It is known far and wide that Raichu's electric charges can cause even a Copperajah to faint, often by people with no idea what is so remarkable about this fact. War Copperajah were long known as the pokemon of kings, a species used in warfare far beyond their native regions, for their thick bulk and steel bodies rendered them nigh-invincible on the battlefield. Modern pokemon battles, which are fought at most as 3-on-3, do not convey an accurate sense of what a Copperajah carrying a miniature fortress of archers, supported by screeners to keep away surprise attacks from fire and ground pokemon, could do to its enemies.

Copperajah are not the only elephantine pokemon to fear rodents – similar legends are told about Donphan – but a Raichu's very presence could send them into such a panic, turning on their own allies, that some trainers declined to attack. "Steel" pokemon (or "metal" as they are alternately known) is a broad category, and copper among the finest conductors of electricity, so anti-Copperajah defense tactics relied on the deployment of electric rodents. And while a sufficiently large chain of Plusle and Minun or agile Emolga in the jungle sometimes did the job, for raw power it was impossible to beat Raichu.

Gigantamax Copperajah is unknown in its native land, for dynamax energy is a Galarian phenomenon, but the political power of the Galar East India Company was not solely the result of bribe money. It was the force of this fierce battle, not the ravages of time, which cracked Galar's famous murals. Although Zacian and its associated king won the day over Zamazenta and Copperajah, he learned after his victory to never again take its trainers lightly, and his heirs followed that advice down to the revolution – when two foolish kings did otherwise.
