Pansy wondered for the thousandth time why Hermione Granger had intervened on her behalf at the trials. Testifying that she had been a bigot and a bully but not a criminal. She owed her so much for that.

She had seen her boyfriend Draco go to Azkaban where he died. Other Slytherins she had gone to school with who had taken the mark were dead or in prison for long sentences. Only those who had sworn they did not support the blood purity or had someone intervene had managed to remain free.

She had begun to indulge herself in art. Throwing herself into painting ever more realistic pictures. She was pushing her magic to its limits but she didn't care, she had nothing left after the war had taken it all.

Finally she had managed to break through the limitations and bring one of her paintings to life, to have the image within love her back. Take her from the world of pain she existed within. She leaned forward to kiss him, her ideal lover.

...

Auror Harry Potter looked around the loft at the various paintings Pansy had been working on, or had completed and casually tossed aside. He was standing at the latest one still on its easel.

"Sir there's no sign of her leaving, all of her things are here. She must have just abandoned it." The rookie auror working with the freshly promoted Harry Potter.

"Alright. Let her next of kin know and file the report with the ICW under missing persons." he said shaking his head as he turned away from the picture.

"She was a really good artist. Some of these are very lifelike."

Turning back to the one on the easel that showed Pansy being held by her lover's embrace. Their eyes locked upon each other in eternal bliss he nodded. "Yeah. They are."
