The first thing Verde did upon being let out of the cupboard was plan. There was not a single chance in hell that he would stay with these creatures any longer than necessary. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be able to leave right away like he desired. Given the nature of the bazooka ammunition and time turners, both temporary time travel devices, it was possible that he would be returned to his proper timeline at any moment. Should that be the case, escaping now would do more harm than good. So Verde would wait three days. If he was not returned to his time after three days had passed, then he would leave and never look back.

Even so, three days was a long time for Verde to wait. He may not be able to enact any of his plans at the moment, but he could make preparations in the event he was trapped in the past for good. If that proved to be the case, as Verde highly suspected it was, then there was no reason for Verde not to take full advantage of the situation. Armed with the knowledge he currently has, he could avoid many obstacles from his previous life and ensure he would have a much easier life in the long run.

Starting early, he could sell his inventions a good thirty years before they were originally invented. This would give him a steady source of income separate from his inheritance and had the added benefit of building up his reputation. Out of all his titles, Verde quite enjoyed being the Second Coming of Da Vinci. That was a title he earned through his own effort and hard work, unlike the ones he was given from the magical world.

Voldemort would be easy to deal with. Knowing where all the horcruxes would be, if not currently then in a few years, was an advantage in many ways. Primarily, it would drastically cut down the time it would take to defeat the old snake face. He would gather the ones he could now, and then wait until it was time to gather the remaining ones. This would give him time to experiment on the horcruxes, to see about removing the souls without destroying the host. Then he would destroy the soul shards and ideally Tom himself before he came into any power. Ending the war before it could even become an idea on the horizon.

Verde would have to be careful however. He refused to risk anyone he cared about. By the time Harry Potter had fully become Verde, he had lost too many friends. Too many people he considered family. It left him jaded. A broken shell of his former self. Years later when he discovered flames, all the pieces fell into place and he finally understood why he felt so broken. His guardians had died, leaving him behind to mourn their loss.

This time things would be different. He wouldn't allow them to be put in danger at all. If Verde was stuck in the past then he would use this knowledge to change everything that went wrong. Starting with Sirius. Then Tom and a few minor issues that are best dealt with early. Next would be cutting off Dumbledore's manipulations. While the old headmaster wasn't necessarily evil, his methods for winning the war were sloppy and spoke of an ulterior motive. Dumbledore would rather take the long winding path to the end than the most direct route to victory. That mindset caused many unnecessary deaths in the war. Deaths that Verde planned to prevent.

Once all of that hassle was dealt with, Verde would spend his time inventing until he'd need to deal with the whole "Checkerface" issue again. That man was tricky. More so than anyone Verde had ever seen before. If he wanted to beat him, Verde would need to play the long game. One misstep would have everything he worked for crashing down. That was something Verde couldn't afford.

But first things first. Verde needed to deal with the Dursleys. Once they were out of the way, Verde would have the freedom to operate as he needed without interference. He wouldn't kill them, despite how tempting the idea was. Unfortunately that would draw unnecessary attention. It wouldn't do to have Dumbeldore poking his nose into his business this early in the game.

Therefore one of the first things Verde planned on doing once he left his relatives was changing his magical and legal guardians. And he knew exactly who would take up that role. The only trouble would be arranging it, but with some help from the Goblins and Amelia Bones (the only competent member of the Ministry in his opinion) it would be a simple matter. Verde merely needed to arrange a meeting. His memories and knowledge would cover most of the evidence necessary to get both parties on his side. Verde was even willing to consent to Verituserum if they still didn't believe him. Having Madam Bones and the Goblins on his side were two things he couldn't afford to pass up.

In the end, the next three days passed by at a snail's pace. There was only so much waiting Verde could do without anything to entertain him, and planning could only go so far before action was needed to continue further.

On the first day, Verde had stolen some money from Petunia's purse and used it to buy a few notebooks, which he had already filled by the end of day two. The first one contained anything and everything Verde could remember about his original timeline, written in a code only the Arcobaleno knew. The other two notebooks had been filled with blueprints of inventions he planned to make early. One for magical inventions and the other for muggle ones.

By day three, Verde had nothing else to do. And he was Bored. He hadn't been this bored since he broke his shoulder and Reborn wouldn't heal it until Verde had sat through a lecture on why playing with bombs while wearing flame suppressant cuffs was a stupid idea. Verde remembered maybe the first three minutes of that lecture. It lasted three hours.

So instead of waiting any longer and losing more brain cells by being in the same vicinity as these buffoons, Verde decided to enact the first step of his plan a little early. He simply waited until Vernon left for work and Dudley for school before cornering Petunia in the kitchen.

"I know about my mother's world. Cooperate with me and we will never have to see each other again," Verde told the horse bluntly. She tried to look intimidating, but merely made herself look even more pathetic than before. A simple, wandless and nonverbal levitation of the dining room table had her changing her mind very quickly.

One short car ride later found Verde standing outside the Leaky Cauldron. He allowed a smirk to appear. Step one, complete.

I have no excuse. I genuinely have had this chapter ready for months and forgot about it. In my (meager) defense, I finished it in my notebook and only recently typed everything up. Still, whoops? My bad. Did not mean to take so long to have this chapter ready for you all. Hopefully the next chapter will be faster, since I probably won't write it in my notebook and will do it straight onto the computer when I work. The struggle is not getting interrupted every five minutes when I try to work *insert crying emoji here*.

Anywho, this is only one chapter in a mass update I have planned for today, so I hope you all look forward to that! A few weeks ago I bought a Bluetooth keyboard so I could write on my iPad and it's been a life changing experience. I've also started keeping track of the number of words I write each day and that has helped motivate me too. I've been taking my iPad and keyboard with me when I work over at the hospital so I have more opportunities to write and less interruptions than I would at home. Weirdly enough, despite there being a higher number of interruptions than if I tried writing while babysitting, I actually am more productive when writing at the hospital. I guess it's easier to get back into focus when you don't have to constantly split your brain between the computer and the toddler running around. Love her to death but she's chaos incarnate.

Welp. That's enough rambling out of me for this AN. I still have like ten more I need to write! Hope you all enjoyed this chapter and thank you for sticking with it despite the eternity between updates! I'll see you all shortly for the next installment of the update spam!
