Legends Ride Again:
S1: E2: The Oath by the Boiling Seas
Luz woke with a gasp, and she shot up.
"Hey, hey," the voice of Eda said, pressing her head against her surrogate daughter's shoulder. "Not too fast, kiddo. Don't want to lose your lunch."
The human witch looked around groggily and saw she was in a Healing House. She lay her head back on the pillow and stared at the ceiling.
Luz thought back to the moment and touched her waist. She couldn't feel that strange item but knew it was there.
"But… how did it get there?" she asked.
She felt a hand on her shoulder again and looked at Eda. The ex-wild witch was looking at her apprentice with deep concern.
"Luz, what's going on with you?" Eda seriously asked. "And don't try to dodge. Your friends told me what happened, but I want to hear your take on all of this."
Luz sighed, pushed herself up, and removed the blankets. She stared at her waist, picturing that strange belt, and to her shock, it appeared. Luz heard a gasp and looked at Eda. The witch's mouth was open as she looked at the item on her apprentice's waist.
"... I don't know what's happening to me, Eda," Luz said, voice barely above a whisper. "But I think this is something my dad left behind."
"Manny?" Eda asked, confused.
Luz chuckled a dry chuckle and willed the belt away.
"Turns out… Manny was just my step-papa," the human witch said hollowly.
Eda looked at her surrogate daughter and saw the conflict of emotions swirling in her eyes. The power witch sighed and put a hand on her student's shoulder. Luz looked at her mentor and smiled when Eda offered her one.
"It's been a day, kiddo," the witch said softly. "So take it easy. The healer said you would only be in here for another hour. After that, I'll fly you home. Then we can get some of your mom's grub. How does that sound?"
Luz nodded, liking that idea. She lay down in her bed, and Eda helped fix her covers. The witch smiled motherly at her daughter-in-all-but-blood and walked to the door.
"One more thing before I fly," Eda said, looking at Luz with a teasing smile. "Boots has been on the warpath since she and your groupies found you in the market. So, you might want to hide if she comes and sees you."
Luz made a noise as she blushed as Eda left, cackling her head off. After the former Owl Lady was gone, the human calmed down quickly and felt her waist.
"Watshi no okotte iru Koto, (What's happening to me)?" Luz asked, unknowingly speaking Japanese.

In some unknown location, the mysterious cloaked figure that attacked Bonesborough market paced aggressively. In the figure's hand was a small vial glowing with a strange liquid that didn't even fill ⅓ of the vial.
"What is this?" the figure screamed. "My Blooburn nearly drained that place dry before that strange witch appeared, so where isn't there more?"
The figure suddenly heard the sound of clicking heels and looked to his right just as two figures entered his line of sight.
"Well, Dear Captain Braddock, I must commend you for having the foresight to tether your blooburn so you could collect its spoils," a female voice said, mocking the captain.
Captain Braddock growled at the female and angrily pulled his hood down. The witch in question had a square jaw and a small nose. His red hair was short and showed early signs of graying.
Strangely, from the ears down to the tip of his chin, Captain Braddocks was covered in ash-gray markings.
"Lady Blightthorne," the captain said, disdain heavy in his voice. For what do I own the pressure?"
Lady Blighttorne stepped into the light, showing her Victirion-style purple dress with silver accents. She gave her aquamarine hair a quick toss as she walked over to the captain, her blue eyes staring condescendingly at the captain.
Like the captain, Lady Blightorne also has ash-gray markings. Hers, however, only covered a small area of her left cheek.
Next to the lady was a boy, maybe around 10 or 11 years of age. The boy was clean-shaven; he didn't even have any eyebrows. He was also barely dressed; he wore a pair of brow trousers, no shirt or footwear, but he wore a dirty cloak.
Unlike the other two, the boy only had a single ash-gray marking, running down the center of his head and ending at his brow.
Strangely, the boy appeared feral; he was walking on all fours and made the occasional growling noises.
"I am merely seeing how your foray into this new world went," the lady replied, eyeing the vial in the captain's hand. "From the looks of your spoils, not well."
The captain growled under his breath and downed the content. He moaned as his markings pulsed and then thinned out ever so slightly.
"It's not my fault that these witches are weaker than when we walked the Isles," Captain Baddrock spat and pulled off his cloak. "This amount wouldn't even be enough to treat this small cut on my leg."
With his cloak gone, the captain's outfit was open for all to see. He wore a pair of brown trousers with a blood stain running down his right thigh to his ankle. He also had a gray tunic with sleeves that went down to his wrists, and on each wrist were leather armbands.
Lady Blightthorne looked at the stain and looked at the captain. "Do not plan to take from our stock," she spoke commandingly. "We don't have enough to waste on such a small wound."
The captain scoffed as he crossed his arms. The male witch walked up to the lady, showing that the female witch was taller by seven inches.
"Like I dare go against your command, my lady," the witch said, saying "my lady" with great mockery. "But I suppose your walks in this new world bore more fruit than I?"
The lady gave the captain a condescending smile and took a step back. She made a spell circle, and a severed hand came from it. Blightthorne caught it and showed the coven sigil to the captain.
"Was there ever a doubt?" she asked condescendingly. "I always ensure my work is carried out flawlessly. Now, look at that mark on the hand. What do you think it is?"
The captain growled but studied the mark. It was an orange egg with a beast newly hatched from it. He scoffed at the item and looked at the witch holding it.
"Just some silly picture," he stated.
Lady Blighttorne shook her head and tossed the hand to the floor. The boy quickly jumped onto the appendage and began to eat it. The two older witches ignore this and continue on with their conversation.
"It's so much more than that, Dear captain," the lady retorted conceitedly. "But to understand that marking purpose, you must understand what had transpired since our sealing."
Captain Baddrock nearly screamed but kept himself in control out of respect for the chain of command. Lady Blighttorne saw this and threw another condescending smile the captain's way.
"In the two thousand years since our sealing, witches had progressed to the point where they don't need to use the signs of power. All their power now comes from a fully mature bile sac," the lady witch explained.
Captain Baddrock frowned as he thought over this revelation. If what Lady Blighttorne said was true, then the witches of this era should be rich in magic. But that wasn't the case, and he wondered why.
The captain looked at the lady, and Blighttorne took that as her cue to continue.
"The way it was explained by the witch who gracefully gave me their hand," the female witch said ironically, "Sigil magic works by converting all types of magic into one. However, my research led me to learn something more disturbing."
Lady Blighttorne walked up to the boy and kneeled. She rubbed the boy's chin as she stared at the coven sigil. The boy purred, blissfully unaware of his owner's true intention.
With a grunt, Lady Blighttorne stopped stretching, and the boy moaned as the older witch looked back at the captain.
"The truth of the markings are as such," the female witch spoke darkly. "These coven sigils chock the heart and bile sac in such a way that it forces the organ to release only one type of magic. But, even more impressive, is this "chocking" doesn't bodily affect a witch."
Captain Baddrock frowned as he looked at the severed hand. He had to commend whoever created this spell; they were clearly working toward a long-term goal. He might have praised the magic's creator under different circumstances,
"Where does this development leave us?" the captain asked calmly.
Lady Blighttorne gave the captain a sadistic smile and replied, "Oh, don't worry, I am in mits of piercing that puzzle together."
(The Next Day)
Amity was getting frustrated. No, the abomination witch was past that point and was ready to burst. It was the middle of the school day, and she spent the morning looking for Luz. But to the witch's frustration, her girlfriend was dogging her at every corner.
Amity couldn't even take comfort when she learned that Luz was also avoiding the others.
Thankfully, it was lunchtime, and Amity could finally corner her girlfriend at the cafeteria.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN LUZ ISN'T HERE!" Amity screamed.
Everyone in the cafeteria looked at the enraged witch, but Amity didn't care. All that mattered was Luz had ditched them again. The young witch was nearly at her breaking point, and it would only take one slip for Amity to burst.
"Amity," Hunter said calmly, "Please calm down. You don't want to cause a scene like last month, do you?"
Amity gave the grimwalker a side glare, and Hunter returned the favor. She sighed after a second as Hunter was right; she didn't need to cause another scene like before. So, with a sign, she grabbed her tray and made her way to the exit.
"Where are you going?" Willow asked curiously.
Amity just signed and replied, "I think I know where Luz is this time."
She then disposed of her lunch and left the cafeteria without another word. She quickly made her way down the hall and out of the building. She looked at the tower of Hexside and took another second to calm herself.
Amity summoned Ghost in staff form and lifted herself up to the tower. Sure enough, just as Amity figured, her girlfriend was there, absentmindedly munching on a sandwich. Better yet, she wasn't facing Amity.
"Luz Noceda!" Amity proclaimed, stepping onto the tower. "We need to talk!"
Startled, Luz let out a surprised yelp and dropped her sandwich. Thankfully, before the food item could splat against the ground, String Bean caught it and brought it back to Luz. The human smiled as she took the sandwich and lovingly scratched the palisman under the chin.
"Thanks, you little power noddle," she said quietly and looked at Amity sheepishly. "Hey, Amity, what's up?"
Amity answered her girlfriend with a glare as she walked up to her. She sat on the edge and stared deeply into her girlfriend's eyes. Luz, for her part, felt more sheepish than she did a second before.
"Why are you avoiding me?" Amity asked bluntly after a minute of tense silence.
"Avoiding you," Luz repeated, laughing nervously. "Why would I be avoiding you? Nope, no avoiding going on here."
"Luz," Amity said gently, expression softly as she took her girlfriend's hand. "Please, talk to me."
Luz signed and grabbed Amity's hand, staring lovingly into her eyes.
"I-" Luz began, only to stop and jump to her feet.
Amity watched as her girlfriend looked to the front of the school. She also looked at the front of the school and frowned as she saw nothing.
"Luz, is everything okay?" Amity asked in concern.
The human didn't answer right away. She just kept staring out the horizon.
"I-I don't know," Luz finally replied, uncertain herself. "But I felt like this before… when that monster was at the market."
Amity's concern grew, and she was about to say something when they heard a scream. Both ran to the edge overlooking the front of the school. They looked down in time to see students fleeing the school as something gave chase.
They watched as a plant tripped, and a gray blur was instantly on her. Amity and Luz heard the witch's screams as the creature spirited her away at blinding speeds.
Luz growled as she watched the witch being taken, and couldn't stand by any longer. She took a few steps back and brought her hands to her waist. Her belt appeared, and she then went through her hand movements.
"Henshin!" Luz screamed and ran to the edge.
Amity could only watch in shock as her girlfriend somersaulted off the tower as her form changed. She ran to the edge and watched as Luz landed harmlessly on the ground.
Amity tried to make a spell circle but stopped when she got a strange feeling in the back of her head. She looked to the school entrance and couldn't help but feel like someone was out there watching her.
She tried to shake this feeling off, remembering she had a girlfriend who could use help and began a spell circle.
(A few minutes earlier)
"I see in this new era, even the common folk are allowed in establishments like this one," Lady Blight mused, "But it works highly in my favor."
The mysterious witch stared at Hexside for a few more seconds before she began her work. She drew a blood-red spell circle with her group's symbol in it as she took a blood tendril from under her dress's skirt.
She tossed the tendril into the circle, and it pulsed. A Blooburn jumped out of the circle a second later, turned to face its master, and kneeled.
Unlike the Blooburn the Captain summoned, this one was lean and was barely five feet tall. It still has the same gray exoskin on its arms and legs, black body, red gem, and blood-red veins, but it has the head of a cheetah.
"Cheetah Blooburn," Lady Blighttorne commanded in a regal tone. "Out of my creations, your sense of smell is the greatest. I want you to go into that building and seek out strong witches. But bring them to me."
The Blooburn nodded and stood up. It turned to the school and took off running, moving at such speeds it was nearly a blur to the naked eye.
It took the Cheetah-like creature just two minutes to gather a few promising witches, but things soon turned rocky. The witches in the school learned about the Blooburn and tried to flee. But the creature was too fast to avoid capture.
Lady Blighthorne smiled as she counted how many her Blooburn brought her. She counted eight in total. She figured two, maybe four more witches would do. That way, she would have an even number for her experiments.
She turned back to continue to watch and frowned when she saw a red and black figure come from the school.
"That must be the mysterious witch that left our dear captain in such a tizzy," she said. "Let's see what Baddrock was so worried about."
The mysterious witch suddenly looked towards the school's tower, a strange feeling overtaking her. She knew this feeling all too well. But she was confused; she shouldn't be getting this feeling, not when the only person who could triggered it was long dead.
So she ignored this feeling and turned her attention back to her creature and the mysterious witch.

Luz didn't even feel the impact of her landing as she stood up and looked around. She saw the blur moving toward two students and hurried after it. She jumped just as the creature reached the students, delivering a punch straight into the creature's head.
The Cheetah Blooburn was knocked away from the two students, and Luz got between it and the students.
"Run!" Luz said, looking at the students, "And don't look back."
The students didn't need to be told twice; they scrambled to their feet and took off running. Luz looked back at the creature and took a fighting stance as she readied herself for the fight.
The Cheetah Blooburn recovered from its daze and growled as it looked at Luz. It brought its arm out in front of it and positioned it in a way that reminded Luz of a cat ready to pounce.
The Cheetah Blooburn made the first move, dashing straight toward the transformed human. Luz threw a punch, but the creature darted to the right, causing Luz to stumble a little.
Before Luz could regain her balance, the Cheeta Blooburn came in from the right and struck her as it ran by, sparks flying off of Luz's armor. The human witch stumbled backward a bit but didn't get a chance to recover; the Blooburn came up behind her and hit her again, causing more sparks to fly.
Luz groaned as she fell to her right knee. She heard a noise and looked to her right; she gasped when she saw the creature coming at her and rolled forward.
She jumped to her feet as the Cheeta-like creature ran by her and pulled a hard right. The creature aimed itself at Luz and charged. The transformed human held her ground and jumped when the creature was close.
Luz kicked it in the head as she sailed over it. The cheetah-like creature stumbled slightly as Luz came down and spun around on her right heel. She delivered a kick to the Blooburn's back, further unbalancing it, and then tried to kick its feet out from under it.
The Cheetah Blooburns recovered quickly and dove forward. It hit the ground, rolled, and got back to its feet. It then sped off in a random direction before Luz could act.
The transformed human straightened up and got back into her fighting stance. She looked around to see where the creature would come from. The Cheetah Blooburn came running in from the left, and Luz wasn't fast enough. Sparkles flew as it stuck her and dashed off.
The creature came from the right and hit Luz again. It then hit Luz in the back and then the front.
Luz stumbled a bit and then fell to her right knee. The blooburn attacks had quickly worn her down, and she was fighting to keep herself transformed as the creature rushed at her from the front.
Suddenly, the Cheetah blooburn stopped a mere inch from Luz. Startled, the transformed human threw a punch, connecting with the jewel in the creature's chest, sparks flying.
The cheetah-like creature let out a blood-curdling scream as its veins pulsed. Luz tried to cover her ears as she watched the creature tear its feet free from the abomination goo that trapped it.
The creature ran away, and the human noticed it was moving slower. Luz lost the last of her strength and changed back to normal. The human witch tried to stand but didn't have the strength, and she was fading.
The last thing she saw before blacking out was her friends rushing towards her.

"So you're the man they call Kuuga. Huh, thought you would be taller."
Luz woke with a jolt and wheezed when pain shot through her entire body. She felt a hand pressed against her shoulder and forced back onto her bed.
"Take it easy, Luz," Eda said gently. "You're home."
Luz slowly turned her head and looked into the concerned eyes of her mentor/ mother figure. She couldn't help but look away in shame as she asked something.
"Is everyone at school okay?"
Eda was silent, and Luz dared a look. The human could see the swirl of emotions in the witch's eyes, and that caused her heart to arch.
"Yeah…those that at are still around," Eda said somberly, then sighed. "Listen, kiddo, we need to have a talk."
Luz looked away, having a good idea what Eda wanted to talk about. The ex-wild witch just sighed and began talking.
"Kid, you don't need to look at me when I'm talking. So I'm just going to come out and say it. What's happening to you, Luz? This isn't your normal kind of weird, but you're still jumping in head first. I-I'm scared if you keep going, it's going to happen again. So, please, Kiddo let me help."
Luz sighed and looked at her mentor. She got up and out of bed, and Eda was a little surprised when she saw the mess of emotions in her surrogate daughter's eyes.
"Eda, how can anyone help me when I don't know what's wrong with me," Luz said quietly and then grew determined. "But I know I don't want to go through that again, not when I have this power."
Eda stared at her surrogate daughter for a second and then sighed. She rubbed the back of her head and decided, with her peace said, that it was time to bring in the big guns.
"Kid," Eda said exhaustedly, "I said my peace. But know, who's about to come after me would be so much worse."
Luz was confused as Eda left her room, and a few seconds later, a very angry Amity stumped into the room.
Luz couldn't help but laugh sheepishly as she gave her a weak wave. She opened her mouth to say something, but Amity cut her off.
"What's happening to you?" An angry but still concerned Amity asked.
Luz sighed and took a seat on her bed. Amity walked over to her and glared down at her. The human began to fidget as she tried to find a good reason, one better than she gave her surrogate mother.
In the end, she came up with nothing and sighed.
"It's like I told Eda," Luz said quietly, looking Amity in the eyes. "I don't know what's happening to me, but I'm not going to stop."
"WHY!" Amity screamed in frustration, grabbing Luz by the shoulders.
Shocked, Luz stared into her girlfriend's eyes and saw the same swirl of emotions that were in Eda's eyes. She tried to say something, but her mouth refused to work right.
Amity took her girlfriend's silence as her cue to continue.
"Haven't you done enough? You fought Belos for us! Died because of him, for of us! So, tell me, Luz, when will you realize you don't have to fight every battle that comes your way."
"BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO FEEL LIKE THAT AGAIN!" Luz screamed, jumped to her feet, and nearly knocked Amity over.
The abomination was shocked by the sudden outburst. But Amity's shock quickly gave away when Luz began to shake, and she hugged herself. The witch realized her girlfriend was close to a panic attack and knew she needed to act fast.
"Luz…" Amity muttered and got beside her girlfriend.
She wrapped her human in a hug and eased back onto her bed. Amity noticed Luz's breathing was becoming erratic, and her eyes were dilating. She hugged her just a little tighter, telling Luz that she wasn't alone.
"Luz, Luz," she said quietly but firmly. "I'm here. Eda's here. Our friends are here. You're not alone, so breathe."
Luz forced herself to listen to her girlfriend's voice and shakily nodded. She closed her eyes and took several deep breaths. The human did this for nearly a minute until her breathing leveled out and her shaking slowed.
Another minute passed, and Luz opened her eyes. She looked at her girlfriend with an empty smile, and Amity returned the gesture with a weak smile.
"I broke it," Luz mumbled shamefully, causing Amity to frown. "The promise we made here, by the seas, after Belos was gone. We said we wouldn't keep secrets, and I broke it right away."
Amity was confused; she remembered the promise the Owl House residents and the Hexside students made after they beat Belos. She failed to see what this promise had to do with anything.
Luz saw this and explained. "I began having nightmares a couple of days after we beat Belos. I didn't tell anymore, not even Mami. She found out when I began losing sleep and had me talk to someone about it. The nightmares slowly went, but not what I felt then."
The human sighed and leaned back. She stared up at her ceiling for a minute, and Amity waited.
"When I saw a girl I knew from my potion classes, now just a husk, it brought back a lot of bad memories," Luz said, looking at her girlfriend pleadingly. "Amity, I just want to protect everyone's smile. Is that so wrong?"
Amity opened her mouth and closed it. She tried to figure out the best way to approach this but couldn't, not that she would get the chance. Luz suddenly jumped to her feet and looked out the window.
"It's back," the human muttered, bolting for her door.
She threw open the door and found Eda blocking her way.
"Like I said to your friends," the ex-wild witch stated, "I know how useless it is to talk you out of things. But how to plan to fight that thing?"
Luz frowned as she chewed her mentor's words.
"Actually," Amity piped in, causing Luz and Eda to look at her. "I might have an idea."
(SC)
"The prototype you broke yesterday," Amity explained, causing Luz to chuckle sheepishly, "was actually the test model I was planning on scrabbing soon. I was only riding it for numbers."
Luz, Amity, their friends, and Eda were in one of the Labs in Blight Manor, where Amity planned to put her plan into motion. The idea in question was a bike much like the one she rode the other day.
"This, however," Amity said, gesturing to the machine, "Is the finished product."
Luz frowned as she looked at her girlfriend's invention. "I don't know, Amity," she said uncertainly. "I don't know how to ride something like this."
Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter gave their human friend a funny look, and Luz couldn't help but feel awkward under their glances.
"Luz," Gus said awkwardly, "We saw you ride Amity's bike like you have been doing it for years."
Luz looked at Gus like had had grown a second head. Before anyone could say anything else, Hunter stepped in.
"Luz, if you're serious about fighting these things, you need to go. Someone posted that the creature was seen heading towards the market."
Luz nodded and brought her hands to her waist, summoning her belt, the Arcle. Luz's friends and mentor took a few steps back as the human went through her hand movements.
"Henshin!" Luz screamed and thrust her hands to her side.
In seconds, Luz's form changed into the red and black figure again, stunning everyone.
"Whoa," Was all Eda could think of saying as she watched Luz walk over to Amity's bike.
Luz hopped onto the bike and saw another vision. In it, she saw how her father controlled one of his machines and decided to follow the vision, placing her hand on the handles.
She looked at Amity and nodded. The witch returned the gesture and opened the hanger door with a spell. She rived the handle and rocketed out the door without a moment to spare.
Eda and the students watched as Luz sped down the hall and turned left at the corner without slowing down.
"Again, whoa," Eda repeated, still a little awestruck.

The Cheetah Blooburn, having recovered from earlier, resumed its mission. The creature soon learns that the witches were keeping their young hidden. So, after a quick update from its master, the Blooburn was now going after anyone without a sigil.
This has been difficult; most witches it found had sigils. The creature was getting frustrated because it couldn't make progress. It finally reached its breaking point and randomly attacked people, unaware of the reporter hiding behind in a stall.
"This is Perry Porter, Live from the Bonesborough's market, where the creature that attacked Hexside two hours earlier has returned." the male witch spoke softly and then looked at the monster, his bat camera facing the creature. "But the question remains… what is this creature? Where did this creature even come from? And…What's that noise?!"
The Blooburn also heard the sound of a roaring engine and turned around just in time for Luz to zoom into the area and hit the creature head-on. Cheetah Blooburn went flying through the air and crashed into a stall, crushing the stall's table.
"Hold your ears, folks," Perry exclaimed. "The second creature from Hexside has also returned. And this humble reporter could only wonder what will happen next."
The creature stumbled its way back to its feet and glared at Luz. The transformed human sat on her bike, leg holding the machine up as she waited for the Blooburn to make the first move.
The Cheetah Blooburn turned its heel and ran down the street, though it was moving slower than before. Luz rived her machine and gave chase. The transformed human quickly closed the gap and tried to ram the creature again.
The Cheetah Blooburn suddenly took a hard right, barely voiding another collision, and went down another street. Luz slowed down a little, jabbing her left foot into the ground, making a sharp turn, and went down the same road.
Suddenly, the cheetah-like creature burst out of a stall and tried to hit Luz. The human was slightly faster and caught the creature with a palm thrust to the chest. The creature recoiled from the blow and fell to the ground as Luz did a donut. The back wheel struck the creature in the chest, sparks flying as it went through a wall.
Luz stopped, put down the bike's kickstand, and dismounted. She got into a fighting stance as the blooburn emerged from the wall. It let out an angry roar and charged at Luz.
The transformed human saw that her foe wasn't moving as fast as before and could follow it more easily. She blocked a blow aimed at her gut and countered with a punch to the creature's chest.
The Cheeta-like stumbled away from the human, grunted, and tried to run to its right. Luz didn't allow it to escape, jumping into the air and delivering an ax kick to the creature's shoulder. The blooburn fell to the ground, groaning as its blood veins began to glow.
Luz took a few steps back and went through her "finishing move" hand movements, and the stone on her left anklet shined. She ran at the blooburn, her feet glowing with fire as she jumped. She flipped in the air and thrust out her left foot, kicking the creature in the chest as it stood up.
The cheetah Blooburn went back through the hole it emerged from, where it exploded a second later. Luz exhaled a breath and moved to her bike.
"Wait!" Perry called, running up to the transformed human. "Please, inquiring minds like to know, who are you?"
Luz couldn't help but smile under her helmet as she said, "You know me, Mister Porter."
Perry blinked as it took a second for him to recognize that voice.
"Wait…Luz?" he squeaked.
Luz continued to smile under her helmet and nodded. She hopped on her bike, started it, and was about to leave.
"Just a minute, Luz," Perry said. "What do we call you when you're like this?"
Luz frowned as she thought that over. For some reason, the name she heard in her dream stuck in her head.
"When I'm like this, I'm Kuuga," Luz answered brightly.
She then took off before more questions could be asked. Perry watched as she sped off and then looked at his camera.
"You heard it here, folks. Once again, the local human of the Boiling Isles had emerged as a hero in these uncertain times, with magic unseen by witchkind. So, thank you again, Luz Noceda…Human Witch Kuuga!"
(From the research notes of Flora D'spora)
If my life wasn't at risk, I would be completely astounded by all I'm learning. What I first believed to be a moral telling of the history of this Isle was only partially true. As I learned more, I have come to find out that this Isle was the site of a massive battle between two factions of witches some two thousand years ago.
If I recall right, which I always do, this was around the time known as the age of remerging magic. It was during this period where witches and demons began to gain the ability to do magic naturally.
I am intrigued to learn more about the conflict as I dove deeper into this Isle's history.
(G Corner)
I should have made this clear from the start, but this story acts as a fan squeal to both The Owl House and Kamen Rider Kuuga and Agito. So, by this point, the Gurongi and the Lords are long gone, but the Gurongi will play a part later down the line.
