A couple of weeks have passed since the incident with Garlic Jr. Piccolo was training in a desolate wasteland. Piccolo's eyes widened in shock when he sensed a very powerful ki heading towards him. "W-What kind of power is this? It couldn't possibly be...Goku?" He quickly turned around and saw a large, muscular man with long spikey black hair, wearing brown battle armor and boots and gloves. He landed in front of Piccolo, who grew tense by the strange man. "It's not him." Piccolo murmured to himself.
"You're not Kakarot." The man frowned.
"Who are you? Do you have some sort of business with me?" Piccolo asked him.
"I don't have any business with the likes of you." He told Piccolo. Piccolo growled.
"What's that supposed to mean? Do you want to die?"
The man laughed. "You're sure high and mighty. Ho...energy level of 322. So, there are folks like you around, huh? However, you are no match for me."
"What did you say? Do you know who it is you're talking to here!?" Piccolo shouted, angrily.
"Not really." Piccolo's eyes widened.
"W-What is the deal with this guy's power?" He gritted his teeth. Piccolo quickly unleashed a ki blast directly at the alien, making contact. Piccolo smirked. Take that. The dust and smoke cleared. Piccolo's mouth dropped in shock to find out that the man had not only survived his attack but also had dodged it without a scratch on him.
"That was a worthless technique, huh? Is merely kicking up the dust all it can do?" He asked Piccolo. Piccolo felt his body starting to tremble a little, clenching his fists. It felt like his feet was stone completely frozen in place as he was paralyzed in fear.
"Now, it's my turn. Let me show you a sample of my power." The man smirked.
Piccolo gasped as he saw the man was beginning to summon on energy blast from his hand, getting ready to attack him. But he stopped and looked at his radar as something appeared on the visor. "There's another great power here. And another?" Piccolo backed up as he saw the man jump into the air as he flew up, searching around for the source.
"Huh, it's gone. But there's one...range: 12909. It's large...the largest power on the planet. This time for sure, it's Kakarot!" He took of leaving Piccolo behind. Piccolo fell to his knees on the ground, his hands trembling a little. He gritted his teeth, angry with himself.
"T-This is ridiculous! I-I was shaking so much I couldn't move!"
Ocarin smiled as she saw Piccolo on the plateau and waved as she flew up behind him. "Avishta, Piccolo!" Piccolo fired a ki blast at her. Ocarin quickly moved out of the way. She put her hands up in defense, when she saw that Piccolo was very on edge. Piccolo panted, slightly lowering his hand but still kept his eyes on Ocarin. "Calm down. It's me."
"What are you doing here? Did Kami sent you to spy on me?" Piccolo spatted out at her bitterly.
"I was in the neighborhood. Does it really matter? What if I just wanted to see you?" Ocarin shrugged. Piccolo raised an eye, staring at her, silently. See him? Why? Why would she want to see someone like him? "So, what's gotten you so worked up?" Piccolo stared at her, seeing that she hadn't been affected at all by that man's energy levels.
"Did you not sense that guy's power?" Piccolo questioned her. Ocarin blinked.
"Well, yeah, but it's not that big of a deal. Seems pretty normal to me. Well, normalish. He was screaming something about Kakarot a lot." She rambled as explained told him. Piccolo's eyes widened in shock.
She's not even fazed by that amount of energy levels. Just what is she?!
"Piccolo?" He ignored her and turned back in the direction where the man had taken off. He needed to find out about this strange visitor. He was going to interfere with his plans. Piccolo flew off leaving Ocarin behind as he followed after him.
"Hey wait up!" Ocarin called out, flying after Piccolo.
Raditz showed up and took down Goku and Krillin. Master Roshi and Bulma watched unable to do anything to help. They were terrified by the alien's large amount of strength and energy, along with Goku and Krillin who were stunned by it. He explained to Goku about their Saiyan heritage. A race bent on taking over other worlds and conquering them. He revealed to Goku that his real name was Kakarot and that Goku was actually one of hem and that he was Goku's older brother. After refusing to join his group, Raditz kidnapped Gohan. He ordered Goku to kill a hundred humans in exchange for his son's life and left with him.
Goku could only watch, helpless, laying on his back and winded, as he saw his older brother flew off with his son. Goku, along with Krillin, Master Roshi, and Bulma were at the Kame house trying to come up with a plan. "All right! We'll launch a surprise attack on our own! He wouldn't possibly think that we would attack him so his guard should be down." Goku spoke.
"But we don't know where he is." Krillin replied.
"Bulma, do you have the Dragon Radar with you?" Goku asked her.
"That's right! The ornament at the top of Gohan's hat was a Dragon ball!" She pulled out the radar and Goku, Krillin and Roshi all gathered around looking at it, seeing the four-star ball moving on the screen. "Found it! It's moving at tremendous speed! It's stopped! Thank goodness! He's not out in space, he's still on Earth!"
"All right let's go! It's all or nothing! I'm coming, Gohan!" Goku shouted.
"R-Right! Maybe we can win this! The possibility is slim, though..." Krillin agreed nervously.
"If we're going to be killed either way, it's better than standing here and doing nothing!" Master Roshi nodded.
"He's too much for you to handle!" Piccolo shouted.
"Piccolo!" Everyone exclaimed in shock and in fear seeing him. Goku's eyes widened, seeing Ocarin next to Piccolo.
"O-Ocarin!?"
"Hey, Goku! Your son got kidnapped again?" She joked. Goku frowned, looking at Piccolo as he landed in front of him. Ocarin landed between them.
"What are you doing here?" Goku questioned.
"I followed him here." Piccolo answered.
"You've already met him?"
"That's right. If you go with those two guys, you won't be able to defeat him." Piccolo explained. "That is why I am coming with you."
"I just here for the ride. I just want to see what the big deal is." Ocarin replied.
"Big deal? Did you not even sense his energy levels!?" Krillin exclaimed, looking at her.
"Yeah, I did. But he doesn't seem that strong to me." Ocarin said. Master Roshi frowned, looking at her silently.
"He has extraordinary strength! He's an opponent that neither you nor I can stand up to. However...if you and I were to team up, then there is a slight possibility that we can beat him." Piccolo spoke.
"Just what has come over you, Piccolo?" Goku asked.
"Don't get me wrong. It's not as though I have become awakened to peace. I don't care what happens to your son, either. It's just that he stands in the way of world domination that I am after!" Piccolo growled. "We'll team up, but once we've taken care of him and his two pals, I'm going to defeat you and this time, I intend to take over the world for sure!"
"I won't let you do that!" Goku shouted. "I won't let you do that, but up through that part where we team up, that's a good idea. Looks like there ain't any other way, huh?" He looked over at Ocarin. "And we have the extra firepower as well. We can definitely defeat him!"
"That's right! We'll just have to put up with it." Piccolo agreed.
"Aw, you're being too nice, Goku!" Ocarin smiled. Piccolo growled.
"As far as I am concerned, teaming up with you makes me want to puke!"
"Bulma, let me borrow your Dragon Radar." Goku replied.
"O-Okay!" Bulma nodded. She tossed him the radar and Goku caught it. He hopped on to nimbus.
"You think you two can keep up the speed of nimbus?" He asked Piccolo and Ocarin.
"Of course!" Ocarin told feeling a little insulted.
"Don't be assured! My own technique's a little different from that pathetic cloud of yours." Piccolo smirked.
"We're going too!" Krillin shouted.
"This is going to be an amazing spectacle!" Master Roshi shouted.
Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin flew as they headed towards the location of the four-star ball, shown on the Dragon Ball Radar, to rescue Gohan. "We're getting close! I think we'd better descend pretty soon." Goku told Piccolo and Ocarin.
"That won't work! We're better off going in like this." Piccolo said.
"How come?" Ocarin asked.
"He's using a strange device. It appears to be able to clearly tell the position and even the strength of the target." Piccolo explained.
"So how accurate are these devices?" Ocarin asked him.
"You mean, he's probably already sensed that we're closing in on him, too?" Goku frowned.
"It stands to reason that he already knows." Piccolo replied.
"Really? Well, that means that the only thing we can do is attack him head on!" Goku shouted.
In an open field, Raditz was munching down on a fruit as he waited. In a large crater, Gohan was trapped inside of the Saiyan's shuttle. Then something picked up on the Saiyan's device. "They're already here? One...two...three...power levels of 322 and 334 and 500. One of them is the same as Kakarot's energy. But there's no way he would be coming here. He has to know that there's close to zero chance of him winning. And he doesn't know where I am in the first place. I've had it. This thing's completely malfunctioning." His eyes widened as he sensed three power levels arriving from behind him. Raditz quickly turned around, seeing Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin flying towards him. "It can't be! He's here!"
Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin landed a few feet in front of Raditz. The Saiyan glanced over and Piccolo and Ocarin.
"So that's it. You're the other two, huh?" He asked. "How did you know of this place?"
"You expect us to tell you!?" Goku shouted, angrily. Raditz chuckled darkly.
"Very well. I'll ask a different question then. What the hell have you come here for?"
"It's obvious, isn't it! I'm here to get my son back!" Goku stated. Gohan's eyes widen and he stopped crying, hearing his father's voice and saw him standing above the crater.
"It's daddy!" He exclaimed, happily.
"Which means, even though you may be Saiyan like us, you don't want to join our group?" Raditz asked.
"Give me back my son!" Goku demanded.
"Then you intend to defy your brother?" Raditz glared at him, disappointed.
"I don't have a brother." Goku glared back at him.
"Kakarot, I thought you'd be more sharp-witted. To think you'd be as foolish as this, you disappoint me. Don't tell me you've made the ridiculous determination, that as if the three of you attack me, you would actually win!" Raditz shouted.
"Yep!" Ocarin bluntly replied.
"That's enough of your tiresome drivel. Are we going to talk or fight?" Piccolo growled taking his turban and cape off and tossed them on the ground. "It's been a while since I've felt this light."
"His energy level has gone up to 408!"
"I see. So, you've been desperately training yourself, too, huh?" Goku asked him, taking off his weighted clothing as well. "It's nice to be able to fight as allies like this for the time being."
"Maybe now we can have ourselves a little bit better of a fight." Piccolo replied.
"Kakarot is now 416."
"Let's see who can take him down first." Ocarin smirked. Goku chuckled. "You're on!"
"Her energy level is now 705."
"You guys think you've gotten stronger by doing that?" Raditz laughed.
"What?!" Goku and Piccolo exclaimed in shock. Ocarin frowned, wondering. What did he mean by that?
"Don't make me laugh!" Raditz laughed evilly. "To think that you would stroll on in here with that kind of energy! This is what they mean when they say you don't know your place"
"Just being stronger in a fight isn't everything!" Goku shouted. "Because we've got a strategy!"
"I've had enough of your smart-mouth. Kakarot, I've decided not to let you join our group any longer. You would just slow us down. You're a disgrace to our family! Die!" Raditz quickly vanished before their eyes and darted at Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin. He appeared behind them, kicking, Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin in the back, knocking them away. Goku, Piccolo and Ocarin stumbled as they tried to get their bearings, steadying back onto their feet.
"He's fast! What speed!" Goku gaped in shock.
"And he came at us head on! For him to get behind us in that one moment!" Piccolo gaped as well in shock.
"Just how fast are these Saiyans?" Ocarin frowned, looking at Raditz.
"Your defense at least appears to hold up. However, your demise are only a matter of time now. Little by little, I'm going to increase the strength of my attacks!" Raditz told them.
"T-To think that the difference in our levels would be this great!" Piccolo gritted his teeth.
"Somehow, I have to grab his tail and make his power drop!" Goku thought as he began to think of a plan. Ocarin glanced over at the two warriors, seeing the concerned expression on their faces. She glanced back over at Raditz who had a smug smirk on his face.
"Piccolo and Goku seem really tense. I don't get it. This guy is nothing."
"It's hopeless! No matter what strategy you may come up with, there's no way you can beat me!" Raditz shouted at them. "I know, why don't I let you in on something good before you die?"
"And what's that?" Ocarin questioned. Goku and Piccolo wondered as well. Raditz smirk began more malicious.
"The two other Saiyans besides me who are still alive have even higher energy levels than I do!"
