Young Luna was watching her mother casting a spell. She was allowed to do so as long as she stayed quietly in the corner. The pretty lights and lovely music suddenly turned ugly and discordant briefly before her mother cried out and fell down.
"MOMMY!" Luna cried as she ran to her mother. "MOMMY WAKE UP!"
"I'm sorry little one she will not wake up. She has gone on." Said an old man in a dark black suit that had appeared in the room.
"Who are you?" Luna asked through tear filled eyes.
"I am the one that all shall come to in their time. I am the end of all and the keeper of the final journey. I am death my child."
"Have you come for me too?" She asked nervously.
"No sweet little one. I came for your mother because it was her time. You have a far greater task you will need to do so your time is not now."
"I have a task?"
"Yes, my sweet little one. There is a boy named Harry Potter and a girl named Hermione Granger. They will need your help fighting a great evil."
"But Mommy? I'll miss her."
Touching her on the forehead he smiled gently, "As long as you remember her, it will be like she never left. And you will see her again someday. I promise."
Luna fought back sniffles as she stood up taking his hands, "Okay. I should go tell father."
Nodding death squeezed her hands, "Yes your father will need you to be strong little one. The world will need you."
Luna nodded as she slowly walked away to get her father. Death turned to the spirit of Pandora quietly waiting, "The path has been set, she will save the two of them."
Pandora nodded, "Then I am ready to go."
