While Beerus and Whis lost themselves in the best cuisine that Earth had to offer, Kurai gathered the Z-fighters and they gathered on the lookout.

He had to lay his cards on the table now, no hiding them anymore.

"I know how to create the Super Saiyan God." Kurai said without any preamble, "So we are going to use The Hyperbolic Time Chamber to gain as much mastery over it as possible and then focus on getting stronger. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Xtrunks, The Time Patrollers, and Gohan are going with me into the Time Chamber to train and get Goku and Vegeta used to the god forms. Gohan needs to grow and maybe tap into his potential more deeply than before, there is still a wellspring of power he hasn't accessed. Me and Xtrunks will help them along and we need five pure-hearted saiyans and Frigi would be an excellent sparring partner with his own transformation. Everyone else will go out in search of the dragon balls just in case we do need them for any reason at all and prepare for the fight. The rest of you will not be able to stop Beerus, but if we need more time, you're the best bet to keep him stalled for any length of time."

"Wait…" Vegeta said slowly, "You knew the whole time and didn't tell us? Why would you hide that power from us?"

Kurai sighed, "A part of it is because I wanted your power to increase as much as possible to help the gains of the Super Saiyan God forms. That may seem a bit counter-intuitive when I taught you Super Saiyan 4, but that was simply a matter of opportunity to use the form myself and then hoping the tail would give us all gaining greater mastery over the more stamina-intensive aspects of our transformations. Another part is waiting for Beerus to make his move on his own and frankly I forgot in the months following as I was busy training. There was a chance he may have never woken up at all to be fair, in this timeline — if were using the original timeline that I know best as a baseline — he should've woken up a long while back, but that isn't important right now. The less time we spend in the chamber the more time we lose to master the transformation and build it stronger."

Everyone really couldn't argue with that, the two groups separated to finish their tasks.

Blows and ki blasts echoed in the chamber as Goku, Vegeta and Xtrunks all sparred with each other in their newly acquired God Forms while the other sparred and fought with each other in their own form, all of us trying to grow as much as possible in the months we had. Frigi was helping immensely with a form that rivaled Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan in power and made all the people train all the more. With Kurai and Xtrunks helping and Kurai showing off Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan as a motivator, the newly created Super Saiyan Gods worked hard and already showed considerable mastery given the month they had been in there, while Kurai went deeper into the chamber to be on his own and further his Ultra Instinct once he had deemed it okay for him to go off on his own.

Kurai sat in a meditative pose as he access Ultra Instinct in its Omen state, trying to refine his mastery of it rather than push forward into Mastered Ultra Instinct.

Omen was the real way forward.

Then he transformed into a Super Saiyan, the two forms mixing with each other as he tried to keep one from switching fully into another.

He had managed to get to a point where he could willingly go into the Ultra Instinct Omen state and by sparring with a clone practically non-stop, he could use it without the severe toll it would normally incur as he strengthened his base. It wasn't to say he could stay in the Omen form forever, he was no angel and naturally it would eventually tire him out before he would need time to recover or cast Energy Zone. He had come very far since he started though; he was satisfied with it's current mastery and wanted to move on. He was also considering the harsh conditions of working in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which made the gains even more powerful as the conditions pushed the strain on the occupants to the limit. He was sure that once he tried to use Omen outside of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber it would be far easier to maintain when he tried it.

Either way, his training had been painful and arduous but fruitful as he completed the next step he planned to take in regards to his progression forward.

He knew from some of his lessons with Whis that Mastered Ultra Instinct was a form that was only achieved by those who stayed calm and controlled. It was sometime in the future that Goku could access the form, but — depending on the situation — it was obvious that his accuracy could dramatically decrease if his emotions got the better of him. It really showed up as a common problem that Goku's emotions always caused the form to become less effective in combat. One instance was when Jiren threatened and tried to destroy the Universe 7 fighters who were outside the ring during the Tournament of Power — which in hindsight was grounds enough for him to be disqualified from the tournament in Kurai's humble opinion — and with that he unintentionally decreased Goku's proficiency with Ultra Instinct's accuracy by inciting his rage, destabilizing the clearheadedness needed. Other times his worry for his allies also continued to chip away at his form, making it less and less useful for the emotional saiyan. Goku simply cared far too much about everyone and everything to ever be able to truly get to a point where Mastered Ultra Instinct would be the perfect answer to all his enemies that were coming.

Omen however, didn't require the same control to maintain which is something that made it more practical for others — mainly not the aloof angel species — to use. There was the fact that while it was still capable of the ability to dodge and defend without thinking there was the slight but significant handicap of the user's attack power remaining the same or only slightly stronger than they would be in the user's base until further training. Defending and dodging was all well and good, but one needed to be able to damage their opponent as well as inevitably Omen still drained away stamina — and so far there was no way to stop that completely even with his tail back and helping mitigate it — and would leave the user tired and weakened once the form expired.

Super Saiyan and its subsequent forms were the answer.

Kurai was sure of it.

Which was exactly why Kurai was going to see if he could surpass or overcome the drawback by mixing his Super Saiyan Transformations into the Omen state, a way to take the best of both worlds by manipulating the God's techniques and the Saiyan's primal power with each other. It was the goal he aimed at from the moment he had started tapping into Ultra Instinct in his base form and begun sparring with it in conjunction with his Super Saiyan transformations. In the back of his mind it may have been part of the reason he was so interested in the Super Saiyan 4 state even if he didn't realize it at the time. He didn't want to just 'tap into it's but actually create the form that would mix the both in perfect balance.

Power and Skill in perfect tandem.

He would need to think of a name for it, but that could wait as he felt the forms stop quite pushing against each other to overwhelm but rather just…

Mix.

The aura stabilized and became a flowing glow of Super Saiyan mixed with Omen rather than the usual flaring aura of ki from just Super Saiyan.

It wasn't perfect by any means as it was a struggle to keep it balanced, but it was a start.

It was possible.

Kurai stood up and tested his movements.

Too stiff, but he would probably get used to it in time and training.

He created a clone and they both got into their stance.

Time to test out its effectiveness.

Months passed by.

Fuhai scratched at his head as he looked up at the several spheres containing his newest batch of opponents.

He had harvested samples of the foes in that world after seeing the fascinating story that had been spun from a few slight changes.

He sighed, realizing that he was more like Fu than he cared to admit, especially the version that had a whole bunch of planets chained together to cause problems and little else.

Fuhai sighed, even his own name was too eerily similar for that matter.

But where Fu was a inquisitive child with no good sense and just throwing around ideas and power like a sledgehammer, Fuhai was a scientist — and maybe a spectator — to fascinating situations borne of chaotic and surgical precision.

Throw weak enemies at strong opponents and frankly it was boring, but he had recently gotten some very interesting specimens and ached to use them. He would've thrown a few of them right in just to get a few tests; see how they stacked up against the Z-fighters right now, but with Beerus and Whis both on scene and both of them looking for him because of that damn patroller's warning?

It was best he wait until they left and then try it out as Beerus would be lose his temper and probably destroy the Earth if he was to wait any longer.

And despite the fact that would solve the issue of the patrollers, that would also kill this test group he had been working on for so long.

He hated wasted time and effort for everything to fall apart like that.

Things had already gotten so much more difficult for him with all the new policies that had been applied to the universes thanks to that Kurai bastard.

Whatever, he'd just need to find a workaround later.

Observing the different timelines, he came across quite a curious one where Goku had to deal with Raditz, Nappa, and the Saibamen rather than just the saiyan. What also had changed is that Goku had acquired the Kaio-ken ability earlier sometime during the years of peace. With him having trained frequently on King Kai's world and constantly fighting Piccolo who was training constantly to keep up, the two were significantly more powerful. With the increase in regards to their abilities, they had won quite handily against Raditz and Nappa, easily decimating the Siabamen alongside their masters. Goku's power alone would have been more than enough to take on Vegeta, but the prince never showed and Goku instead helped trained his allies so all the forces of Earth were ready for future threats (with Piccolo still being influenced by Gohan to change his ways).

Vegeta had never came to Earth, training by himself while the altered saiyan threat was swiftly and quickly dealt with without much issue. That being said, Frieza decided to send his forces to attack Earth before heading to Namek, allowing Goku and his allies to swiftly rebuff the invading forces, including the emperor Frieza himself. Unfortunately before he left, Krillin and the other humans had been killed in front of Goku, causing the one thing Frieza feared above all else. With the Earth's dragon balls still not being enough to revive all of them and hearing Freiza cursing them all before managing to retreat, the path forward was just the same as before. Chasing Frieza to keep from him gaining immortality and for revenge, Goku and his allies ended up on Namek and encountering Vegeta for the first time who was once again in the pursuit of immortality. Goku was there and with his son — as Goku was well aware of his hidden potential — Goku trained his son as much as he could on the way over, surprising everyone at how fast Gohan managed to catch on.

After battling and recruiting Vegeta — and utterly beating the prince — Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo tore their way through the Ginyu force and beat Frieza down. Frieza refused to let himself die to a saiyan and went to destroy the planet, and while he did set of the chain reaction to blow the planet up, the dragon balls were utilized to revive the fallen, and send the namekians to Earth. Frieza had tried to demand immortality for himself, but without knowing the namekian language, it had been fruitless and Goku quickly dealt the final blow while the emperor was distracted. Knowing he and his allies were doomed if he didn't find a quick way off planet, he wished for the namekian dragon balls to also go to Earth, he and the Z-fighters — including a grumpy Vegeta — on the dying planet all blitzed back to the ship that got them to Namek and made and emergency exit.

Future Trunks had arrived and instead of dealing with Frieza, he managed to to catch Goku in private at his house. And Chichi — having overheard the conversation — made sure to get Goku to take the medicine on time and informing the rest of the Z-fighters, causing Goku to be in perfect health to take on the androids. Cell eventually arrived and — despite the Z-fighters best efforts to prevent it — absorbed 17 and 18, forcing everyone to train in The Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The change was that everyone drilled much harder as the had been stronger than normal, thus increasing their gains from the time and being able to surpass Cell. Goku even managed to survive to work with his son against Cell and Gohan never went down an arm and Cell never managed to access Super Cell.

Babidi arrived, but his powers in that timeline had surpassed his father Bibidi, able to revive those with evil in their hearts. Bringing Cell and Frieza back to implant the two with the majin symbol on the two and bring around Majin Vegeta. With them sent out to collect energy to revive Buu, it was inevitable that the z-fighters would fight back. It was enough for Buu to be revived, but he immediately killed the wizard rather than taking any commands from him. Cell and Frieza reluctantly went into hiding to try to formulate their own plans to get back at the Z-fighters, but — with a slight nudge from Fuhai — Super Buu came around and found the two of them. He had taken on their characteristics and powers and somehow only gaining their power even with them being so much weaker.

That had been surprising.

And that was the inspiration for the current set of experiments he was working on in regards to the samples he had. Two tanks of purple liquid had a clone of both a certain bio-android and space emperor, while a purple sphere of time distortion ki held a dormant clone of Super Buu himself. Fuhai even collected a few Cell Juniors to see if they were 'the chip off the old block' that Cell claimed they were. The 'genetics' behind each of the opponents were fascinating and viewing the stored memory of them even more so. In the timeline he was throwing new enemies into, he would've never been able to get any of the samples he had been able to collect with a small excursion into that timeline. Frieza was back to being strung up in hell like pupating moth he had been since his death at Goku's hand and later Trunks' blade, so it was unlikely that he would be revived until much later if at all. Perfect Cell was also doing little in Hell as he had already absorbed his imperfect form and the androids for only moderate boosts in his power. He might've been able to even access golden ki as he did have Frieza's DNA and subsequent potential, but he wasn't training either and had little interest in the escapades of the Z-fighters. Buu himself was kept under strict supervision as he would never be reincarnated as Uub and ergo was still a malicious and destructive maniac who needed to be unable to escape ever.

That being said, he did have some plans.

Most laid on the shoulders of Frieza and his the hidden potential of his species and both Cell and Buu's ability to absorb their foes.

Golden Frieza was a monster when it came to power, and the only thing that was necessary to reach that form was quite literally training hard enough. Most wouldn't think it, but Frieza was a prodigy himself, having an immense amount of power practically from birth. His father recognized it and Cooler worked himself to the bone to keep up with his brother and not be utterly outclassed. In some timelines, Cooler had managed to unlock the golden form on top of his final form, and his power was formidable. Ironically, it was eerily similar to how Vegeta constantly clashed with Goku to be stronger and stronger. Four months of training to achieve a form that rivaled Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan was not something to sneeze at. And considering Cell managed to attain a 'Super' form from his near death in the main timeline and he was fairly certain Buu had the ability to use all the techniques of whatever hapless fool he absorbed including all the power while purging all the weaknesses…

What's to say they couldn't use amalgamation if all those powers to their benefit?

Beerus was full, and incredibly satisfied by the delicious assortments of food that the Earth had so far offered to him. He and Whis hadn't even be able to eat all the variations on a single dish before finally he could eat no more.

The planet may be worth keeping around just for that alone.

Either way.

It was time for him to get what he woke up for all those months ago.

Whis was happily indulging himself in some sort of colorful concoction in a cup, and while Beerus wanted a taste himself, he refrained from demanding a taste.

"Whis."

"Yes, Lord Beerus."

"Let's go find the saiyans."
