Author Note: Set in the weeks after the end of Fifth Year.

Harry was sitting in his room at the Dursley's trying to pretend he didn't exist. Easily enough done as he was wishing he didn't exist. Sirius was dead, Hermione had almost died, his friends had been hurt. All because of him.
"BOY! YOU HAVE ONE OF YOURS HERE!" Vernon bellowed.
Harry had almost left his room when Hermione burst through the door to give him a hug so hard he felt his spleen groan. After several seconds the tearful girl released him only to grasp either side of his head and give him a kiss on the lips. A kiss that made every dementor in a 100 mile radius explode.
"Hermione?" Harry asked in confusion when she released him finally.
"Sorry Harry. I got your letter and yes. I love you too. I'll be happy to be your girlfriend." She said with a wet smile.
"My letter?" Harry repeated in confusion. "I didn't send a letter."
Hermione reached into her pocket and pulled a piece of parchment out. "You didn't write this?" She asked handing it to him with a worried and confused look on her face.
Harry read the words of love and pain and truth that were sprawled across the page in his loopy script. "I did write it. But I didn't send it. I tossed it in the garbage." He said sitting heavily on his bed with a sigh. Handing her the parchment back.
Hermione sat on the other end looking at him and looking at the paper she held now. She looked up at him and asked, "You never sent this?"
Harry took her hands quickly, "No. I was just too afraid to send it. I had no idea how you felt. I didn't want to lose your friendship. Besides you like Ron."
Hermione shook her head, "Not like that. Ron is like an annoying brother. I could never feel anything romantic for him in a million years. I like you. I. I love you."
Harry felt his heart stop briefly before she squeezed his hands. Smiling he felt the crushing weight of existence leave him, lifted from him by her presence.
Downstairs Vernon scowled at Petunia who merely smiled back absently. She had found the letter in the trash one day and feeling guilty at what she had been doing, feeling the pain of having driven her sister away so long ago, feeling empty in her current life, she had sent it to the girl Harry loved. It might not make up for all of the wrong things she had done but at least it would be a start.
Review Responses:
Timekeeper: Since theya re the same person that could also means synchronized periods, simultaneous pregnancies with oppositional cravings and urges. Finding some way to tell them apart easily. That could be an award winning sitcom.
OfficerDonNZ: True. Especially if they were feeling naughty and do the whole yeah I'll go out then the other one shows up and is like no I siad no. Messing with his head until he decides that multiple Hermiones is a threat to his sanity that was not worth it.
Exactly Draco was a paper dragon. One match and his power went up in smoke.
Dennisud: Okay. Will look into that.
