Jewel found herself hitting the floor, groaning. She rubbed her head as she picked herself up.
"Augh, that's the last time I try to stop a machine by blasting it." She said, looking around.
She stepped out into the city and her eyes widened.
"This is..." Jewel started, looking at the city of Tremorton!
"How!? Tremorton was destroyed during Jenny's famous battle for the earth?!" Jewel asked.
However, she had to think about this later. She touched her gem and turned back to her human form. She walked around the city, surprised to see the city she was built/born in. She never thought she'd get the chance to see it in its former glory. But nothing made sense, how is it still standing? She wasn't awake to see the city get destroyed, the early memories she had of it were the destroyed buildings and ruined places.
"Did that machine send me back in time?" Jewel asked herself.
She kept walking, unknowingly that she was heading for her birthplace.
"Come on, Jen! We're going to be late!"
Jewel stopped when she saw two people standing in front of a house, one she knew right away.
"Grandpa Tuck?" She asked, seeing the young version of Tuck.
She was even more shocked to see her SISTER, Jenny step out of the house, shocking her greatly.
"I'm coming, Brad. You know how mom is." Jenny said, walking up to them.
Jewel stood there. Not believing what she was seeing. She did. She went back IN TIME! How far back, she didn't know. But could this be her chance? her chance to know her sister before she disappeared? If so, she can't pass this up.
"Excuse me!" She said, running up to them.
"Oh, hi there!" Brad said, surprised to see her.
"I couldn't help but overhear about you guys being late to something?" Jewel asked.
"Yeah, The fair is going on and Jenny hasn't had the chance to go to one," Brad said.
'That's right! The first time Jenny wanted to go to the fair, she asked Mom to make her a human suit, but it was a rush job because of how close it was.'
"I heard of the fair, but I never been there myself," Jewel said.
"You haven't? You're missing out!" Brad said, surprised.
"So, I'm Jenny, and this is Brad and his little brother, Tuck," Jenny said, raising her hand.
"Jewel. I'm new in town." Jewel said, shaking her hand.
"Jewel? Really nice name." Brad said.
"Thanks, my mom calls me her little jewel, so I took up the name," Jewel said, sheepishly.
Tuck looked at her, finding it strange she almost looked just like Jenny. However, he didn't think much before his watch beeped.
"Come on! We need to get there before the line gets too long!" He said.
"Right! Want to join us?" Brad said then asked Jewel.
"Sure," Jewel said, trying to keep her excitement down. Whatever happened, she didn't want to lose this chance. She was going to do everything she could to ensure she can spend time with her sister.
Later,
Jewel smiled as she watched Jenny try a few games, breaking a few.
"Sorry." She would say.
Jewel smiles, having broken a few games herself during her first years of being awake. They walked through the fair, trying out other games that didn't break, and got a few cotton candies. Jewel felt bad that Jenny couldn't eat human food like she could, but she did surprise her by giving her a can of oil.
"Hey, Jewel? Are you okay?" Jenny asked as Brad and Tuck went on their own ride.
"Yeah? Why?" Jewel asked.
"You seem to be really close to me for some reason. As if you like me or something." Jenny asked.
"Oh, nothing like that. You see, I heard stories about you but I never had the chance to meet you. It was one of my wishes to get to know you." Jewel said.
"Wishes?" Jenny asked.
After quicking checking the date, Jewel nods and smiles.
"It's my birthday, today." She said.
"Oh, wow! Happy Birthday, then!" Jenny smiles.
"Thanks." Jewel smiles.
However, both Jenny's and Jewel's warnings kick in, making them both turn to the roller coaster. One of the wooden planks started to crack under the pressure of so many years. It finally broke, causing a whole section to come crashing down.
"Oh, Crikey." They said.
"I got to go!" Jenny said, flying towards the roller coaster.
Jewel stood, hoping to find a way she could help. She saw Jenny turn herself into a set of tracks, keeping the rolling coaster, and the riders, safe. However, she picked up on something else. She heard a groan and noticed that the Ferris Wheel had started to swag. She heard some screaming and turned to see Jenny trying to fix the roller coaster. Jewel didn't want to wait. This was not how she was planning on telling Jenny.
She touched her gem and turned into her robotic form again. She flew up to the Ferris Wheel and held it in place. Jenny was able to fix the track and turned to see Jewel in a robotic form, looking close to her.
"Jenny! You need to get the people out! I'm going to push this back in place!" Jewel shouted.
Jenny had questions, but she knew it was the time. She flew in and out of the carts, carrying people to safety. She turned to see Jewel push the Ferris wheel back in place before her coms actived.
"Jenny! I'm going to hold this! You need to weld the stand back into place!" Jewel said.
Jenny was surprised to find her coms turned on but followed what she told her. Jenny found the crack and quickly welded it back into place.
"Okay! Done!" She said, hearing Jewel remove her arms.
She floated down, seeing many people looking at her. Jenny flew down, looking at her.
"Who and what are you?" She asked.
Jewel sighs. This was not how she wanted this day to go.
"Let's go tell mom. It better that she knows about this too," Jewel said, surprising her.
Later, Wakeman House,
Nora was very shocked to see her robot daughter return with another robot that looked like her. She sat down and sighed.
"So? Who are you?" Jenny asked.
"My name is Jewel Wakeman. I'm your sister." Jewel said, shocking them both.
"WHAT?! But I only have 8 other sisters." Jenny said.
"I know. I'm not some kind of clone that was made by any of your enemies. I'm not even born at this time." Jewel said.
"At this time?" Nora asked.
"My name is Jewel, but my model number is XJ-10," Jewel said.
"XJ-10?!" Nora shouted, shocked.
"But I thought Mom was kidding!" Jenny said.
"She was. At the time. But I was built for a different reason. I'm the result of Nora Wakeman putting everything she had into me, turning me into an android that didn't have the barriers that my sisters had. I was human from the moment I woke up." Jewel said, looking at them.
"I could be and act human without needing someone to teach me most of the basics. However, I was sealed away after I was finished because Nora Wakeman thought I'd be too dangerous for the world. Sadly, she passed before I could be awoken, and was found by another woman who was into mom's studies. It... was hard. I was the only XJ-Series that was left. XJ-1 through 8 had shut down over the years and were placed in a museum. The owner even had spots for both me and you should we shut down at some point." Jewel said, looking away.
"What are you trying to say?" Jenny asked.
"I'm from the future. 50 years into the future, in fact." Jewel said.
"50 years?!" Jenny and Nora shouted.
"Hold on, are you saying that you time-traveled from the future?" Nora asked.
"I know it seems crazy, and I understand that you refuse to believe me, but it's the only thing I could think of. I'm unsure of it, myself." Jewel said.
"Wait, you said that XJ-1 through 8 were placed in the museum. What about me?" Jenny asked.
"You...disappeared after saving the planet. No one could find you. Not Mom, not Brad, not Tuck, not even Sheldon could find you. It was like you faded off the planet." Jewel said.
Jenny was surprised. She was missing?
"Now hold on, what proof do you have?" Nora asked, still finding this hard to believe.
Jewel had to think. There had to be a way she could show Nora she was truly from the future.
"Wait, didn't I see you turn from a human?" Jenny asked.
That made Jewel look up. She forgot! She touches her gem, changing back into her human form.
"Do you remember this gem?" Jewel asked her.
Nora got a closer look at it and was surprised. She knew that gem, she found that when she was a little girl.
"How did you?" She started.
"From what I know, you gave that gem before you sealed me away. It has been attached to my body over the years, and I have not removed it. It was the last thing I remember about you before I went to sleep." Jewel said.
Jenny looked at Jewel, feeling a bit sad for her. If what she said is true, then Jewel never got to know her family. She never got to know Mom, or her sisters, or her.
"Was that why you never left my side?" Jenny asked.
"Yes, I woke up when you were still gone. I heard stories, but this is the first time I met you. I wanted to know you beyond the stories. I wanted to know my family." Jewel said, sadly.
Nora could tell she was not faking that. She's seen that sad look on XJ-9 many times. As hard as it was to believe that she was a model she scraped, Nora knew she had no right to treat her any differently.
"Alright, XJ-10. I might not believe this whole time-travel thing, but it's clear that you're one of my robots. However, I still need to look inside you and..." Nora said.
"No."
"What?"
"No. If you thinking about making copies of me or removing what you should place when you make me, I can't let you. I know I'm risking a lot by telling you what I know, but I can't let you do anything to me. I'm sorry, Mom, but I can't let that happen." Jewel said, moving back a bit.
Nora was surprised. She didn't want her to look into her?
"Mom, I think we better respect her wishes. I know it seems fishy, but if she's right, then we need to trust her." Jenny said.
Jenny was having a bit of trouble believing this too, but when she activated her coms, Jenny picked up the same code she uses. No one could figure that out so quickly. If she really was her sister, then she needs to give her a chance.
And going to stop here. Well, Jewel was sent back in time before she was born. She got to meet her sister and even helped save the day. However, there's still more to come. Got have Jewel meet the rest of her sisters and get to know Jenny's friends. And meet a few of Jenny's enemies. As I said, still more to do.
One more thing, there are a few Mega Man like stories I'm thinking of trying with this show. One is a bit more like the Classic Mega Man series, where Dr. Locus uses Jenny's blueprints to make new robots to overpower Jenny since they know everything about her. When looking around, I came across a fanart drawing on Deviantart called XJ-10 alias Jayden. It was made by Zenox-furry-man, which was thought by twisted-wind. As I read about the character I was reminded of Bass from the Maga Man games. Different from my version, but a good drawing overall. Could easily see the rivalry between the two. And seeing Jayden betraying her creation after so many losses. But, I'll do that later.
