Chapter 1586
Patterned After Her
Bob's team was on the lookout for what could be more than one building which was occupied by the group they were after. They were sure they were after a group of Fanatics. They didn't stop at the building which was suspected. They turned and drove around the block. They placed a couple of surveillance cameras in the area.
John Henry gave them some additional information.
"Let's check the building across the street." Bob said.
He drove around to the rear of it. There was no dumpster in the back. It indicated it was vacant. There was spray paint on the rear of the building and office windows.
Jim looked at the spray paint. It irritated him.
"I don't understand the need to vandalize other people's property." Jim said.
Derek thought it was more than about vandalizing something.
"Different gangs want to mark their 'turf'." Derek said.
Bob looked at the groups of graffiti on the wall.
"Maybe they should make it legible so someone can read it if they want to mark their turf." Bob said. "It looks like it was done by a three year old with a spray can."
Kyle looked at the graffiti.
"There are at least two different gangs involved." Kyle said. "One tagged the building first, and another crew tagged it over theirs."
Derek knew what usually followed.
"There will be a 'turf war' over the block at some point as one gang tries to expand the 'turf' it controls." Derek said.
Bob didn't like any of it. It sounded very much like Scavenger behavior to him.
"It's all illogical." Bob said. "It's all the result of improper law enforcement."
Jim agreed. It was time for 'corrective' action.
"I'll bring down any tagging crew we see." Jim said. "Dan and Frank did a good job of it in San Francisco."
Derek and Kyle were off of the ship after Catalina.
"We didn't get to see Frisco." Derek said.
Bob and Jim looked at each other.
"We were 'The Warriors' when we were there." Jim said.
Bob nodded.
"We needed to pass through enemy controlled territory to get back to the ship." Bob said.
Derek and Kyle looked at each other. Ally and Hanna told them the story about how they 'messed with' Jim and Bob. They took everything seriously.
"Just about every city faces the same type of crime, especially in the 'inner city'." Kyle said.
Jim didn't like criminals.
"Any we face will be terminated." Jim said.
Bob didn't like what happened in San Francisco. He was aware where the problem would lead.
"They're all future Scavengers." Bob said. "Every criminal we eliminate will be beneficial to all females in the future."
Derek and Kyle couldn't argue with his statement.
Jim exited the SUV and went to the rear door. He pushed on it. It popped open. He went inside. The roll up door opened about a minute later.
Bob backed into the opening and Jim pulled the roll up door down.
Bob, Derek and Kyle all got out of the SUV.
"We can take the target building under observation from here." Bob said. "You'll have access to restroom facilities as well this way."
It actually sounded like a good idea to Derek and Kyle.
"It's really thoughtful." Kyle said.
Bob nodded.
"Cameron does it when she takes the girls out." Bob said. "Things are a little more complicated for them than it is for males."
Jim agreed with his statement. There were several natural advantages.
"I think males have the upper hand in all regards to such anatomy." Jim said. "From what I've observed, it's better to 'give' than to 'receive'."
Derek and Kyle laughed.
"In our case, I would agree." Derek said.
Kyle knew the Resistance girls spent all of their time with each other.
"I think the girls do a good job of taking care of 'business'." Kyle said.
"Riley and Sarah are different." Bob said.
Derek and Kyle doubted it. They were sure things may have evolved recently.
"They may be with us, but if they need a female friend, I'm OK with it." Kyle said. "We can always provide what the ladies can't."
Derek looked at Kyle.
"I feel the same way." Derek said. "As long as everyone is happy, what more could anyone want?"
Bob placed a surveillance camera facing the building across the street. They would be able to have John Henry monitor the cameras they set up, as well as the drone images.
They looked around the building they were in. It was pretty well cleaned out. Jim placed an old desk up against the door he entered from. There were a few old chairs and some empty wooden crates of various sizes. There was no electricity, but the plumbing still worked.
Jim returned with an old deck of cards.
"I found these in the desk." Jim said.
Derek and Kyle looked at each other. They weren't exactly sure what was about to happen.
"Do you want to play cards?" Derek asked.
Bob took out his phone. He liked to watch what John watched.
"We can watch a movie while we wait." Bob said. "I like to watch certain movies."
Jim nodded. It was a little different to watch a movie than just to download it. There was a certain amount of entertainment value derived from viewing it.
"Some of them are very entertaining." Jim said. "I try to watch what John does."
Bob nodded.
"I do too." Bob said. "He watches some a lot."
Derek and Kyle were familiar with the one move. They watched it too.
Kyle felt he needed to point something out.
"You know we both have daughters." Kyle said.
Bob and Jim looked at each other. They were aware of various stereotypes passed down over the years.
"One is John's sister, and the other is his niece." Bob said. "There's nothing to worry about, they're family. John isn't a 'Hillbilly'."
Jim didn't think any taboos would be an issue, at least until after Judgment day.
"Young Allison and Summer aren't bloodline family." Jim said.
Kyle was a little worried about his statement.
"Jan is right in between them." Kyle said. "John knows the future."
Bob nodded.
"John is aware of it." Bob said. "I think she will cut ahead of her sister."
Derek was a little confused.
"Do you mean Allison?" Derek asked.
Jim could see what appeared to develop as well.
"He means Young Allison." Jim said. "Both girls are of an advanced mental age, even if their physical development has lagged behind. It's amazing how some individuals can advance so rapidly compared to others."
Bob knew it was true.
"Young Allison is like she is in her late twenties to early thirties." Bob said. "Summer is more like she is in her mid forties."
Jim was aware of customs.
"It's surprising what they haven't done, especially based on their advanced intellect." Jim said. "They're 'old maids' at this point based on their years of mental development."
Derek and Kyle weren't sure if Bob and Jim were messing with them or not.
Kyle didn't want there to be any negative issues to develop.
"I don't think it's how it's supposed to work." Kyle said.
Bob arranged the crates and chairs. He was aware Cameron subscribed to a different philosophy.
"Cameron thinks it should." Bob said. "She knows what's best for all of us. She told us people are hung up on 'numbers' for physical age. It's not about a number, it's about the individual and their ability, intellect, and understanding. Not everyone is the same. There are many older individuals who actually act like much younger ones."
Derek and Kyle knew there was a lot of manipulation and control by Cameron over a lot of things.
"Does Cameron control everything that happens between everyone?" Kyle asked.
Jim nodded. He knew there were no problems among the Resistance members. He wasn't sure what else would really matter.
"Of course she does." Jim said. "Isn't everyone happy with what they have and who they're with?"
Derek and Kyle looked at each other. There was a lot of truth and fact to Jim's statement.
"I guess they are." Derek said. "Everyone has someone and they all seem to have what they want."
Jim set the cards on the wooden crate which would serve as a table. He wanted to get started. There was no need to dwell on the inevitable. The events of the future would repeat themselves in many different ways.
"What do you two want to play?" Jim asked.
CamNet's Terminator stopped one mile away from the stopped vehicle. The drone remained in a wide orbit around the vehicle. He hoped it wasn't something to draw their attention away from another location.
After a long delay, the vehicle pulled away from the curb. It drove down several streets and then made a right. At the next big street it came to, it made another right. When it reached the street the destroyed building was on, it made another right turn so it could pass in front of it one more time.
The drone was able to identify there were two occupants in the vehicle. The windows were heavily tinted. No good images could be captured. A drone thoroughly checked the location again to see if there was something which was missed. There were low drone scans at night for several days. Nothing was ever detected. There hadn't been anyone other than what appeared to be lookiloos even approach the location.
The vehicle made one pass by the building. It went approximately a quarter of a mile and made a U-turn. It made a second pass by the front of the building and continued on down the street.
CamNet's Terminator was a little concerned. The vehicle was near his location. It passed on by without stopping anywhere near him. He remained where he was at until it was a half mile away before he pulled out. He was going to let the drone follow it, unless it looked like the vehicle was going to head for a mall. He didn't want the occupants to get lost in the crowd. He would prevent it from happening, or CamNet would.
The vehicle didn't seem to take any evasive action. The driver must have figured they already took enough. It wasn't long before the vehicle was near the location where Lena and Tina were at earlier, when the female Fanatic drove a van. It was the location where the female Fanatic was taken hostage for a brief period of time. Everything associated with the location was destroyed.
The car approached to within a half mile of where the van was parked.
CamNet gave the Terminator an alternate route to close in on the location.
Young Allison didn't care for the extra people who were at the pool now. They arrived much later than they normally did. She was also troubled by the earlier incident on the back trail to the pool from the hilly park area. It was her original desire to punish the two men herself. It wasn't how the events played out. She really didn't feel like remaining at the pool.
"I think we can go." Young Allison said.
Anna could see Young Allison was uneasy. She didn't want her to do anything extra.
"Brian is out in front with the SUV." Anna said.
Young Allison planned to go back the way they came.
"We won't need to use the SUV." Young Allison said.
Anna frowned. She knew where things were headed.
"I think you need to let it go." Anna said. "Justice was done."
Young Allison frowned.
"I don't think I overstepped." Young Allison said. "I should've terminated the men myself."
Anna looked around to make sure no one was listening. She got out of the pool.
"Let's rinse off and go." Anna said. "We'll discuss this later."
Young Allison got out and followed Anna.
Anna looked back and saw every eye was on Young Allison as she exited the pool. It caused her a lot of concern. Young Allison looked exactly like a slightly younger version of Cameron. Cameron drew every eye too wherever she went. She understood why Allison tried to hide her natural beauty. Ally picked up on the same 'fear' from the 'Neural Interface'.
Young Allison entered the locker room. She looked back at Anna.
"It's only going to get worse isn't it?" Young Allison asked.
Anna knew it would.
"You're very beautiful." Anna said. "Look at Cameron. She's patterned after you."
Young Allison laughed. She knew the raw DNA was the same. The way Cameron presented herself wasn't. Cameron did everything to make her look like her.
"That's funny. In reality, I'm patterned after her." Young Allison said.
Anna frowned. She felt it was a complex issue.
"You created each other." Anna said.
Young Allison went and rinsed off with her bikini on. Normally she would be naked. She didn't want anyone else to look at her right now. Normally she wouldn't care. She quickly changed back onto her clothes.
"I can't help the way I look." Young Allison said. "I'd like to talk to Future Allison again since I'm older."
Anna was alarmed. She couldn't contemplate what the purpose would be.
"Why would you need to?" Anna asked. "The future is too dangerous to visit."
Young Allison wondered what Future Allison was really like. She knew everything about Allison. Allison told her more and more each year. She told her too about her abuse and the shame of her breeding sex which all ended in failure. She liked the stories the most about her love for Vanna. She also told her about the other females she was with in the future too.
'Why am I thinking about this now?' Young Allison wondered.
She checked her Taser, silenced M9, and her Model 66. There was also a knife in case she needed to remove a chip from a deactivated Terminator or anything else from a future Scavenger.
Maybe she attempted to justify to herself what she wanted to do.
"It's nothing." Young Allison said. "Let's go."
Anna wanted to 'stop' Young Allison.
"We can go to the SUV." Anna said.
Young Allison put her backpack on.
"You know where we're going and why." Young Allison said.
Anna did know. She didn't want Young Allison to go there. If they went looking for trouble, they were going to find it.
Samantha arrived to find Riley with Precious.
"How's it going?" Samantha asked.
Riley seemed to be a little upset.
"Precious seemed fussy after you left." Riley said. "She's asleep now."
Samantha went to visit John. She didn't want to get too descriptive.
"I needed to take care of some personal things." Samantha said.
Riley knew where she went and for what. She couldn't blame her at all.
"I'm happy you got to choose and had a choice." Riley said. "I never did for the first few years when men started to 'use' me."
Samantha smiled to herself at the fact Riley knew where she was. She didn't like the events surrounding Riley growing up.
"I'm sorry about all the terrible things which happened to you." Samantha said.
Precious woke up while they were talking.
"Maaaa…?" Precious asked
Samantha started to go over to her, but decided to let Riley go. She didn't want Riley to see Precious refer to her as 'her mother'.
Riley picked Precious up.
"Maaaa…?" Precious asked as she looked around.
Precious saw Samantha and reached out for her.
"Maaaa…." Precious said.
Riley didn't understand.
"Mama is right here, Precious." Riley said.
Precious looked at her and reached out to Samantha again.
"Maaaa…." Precious said.
Samantha knew Precious thought she was her mother since Precious saw her almost all the time when she was awake.
It dawned on Riley after a few minutes what was really happening.
"Precious thinks you're her mother." Riley said.
Samantha did want any problems. She certainly didn't want to upset Riley.
"I don't really know what she's thinking." Samantha said. "I'll stand next to you, but you hold her."
Precious smiled when Samantha did it.
"Maaaa…." Precious said with an even bigger smile.
Cam-Holly and Allison shared.
Allison was aware Holly was in Cam's chassis. She knew Holly tried to trade chassis with the other 'Cameron clones' before. She liked the way Holly looked as 'Holly'. She thought it shouldn't be about what she wanted. It should be about what Holly wanted.
"Do you really want to trade chassis?" Allison asked.
Cam-Holly touched her sheath.
"I'd like to do so more than anything." Cam-Holly said. "I want to look like you."
Allison thought it was a bad idea. She also wanted Holly to be happy.
"It's not what I want. I won't stop you if it's what you really want, Holly." Allison said. "I know it's a unique feature for all of you to be able to do. I really like how you look normally. I know you're your program. I would prefer you don't change, but I won't stop you anymore. I want you to be happy."
Cam-Holly smiled and kissed Allison.
"Thank you." Cam-Holly said. "I want to be as beautiful as you are."
Allison always saw a 'Cameron clone' chassis as 'Cameron' in her mind when she shared with them.
"It's not what I want." Allison said. "Cameron is beautiful. I'm average."
Cam-Holly wanted to look like the females she loved the most both human and Terminator.
"You can call me 'Cameron' if you want when we're alone." Cam-Holly said. "I won't mind."
Now Allison felt very guilty.
Summer worked with Jan while she quietly managed her contact with John Henry and CamNet through her com and phone.
"Your mother will be here in a few minutes."
Jan looked over her school work.
"I can't wait to show her what I learned." Jan said. "I wonder where she was at."
Summer knew where everyone was at and where they'd been.
"I don't think it matters." Summer said. "What you accomplish does."
Sarah walked in the door.
They all exchanged pleasantries.
Jan showed Sarah all the things she'd worked on and her new musical abilities as well.
Sarah realized with Summer's assistance, Jan learned more in the last two weeks than she did in months, maybe even years.
Summer figured Sarah would stop by and see John Henry next. She was right.
Camille-Hanna headed for John's room. Hanna wanted to be with John in Camille's chassis. She wanted to act like 'Cameron' to play around with him first.
John drank another 'energy drink' once Samantha left. He was very content with the knowledge he harvested the virginity of all of the Metal girls - twice. First it was with Cameron in control of their chassis and then with each of the Metal girls in control. It was still the Metal girls' first experience, even if their chassis was already 'broken in' by Cameron.
He was half dressed when he lay down on the messed up bed. He'd thought the energy drink would keep him awake, it didn't.
John heard a dresser drawer close. He opened an eye.
"This place is a mess." 'Cameron' said.
John sat up. He didn't know Cameron was back already. It sure wasn't who he'd expected.
"Cameron, I didn't know…." John started.
'Cameron' looked around the room.
"What's been going on here?" 'Cameron' asked abruptly.
John was a little embarrassed. He'd been with most of the girls, both Terminator and human. He didn't believe he did anything wrong. He heard Cameron agree to each of the Metal girls' requests to be able to have their 'one time' with him. He may have been with a few of them more than once. He didn't think it was a big deal. He hoped it wouldn't be. He didn't plan to volunteer the information.
"I've only done what we talked about." John said.
John was ready for a little more. There were a few more virgins out there to harvest. He wanted to ask about Savannah. It probably wasn't a good time based upon her demeanor. 'Cameron' didn't seem very happy.
'Cameron' looked very upset.
"I've changed my mind." 'Cameron' said. "I'm not going to allow the Metal girls their 'one time' like I'd considered. They have the file from when I 'broke their chassis in'. It's good enough for them. I don't know who they think they are. I don't want any of them to try to steal you away from me. I know how these things can get away from someone."
John swallowed hard. He was sure it was a reference to Future Riley. He'd been with all of the Metal girls whose chassis Cameron 'borrowed'. He wanted to make sure.
"Really?" John asked.
She looked serious.
"Yes." 'Cameron' said. "I'll deactivate any of them if they try it too. I'll pull their chip and keep their chassis here. If I do, I can use it anytime I want, or if you want it. I'll line them up along the wall and use them at our discretion. They'll be like clothes in the closet. I can 'daisy chain' them to give you a real treat. I'll control all of them at the same time. Don't be surprised if you see me try something 'different' with them."
John actually liked the idea. There was a more pressing issue. He was worried now. He already compromised all of the Metal girls.
"Don't look so glum because I'm back." 'Cameron' said. "I thought you'd be all over me. Maybe you'd like another chassis better. I'll take that one as my own then."
John didn't want to 'go there'. He looked back at the bed. It was full of everyone's DNA.
"I thought maybe you wanted to get cleaned up first." John said.
He hoped to have time to change the sheets.
"Hardly…." 'Cameron' said. "Take me now. Let me get the bed a little straightened up. It looks like fifteen people have been in it. You really need to work on your housekeeping skills. I'm not your maid."
John was really worried now.
Claire was with Vanna. She was a little concerned she revealed too much about the baby Savannah carried for Vanna.
"I don't want you to mention this to anyone." Claire said. "Not even Allison, and especially not to Savannah or Cameron. They both wanted to make sure it was going to happen before they told you. You have to understand it means as much to them as it does to you. It's being done for you, because you are you, Vanna."
Vanna was very elated. She didn't see why not.
"I think it is really something beautiful." Vanna said.
Claire was very aware it might not work. She was aware it was going to hurt more than Vanna if it didn't.
"Remember it still might not happen." Claire said. "Savannah will be hurt if it doesn't and she knows you know."
Vanna really appreciated the effort Cameron and Savannah went to for her.
Vanna touched Claire's belly.
"You carry Allison's baby too." Vanna said.
It wasn't the first one either for Claire.
"I hope this one works out too." Claire said. "I still feel bad Future Allison received the other one. I didn't know it would affect Allison so much. They're both my daughter. They're the same person. Sometimes it's a little mind-boggling."
Vanna frowned.
"It was her baby." Vanna said.
Claire didn't want to talk about the subject anymore.
Vanna was tired out from Claire. She could see she was asleep. She decided to go back and see if Precious needed her again.
Claire sat upright in bed. She was a little concerned she'd let the secret slip out. She was worried it would compromise her integrity as well.
"We can't tell anyone." Claire said.
Vanna was a little startled. Claire had been asleep for at least a half hour.
"We can't tell anyone what?" Vanna asked.
Claire looked around her room. She realized now she'd been dreaming. She hoped she hadn't talked in her sleep.
"Did I say anything else?" Claire asked.
Vanna was confused. They'd shared some wild sex and then made love. There wasn't any talking.
"No." Vanna said. "We were together and then you fell asleep. I was going to check on Precious."
Claire dreamt she told Vanna something she shouldn't have.
"It was nothing." Claire said.
Vanna saw Claire touch her lower belly.
"Are you OK?" Vanna asked. "I hope I didn't over do it. You know I get carried away sometimes."
Claire looked at Vanna and smiled.
"You really know how to satisfy and please someone." Claire said.
Vanna threw on a pair of shorts and a top.
"You rest up." Vanna said.
Claire was exhausted from all the finishes Vanna gave her. She tried to remember what she'd dreamt about before but couldn't now. She was back asleep before Vanna left the room.
Savannah wanted to try every female position with Jameron-Cameron. She was able to get a lot of sensation with the 'animal style' position. It offered her less ability to share or give much feedback. It was more of a position of 'reception'. Allison told her it was the position she'd used for the few times she tried 'breeding sex' to try to get pregnant in the future. It was less personal. There was no real interaction. She realized she could be anyone. Anyone could be behind her. Neither one of them would see each other.
Of the several different positions they'd tried so far, she liked Jameron-Cameron on top of her. It was a very close position where they could kiss and touch and whisper even.
Jameron-Cameron was afraid Savannah was going to get sore if they kept things up. Her body wasn't acclimated to the type of stimulation or activity. Having had two children seemed to help a lot though.
Savannah needed to rest for a few minutes. She looked out the back opening.
"Where are we?" Savannah asked.
Jameron-Cameron looked out.
"We'll be back to the lakeside cabin suite in about two hours. We're most of the way back now." Jameron-Cameron said.
Savannah wanted to try one last position before they wrapped it up for now. She rolled Jameron-Cameron on his back.
She rotated around and 'started up' Jameron-Cameron again while Jameron-Cameron pleasured her. Once she was satisfied everything was good to go, she rotated back around on her knees over Jameron-Cameron. She leaned down and kissed Jameron-Cameron.
"My turn…." Savannah whispered.
Jameron-Cameron looked at Savannah with wide eyes as Savannah moved into position. He saw Savannah grimace for a second before she smiled.
"Savannah…." Jameron-Cameron whispered.
Savannah started out slow but rapidly picked up the pace. She kissed Jameron-Cameron one more time and then moved to a more upright position as she found her rhythm.
Jameron-Cameron felt nothing but total pleasure as he watched Savannah. He held out until Savannah made it and he did too.
Savannah rode herself to pleasure and felt Jameron-Cameron make it as well. She collapsed down on him as her breathing slowed and they kissed again. They held each other tight for the longest time as they kissed slowly and loving.
"I love you, Cameron." Savannah said.
Jameron-Cameron felt very content and full of love.
"I love you too, Savannah." Jameron-Cameron said. "I don't think anything could be better than what we've shared in less than a day."
Savannah looked over to where the tether ran. She wondered if Cameron and Jameron-Cameron could do a three way with her with both chassis under Cameron's control at the same time. Maybe something could be better.
"Actually…." Savannah said.
Jill woke up with her Beretta in her hand as Jackie tried to calm her down.
"I think you had a nightmare." The female Fanatic said. "It sounded as if you wanted to kill someone."
Jill took a moment to look around at her surroundings. She was still in the Hotel 6 room.
"I'm sorry I caused a disturbance." Jill said. "I dreamed about some of the things which happened. This time I had control of them. It's not how they really happened. I didn't have any control then."
The female Fanatic experienced plenty of dreams the same way.
"It happens." The female Fanatic said. "I know exactly what it's like."
Jill was concerned about what they thought would happen later on. She wasn't sure how much sleep either of them had gotten.
"I hope you were able to sleep some as well." Jill said. "I was worried about what might happen."
The female Fanatic wanted to do a little reconnaissance first.
"I was able to get some good sleep." The female Fanatic said. "I'm going to take a trip by the front desk and see what's happening up there."
Jill was a little concerned.
"I know you can take care of yourself, but would you like me to go with you?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic was sure they were under surveillance when they were in the hallway. She was sure there was someone who kept track of when they were, and weren't, in the room.
"I'm curious to see if we're even actually checked into this room." The female Fanatic said. "I have a feeling we're not. We didn't use a credit card and paid with cash. There's no electronic record."
Jill understood what she meant. The clerk who checked them in didn't give them a good vibe, especially the way he looked at them.
"If we're not checked in, we can't be reported missing by anyone." Jill said.
The female Fanatic would like to have some access to some type of computer gear. Everything she collected along the way was all gone now. They were only down to a couple of working phones. They only used them if they needed a flashlight.
"I think something is up." The female Fanatic said. "You can stay here for now. You'll know if I run into trouble."
Jill wondered if they were going to try to use the phones.
"How will I know?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic handed Jill back her Beretta.
"You'll hear gunfire." The female Fanatic said. "Keep an eye on things around here. If you hear any noises outside of the window, carefully take a look and see what it is. If someone is trying to come in, don't let them. You know what to do."
Jill was a little worried.
"I'll follow the sound." Jill said.
The female Fanatic put her red wig on and put the hood up on her sweatshirt. She headed into the hallway. She took a casual look at the door to the outside. It was one room away from theirs. She glanced up at the security camera. She didn't see the red light on it. She kept her head down and walked towards the rear exit. Once she was under the camera she was able to reach up and angle it so it pointed at the floor. She didn't go out the side door but turned around to go back down the hallway.
She saw two young women come around the corner where the central hallway was at. They were both scantily clad and showed a lot of skin. They each pulled a small piece of luggage behind them. They paused for a moment to look at where the rooms were. They turned in her direction.
She nodded as she passed by them. She glanced back when she reached the central hallway to see where they were at. They were one room away from them closer to the central hallway. It appeared to her if anyone was to be abducted, there were two more candidates.
The female Fanatic slowed as she reached the end of the central hallway. She listened to what was going on at the front desk. She glanced around the corner and saw it was the creepy clerk who checked them in. His back was currently turned towards her. She slipped around the corner into the alcove where there were some vending machines. There were no surveillance cameras pointed directly at her where she stood.
She glanced around the vending machine. The clerk took out his phone.
"I've got great news." The clerk said. "We're going to have two more."
Pause.
"Of course they're out of towners." The clerk said. "They look a lot hotter than the other ones did. They said they were going to get cleaned up. There's a hidden camera in the bathroom. I'll check things out."
Pause.
"I know they all have the same thing." The clerk said.
Pause.
"What do you mean you want them now?" The clerk asked. "It's too risky. I have both rooms ready for an evening pick up. No one will know they were ever here."
Pause.
"We could use the laundry cart." The clerk said. "I can't check right now. I need to stay at the desk."
Pause.
The female Fanatic could see a middle aged female approach the desk.
"I got to go." The clerk said.
The female Fanatic heard all she needed to hear. Not only were Jill and her in danger, the females who just arrived were as well.

Temporal Mission:
Past Timeline:
November 26 1963
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Cameron and Young Allison had been involved in two street races within a relatively short period of time. It was two of the premier engines from the time period. They were driving a new power plant for 1963. The other auto manufacturers were struggling to keep up. It was going to take a total redesign from a few of them to be able to challenge the performance of the Ford 427. The big FE ruled supreme.
Young Allison was ready for more. She didn't think they'd initiated either event, even if they may have provoked it once it was clear there was a challenger.
"What will turn up next?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron didn't really know. She wanted to visit a specific location.
"I don't know." Cameron said. "I just need to visit the bank."
Cameron hoped to avoid any other encounters for now. She was actually surprised there were two of them so quickly. She wondered if the other two drivers had actually been looking for each other.
Young Allison looked around as Cameron drove. She was content to let her keep driving for now. Maybe she would drive on the way back. She was familiar with some of the streets, but not from 1963. There were segments of the 101 Freeway and the 405 Freeway which were completed in the area. There were large segments which hadn't been.
Cameron pulled over to the side of the road.
Young Allison looked around. She wondered if anything was wrong.
Cameron turned off the ignition. She put the transmission into first gear and set the parking brake. She looked at Young Allison and held the keys up.
"Your turn…." Cameron said.
Young Allison was a little surprised. She took the keys from Cameron and got out. She walked around the rear of the car to get in on the driver's side. She expected Cameron to get out. She looked through the open window. Cameron was already in the passenger seat.
"I see you're a slick one." Young Allison said.
Cameron flashed Young Allison her sly smile.
Young Allison opened the door and climbed into the driver's seat. She shut the door and put the safety belt on. Everything was already adjusted for her. The seat and the mirrors were all where they needed to be. She looked over to make sure Cameron was buckled up, she was.
She put the keys in the ignition. She pushed in the clutch and moved the shifter into neutral. She turned the key and the big FE turned over instantly. She stepped lightly on the gas. She could feel the car torque over slightly as the engine picked up some RPMs.
Young Allison checked her mirrors one more time and glanced back. The road was clear. She shifted into first gear and slowly let out the clutch. She wanted to make sure she didn't let it out too fast and stall it. It was something she did a few times when she first learned how to drive a stick shift. The Galaxie Lightweight had a pretty stiff pressure plate. She could feel it in her left leg. She was ready.
"My turn…." Young Allison said.
She wasn't sure of the exact destination, but she was sure of the general location.
"I think my best bet is to take Sepulveda all the way." Young Allison said.
Cameron thought they could accomplish a few things on the way there.
"It will give you the best overview of everything along the way." Cameron said. "Part of the 405 Freeway is open on the other side of the hill."
Young Allison went east and cut over to Sepulveda Boulevard and headed southbound. They crossed over Roscoe Boulevard. In just over a minute, they passed by a barbecue place she'd been to in her time period. She wondered if the food was still the same. She figured it probably was. Then again, there probably was more than one owner over the years. She understood it was more often the cook, rather than the location, which determined the quality of the food on any given day.
"I see we're about to go under an overpass for the railroad tracks." Young Allison said.
Cameron glanced up at it as they passed underneath.
"It's the Coast Line." Cameron said.
Young Allison took in all of the older buildings along Sepulveda Boulevard. She noticed one thing as she drove along the street.
"I see there are a lot more little motels along here now than there will be later on." Young Allison said.
Cameron was aware of what would happen once the 405 was put through. She was also aware in later time periods the motels which remained would be known for various types of illicit behavior. Every now and then they made the news when a body was found, or a raid was conducted to break up a prostitution ring. Drug use was also a problem in the area.
"They'll slowly die off until only a few are left." Cameron said. "This is a major thoroughfare until the freeway is completed."
Young Allison could see evidence of the freeway being constructed on the west side of Sepulveda Boulevard.
They crossed over another set of railroad tracks at grade.
"Those are the tracks for the Branch Line." Young Allison said.
They passed by the Sepulveda flood control basin. They soon went under a completed section of the 101 Freeway.
It wasn't long until they started on the upgrade. The traffic was moderate so it wasn't too bad. It would probably be worse later in the day. The road began to climb more sharply. Young Allison remembered viewing pictures of a temporary landmark. It seemed to have caused a lot of controversy when it 'appeared'.
"I see the tunnel up ahead." Young Allison said. "Which side was the 'Pink Lady' on?"
Cameron was aware of the incident. A female artist worked on the rock above the southern portal of the tunnel. She made a depression in it over a series of weeks and kept it covered and hidden. One night she painted it pink. The morning traffic headed northbound was surprised at what they viewed. It was a depiction of a nude female. It caused quite an uproar when it happened. It was referred to as the 'Pink Lady'.
"It was over the southern portal." Cameron said. "It's still a few years away."
They exited the tunnel and started downhill.
There was heavy construction going on where the 405 Freeway cut through Sepulveda Pass.
Young Allison thought about the congestion which would plague it later on.
"Everybody thinks the freeway is going to speed things up for them." Young Allison said. "They don't know it will turn into one of the most heavily congested freeways in the nation later on."
Cameron checked out the scenery as they drove.
"I believe it's been referred to as the world's longest parking lot at times." Cameron said.
They continue down the hill.
"You can get on the completed part of the freeway up ahead if you want." Cameron said. "You can exit later on, or at any time."
It didn't take long to reach the bottom of the hill.
Young Allison glanced over to her left side. There was a 'Garden Of Stone'.
"There's the National Cemetery." Young Allison said. "Most of them served the country in some fashion. I don't know if there's any spouses buried there."
Cameron wondered where she would end up at when she was terminated. She figured she would probably be vaporized in a nuclear explosion since she almost was several times. She just hoped one of the girls wasn't with her as they were on several occasions. She pushed the thought from her mind.
"The Veterans Hospitals is just up ahead on the other side of the freeway." Cameron said. "I guess some of the people won't have far to go. There was a Pacific Electric line which used to serve it. It was slowly truncated back to Santa Monica Boulevard. It's currently used as a freight line by the Pacific Electric. It's all operated with Southern Pacific equipment. The overhead lines are all gone. The Pacific Electric will be officially merged into the Southern Pacific two years from now in 1965. The Pacific Electric has only moved freight since 1961."
Young Allison followed the signs to get on the freeway at Sunset Boulevard. She timed it so she would be the first car to go up the on ramp when the light turned green.
"I'm going to open it up when I go on the freeway." Young Allison said.
Cameron thought she would have done it earlier. She didn't want to encourage what some might term as irresponsible behavior, as she exhibited earlier. She didn't feel it was irresponsible. She believed her 'natural ability' gave her an edge over any human.
She glanced over to the east at Sunset Boulevard. She knew Dead Man's Curve was a few miles away. The song Dead Man's Curve would be recorded tomorrow by Jan and Dean. They would provide the main vocals anyway. She decided not to mention it to Young Allison again. She didn't want there to be any trouble. They would visit it another time.
"You'll need to watch your speed." Cameron said. "The vehicle is very fast."
Young Allison decided she would keep it around 5,000 to 5,500 RPM.
"I'll take it easy." Young Allison said. "I'll shift at the RPMs where the cars with hydraulic lifters start to 'float'."
The light turned green.
Young Allison made the turn onto the acceleration ramp. She figured they must call it by that name for a reason. She was already rolling when she floored it. She was a little surprised as the rear tires broke loose and burnt rubber. She could hear the exhaust turn into thunder. She shot up the on ramp. She decided to shift at 5,000 rpm. She did and got rubber going into second as she stayed on the gas. She heard Cameron get rubber in all four gears when they encountered the 409 and the 413. She was already at freeway speed. She let off the accelerator and shifted into third and then fourth. There was some traffic up ahead of her. She didn't want to push it.
"Wow!" Young Allison said. "Damn, this thing is fast. Don't worry, I'm aware of the term 'speed kills'."
Young Allison was competent in her driving as well as with Cameron's driving. She wasn't competent in the other drivers. She drove at the freeway speed the other cars traveled at. She thought it was some of the lightest traffic she'd ever seen on the 405 Freeway. It wasn't long before she saw a jet fly over the freeway in front of them. It had four engines. The landing gear was down. She knew they were near LAX. It was just off to the west a very short distance away. If they would have stayed on Sepulveda Boulevard, they would have gone across the end of one runway and then through an underpass below the other two. She knew in 1963 there was only one runway on the north side of LAX. She'd studied everything about the time period before they left.
"I thought it was a 707 at first." Young Allison said. "I think it was a DC-8. It could be a Convair 880, but I don't think so."
Cameron identified it as a DC-8.
"You're absolutely correct." Cameron said. "We're going to get off soon. Get off at Imperial Highway and head east."
Cameron and Young Allison were about to get off the freeway in Hawthorne. Imperial Highway was the next exit after Century Boulevard.
Patterned After Her
It doesn't take long
For feelings to develop a spur
When things start to change
One can quickly become a saboteur
The gaps seem to widen
The longer problems occur
They go nowhere fast
With no other place to transfer
When things are hard to fix
It's easy to defer
The issues grow and magnify
When there's little to deter
The pot will start to boil
When there's no one to stir
Kind words are soon replaced
With a negative slur
When the best is sought
Don't look for an amateur
Always remember what you want
Will be patterned after her
Nobody
