Disclaimer ~ I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Prompt: Skull pops his fingers and wrists
"Hah! I bet you couldn't hurt me if you tried," Colonello said laughing. Skull felt his irritation at the rain spike. Really? Colonello was saying that of all things to Skull? Oh it was on. Challenge fucking accepted.
Honestly, Skull wasn't sure how they got to this point. It began with some stupid argument, he knew that much, but he couldn't figure out how it turned into this particular argument. Regardless of how it happened, Colonello just issued a direct challenge to Skull. And Skull never backed down from a challenge. That's how he became a stuntman and a part of this ragtag group.
Skull gave a final growl to Colonello before storming to his room. He needed to plan. First, he would wait. Bide his time until Colonello least expected it. That's when Skull would strike.
He already knew exactly what he would do to win this bet. It was his bad habit that gave Skull the idea. He had been doing it for so long that he didn't feel a thing anymore, but when he first started out it hurt like a bitch. It was perfect.
In a fight, Colonello would definitely beat Skull without gaining a scratch. Skull knew that and wasn't ashamed to admit it. He was severely inexperienced compared to everyone else. But see, Colonello didn't say anything about them fighting. All Skull had to do was inflict pain on Colonello and he'd win.
For the next three days Skull waited for the perfect opportunity to strike. He acted exactly as he would normally, acting as if he had forgotten they even had that stupid argument. Colonello was fooled, probably not even realizing that he had directly challenged Skulk at all. His ignorance wouldn't save him. Skull was petty like that.
Skull's perfect moment came that afternoon, as the group was setting up for their weekly movie night. Reborn was in the kitchen preparing the drinks and snacks. Luche had gone to fetch Verde from his lab. Afterwards, she'd collect Viper from their room. Out of all of them, Luche would have the easiest time getting both of them there without a fight. That left Lal, Colonello, Fon, and Skull to get the living room set up for movie night.
"Hey Colonello-senpai! I wanna show you this cool trick I learned recently!" Skull said cheerfully to Colonello after dropping the mountain of blankets he was in charge of collecting. Fon followed behind him with an equally absurd amount of pillows that was also swiftly discarded to the floor.
"Sure Skull. What's the trick?" Colonello asked, indulging the cloud. If Skull was kept happy then he was less likely to talk the whole movie.
"First I need your hand," Skull said. Lal and Fon moved closer to watch as Colonello placed his hand in Skull's. Skull absentmindedly registered Reborn entering the room with the trays of snacks as he began his explanation.
"Okay so what you want to do is just press down gently until," Skull was cut off with a loud POP emanating from Colonello's finger.
Colonello yelped in pain, snatching his hand away and holding it close to him. Skull smiled victoriously as Lal gave a small snort of laughter. A glance to the other two showed both of them smiling in their own ways.
"What the hell Skull? What was that for?" Colonello yelled. Skull shrugged.
"You bet I couldn't hurt you if I tried. I won," Skull said. He was very proud of himself.
"You did good, Lackey," Reborn said, patting Skull's head once in praise. That had Skull practically glowing for the rest of the night, much to the confusion of Luche, Verde, and Viper. They had missed the whole exchange and Colonello wouldn't let them tell. That was fine. They'd find out as soon as Colonello wasn't in earshot.
And an added bonus to this that Skull especially loved? Skull got to see Fon squirm uncomfortably every time Skull would crack all his knuckles loudly in his vicinity. So far, it was the only thing that had ever broken Fon's serene personality. Skull relished in the fact that he was the cause. Today was a good day indeed.
Hey everyone! So I'm going to be doing Skull Centered Ideas a little bit differently this time around. All the chapters that follow the same theme, such as the Proof of an Immortal chapters, will be posted in a separate fic. I'm doing this mainly because I want to keep those that follow the same general plot together, while this fic be the unconnected oneshots. All of them will still be apart of the SCI series though. The chapters will be written in a pretty random order since I just kinda pick one to work on at random from my list.
And since I'm posting the new stories now, I went ahead and changed my username. I posted the AN to give you all some warning before I did but now that its been over 24 hours, I figured it was time. That...and I was getting impatient. Waiting is NOT my strong suit.
That's all from me. I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter! Please Follow/Favorite/Review! I have one more chapter for you all that I'll post shortly after this one
