With Gilgamesh:
3rd Person POV:
As Gilgamesh and Crom Cruach gracefully arrived through the teleportation crest, neither man took their eyes off the other as they floated in the air, silence reigning in the atmosphere before it was broken as Gilgamesh chuckled and Crom Cruach smirked.
"Two hundred years and you still look like the same arrogant blonde dickhead I fought." Crom Cruach said and Gilgamesh smirked as he shrugged.
"Hey, I might look the same, but I've changed a lot. You, on the other hand, haven't changed a single bit."
"Meh, I know that I want to fight the strong and that won't change. So, you think this barrier is strong enough to actually keep up with our battle?" Crom Cruach asked Gilgamesh and he nodded as he looked around.
"It should. This dimension as well as the one Zeus is using was designed to be able to take the full release of our power. Hephaestus informed me that it's strong enough to take the full brunt of Zeus', Poseidon's, Amaterasu's & Odin's auras and just fracture a bit. That and the restoration runes he installed should help it not shatter around us."
"Ah, well. That's good, then." And with that said, Gilgamesh chuckled as a golden crest appeared in front of him before a gold axe shot out, blocking a vicious punch from Crom Cruach that made the air warp and the sky quake.
"All out from the start?" Gilgamesh asked him with an amused smile as a golden aura surrounded his form, Crom Cruach chucking as a gold-black aura coated his body before he spoke.
"Why not? I would rather enjoy this battle, but my employer would get mad at me if I took too long and let Rizevim die."
"Ah, I see. Well, at least we're on the same page, then." Gilgamesh said with a smirk, a golden crest appearing at his right and he reached into it before pulling his arm out as a golden glow covered his body.
As the glow died down, his upper body was revealed to be bare of armour as the red tattoos covering his upper body glowed with power. A golden necklace hung around his neck and grasped in his right hand was a black drill-like sword with a gold hilt and crimson runes written around the blade, Gilgamesh grasping the hilt with both of his hands before he twisted it.
The blade whirled as a rumbling sound came from the blade, the drill portion of the blade slowly twisting as it gained more and more speed until it was nearly a blur, sparks of red electricity coating the blade as Gilgamesh's aura intensified.
"Ea right off the bat? Not too bad." Crom Cruach said with a grin as black scales coated his arms & hands and Gilgamesh smirked as he nodded, both fighters silent as they stared at each other before they vanished.
Heaven and Earth shook as the aura-infused claws of a dragon met the violently spinning blade of a divine weapon, Gilgamesh & Crom Cruach grinning at each other before they both jumped back and leapt back into the battle.
A large amount of electricity condensed around the blade before Gilgamesh swung it at his neck, Crom Cruach ducking under the blow and blocking the low kick hidden behind the strike.
Grabbing his leg, Crom Cruach's left leg came up in a scorpion kick, Gil quickly raising a forearm and blocking the kick before he spun Ea in a reverse grip and held it above his head, Crom Cruach's right heel coming down onto his head with a deafening boom as it sent both of them crashing towards the ground.
Letting go of Ea, Crom Cruach's eyes widened as Gilgamesh grabbed his right leg with both hands before spinning through the air, the dragon growing dizzy before Gilgamesh roared as he tossed him at the ground at breakneck speeds.
Crom Cruach flipped through the air as he was careening towards the ground, landing with a crash on his feet before his eyes widened as he felt a dangerous aura flying down, looking up at a sea of golden portals floating above him before a horde of weaponry were sent blasting down.
Crom Cruach frowned before he stomped on the ground, taking a deep breath before he released a deep bellow and a sea of gold-black flames was sent blasting out of his maw as it roared towards the weapons. The sky was tinged gold and black as the flames crashed into the golden weaponry, the flames melting away the weaponry while the weapons were released in a non-stop bombardment and kept the flames at bay.
"Hahahahahaha!" Gilgamesh cackled as he crossed his arms, Ea floating besides him as he increased the amount of portals surrounding him and despite the strain of having to keep the weapons away becoming heavier, Crom Cruach couldn't help the ecstatic laughter that escaped his throat as gold-black flames covered his hand before twin pillars of flames shot out of his hands and combined with the one being blasted from his mouth.
"Come now! It appears you haven't changed a bit!" Gilgamesh exclaimed as his portals disappeared before they were replaced by a giant gold portal that appeared in front of him, Crom Cruach clicking his tongue and stopping his flames as it was just absorbed by the giant portal.
"Fine, then. Come down from there and we'll settle it like men!" Cruach shouted back, Gil shrugging as he floated down with Ea back in his grasp. Landing softly on the ground, he only had a moment to roll the stiffness from his shoulders before raising Ea at his side, a hook kick from Cruach helping him keep the blade at bay before he leapt as his other leg snapped out.
Gilgamesh grinned widely as he raised a forearm to block the attack only for the attack to be far stronger than he expected as he was sent skidding across the ground, Ea left in Cruach's clutches as he let it drop to the ground before kicking it back towards him.
"That's one to me." He said with a smirk as Gil caught the blade with ease, the commander chuckling as he lowered himself into a stance before he disappeared. In an instant, Crom Cruach flipped to the side as a giant lightning-infused hurricane carved through the space where he previously was, a massive crevice being gouged into the ground before the Evil Dragon crossed his arms in front of him to block a stomp from Gilgamesh.
The blonde hero just smirked and Crom Cruach's eyes widened as he saw the blade revving up, quickly trying to push away, but unfortunately he was too slow as Gilgamesh swung his sword.
The sky above them twisted and cracked as Ea crashed into Crom Cruach's guard, the dragon gritting his teeth as he felt the blade digging into his arms before he gasped as the force and lightning from the attack smashed him into the ground, Gilgamesh quickly leaping back as the Evil Dragon just stared up at the sky.
"Hehehe…you really have gotten stronger from our last fight." Gilgamesh said with a smirk as he felt his trembling arms, Crom Cruach pushing himself up with a groan before he chuckled.
"Speak for yourself. Last I remembered, you didn't need a weapon to keep up with me. What? You've gotten weaker?" Crom Cruach asked and Gilgamesh chuckled with a shrug as Ea floated next to him.
"You can say that I met someone that made me relearn everything I thought I knew about being human." He said with a smirk as he grasped Ea's hilt, smiling at the warmth and comfort coming from the blade as Crom Cruach stared at him before sighing as he stood up.
"Huh, I guess even the Creator can changed, huh?"
"You know how much I hate that name." Gilgamesh grumbled, Crom Cruach chuckling as he nodded.
"Ah right. You don't wish to be reminded of the fact that you were the one who created the blueprints and/ or ideas for every single weapon that exists in humanity's history."
"More like my students decided to create their own fake weapons, none of which even came close to the original." Gilgamesh said with a smile as he glanced at Ea before back at the dragon, who raised an eyebrow before he shrugged.
"If that's what you want to believe. So, what do you say we finish this fight?" Crom Cruach asked and Gil just grinned before he disappeared, a bright gold-crimson sun tinting the sky a dark orange as a monstrous aura erupted off of him that made the sky ripple and tremble.
"Fine with me! Let's get this started!" He roared, Crom Cruach grinning before he crouched down lowly on all fours, his canines extending to past his upper lip as his scales extended to cover the entirety of his body. Black horns sprouted from his skull as a pitch black aura covered his body. Crom Cruach stood back up to his full height, his eyes a bright gold as he stared up at the grinning Gilgamesh before his aura intensified and shook the earth below him.
"Enuma…" Gilgamesh began his chant as sparks of crimson lightning scorched the air around him, Ea's drilling speed increasing even more to the point that it appeared to be completely still as the Commander raised the blade above his head.
"Infernal…" Crom Cruach growled as black flames sprouted from the ground under him, the flames all pulsing with power before they all were sucked up and condensed on his right palm in a small orb.
"ELISH/ PARADE!" Gilgamesh and Crom Cruach roared in unison as they launched their attacks, the blade of Ea extending to pierce the sky above them as he brought it down whilst Crom Cruach aimed the flame orb at Gilgamesh before a gargantuan pillar of scorching black-gold flames exploded into existence and bellowed its way towards him.
"HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Gilgamesh and Crom Cruach roared as they tried to push their attack against the other, a giant crimson hurricane-blade coated in megavolts of lighting being blocked by a massive pillar of black-gold flames. Gilgamesh gritted his teeth as he pushed against the flames, not even flinching as a stray lightning bolt tore into the right side of his face and left a jagged scar.
With a thought, he was gone from his previous position, Crom Cruach's eyes widening at the lack of force pushing back against him as his flames shot past Gilgamesh' previous location and turned day into night as the black flames hid the sun from view.
"You lose." Gilgamesh muttered as he appeared behind in a low crouch behind Crom Cruach, the dragon barely able to turn around just in time before Ea stabbed into his stomach.
"I'm not going out alone!" Crom Cruach gasped out and Gilgamesh frowned at the foot coated in draconic aura coming at him from below. Choosing the best option, he stood his ground as he revved Ea, only gritting his teeth as his left leg was torn off before Crom Cruach gasped as Ea let off a devastating crimson blast that left a gaping hole in the middle of his chest.
"N-Not…bad…blondie." Crom Cruach wheezed out as he collapsed to his knees, Gilgamesh just chuckling as he fell backwards while blood flowed from the stump that was his left leg. The Commander could only stare as a silver teleportation crest appeared under Crom Cruach, the dying dragon giving him a final grin before he disappeared as Gilgamesh sighed.
"Great. The idiot escaped me again." Gilgamesh grumbled as he placed Ea against his wound, hissing slightly as the lightning from it scorched his wound shut before he sat back upright.
"Ah, time to get out of here." Gilgamesh grumbled as he pushed himself to his one leg, using Ea as a crutch as he slowly hopped his way towards the exit of the dimension.
A few moments earlier:
With Zeus:
"So, this is to be our battle field? The Fields of Elysium?" Kronos asked with a raised eyebrow as he and Zeus appeared from the teleportation crest, Zeus scoffing as a pure gold lightning bolt with a blue outline appeared in his grasp.
"I see your arrogance is as stifling as ever. This is a dimension created by my son that will let us fight to our heart's content. Did you truly believe we'd use the actual Field of Elysium for you? Your very presence would sully the fields for millennia to come."
"Oh, spare me your words, boy. You're as much of an arrogant bastard as I am. I'm not the only one with a dark past. The only difference between us two is that at least, I am proud of what I've done. Or have you forgotten about the countless men, women & children you've raped and slaughtered, my dear son?" Kronos asked with a dark grin, Zeus not answering as he glared at his father and the Titan just chuckled as he spun his scythe.
"As the humans like to say, 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.' Now, let's see if you will disappoint me with your combat skill as well." Kronos said before he blurred forward, storm clouds gathering above them as thunder boomed before hundreds of thousands of lightning bolts rained down.
The King of the Titans was not fazed at this attack as he grinned, the world around him fading to a black-white as the rain of lightning stopped just short of him before he spun and slash outwards with his scythe.
The sky warped as crescent blades made out of pitch black energy shot in all directions, time resuming once more as the lightning blades were evened out by the crescent blades and Zeus scoffed as he aimed the bolt in his grasp at Kronos.
Sparks of dense blue electricity condensed at its tip before a giant beam of plasma was shot towards the Titan King, the crescent blades of energy in its path being erased to oblivion.
"Not bad, boy." Kronos muttered as he spun his scythe above his head, the pitch black energy covering the blade before he brought it down. The plasma beam crashed into the pillar of black energy and the plasma beam turned the same black as the energy before it froze in place, Kronos grinning as he flipped onto the beam before rocketing towards Zeus.
Zeus just grinned back as he stopped firing his beam, the lightning bolt transforming into a shield made out of lightning before he spun and tossed the shield towards Kronos. Kronos scoffed as he parried the shield to the side before he frowned as it boomeranged through the air back towards Zeus, the chief god capturing it before spinning and throwing it once more.
"Repeating the same thing will not work, idiot!" Kronos shouted as he slashed at the shield and sent it crashing into the pillar below him before his frown deepened as the lightning shield turned back into energy before shooting towards Zeus, condensing around his fists.
As the energy disappeared, twin brass knuckles could be seen on Zeus' fists and Kronos frowned as his son skidded to a stop in front of him, a fist being swung at his jaw. Scoffing at the telegraphed blow, he stopped and flippe backwards from the blow before he gasped as Zeus appeared in a flash of blue below him, the god just grinning at him before he wheezed as a lightning-infused fist crashed into his chest and sent him blasting upwards.
Zeus grinned as he smashed the brass knuckles against each other before slamming his hands into the pillar of energy below him, bolts of blue lightning shooting in all directions before they all condensed in pathways that led to Kronos.
Crouching lowly, Zeus grinned before he leapt, Kronos reorienting himself just in time to see a bright azure blur leaping from lightning bolt to lightning bolt. Gripping his scythe tightly, Kronos spun rapidly in the air as a small energy tornado coated his form before giant crescent blades shot out in all directions, but Zeus just grinned as he dodged all of the energy blades, Kronos stopping as he let his scythe go and condensed the energy into his fist right as Zeus appeared face to face in front of him.
"Judgement/ Reckoning." Both Zeus and Kronos chanted respectively as they pulled their right fists back before swinging them forward as hard as they could.
Frozen time met lightning as the two energy-coated fists clashed, a screeching boom echoing throughout the dimension as the fists were not even given time to touch before the space in between their fists shattered. Both Kronos and Zeus grunted as they were sent blasting away from the clash, both flipping to their feet midair as Kronos spun his scythe and Zeus cracked his neck.
"Looks like the apple does not fall far from the tree, indeed. You needed your brothers to fight against me the last time we fought." Kronos said with a smirk and Zeus rolled his eyes as sparks of electricity rolled off of his body.
"A few hundred thousand millennia can change any being. It's unfortunate for you that you were stuck inside a cage for all that time. Who knows if you would have changed as well?"
"Do not get sentimental with me, boy." Kronos said with a roll of his eyes before he grinned as he unleashed the full brunt of his aura and Zeus raised an eyebrow as it was far denser and more than he expected, the aura hiding Kronos from view before it condensed into a cocoon around him.
'What is this?' Zeus thought with a frown as the cocoon cracked before shattering, revealing Kronos now in a completely different form.
He was nothing but bones, a tattered dark purple robe with gold and crimson accents befitting an emperor covering his body and a crimson orb glowing in the middle of his chest. His scythe had also transformed, having become some sort of twisted love-child of a battleaxe and a dual-sided scythe as its pole has become a dark purple, the blades a dark silver with gold lining at its base and a crimson orb at the top of it
"That's not your true form." Zeus said and a deep, rumbling chuckle came from Kronos as he spoke.
"Ah, you thought that the cage was enough to keep me incapacitated for all that time, but you underestimate me and overestimated your seals. It took me a while, but I regained full consciousness of my form a few millennia ago. Since I couldn't move in that cage, I did nothing but train and master the control over my domain even more and now, this is the result of that training."
"Huh, I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks."
"Keep speaking like that, boy. I'll let my actions speak for themselves." Kronos said with a smirk before his jaw clacked open, Zeus frowning as a deep purple mist began to flow out of his mouth and flew up to the sky, the sea of mist fusing with the clouds above them and completely hiding the sun from view.
"Ah, darkness, my old friend. Help me win my battles once more." Kronos sighed with a smirk before Zeus' eyes widened as he felt his body slow down completely, lightning flooding his body and coating it in a thick suit of plasma just in time as Kronos appeared in front of him and slammed his axe-scythe into his chest.
Zeus gasped in pain as the force of the blow travelled through the plasma and into his body, feeling his ribs crack and his organs tremble before he was sent crashing towards the ground.
"Harvest." Kronos chanted as he raised a hand up, Zeus quickly flipping to land on his feet and releasing a blast of plasma in all directions as vines sprouted from the ground and rushed towards him.
"Accelerate." Zeus' eyes widened as his point of view tripled in speed, his body forced to be still as he felt his muscles contract and relax faster than they should before he gritted his teeth as pain began to sear in his heart.
'Fine, then! 'No more holding back' as Theseus would say.' \"Ichor Desmos!" Zeus growled as spikes appeared on his knuckles before he smashed them into his chest.
"What?" Kronos frowned as a bright gold and blue aura hid Zeus from view, his vines being burned to a crisp before the glow disappeared and Kronos hummed at Zeus grinning up at him.
"Adamas." Zeus had transformed into a completely new person, his height having shot to nearly triple of what it previously was. He had become nothing but skin and bones, his muscles visibly pulsing as they had been stretched taut to their limits and his eyes had sunk deep into his eyesockets, being nothing but blue pinpricks in the middle of an abyss.
"Ichor Desmos?" Kronos wondered with a frown and he looked at his hands, gritting his teeth as he saw them trembling before stopping it as Zeus chuckled.
"Like it? It's something Hades came up with. It allows us Olympian Greek Gods to release the full brunt of our power at the cost of being limited to how long we can use it. What you faced before was nothing more than half of my full power, so let me show you how powerful us Greek Gods have become over the past years." Zeus said with a grin before he disappeared, Kronos releasing a sea of dark grey mist around him before his eyes widened as Zeus crashed right through it and appeared in front of him.
"Meteor Jab." Zeus growled as his fist crashed into his chest, Kronos gasping as a rib shattered before another jab smashed into his jaw, making him spin as another four jabs were smashed into his jaw and chest in rapid succession.
'Why! Can't! I! See! His! Fists?!' Kronos thought in shock as the fists crashed into him over and over, unable to even see a blur from the fists as his body was sent ragdolling through the sky while Zeus kept on punching.
"Wither!" Kronos roared and a sea of black mist shot out of his body, Zeus frowning as his skin began to erode before he scoffed as his muscles stretched even more, his skin beginning to tear open as he flipped through the mist and towards Kronos.
"Divine Axe." Zeus growled out as hurricane-level winds covered his leg before he sent it snapping out at Kronos, the Titan King trying to block it with his axe-scythe and failing as his leg slashed right through it and bifurcated him in half.
"Dance." Zeus chanted as soon as he stood upright, Kronos growing disoriented as Zeus leapt from foot to foot before hundreds of afterimages appeared leaping along with him all across the sky.
"You dare mock me, boy?!" Kronos snarled before he lifted the top half of his axe and swung it in a wide arc, time around him becoming completely still before devastation followed as gargantuan pillars of crescent energy blades sliced through space and time as it tore the dimension apart.
"No. You're just too easy to fool. Now farewell, father, and may you never return once again." Kronos' eyes widened as he heard Zeus' voice behind him, unable to do anything but turn slowly as all of the god's lightning and aura condensed around his fist.
"The Fist that Surpassed Time." Time went still for all of existence as Zeus swung his fist forward, Kronos unable to anything but give a slight chuckle right before the fist crashed into his chest.
Kronos didn't get a moment to even gasp or give a silent scream as he exploded into gold dust, the dust being disintegrated and erased by the corrosive dimensional energy of the Dimensional Gap as Zeus smiled while slowly transforming back into his base form right before a crest appeared under him and he disappeared.
City of Olympus:
As Zeus reappeared from the teleportation crest, he chuckled at the sight of everyone waiting for him.
"Father?" Poseidon asked and Zeus nodded.
"He's dead for good. Fated to be scattered throughout the Dimensional Gap for all of existence."He said and it felt as if a weight disappeared from everyone's shoulders as they sighed, Amaterasu and Odin giving each other amused smiles and Zeus & Poseidon rolling their eyes in exasperation as the younger Olympian Gods sagged to the ground in relief.
"Thank us for that. Only you and Uncle Poseidon can take him on and even then, I don't know if he would be able to beat him." Apollon groaned before two exaggerated coughs were heard.
"Excuse me? I'm still the Chief god of the Shinto Pantheon and Zeus' equal as far as I know." Amaterasu said with a frown and her arms crossed.
"And I am still my brother's equal, nephew." Poseidon said with a frown, Apollon just giving a sheepish grin as Artemis smirked amusedly and Hermes & Ares laughed at him.
"Now, now, everyone. Let us first gather for a briefing and then figure out what to do further." Gilgamesh said and everyone sighed as they nodded, the human & deities walking to the city of Olympus to discuss things further.
Back to the Future:
Huntsmen Organization HQ:
"…And that is basically it. Well, after the battle, I as well as the Chief gods of the Norse-Shinto-Greek Alliance decided to form a four-way alliance, but other than that, that's about." Gilgamesh finished his story, the captains just staring at him before Theo sighed.
"So, apart from Rizevim, Crom Cruach and Euclid, we have sealed and/ or killed most of the heavy hitters of the Khaos Brigade?" He asked and Gilgamesh grinned as he nodded
"Indeed we have. This is a tremendous victory for not only the Huntsmen Organization, but also humanity as now most of the threats to peace have been neutralized and we have been given more time to get ready for the real war." Gilgamesh said and Theo smiled as he nodded before the captains all snapped to the door as it was blasted open, Siegfried standing in the middle of the door as he gasped for air while Jeanne & Valerie tried to catch their breath as well.
"What's the reason for interrupting our meeting, Sieg?" Theo asked with a frown and Siegfried took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Sir! We have just gotten word from our spies in the Vatican, the Hindu Pantheon and Olympus! The Exorcist faction of the Vatican have gone rogue, Indra & Vishnu has declared a full-scale war on Shiva & Brahma and the Grim Reaper Factions have taken over the Underworld and are stuck in a civil war!"
"…Just one break. That's all I want." Theo sighed, the captains still frozen in shock as Gilgamesh groaned while sinking in his chair.
'Crom Cruach was right. We are getting too old for this bullshit.'
