of Kyle crossed her mind momentarily.

"I'll give it a go." Cameron said.

Young Allison watched with awe. It was hard to keep track of what the firearm actually did as Cameron began to practice with it in a very rapid manner.

'Folsom Prison Blues', by 'Johnny Cash', began to play.

Young Allison watched Cameron practice. She listened to the lyrics of the song. She thought there were a few good things not to do with the firearm. She was aware Cameron was responsible for many terminations. None of them were just to watch someone die.

She put everything away and cleaned up her dishes. She was sure Cameron would want her to practice a little with the Colt Single Action Army.

Cameron was pleased when Young Allison finished and came over to join her. She quickly unstrapped the holster and put it on Young Allison from the rear. She reached around the front of Young Allison to secure the belt.

"I'm not unhooking anything." Cameron said.

Young Allison giggled.

"It wouldn't be like anything you haven't seen before." Young Allison said.

Cameron was aware their DNA was identical. She gave Young Allison a few pointers and showed her how to handle the single action Colt.

Young Allison handled the Peacemaker on the Sunset Limited. She'd developed some familiarity with it. She was more accustomed to her Smith and Wesson Model 66. The Model 19 was the closest to it in this time period.

"I should go get my Model 19 while we're at it." Young Allison said.

Cameron wondered if they shouldn't have picked up some more ammunition for it as well. She didn't think they were going to use any of the other weapons besides the Browning Hi-Power pistols and the Colt M16 rifles.

"Let's stick with this one for now." Cameron said.

Young Allison did a few dry runs with the Single Action Army.

Cameron was very satisfied with Young Allison's quick learning ability. She showed the same ability in everything she did. So did Savannah, Young Jesse and Summer.

"I think you're ready." Cameron said.

Young Allison let out a long breath. He wanted to make sure everything was calm before she started. It was. She looked over at Cameron.

"My turn…." Young Allison said.

Almost Greased

There have always been stories
About the beauty and the beast
One does not need to do too much
To leave the other one deceased

All roads lead to somewhere
Many paths will be crossed
When the chaos starts to build
The area needs to be policed

Something smooth and tender
Will be marred if it's creased
Some want to wait for the crazies
To be freed and released

Feelings which are mutually earned
Are better than those bought or leased
To taint or steal honest feelings
Will leave one feeling fleeced

It seems to be feast or famine
When things are increased or decreased
When one is targeted specifically
They know they were almost greased

Nobody
