"We sometimes encounter people, even perfect strangers, who begin to interest us at first sight, somehow suddenly, all at once, before a word has been spoken."
Fedor Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment, 1966.

Juvia always said that for her, when it came to Gray, it was love at first sight, Lyon said that for him it was the same, but for her.
Juvia was in love with Gray and Lyon was in love with Juvia.
Juvia had met Gray on the roof of Phantom Lord when they were enemies, but surprisingly, love had bloomed, at least for Juvia.
After that, Juvia joined Fairy Tail and that is how she met Lyon and with just one look, he fell hopelessly in love.
Lyon was a childhood friend of Gray's, his training partner, and the older student of Ur.
Both were ice mages and both were as cold as their element.
They spent many years without seeing each other, in fact Lyon had grown up hating Gray and Gray tried to not remember that part of his past, because it hurt too much.
When they met again, it was messy, but the two managed to reunite, Ur's two students were finally on good terms with each other, even though their old rivalry still existed.
Rivalry that now seemed to have increased with Juvia's presence.
Oh yes, this was Ur's worst nightmare, that these two boys that she had come to love as her own, would fall in love and fight over the same girl.
…
For Gray, it wasn't love at first sight, it was more a crash at first sight, that is to say, this girl that should have been his enemy and that he should defeat for the good of the guild, had told him that she had fallen in love with him.
But, they had only known each other for two minutes!
Afterward, when the battle with Phantom Lord had ended, Juvia decided to join Fairy Tail and the Master agreed, well, we'll say that from then on things had started to change for him.
Gray's first thought about Juvia, during the Phantom Lord era, was this: an enemy of the guild, with extraordinary powers very similar to his own, very gloomy and sad.
His second thought about Juvia, when they had reunited at Akane Resort and later during the Tower of Heaven, was that he didn't consider her an enemy anymore and that she had proven herself as an ally, with extraordinary powers and very smart, without the air of sadness that surrounded her the first time.
When she officially joined Fairy Tail, his thoughts were this: a guildmate, a nakama, a friend, a slightly crazy girl who is always following me and declaring her love, but someone very important to me.
…
Lyon first met Juvia when Fairy Tail returned from Tenrou, after having been missing for seven years, it was love at first sight.
Lyon looked at her and he was stunned, and from that moment he knew that he had fallen hopelessly in love.
Unfortunately, to his dismay he discovered that Juvia only had eyes for Gray.
Yes, Gray, again, always him, Gray.
It was at that moment that a different rivalry between the two ice mages began, a tension was created no longer involving Ur, it was no longer about who the better ice mage was or who the better student was, it was no longer about their late teacher, it was about Juvia, the girl that was in love with Gray, the girl who that Lyon had fallen in love with.
As Gray had said, as of that moment, things just got more complicated again.
…
To Juvia, Gray was the love of her life, her sun, her prince charming that she had always dreamed about, the knight in shining armor that had saved her from the rain and the darkness that submerged her. He was her light. Gray was to Juvia, the present that she loved and the future she longed for.
…
To Lyon, Juvia was a nymph, she was the most beautiful and perfect women that existed, she was the sun, the light, the moon, the sky, she was everything, to Lyon, Juvia was simply perfect.
…
To Gray, Juvia was his guildmate, a member of Fairy Tail, thus Nakama and Family. But, she was also a great friend and ally, a great battle companion. When they combined their powers, nothing at all could defeat them. To Gray, Juvia was an exceptional mage, not for nothing, she was once a class S mage.
Yes, she was a bit weird and very crazy, but who wasn't in Fairy Tail?
Juvia had a good heart, a huge heart, to tell the truth, it was full of love and courage, he really admired her, perhaps, because of this he had saved her from falling off the roof of Phantom.
Gray had seen something in Juvia. To him, she was different from the other members of Phantom Lord. And no, not because she was a woman. He had already made it clear that he didn't care if she was a woman, a senior citizen, or even a child, as an enemy of Fairy Tail a threat to his friends was automatically an enemy of his.
According to Gray, Juvia just ended up in the wrong place under the wrong circumstances, so he was happy that the Master had understood and had accepted her into Fairy Tail.
…
To Juvia, Lyon was just a childhood friend of her Gray-Sama, a very annoying guy who, according to her, pretended to flirt with Juvia, but in reality was a love rival that wanted to take away her Gray-Sama.
Yes, Juvia's crazy ideas…
…
To Lyon, Gray was his childhood friend, his training partner and, for a long time, the one he found responsible for Ur's death.
When they later reunited and after having fought and also clarified things, Gray returned to being his friend, his closest friend, and his little brother.
Lyon loved Gray, honestly, although he showed it in his own way.
Anyways, despite this, despite their bond, something happened that never should have happened.
Lyon had fallen in love with Juvia, who was in love with Gray.
…
To Gray, Lyon was part of his tragic past that he tried to forget, but destiny had decided to reunite them, then have them fight, and then make them closer than ever.
But, Lyon had fallen in love with Juvia and Juvia was in love with Gray.
And Gray?
How did Gray feel about Juvia?
Well, he always said that she was his friend.
Even so, it immensely bothered him whenever Lyon or another person got close or flirted with her.
Why?
He didn't even know!
Gray didn't deny that Juvia was important to him, much more than he expected, but to Gray it wasn't love, at least not yet.
…
Author's corner!
Hello!
Oh, yes, here I am with a new fanfic!
This time, it's about a love triangle between Gruvia and Lyvia.
You know that Gruvia is my OTP and I love them and will always defend them, but I'll admit that I do think a bit about Lyon.
I have always found that trauma interesting and I always told myself that I should write something about that.
This fanfic was born (in my mind of course) after the party at the palace, and I honestly believe that that part has so much material that can be used and can be written in different versions.
Also, if we're being real, love triangles are always interesting! Especially when they involve a girl and two guys with such an important bond. Or maybe I'm the only one who likes such tragic things! Hahaha!
Either way, this is the prologue, that explains the triangle a little bit.
Keep in mind that this takes place before Tartaros, therefore, a lot of things haven't happened yet.
Let's say that this fanfic shows a bit about what Juvia really feels for Lyon and Gray.
It will be about the feelings of Lyon and Gray for Juvia, their rivalry, their past, their friendship.
There will be Gray and Lyon Brotp, Gajuvia Brotp, of course, and the friendship of Erza, Cana, and Mirajane with Gruvia.
Let's say there will be a bit of everything.
There are six chapters in total, I'll translate them little by little when I can publish them. Sometimes I feel like I have a double life! Hahaha! Right now I'm writing another story in Italian about Juvia's past in Phantom and meanwhile I intend to translate the fanfics that I have already written little by little to publish them all, I hope!
Obviously, there will be mentionings and space for the other pairings and other characters, but these three will be the protagonists.
I also want to tell you that this fanfic was originally just one chapter, the next one specifically, but I realized that I needed something more, so I made more chapters for this.
That said, I hope you like it.
Thank you to Botan G for translating it.
Thank you to all those who read, those who comment, and those who find this idea interesting.
Until next time.
Gruvia Silver.
