One of KGFinkel's pictures given life.
Nine year old Hermione was on vacation with her parents. They were sitting nearby while she sat and played in the shallow water of the lake their caravan was parked beside.
A small glowing fish appeared in front of her as she watched it swirled in circles swishing the water around until she started to see images in it.
She saw a small black haired boy with glasses being chased by a lumbering giant. She saw him huddled in a dark and dirty cupboard. His face twisted in tears. The swirling fish showed her more images. Her and the black haired boy holding hands. An old father Christmas laughing with delight. A stern grandmother breaking into a smile as she and the black haired boy danced together.
The fish stopped and hovered, looking into her eyes as she smiled. She felt she had to do something very very important. The fish told her where the boy was located and how important it was she take care of him.
She nodded and ran out of the lake. "Mummy! Daddy! We have to go save someone. The glowing fish told me!"
Her parents looked at each other. Most parents who had a child tell them a glowing fish had talked to their child would laugh and smile. The Grangers had sen their daughter do too many strange things, talk to animals, make toys dance and float, to ignore her comment would not be a good idea they decided.
"Why do we have to save him?" Her father patiently asked as he calculated how quickly they could be packed and move onward.
"Because if we don't save him he can't grow up and be my husband when we save the world." She said with a determined expression beyond her nine years.
Her mother sighed as she saw the faint trickle of light floating away from the shore. "Tell us where and what we need to do dearie."
