The two transport trucks pulled up in front of the entrance of the Monarch outpost. Jack and his surviving squad members quickly dismounted from the back of the truck, leaped down from the each side of the vehicle. Their guns directed toward the the jungle where the Death Jackals had gone. Readying themselves for if they were to come. Leaping down from the back. Mattias directed several of the marines to the control panel of the gates.
"Close the gate, hurry!" Mattias proclaimed to them.
Two Marines quickly rushed over to the controls, where they pressed one on the buttons of the control panel. The sound of the outposts alarms went off as the gates slowly slid open. Mattias came up to the driver's side of the Lead truck, gesturing with his hand to Dr. Hejima to drive forward. Hejima nodded his head as he drove forward along with the other truck. Jack and the other squad members slowly backed up toward the open entrance, keeping theirs sights pealed for any nearby dangers.
The Trucks came to a stop inside the Outpost just as the gate began to shut. Jack and the other Squad members quickly turned before they ran inside as the gate shut behind them. Inside the rest of the squad fanned out as they searched the perimeter for any creatures that could be inside.
"Clear!" Called one of the marines.
Kristoff and Anna climbed down from the side of the truck. When suddenly, they heard Godzilla's roar once more. Even from far way, it sounded as loud as if he was nearby. The other paused, peering off in the directions it came. There then came another quaking feeling from underfoot. Shifting their attention down at the ground, where they noticed several small gravel pattering. Before suddenly coming to settle the moment that followed.
"What is going on?" Jack asked, glancing back at Hejima.
"Is it...?" Anna asked.
Hejima shook his head.
"No... no this is... this is different." Hejima proclaimed to them.
"Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good. And I think Godzilla feels the same." Mattias insisted to him.
"We need to find Dr. Marien and fast. We should probably have a look around the outpost."
"Wait, what about Elsa? She could be in danger!" Anna insisted to them.
Jack nodded his head in agreement.
"Yeah, my Fiancé is still out there!" Jack insisted to her.
"I'm sorry but we can't worry about that now! This island is overrun with monsters and we don't poses the means of defending ourselves." Mattias insisted to them.
"Nor a safer way to get around this place. Everyone fan out and outpost. Maybe we can find something that could help us."
Hejima turned back to them.
"Come on. We should have a look inside the Outpost." Hajima proclaimed to them.
Hejima entered the passcode into the panel of the main door. Upon flashing the green, the main doors came open as each one slide off to each side. The five then came inside the building, into the narrow hallway. It was dark for the most part. Normally the lights would come on upon anyone entering inside. The power generator must be off.
Jack and Mattias holding up their riffles as they inspected the inside.
"Hello?" Jack called.
"Dr. Marien?" Hejima asked.
But there was no response. Not from Dr. Marien or any creatures that could have wandered inside. Mattias glanced back at Anna, Kristoff and Hejima.
"Everyone stay close." He said.
The five made their way down the hallway. Glancing into each of the doorway they passed, only to find the rooms were completely empty. Peering inside one of the open doorways, Jack saw what looked to be a bedroom. Probably meant to house the scientists that were staying there. Though it looked as through no one had slept in it for months.
Jack lowered his rifle as he followed the others. They then came into what appeared to be a control room. Probably where Monarchs operations on the island had taken place. Though like most of the outpost, it looked as if no one had been here in recent time.
"It doesn't look like anyone's here." Anna insisted.
Jack walked over to the round table with a screen surface. No doubt used by Monarch as a map of the island. Monarch always seemed to to have the most advanced technology. He pressed a button over the control panel. Nothing happened.
"Nothing." Jack said, glancing back at Hejima.
"Power must be out. Or at least most of it is anyway." Hejima said.
It was right at that moment they felt the earth quaking once more. Causing them to quickly brace themselves.
"Another one!" Jack exclaimed, holding onto the table.
"Everyone get down!" Mattias said.
The sudden quaking had then came to settle the moment that followed. Glancing back to the window above, they saw some of the birds taking flight from the nearby hills.
"What i going on?" Kristoff asked, curiously.
Hejima squinted his eyes. He then walked over to a doorway at the other end of the room. Pressing the screen panel which caused the door to open.
Inside were several large mainframes from off to each side. At the other end of the room appeared to be a power station of some kind. Hejima walked over to the control panel, where he switched on several of the levers. It was at that very moment the lights in the base came on. Along with the computer monitors which showed the monarch logo along with the other devices. The table screen came on, where it revealed a holograph three dimensional map of the entire island itself.
Jack came up to the table, looking over the map.
"That did it." Jack said.
Anna, Kristoff and Mettias each gathered around the table, where they looked over the hologram map.
"Wow! This is soooo cool." Anna said in awe.
Kristoff turned back to Hejima, who came up to the table.
"How do you guys...?" He said, pointing down at the 3-D map projection.
"Monarch had a satellite launched into orbit to monitor the island. It manages to keep record everything that happens." Hejima proclaimed to them.
"We use it to keep track of Godzilla and the titans and everything that goes on on the island."
A sudden blue light flickered over the holographic map of the island. Reaching down his hands, Hajima enhanced the projection of the island itself over the indication. Upon doing so, they noticed a hologram of Godzilla trudging through the islands jungle. Jack expression turned stern at the sight of the King of the Monsters.
"Speak of the devil." Jack said, angerly.
Anna leaned forward as she gazed down at the hologram of Godzilla.
"Wow, Godzilla looks so small. That means Elsa must be even smaller." Anna said, glancing to Kristoff.
"I can hardly see her."
Placing his hun behind his back, Mattias leaned over the screen table as he observed Godzilla's movements.
"Looks like he's heading east in land." He said, glancing to Hejima.
Hejima squinted his eyes down at Godzilla, stroking his chin with his hand, curiously. After several years of hibernation after the Titan war that had upset the balance, Godzilla had only now awaken. Appearing even more agitated since the war itself. Even now, on the island where he had often appeared quite dossal most of the time. He was only ever agitated if any of the other titans on the islands. Though none of the other titans on the island appeared to be causing trouble.
"Doesn't make sense. There doesn't appear to be any unusual activity from any other titans." Hejima said.
"Why is he so agitated?"
There was a sudden beeping sound from the panel which would normally indicate a disturbance. Hejima looked down at the control panel, where saw one of the buttons blinking. He reached down and pressed the blinking button. The holographic projection zoomed out from Godzilla, where he came to reveal what appeared to be a familiar large meteor pulsing red light. The group suddenly paused in shock and awe.
"What the hell? Another one?!" Jack exclaimed, lifting his gaze to the others.
"You got to be kidding me?" Mattias said.
"How is that possible?" Anna asked.
Hejima shook his head.
"I don't know. But by the looks of it, this one appears to be more unstable then the one in Los Angeles." Hekima proclaimed to them.
"What does that mean?" Kristoff asked, curiously.
The meteor over the holographic projection looked as though it was beginning to pulse brighter. The group once more felt another sudden quaking from underfoot. This one lasted much longer then the others before coming to settle once more.
"If I had to guess, I would say this one is getting ready to hatch." The Professor insisted to them.
Jack, Kristoff and Anna looked across the projection table at each other. Both staring out of shock and concern for Elsa. Whatever was inside that meteor, it had Godzilla agitated. And Elsa who would no doubt be caught in the cross fire. They had to get to her before it was too late.
"Oh, God...!" Jack exclaimed before turning back to the doorway of the hallway.
"Jack, where are you going?!" Mattias said.
"We need to get Elsa out of there... Now!" Jack exclaimed to them.
Mattias came around the table as he approached Jack.
"Get a hold of yourself, soldier! You can't go back out there!" Mattias exclaimed to them.
"Well I can't just stand here and do nothing here!" Jack insisted to her.
"How do you expect to reach her? We have no means of getting to her with all the things on this island." Mattias said to him.
Hejima stepped forward.
"Wait... there might be a way." He said.
The group came into a large hanger that was attached to the outpost. Inside, they found what appeared to be three large hover-like crafts. Anna came up over the railings.
"Wow, what are these?" Anna asked, curiously.
"They are called HEAVS. We use them to get around the island." Hejima insisted to them.
"We recovered quite a few of them from APEX."
"APEX? Isn't that the Cybernetic company responsible for Hong Kong and the 2021 Godzilla attacks?" Mattias asked, curiously.
Hejima nodded his head to them.
"That's right. We confiscated most of their technology after the company went under from all the lawsuits." Hejima proclaimed to them.
"They managed to help us get close to the titans. With these, we might be able to get close to Godzilla."
Jack and Anna turned back to the HEAVS for a moment before turning back to him.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Anna asked, curiously.
Mattias reached up to the Radio over his shoulder.
"All Squad members converge on the hanger and prepare to move out!" He said.
The Engines of the HEAVS fired up as the hanger door came open. The Squad members quickly rushed into the back of the Hover crafts. From inside one of the Heaves, Jack, Anna, Kristoff and Mattias strapped in. After of which, Mattias took hold of the controls as the craft began taking off.
"Here we go." Jack said.
Lifting off the hanger floor, the HEAVS flew forward through the open hanger doorway.
