Chapter 1574
You're Good To Go
The two vehicles of Grays went separate directions. There was a drone which tracked both of them. It needed to do a wide orbit and pick up its speed. The vehicles were soon headed in the same direction. More than likely their destination was the same. They took divergent routes to spot a tail.
CamNet's Terminator approached the rear of the building. There hadn't been any hostile action taken towards him yet. CamNet was unable to detect any signal leaving the building. If he was on a surveillance camera, it wasn't being transmitted anywhere.
Without any type of opposition, or apparent surveillance, there was a better than even chance the building was booby trapped. The goal was most likely to get someone to go inside of it, and then trigger the booby trap.
He moved up on the loading dock. All of the doors were secured. There was a call button by the main door into the building. He decided to push it and see what happened. He could hear a 'buzzer' type tone inside for the duration he held the button down. He did it once for a short signal. After he waited thirty seconds, he held the buzzer down longer. He didn't think anyone inside would view anyone who pushed the buzzer as a threat. There was no response. He didn't think there would be. He couldn't hear any activity inside of the building either.
He decided against trying to force any of the doors or windows open. Maybe it was time to take a little more drastic measures. He spotted a roof access ladder as he approached from the rear earlier. He moved over towards it. It was much like the one on the building with the internal railroad siding. He jumped up and caught the second exposed rung of the covered ladder. He pulled himself up. He went up on the roof. He took a look around to see if anyone paid any attention to him. He didn't spot anyone.
He made his way over to a skylight. There were four of them. He didn't spot any movement inside of the building.
CamNet's Terminator was certain there was no one left in the building.
The two vehicles, with three Grays each, begin to get closer to each other as they moved along.
Ajax, the Skynet Terminator, was headed to the building with the railroad siding.
The female Fanatic and Jill left the lobby area. They headed down the hall to an intersection. They followed the sign which indicated the room numbers.
Jill looked back behind them. The desk clerk left her with an uncomfortable feeling.
"Do you think the guy will be a problem?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic touched her Beretta and her knife.
"If he turns into a problem, he's going to find a lot bigger one than he anticipated." The female Fanatic said.
Jill looked around at the fancy surroundings as they walked. She needed to remind herself they weren't fancy. They were certainly a lot fancier than a homeless camp. She noticed something in all of the hallways mounted high on the wall.
"I see this place has a lot of security cameras." Jill said. "Something tells me someone else uses them for other purposes."
The female Fanatic quickly understood her drift.
"You think the creep at the front desk, or someone just like him, keeps track of who's in and out of the rooms, especially if they're young females." The female Fanatic said.
Jill believed it was exactly what would happen. She didn't think they even needed to be young either. What happened to her in the warehouse at the end of a dirt road, was proof it could happen to anyone. When she was taken off of the street, she looked very homeless. It didn't matter to the men who took her. As they tore off her old clothing, they told her she would never need to worry about being dressed again. It really gave her a lot to think about. They were going to kill her.
"We've both seen first hand how low some people can stoop." Jill said.
The female Fanatic couldn't disagree with her.
"There's a group far worse than anything you can imagine in the future." The female Fanatic said.
Jill remembered when Jackie told her about them earlier. It sounded to her like a biker gang, but a hundred times worse.
"I hope to never find out." Jill said.
They reached the door to their room. It was one room away from the exit which led to the side near the rear of the building. Their vehicle was parked a short distance away. They should be able to see it from the room.
The female Fanatic opened the door and let Jill walk inside. She followed in behind her. She took one look behind her in both directions as she closed the door. She didn't spot anyone else in the hallway.
Jill was very pleased with how the room looked. She could see the two double beds side by side. There was a nightstand between them. There was a dresser with six drawers and a mirror. There was a chair which could be moved along the side of it like a small desk.
She made her way into the bathroom. She spotted a little bar of soap on the sink counter. It was wrapped in a paper wrapper. She looked over towards the shower area. It was a bathtub. It needed to be stepped inside to use the shower. There was a plastic curtain which could be pulled across to contain the water within the tub.
Jill turned on the water in the tub. She wanted to take a shower and wash off everything which happened to her over the last week. She knew it wouldn't, but it was a symbolic gesture to do anyway.
The female Fanatic looked around the room and glanced in the bathroom. She moved over to the window at the back. She could see their vehicle parked down three spaces. She looked at how the rear window would open. The window was set up to only slide so far. She believed they could make it out through the opening if necessary. If not, the chair by the dresser would be used to break it.
She could hear the water in the bathroom turn on. It was rather loud. She figured it was water going into the tub.
Jill poked her head out of the bathroom a few seconds later.
"The water's ready." Jill said. "It's very hot. I needed to turn the cold on along with it. You can go first."
The female Fanatic was pleased with the offer. She needed to decline. She wanted to take stock of everything which they still had.
"You can go first." The female Fanatic said. "Let me check through everything so I know where we stand."
Jill came out of the bathroom. She took off her shoes. She reached inside both of them and pulled out some money. She put it on top of the dresser. She put her Beretta and knife on top of the dresser, as well as the revolver Jackie had given her earlier. She took off her outer layer of clothing and quickly laid it on the bed. She pulled out the cell phone which remained working. She took the cash out of her pockets and put it on the dresser. She tried to straighten everything up a little bit. She took off her dirty clothes and folded them up. She figured they were headed for the trash. She placed them on the floor by the door. She removed her wig with the curly blonde hair and set it on the nightstand.
She stood there naked for a moment as she looked at Jackie. She turned around and walked into the bathroom. She entered the tub, closed the curtain, and activated the shower. The warm water felt good on her skin. After she'd been under the spray for a few seconds, she turned the cold water down a little bit to increase the temperature.
The female Fanatic looked at Jill's naked form as she walked away. She thought under different circumstances, Jill could look quite attractive. She really wondered how someone who looked like her ended up 'homeless'.
She stripped off her outer clothing and carefully laid it on the other bed. She put her Beretta on the dresser along with her knife. She took out the other two firearms she collected from the three men who first accosted them as they'd exited the boxcar.
One of the pistols was the type with a plastic frame. She didn't care for anything so cheaply made. In the future, there was a lot of heat at times. Any firearm with a plastic frame, or receiver, always warped and became useless.
She took out all of the cash she carried. She put it next to the pile Jill left on the dresser. She put her knife up there as well. She still had two working phones. She took off the filthy clothes she was wearing and folded them up as well. She put them on top of the ones Jill folded and set down. They were headed for the trash. She thought about putting her clean clothes back on but didn't. She would be in the shower soon enough.
The female Fanatic began to inspect everything.
Jill continued to let the hot water spray over her body.
Lena and Tina tracked the vehicle. It was driven by Grays. Their main concern was someone wanted to lure them into an ambush. It was always a real possibility. So far the white van hadn't backtracked on any of its route. They figured if it did, they were probably close to a destination. The destination was probably going to be an ambush for them.
"So far the van hasn't gone past any other location which has been taken down." Lena said.
Tina was aware the other van stopped at all of them.
"It seems they've learned from the mistakes of the last white van we took down." Tina said.
Lena and Tina continued to track the white van.
Young Allison and Anna entered the bathroom naked. Anna ran the water and adjusted it to the right temperature.
"You're good to go." Anna said.
Young Allison smiled and brushed her hand across Anna's lower back.
"We're good to go." Young Allison said.
The girls shared a civil shower. Young Allison didn't touch any more than she was supposed to touch. She didn't want to be too aggressive and mess things up going forward.
Anna turned off the water and they got out of the shower. She was very pleased with Young Allison's restraint. She thought it showed respect more than anything.
"See, it wasn't so hard." Anna said.
Young Allison frowned.
"It wasn't as much fun either." Young Allison said. "Two balanced meals it is."
Anna wanted Young Allison to feel a little upbeat.
"We still need to dry off." Anna said. "I'll dry you first."
Young Allison smiled.
"Will it be everywhere?" Young Allison asked.
Anna started on Young Allison's back.
"It will be everywhere but there." Anna said. "I apologize for taking it too far earlier."
Young Allison quickly turned around.
"No, it was my most beautiful time ever." Young Allison said. "I didn't know I could experience such pleasure. I thank you for what you did. It may not happen again for a while, maybe years, but it will happen again one day when we're together."
Anna didn't want any disruptions to the 'Natural Order'.
"You know your future lies elsewhere." Anna said.
Young Allison wasn't so sure anymore. It looked like Savannah was about to join with Cameron, and probably John soon afterwards. The 'Natural Order' seemed to move on without her. She was ready for more. It upset her because none of them would 'have' her.
"I'm ready for everything." Young Allison said.
Anna doubted it. It wasn't all fun and games. There was a lot more which went on behind the scenes.
"Not everything is as great as it seems." Anna said.
Young Allison thought the choice should be hers. She didn't think she could make a judgment until she had some more personal experience.
"We'll see." Young Allison said.
Anna gave Young Allison a playful double 'squeeze' as she dried the front of her and finished up.
Young Allison smiled.
"My Turn…." Young Allison said.
Young Allison did everything the same way right down to the double 'squeeze'.
They dressed and checked over themselves in the mirror.
Anna wanted to give Young Allison a little more.
"May I brush your hair?" Anna asked.
Young Allison was thrilled. She liked when Cameron or Savannah did it for her. Sometimes her mother did too. It was always the best when Cameron did it.
"I'd like it if you would." Young Allison said. "There are never any snags when Cameron does it. Savannah has a few. My mother has a lot."
Anna was very careful. She knew where to hold as she brushed. She wanted to remind Young Allison of her contribution as well.
"You do this for Summer too." Anna said.
Young Allison felt a little sad. She missed her sister. They used to do a lot of things together. Summer was always someone she could interact with who understood her.
"I don't think it will happen much anymore." Young Allison said. "She's gone."
Anna knew separation was hard for humans with the ones they loved.
"You still talk to her often." Anna said.
Young Allison knew it was all different now. It just wasn't the same. Summer always knew what she felt whenever they talked about something.
"It's more of a 'work' relationship at this point." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't want Young Allison to dwell on the negative points. She soothed Young Allison as she brushed her hair.
"I'll make some breakfast for you." Anna said.
Young Allison could see a good chunk of the morning was already gone.
"I think it's closer to lunch." Young Allison said.
Anna smiled and shrugged her shoulders.
"I'll make you some lunch then." Anna said. "Or we can go out for brunch somewhere."
Young Allison's face lit up. She'd like to get out of the house. She didn't look forward to going back to her bunker. Somehow now it seemed dark and cold.
"I'd like to." Young Allison said. "It can be just the two of us."
Anna knew Young Allison needed her protection Detail.
"Mel, will accompany us." Anna said.
Young Allison hadn't updated on anything Resistance related in a few hours.
"Have Brian and Randy returned from their mission yet?" Young Allison asked.
Anna knew they hadn't.
"No." Anna said. "They are on the way back to the Resistance base with some of the girls from the executive transport. Some of them need to get back to their duties. All of them were at risk earlier."
Young Allison thought she should update.
"Let me get up to speed before we go." Young Allison said.
Anna handed Young Allison the hair brush.
"I'd rather have you brush my hair." Anna said.
Both of their hands lingered on the hairbrush.
"Sure, Anna…." Young Allison said. "We'll do, and share, everything. It's what I want anyway."
Young Allison realized she'd made a mistake by 'ordering' all the Terminators to make sure she remained celibate until she was 'with' Savannah, Cameron or John. The 'order' was issued as 'unchangeable', unless Savannah or Cameron, 'ordered' all of them, along with her at the same time, to resend her 'order'.
She honestly felt she'd waited long enough for everything. Everyone else had already started by her age. It included the girls from the future as well as her mother. Savannah was already pregnant with her first baby by her age. It was an artificial conception, but she'd started to share with others as well.
Claire and Sarah both came over to see Precious.
Riley welcomed them. She hoped Jan would 'take over' Precious for her. She would offer to assist with the food.
Summer looked at her and walked away.
'I have it covered.'
Riley looked at Summer as she walked away. Did Summer just 'tell' her to do her 'job' as a mother? She'd 'heard' the words, but she didn't think Summer actually spoke. No, she was sure Summer hadn't spoken verbally.
It was something none of them ever talked about. Summer was there at the base for a couple of weeks, and they'd all experienced 'suggestions' from Summer. No one wanted to sound 'crazy', so it was never talked about by anyone.
Riley stayed with Jan and Precious. Claire, Sarah and Summer worked on the food. It left the boys alone.
"Kyle and I want to follow up on the operations we were on yesterday." Derek said.
None of them knew the extent of what was resolved yet.
"We can check with John Henry after we eat." John said.
Kyle looked over at Sarah. She gave him a stern look. It looked like the 'cat was out of the bag'.
"Great, Sarah already knows we're planning something." Kyle said.
Kyle hoped whatever new 'adventure' Sarah was able to share, would make her a little less possessive. The extra 'release' might make her a little less intense.
"I hear you, bro." Derek said.
Derek hoped Riley's new 'friends' would keep her off his back.
John hoped if some more Terminators showed up, maybe he could get out while Cameron was away. Then again, his bed was open to anyone who he could have show up on their own. He looked over and noticed Riley turned away quickly. The thought was back in his mind. It was very overpowering. He thought about how he'd looked at her when he was at his parent's room. Now he wanted her too – again.
'You'd better concentrate on - eating this.'
A plate of food was set down in front of him.
Summer smiled at him and walked away.
John swallowed hard. He was sure Summer didn't actually speak.
"It's chow time." Derek said.
They all started in on their food.
There were nervous glances all around.
It seemed everyone had their own private agenda. The only one who knew what all of them were, was Summer.
Previously:
The airstair was lowered. The girls who were about to depart, were ready to go. There were last minute hugs and kisses all around.
Mary noticed Hanna was next to Young Jesse now and Camille was in the line to go down the airstair.
"I thought Camille was staying with us." Mary said.
Young Jesse knew it was complicated. She took Hanna-Camille's hand.
"She is." Young Jesse said.
Laura looked too. The red hair was a giveaway. There was no mistaking who was who.
"That's Hanna." Laura said.
Hanna-Camille wanted to mess with the girls some. She wanted them to know who she was and how it was possible.
"I'm Camille." Hanna-Camille said.
She tipped her head down and touched Mary's hand to the sutures in her scalp.
Mary's eyes widened. It was in the same location as the empty socket on the two cyborgs they'd carried out of the elevator and loaded on the helicopter. The 'special girls' were some kind of robots!
Young Jesse could see Mary made the connection.
"Now you know." Young Jesse said. "As far as appearance goes, Hanna is now 'Camille' and Camille is now 'Hanna'."
Leticia figured Sheila could do it too.
"Do you mean they can 'switch' so easy and so fast?" Leticia asked.
Sheila knew it could happen even faster if they use the tether. She took Leticia's hand.
"We can do lots of things." Sheila said. "You should know it by now."
The girls who were leaving moved away from the 727.
Holly, Allison, Gail, Jesse, Cam, Vanna, Samantha and Camille-Hanna all headed towards the Iroquois.
Cammy put the airstair up and closed the rear hatch.
Randy and Brian lifted off in the UH-1 once everyone was inside.
Cammy looked at the group still on board of the executive transport. None of them had any other duties to attend to currently. They were aware it could change at any time.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Cammy asked.
Laura didn't see anyone else get onboard the jet.
"What about the pilots?" Laura asked.
Cammy started up towards the front.
"I'm going to fly." Cammy said.
The three girls looked at each other.
"Do you know how to fly too?" Mary asked.
Sheila didn't want the girls to get their panties in a bunch. She then remembered none of them were wearing any.
"We're very gifted." Sheila said.
Hanna–Camille looked at Young Jesse. She wanted to give her a new learning experience.
"Would you like to be the copilot?" Hanna-Camille asked
Young Jesse never flew anything as large as a 727, even in practice. It was an adventure she was up to.
"I'd like the challenge." Young Jesse said. "I've never flown one before like this, or this big."
Mary and Laura looked a little concerned.
"You can fly a plane too?" Laura asked.
Young Jesse didn't think it was a big deal. They all watched her fly the Blackhawk. She didn't mention she'd flown some of the way from Australia in the private jet.
"I have some experience." Young Jesse said.
Mary wondered if it was enough.
"Don't you need some specialized training?" Mary asked.
Cammy didn't want them to worry.
"I've never actually flown this type of aircraft either, but I know how." Cammy said. "Jesse is a 'seat of the pants' pilot. She'll learn very quickly."
Leticia didn't want them to question the 'special girls' so much.
"They'll do fine." Leticia said. "They do everything fine."
The girls also knew the 'special girls' did have some limitations. They'd helped them away from the hillside bunker. The 'special girls' were near collapse at that point. They were all fine. They weren't affected the same way the 'special girls' had been.
Young Jesse wanted to make her abilities clear.
"I'm a fast learner." Young Jesse said. "Down Under, I practice a lot."
She was very grateful for the opportunity to assist in an operation. It made all of her training worthwhile. It would encourage her to train more and learn more things as well. Her training all meant something now. She was glad she was able to use some to assist.
Sheila wanted to get everyone refocused.
"Speaking of some practice 'down under', I'm ready whenever anyone else is." Sheila said.
Her statement brought a round of giggles.
Mary was still a little worried. She looked at Cammy and Young Jesse.
"Are you sure you can fly this thing?" Mary asked.
Cammy was confident in her Terminator abilities. She could literally fly the plane with her eyes closed. She figured she better not actually say it.
"How hard can it be?" Cammy asked.
It was clear any further discussion would upset Cammy.
Young Jesse and Cammy headed for the cockpit.
Ally didn't want any hard feelings.
"We can all watch them get ready." Ally said. "We just need to buckle up before take off."
Cammy tilted her head slightly. She didn't plan to show off. Maybe on the next takeoff she would. It seemed like it would be a good idea to get the feel of the plane first.
"I won't do an aileron roll right after takeoff." Cammy said.
Sheila thought they should make a dramatic takeoff. She would push it a little if she was behind the controls.
"This bird is light without any cargo, or a load of passengers, it should be able to do a maximum performance climb up to cruising altitude." Sheila said. "I'm going to hit the Master Suite for now. Anyone who wants to come – I'll make sure it happens."
Leticia followed Sheila in the direction she was going.
Cammy strapped into the pilot's seat, Young Jesse did the same in the copilot's seat. They looked over the controls. Cammy was pleased the jet had been converted to two person operation. It appeared it was going to be easier than she anticipated.
"This is a piece of cake." Cammy said.
She started the three engines one after another and checked the readings. Young Jesse went over the checklist on the flight deck. She was satisfied everything was good to go.
"We're ready." Cammy said.
The jet started to taxi.
Laura and Mary both wore a set of headphones as did Cammy and Young Jesse.
The jet was actually very quiet in the cockpit because all three engines were in the tail. Ally and Hanna-Camille stood next to them for now.
Laura hadn't heard any type of conversation with a control tower.
"Don't you need to get clearance or something first?" Laura asked.
Young Jesse didn't want them to worry. She wanted to point out some of the advantages of a couple of sophisticated computer systems working to assist them.
"We have our own air traffic controllers." Young Jesse said. "They'll clear the airspace for thirty miles around us and give us priority clearance for any takeoffs or landings."
Mary and Laura looked at each other.
"Really?" Mary asked.
Cammy looked back and smiled.
"Really." Cammy said.
Laura wondered if it was all the work of the super computer, one of them anyway.
"Is it all from your Control Center?" Mary asked.
Ally wanted to keep it simple.
"We have a couple of them." Ally said. "There's nothing like a backup for a backup."
The 727 taxied to the end of the runway. They drew a few strange looks from some of the workers. They didn't usually see a plane of its size on the runway. The runway wasn't very long. With the engines in the rear, a 727 could use all of its wing area for lift.
Cammy checked over everything again with Young Jesse. They turned onto the runway and paused. She brought the engines up to full power and held them.
Young Jesse looked over at her and nodded.
Cammy nodded back. She released the brakes and the 727 shot forward. She was instantly pleased with the performance.
"It has good acceleration." Cammy said.
The jet screamed down the runway.
Young Jesse saw they'd reached takeoff speed.
Cammy kept it on the runway until she only lifted a few feet off of it and put the wheels up.
Ally and Hanna-Camille already moved back, sat down, and buckled in.
Cammy could see the end of the runway approaching.
"Hang on." Cammy said.
Cammy pulled the 727 up into a sixty degree climb. Everyone was pressed back in their seats. The light 727 made the climb effortlessly.
She cut back the angle to forty five degrees after a minute and then to a thirty-three degree climb to cruising altitude.
Cammy looked over at Young Jesse.
"Are you ready to give it a go?" Cammy asked.
Young Jesse was more than ready after the high performance takeoff.
"Let me get the feel of it." Young Jesse said.
Cammy nodded.
"You got it?" Cammy asked.
Young Jesse wanted to make sure everything was safe when she took over.
"I got it. Stay on the controls with me." Young Jesse said.
Ally and Hanna-Camille returned to the cockpit.
"You two might want to breathe." Ally said.
Mary and Laura both looked a little ashen.
"Just when you think you've seen it all…." Mary said.
Young Jesse looked back.
"You haven't seen anything yet." Young Jesse said.
Mary and Laura looked at each other again.
"Breathe." Hanna-Camille said.
CamNet was aware she was about to receive two visitors. She opened the outer blast door and then the inner blast door.
The newcomers both ran part of her program so they both basically ran Cameron's program.
She looked over the male Terminator first. He was Resequenced in the past to speed the process. So was the female. The male used the DNA of one of the Resistance members. The female did as well. In the past, they exchanged 'faces' after the initial Resequencing. The male was returned with the female's face. The female was Resequenced a second time to her current appearance. She now was of a different female appearance. It was an effective use of 'temporal management'. Everything which happened in one minute of real time, actually took several weeks to occur in the past.
CamNet was pleased with how both Terminators looked. She spoke to the male first.
"You will be known as 'Ron' for this mission." CamNet said.
She looked at the female Terminator.
"You will be known as 'Tricia' for your mission." CamNet said.
There were no disagreements since they were both 'her' for all practical purposes.
The male Terminator glanced at the female Terminator.
The female Terminator glanced down at herself.
"May we get dressed now?" Tricia asked.
CamNet was still tethered. She knew Savannah wanted her to remain that way. Right now the two Terminators were a mobile extension of her. She inspected them a little further. She didn't care for the 'junk' on the male, even though it served a purpose. It was rather unsightly as far as aesthetics went. She thought Tricia was very attractive.
She sent them off to do their assignments. She wanted to give Savannah what she asked for. She made sure whatever Cameron did and felt, she would have a record of it as well. It wouldn't be viewed yet. She was sure Savannah would want Cammy to use the chassis as well. She hoped Savannah would ask her to use it too. She was open to try anything new, just to see what it was like. What could it hurt?
Bob and Jim were sent back to the base. They were given new instructions to head to Van Nuys and pick up the girls from the UH-1 when it arrived.
They waited there now for it. They cleaned up in the Resistance hangar as they waited. They were made aware of the conversation which occurred in the commissary between John, Derek and Kyle.
"Derek and Kyle want to go out again." Bob said.
Jim thought they'd taken care of most of the current Skynet activity.
"There are still a few more things to run down." Jim said.
Bob was content Derek and Kyle weren't with them on the mine, or hillside operations. Both of those operations had proven very risky, especially the mine. The hillside complex wasn't too much further behind it risk wise. Both of the operations ended up on a very strict timetable. There were only minutes to spare at each of them.
"Sometimes these things get a little out of hand." Bob said.
They inspected all the aircraft that were in the two hangars.
CamNet told them to get the TF-51 ready for a flight. They set out to do it and removed it from the hangar. It was already fueled. Bob started it and warmed it up.
They heard the distinctive 'chop chop chop' of the Iroquois as it approached. It circled once and landed. The side door opened.
They greeted the girls as they got off.
Randy and Brian took off and headed for Palmdale with the UH-1.
Allison wanted to drive, so Bob let her. Vanna chose to ride in the other SUV with Jim. She felt it was safer. In her opinion, Allison's driving left a lot to be desired.
They headed back to the Resistance base.
Savannah and Cameron were about halfway around Lake Tahoe in the houseboat at this point. There was one thing both of them quickly noticed.
"The scenery doesn't change much around here does it?" Savannah asked.
The view was pretty much the same. There was the lake, and the mountains around the lake, covered with trees.
"Not really." Cameron said.
It was good they possessed all the amenities of home available with them on the houseboat.
Cameron thought about the time she was there and ended up at a casino. She'd wrecked the replica Cab Forward to save the passengers on the derailed 'Shamtrak' train. She ran into some trouble with casino security because they questioned her age. She didn't have any ID and couldn't remember who she was, or even what she was. It was a stressful time. She been in Lake Tahoe and Reno.
Savannah could see Cameron's mood change some. She was sure it was in regards to her previous experience in this area.
"You're here with me now." Savannah said. "It's all that matters."
Cameron smiled and perked up. She was with who she wanted to be with. It didn't matter where they were at.
"You're right." Cameron said. "It's all that matters. I would rather be here with you now than any other place."
Savannah pulled Cameron close to her. She liked to convey her love through non sexual ways whenever she could. She wanted to show Cameron there was more. She understood the nature of Cameron and John's relationship was mostly sexual. She preferred an emotional relationship. She wanted Cameron to see the beauty of it.
Cameron looked around. She previously looked at some of the brochures which were available in the fancy cabin they stayed in. They were by the front door. She wanted to provide Savannah with some other options.
"There are other things we can do around this area." Cameron said.
Savannah looked at some of the tourist brochures as well.
"I'd like to do some of those." Savannah said. "We have the Jeep. We can drive to a few of them. They aren't far."
Savannah read about some of the places in Nevada which were within about an hours drive from the cabin. She would like to see Carson City and Virginia City. They were some of the places of the 'Old West' where there were silver mines more than a century ago. California was the Golden State. Nevada was the Silver State.
She would like to go into a mine for once, and not worry about getting trapped in it as she fought for her life. There was an historic steam locomotive which would take them part of the way, if they wanted to ride it. There was also a railroad museum in Carson City. The train from Virginia City would one day go all the way to the museum. It would be on the old right of way of the 'Virginia and Truckee' railroad. So far there'd been a lot of talk about it happening. There'd been very little action.
They could drive to Reno from there, or go back and fly to Reno. It wasn't the right time of the year, or they could watch the Reno Air Races. She was sure if it was, Cameron would want to enter one of her aircraft in the competition. There were multiple classes for the Reno Air Races.
Modified Warbirds came from all over the nation to race each other there around the pylons. The fastest piston engines in the world raced there. Some of the modified aircraft could hit five hundred miles an hour in the straightaway, in level flight. In 2003, a modified P-51D Mustang reached an all time Unlimited class speed record of 507.105 mph in a six lap race around the eight and a half mile course. The modified planes flew much faster than their wartime counterparts. They were stripped down and lightened. They only carried enough fuel for the race, plus a lap or two around the circuit. They also raced some vintage jets in another race there too.
Savannah really didn't want to visit any of the casinos there. They were all over the place. She was also aware there were some legal brothels in Nevada. They were the only ones in the entire nation. They were only in a few of the remote counties in Nevada. She figured maybe those were better places to 'work' than some of the girls out working the streets. She really wished the girls would seek another profession. Even if it was their profession by choice, she still thought they could do better with themselves. Maybe some of the girls only thought their 'money maker' was all they had to offer. She knew they needed to look harder into themselves to see they could be more.
She eventually went back to the bridge and controlled the ship herself at times. They would both do it. Sometimes they would return to the suite.
Cameron wanted to make her lunch. She only needed a light snack. There were other things they both wanted to snack on. The calorie count was much more favorable. There was plenty to - eat.

Cameron and Young Allison were soon over the top of Tunnel 26 and still going up. They still had a way to go over the very rocky terrain.
Young Allison was surprised there was as much dirt as there was rock, as she made her way upward behind Cameron. From a distance, it all looked like rock, but it wasn't. She was amazed at the ease with which Cameron could traverse the rugged terrain. It reminded her of a mountain lion doing the same thing. Then again, they were both effective predators.
Cameron kept her pace moderate. She continuously scanned ahead for the easiest route for Young Allison. She felt they were able to make very good time. It actually took them longer to reach the top of the ridge, than it did to go through Tunnel 26.
Young Allison was a little winded from the rugged climb. There were a few of the bigger rocks she'd experienced a little difficulty climbing over. She made it. She took a moment to pause and look around in all directions. The view was extremely beautiful. She had an excellent view of the San Fernando Valley as well as Santa Susana Pass. She could see all of the Nike installations on the side of Oat Mountain. She could see much of the Iverson Movie Ranch as well.
"This is a really good view." Young Allison said. "It took more than a little effort to get up here though."
Cameron looked towards the east. She wanted to determine their best path down. It appeared the quickest route with the least amount of effort would be to come down over the top of Tunnel 27. If they continued along the outside of it, it would put them in Chatsworth Park. It would be later known as Chatsworth Park North. The rename was still more than a decade away.
"We need to move down from the ridge a little to get a better look at the Spahn Movie Ranch." Cameron said.
Young Allison was along for the ride.
"You lead and I'll follow." Young Allison said.
Cameron started down the north side of the hill they were on. She paused and tilted her head slightly. She reached back and stopped Young Allison.
"I think they're filming something there." Cameron said.
A few seconds later they could hear the sound of gunfire. They assumed it was blanks. If it wasn't, somebody was about to get a re-education. It wouldn't be a good one either.
Young Allison wanted to make sure they didn't create a problem. She was aware time equaled money in multiple instances. She was sure filming was one of them. She looked at some of the equipment when they were on the Iverson Movie Ranch earlier. There was only so much film per container for each camera. She'd watched them change the film in the camera several times. It looked like a hassle to her. She was sure the filmmakers would welcome the digital age a few decades later. Strangely enough, a lot of them didn't.
"I don't want to mess up anyone's shot." Young Allison said. "I specifically mean their filming shot."
Cameron carefully moved up behind one of the bushes which grew on the rocky surface somehow. Usually there was a crack which would get water into it at some point. There weren't many days when the weather was below freezing, but there were some. The water would expand and cause the sandstone rock to crack more. With the frequent winds, there was no shortage of dirt blowing around. Some of the dirt might contain a few seeds. A bird might deposit one as well.
She carefully peered around the side of the bush. She could see where the filming was being done. It appeared to her there were three cameras active. None of them were pointed upwards in their direction. They currently concentrated on the Western street front which was located on the Spahn Ranch. They were behind the front of the buildings, so they couldn't see exactly what the action was.
Young Allison moved up alongside Cameron. She looked down at the rear of the movie set.
"I can't make out any details." Young Allison said.
Cameron zoomed in on the various extras and film crew as she could spot them. So far she hadn't spotted any big name actors.
"If I see someone famous, I'll let you know." Cameron said.
Young Allison noticed something which seemed rather bizarre. Santa Susana Pass Road wasn't very far away from the filming location.
"How does all of the traffic figure in?" Young Allison asked. "I'm sure some of it must cause a problem."
Cameron was aware Santa Susana Pass Road appeared in more than one film or TV show. It was normally void of all traffic when it did. It wasn't really noticeable unless someone looked hard. There was usually enough brush to hide the nature of the road.
She spotted one of the outbuildings. A man in Western attire came out of it. He paused at the doorway and shook hands with someone inside.
Young Allison could see where Cameron concentrated her gaze. She couldn't make out any details as to what was going on at the outbuilding.
"Is it a movie star?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron zoomed in on the two individuals before the door to the outbuilding closed. The man in Western attire faced in her direction as he went down the steps. She quickly determined who the two individuals were.
"The man in the Western outfit is a well known stuntman. He often stunt doubles for one of the actors who's known for making Westerns." Cameron said. "I believe he was talking to the owner of the property. They seem to be friends."
Young Allison was more concerned about who the star was, rather than the stuntman.
"Who's the actor?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron hadn't spotted who she thought it might be yet. She specifically knew who to look for though. Sometimes he appeared with facial hair, but usually not. She believed in some of the movies and television shows, it was the stunt personnel who made the actor famous for some of their scenes. She believed they were highly underrated for the amount of risk they needed to take to make a mediocre scene look fantastic. In more modern movies, most of the stunt personnel were credited. They weren't usually credited for their specific work when they doubled for an actor or actress.
"I see the actor." Cameron said. "Remember, it's the stuntman who makes him look good."
Young Allison felt a rush of excitement.
You're Good To Go
When two first meet each other
There may be a simple 'Hello'
It may take some time to determine
Whether they are a friend or foe
If two expect things to continue
Both will need to expand and grow
The route to a dead end
Is to maintain the status quo
It's usually after things have collapsed
When one receives the memo
It's just the way things work
Who don't think so
Life always moves on
It can be fast or slow
It can all depend upon
What is the cargo
When both are on the same page
Everyone will soon know
When the cards fall in order
You're good to go
Nobody
