New Friend

Aside from that woman and her boyfriend whom they met not too long ago, Mihiru has made a new friend for once in her life.

Also, the little girl, Miku, has made a new friend for once in her life, too. Mostly outside of Tokyo. As a result, both girls became happy. Also, their adoptive parents were all happy for their daughters as well.

"So, how long have you been with your parents, Miku?" Mihiru asked her new friend. "A few months now," Miku answered. At first, she was still shy, still adjusting to life outside of Tokyo. "But I've gotten used to life here," Miku added, building up courage, "My new parents have taken good care of me."

"Almost a year for my parents for me," Mihiru answered, "And it is amazing; they've taken great care of me and helped with me with understanding life." "Great," Miku said in response, "Same with my new parents. But still, sometimes." "I understand," Mihiru said with sympathy.

Nearby, Mihiru's adoptive parents, Ibara and Haruto Kurosawa, were still watching. As well as Miku's new parents. "All right," Ibara said happily, "Good for you, Mihiru and I'm glad that Miku is doing all right now." "So, Miku?" Haruto asked, curious.

"I've told you," Ibara said, "Me and my friends rescued Miku from Tokyo. Second rescue, and unfortunately, the same can't be said for her parents." "Oh, I know," Haruto said, "I was just making fun of you."

"You big meanie!" Ibara said teasingly, "I ought to hit you!" "That won't work," Haruto said, "I'll survive. Now let's stop acting like children and watch our daughter having a good time."

"And who's say I'm acting like a child?" Ibara asked undignified.

But then, they saw Miku's new parents and became embarrassed. "You're right," Ibara said nervously, "Sorry, mister and misses. We'll behave more like adults."

And they did so and immediately, they also had a chat with Miku's adoptive parents. While Miku and Mihiru continued to have their conversation. "Well, this is interesting," Ibara said. "You can say that again," Haruto said. Even though Miku was aware of what Ibara and Haruto are, Miku's new parents aren't.

And by now, Miku became a happy little girl. "Thanks," Mihiru said. "Maybe we should get together some more," Miku suggested the obvious. "Yes," Mihiru said. And they had shared each other's home information, especially where they are currently living. But not too much details on that.

"There," Mihiru said exchanging papers, "Now we are best friend." By now, Mihiru had already made a new friend, and she'd felt happy. "Hey," said Miku. "Yes?" Mihiru asked.
