Okay, so I normally do not write crossovers but something about these prompts encouraged me too. This is my first entry for Flufftober for Day 10 'love of my life' and also Day 10 of whumptober which is 'Can't you see your lost without me?'. It's also for the alternate scenario which is 'Create a crossover of two or more series.' As for the ages, the DigiDestined are in their teens 18-19 while the Paladins are in their mid-20s to earlier/mid 30s for some of the older ones.

1. Return

"Allura, what is wrong with you? Can't you see your lost without me? That we were meant to be together?"

Lotor's voice radiated with fury, but Allura didn't move, staying firmly planted in front of her baby girl as she stood in the main lounge. She couldn't respond even though she knew the other Paladins were on the way. Things had been at peace for so many years ever since their alliance with the DigiDestined because they helped protect Earth and the parallel digital realities in addition to their own, but Lotor's return had caught her by surprise.

"We were never meant to be together," Allura gritted her teeth. "Keith is the love of my life, and he always will be." She knew this was dangerous. Having a fight here could hurt her child and she didn't want to leave her unattended to lure Lotor outside. She was just a baby, after all, reaching 5 months of age soon. She took a step back from Lotor.

Her heart raced – it wasn't that she was afraid of herself – she could survive, even if she got hurt but her child was a lot more vulnerable than her.

Lotor stepped closer to her, placing a hand to her cheek. "Why? He doesn't deserve you. He's never deserved you. You could have lived like a Queen if you had been with me. What is he? A mere commoner who can't offer you anything but his love. What does love do anyway?"

Allura pulled away from him slightly, but he grabbed her wrist.

"Don't pull away from me, princess," Lotor said softly. "I won't hurt you. But I also know you won't attack me with that little brat in the room. She's lucky, you know. My mother wouldn't have cared. You were the first person to care and even you betrayed me."

Allura tried to get her wrist free, taking another step back to make it clear but she scowled at his words. "I betrayed you? You betrayed me. You lied to me. You knew there were other Alteans, and you harmed so many of them for your personal gain. You used me for your own personal gain."

Lotor yanked her close again. "That's not true. I love you, Allura. I always have." He moved his lips closer to kiss her, but she kicked out at him, stumbling into the crib. She knew this was a risk – but there was no way she would let him touch or kiss her; she would have to find another way to protect her child from this monster. Fala would not be harmed but she knew Keith would be devastated if she was harmed too.

"Celestial Arrow!"

"Hand of Fate!"

Angemon and Angewomon's appearance stopped Lotor in his tracks as T.K. and Kari rushed forward.

"Your highness, are you alright?" Kari asked concerned and Allura nodded, mind whirling so fast that she didn't even tell Kari to call her Allura this time. Lotor had always been smart but the look she saw in his eyes then, there was no love there. This was not the Lotor she had known – he was a completely different person now. All she saw in his eyes was a desire – a lust that overtook everything else.

She picked up her daughter in her arms and held her close, the closeness making the shiver die down a little.

"Angemon, make sure he leaves the Castle of Lions," T.K. instructed his partner. Digimon. They were almost to the Digidestined like the lions were to the Paladins – the connection could not be explained by science alone. It was one that went beyond anything that they could understand.

Angemon and Angewomon were able to make Lotor retreat as he had come to confront her alone – somehow knowing Keith and the other Paladins were at Earth right now. However, he did not leave before glancing at her once, the way he looked her up and down, sending shivers down her very spine.

"This is not the end," Lotor said softly. "This is only the beginning. You may believe you no longer being untouched will make you undesirable in my eyes, Princess but you are even more delicious now."

Allura couldn't help it – she flinched even as he left pulling her daughter even closer. What had happened to him? He had always been a monster, but the look in his eyes was different – wilder as if she were some kind of challenge which he needed to overcome to prove something to the world.

But why?

While he had been cruel before, taking so many lives, he seemed to genuinely have some feelings for her, which was why he had lashed out the way he did – but she could not recognise this Lotor.

She jumped slightly as Kari wrapped an arm around her, leaning into the younger girl a small bit, also feeling Blue speak in her mind now. Good. It meant the Paladins were here because this was all too much to deal with. Lotor coming back, confronting her and the way she was acting so she needed a tic to process all of this.

"Was he an old enemy?" Kari asked softly.

Allura nodded. "He was but something was different." She paused as the Paladins rushed in, Keith hurrying to her side, but she shook her head. There were too many people, and she couldn't right now.

"I'm sorry, Keith, can you…" She held out her daughter to Keith who took her but pulled Allura into his arms as well.

"It's ok," Keith soothed in her ear, his voice calming. "You don't have to go anywhere from here. No matter how many people there are, I'll always be your shelter and hide you from the world."

Allura's eyes stung, and she had not realised she was trembling until Keith hugged her. She hid her face in his chest, the warmth comforting even if the look in Lotor's eyes kept flashing in her mind. The way he had gazed at her up and down made her want to crawl out of her skin.

"Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Keith asked softly.

Allura just hid her face further in his chest. "I don't know. I'm not injured."

"I won't let anyone hurt you," Keith promised her. "Ever again."

Because it was Keith, she knew he would do everything in his power to make sure Lotor never got that close again. Being his queen truly made life a blessing.
