It's been over a year… so basically I wasn't able to access this site, but now I can! I bet nobody's still reading this, but I hope you enjoy this - please note that it will probably not be as good as my past chapters.

It felt like there were hands around her, choking her, clawing apart her body. Ziva sank to the floor against her apartment wall, breathing heavily. She was gasping, choking, begging for breath. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she felt the world spin around her.

"Please.." she whispered, tears leaking from her eyes, "save me…"

Gibbs felt a strange feeling in his chest, a pang of worry for his young agent. She had been paying little attention to her surroundings in work lately, and he saw the look in her eyes. The light was gone and it was dull. So, that night he couldn't handle it anymore, and decided to go to her house.

He showed up at the front door, slightly hesitant to ring the doorbell. What if this was all a trick on his mind? What if Ziva was fine and well? He shooed the thoughts from his mind and rang the doorbell. There was silence, not even the sound of footsteps approaching the door. After a moment, he knocked on the door again.

"Ziver?" He called. "You there?"

The lights were on but there was nobody to be seen. Hesitantly, he bent down to lift up the doormat. His gut was right! Between the cracks of an old brick, was a spare key. He fished it out with his fingers and unlocked the door. The sight was not a pleasant one.

Ziva was curled up against the wall, her chest rising and falling rapidly. There were tear streaks on her cheeks, and her eyes were red and puffy. Gibbs knelt down in front of her and reached out a hand. She flinched violently, banging her head against the wall.

"Shh, it's okay," he spoke in a low voice, pulling her into a hug. He cupped her head and kissed her forehead, rocking her back and forth. She whimpered, her hands shakily looking for comfort. Gibbs took her hands in his, kissing them gently.

"Save me," she begged, clutching his hands desperately. "I need you, please."

"I will Ziver, I will," Gibbs responded, gripping her hands tightly. And he wasn't lying. He would do anything to save his precious little girl.

This was a random, spur of the moment chapter. I'm not sure if I'm going to get back into writing, as I have other things, but I hope I will. Thanks for reading, really hope you enjoyed it!
