Annabeth
Currently 20 years old
The phone on the table has been ringing for the pass five minutes, Annabeth's eyes doesn't move a bit, despite the noise. She knew who is calling and as much as it annoys her, she didn't pick up. However, she set up her mind, if the person calls her one more time, she is going to block him.
Sensing her mood, the sound died down. Annabeth get up from her desk, which is scattered with pens and designs she is working on. After dragging herself to the kitchen and pour a glass of water, gulped it down her throat; she checked her message and missed calls, 20 times, seriously why does the man don't know what the word give up means? Just as Annabeth scolded at the caller in her head, Thalia decided to text her.
Annie!

Bye stay safe 3
Letting out a long sigh, she put down her phone and look around her dorm. From the pile of dirty dishes needed to be cleaned, to the unwashed clothes, back to her desk. Chaos indeed. Major in architecture, life in university is never easy. Tons of works and essays, plus spending time with her friends, not that she has many. To say the lifestyle is draining her isn't an overstate, that is part of the reason she said yes to Thalia's invitation. Another part is she finally get to see her sister in a long period.
They first met on street when they were small. Annabeth ran out after her father telling her that he and mother are going to divorce. She went to a ice-cream shop and saw Thalia asking the people in the street stand if they need worker. Being a known-it-all since little, she piped up and tell the older girl it's against the law to hire people under a certain age, it's easier to get money if you go on the streets and beg or steal. The girl laughed at her remarkable words and asked her why she is on the streets, not attending school.
Annabeth's braveness seems to work its way to Thalia's heart in a short period of time. They got apart soon because Zeus' network found his daughter, the business man also sent his man to take her home. Turns out, her mother, Athena, is a close employe of his, shocker.
They keep in touch all these years, and about half year ago, Thalia told her she opened a bar called 'Silver moon' in the city. She is not surprise at all, opening a bar or a club sound like something Thalia will do, and the reason of her doing that isn't hard to guess either. Annabeth assume the girl doesn't want to take her dad's money anymore, but she didn't guess the bigger picture behind it.
Thalia mentioned she wants to introduce her to Jason and Perce, this is the first time her heard of the second person, and Annabeth thinks Perce is just a nickname. Jason is someone she known of but never met, they went to the same college actually, but in some twisted way, their path never crossed. From various conversation with Thalia, Annabeth can see the love the sister held for her dear brother, say that she would give up her life for him if opportunity given. There are rumors around the campus, some said that he is a player, others said he is some bastard child from a rich family; funny that is second one is partly true.
Take a glance at the clock which is hung above the desk, Annabeth thought it will be a good idea to grab a coffee, she certainly needs more caffeine in her blood if she wants to finish the work tonight so she can go to Thalia's bar the next day.
"Carmel latte with whipped cream on top, and add two shots."
"Tough day?" The clerk, Mary, asked because of the slightly change of her order.
"Tough night, Mary. Look at the time." Annabeth said in amusement.
"Umhm, you know what? You're right." The girl behind the counter chuckled. Annabeth looked around the shop and didn't see the person she is searching, so she leaned forward on the counter and asked.
"Is Malcolm coming lately?" She questioned the girl.
"Yeah, he did. Need to pass a word to him? It's pretty amazing that you two never met in this shop though. You guys are like our most regular customers."
"Whatever." She murmured. "No need to leave message, we'll find each other if it's important."
"He always asked about you when him came. Here's your drink." Mary added before handing her the life water she ordered.
"Trust me, he just needs to make sure I'm still alive." She told the girl after take a big slip of the drink, the sense of caffeine flowing in her veins is better than ever. She bid the girl good bye and walk out of the shop, back to her dorm, facing the music of her endless works.
"Rachel, Rachel." The red head sitting beside her is now drooling all over her table. The bell in the campus just ring, telling the students that the class is dismissed.
"Hmm..." Rachel raised her head with a soft groan. Annabeth had to admit that this course is boring as hell, as an art student, color theory is something in mind. But she just couldn't get herself to nap between literature.
"Rach, can I borrow something?" Annabeth wait for her friend to clear her mind before start speaking.
"Money? I have shit tons of that." She said with a yawn after.
"Um, clothes?" she said hesitantly.
"You know you are wearing one now?" Rachel raised an eyebrow at her, not getting the message.
"For bar or clubbing." The girl didn't say anything for three seconds, reading her face, trying to find a tiny bit of liar.
"You are serious." Rachel finally made a sound and nodded her head slowly. "You can come to my house today and pick something you like. Which club you are going?"
"Thanks. It's Silver Moon."
"Woah, that's hard to get in! Can you bring me as a plus one?" She showed her the puppy eyes after knowing the place she is planning to go.
"Sorry, maybe next time, I need to meet someone there." She gave a apologized smile.
"As long as I got the chance. How did you...?" Rachel shrugged off and asked her how did she get the pass with waving hands.
"The owner, she and I are friends." Knowing there is no why to hide, Annabeth told her the truth.
"And here I thought our goody two shoes won't do something like that." The red head smirked at her new found information. Annabeth smacked her arms and flash her a wicked grin.
"I've left home since sixteen, where in the world am I a goody student?"
"Yeah, right. I forgot that." Rachel pouted at her remark.
Later that day went on smoothly, just your daily university life, old professor nagging and giving more assignments, shitty group partners along with campus drama. She rang the bell of Rachael's apartment, mansion to be exact. Her father bought her one next to the campus right after knowing which school she got into.
The gate opened automatically after a few seconds, she shouted the door and walked right in the room. The living room is wrecked, canvas and palette all over the floor, so many that there is barely a piece floor is unoccupied. The whole house screaming an art student living in.
"In the closet!" The sound of Rachel muffing come from inside the house. Annabeth put her things on the couch which is lucky not scattered with paint and strolled in her closet room. "Sooo, which kinda style do you want!" Rachel turned around and faced her as she entered the war zone. In the middle of the room are several outfits been lay out by her friend, around the room is closet with clothes poking out from every direction. Though it's not the first time Annabeth been here, she is still amazing by the amount of clothes Rachel has, this is the dream barbie house every girl wanted.
The outfit Rachel picked out are: exposing top, exposing bottom and exposing both.
"Umm, Rach, you know it's winter now do you?" She told her with unsure in her voice.
"Yep, but if you are going to club, exposing is a must!" Her squeak is so high that Annabeth is almost suspicious she is on drug.
"Fine, leg it is." Knowing she couldn't win her on this, she chose is one she's more confident with. Yes, she has boobs, just not big enough to flash it around at the club.
"Okay! So, long boots, skinny skirt, leather jacket and white top. You will be perfect."
Annabeth got back at her dorm at eleven in the night, Rachel asked her to stay but she declined, thinking of the pile of work on her desk, she doesn't deserve a sleepover at a friend's house. She buried into work as soon as she cleaned herself; when she is half way to finish, a different caller than the morning rang in. She let out a long sigh and swipe to pick up the call.
"What's the matter?" She pinched the middle of her nose and groaned with annoyed, wondering why in the love of the world is her brother calling her right now.
"Nothing big, just making sure you are still alive." Her brother huffed on the other side of the phone.
"You can just text me." She said as a matter of fact.
"And you never reply." He shot back. Guilty charged. It's will be lying to say she didn't have time. But the over protection from her brother is too much for her, especially after the accident.
"So, anything interesting lately?" Her brother asked, eagerly to back in a part of her life.
"Umm, Thalia invited me to her bar." He would know sooner or later, so Annabeth decided to spill the beans. She heard her dear brother take in a breath as the word 'bar' left her lips, sure that's a shock, it's the first time Annabeth planning on going to a bar.
"Okay, okay. You said the bar Thalia opened?"
"Umhm."
"Okay. Silver moon, right? If it's opened by her, I guess the security there is fine, tell her if anything happen you hear me? I don't want something happen like last time and don't drink too much. Text me when you left home, got there, left there and got home." Her brother starts to get all brotherly on her.
"Yes, I know, text you when I left a place or got to one. Be safe, stick the people I know, don't drink liquor." She murmured.
"You can drink, just not too much." Her brother said softly over the phone, probably sensing he is putting too much pressure on this 'my little sister is going to a bar' thing. "You all know what it does to you last time."
"Of course, no need to remind me." She huffed; her brother sure is a tricky thing. "Hey, I gotta go, if I want to go tomorrow, need to finish work tonight."
"Kay, love you sissy."
"Love you too." Then she hung up the call. If she was tired before the call, she is dying after.
It's evil of him to bring up the accident that happened six months ago. Annabeth wasn't in her best self then, she just broke up with her ex, Luke. She realized he is too controlling over everything and anything, from the style she wears, the people she talked to, all the way to the shape of her body. She needs someone who sees her as an equal, not a decoration, so she took an end to this one-year relationship.
But how can someone just get over a person like that? So, she turned on her best friend when heartbroken, alcohol. In her drunk state, she called Luke, even let him in her apartment, as predicted, that didn't go great. He screamed at her about why she is breaking up with him and tried to rape her. Lucky, her brother planned to visit her that day and save her in the middle her trying to escape Luke's grip on her ankle.
Annabeth hasn't drink since then.
Not knowing whether it's a good idea promising Thalia meeting her at the club, she dropped her head on the desk and call it a day.
