During the past six months that had gone by, the Z fighters, Yamcha, Krillin, Tien and Chiaotzu have been training at Kami's lookout. Goku had made it to King Kai's place and was continuing his training with him. To their surprise, Goku told Master Roshi, Bulma and Krillin not to bring him back to life until the Saiyans had arrived and when he was finished with his training with King Kai.

In the isolated wastelands, Gohan yawned as he woke up. He heard his stomach growling and stood up. "Time for breakfast!" He grabbed a coconut bowl and used his ki to hop down from the tall mountain and landed on the ground. He walked over to a tree and punched it, making it rain down berry like grapes. Gohan giggled as he quickly tried to catch them in his coconut bowl until it was filled up. He smiled and sat down on top of a rock and began to gobble it down. As he ate, Gohan heard thundering footsteps approaching from behind him. He leaned back and saw the same t-rex that had chased and tried to eat him.

"You again. You up for some more?" Gohan asked. The dinosaur let out an angry roar, chasing after Gohan as he ran from it. Gohan hopped along the rocks in the plateau and ran up one then flipped over the dinosaur. The creature crashed it's head into the mountain, knocking itself out. Gohan landed behind, beside the dinosaur's tail that was half chopped off. Gohan took out his sword and sliced a piece off of it.

"Hey, you're going to run out of tail if you keep this up." He told the dinosaur. Gohan started up a fire and roasted the meat, cooking it. Standing above Gohan while he was eating, Piccolo was watching the entire time. He smirked. "He's improving faster than I've thought."

"I wonder where Mister Piccolo is? Six months are up and he's not here." Gohan mumbled as he chopped down on the dino meat. Suddenly, Gohan was zapped from behind and he fell on the ground. Gohan got up and his eyes widen when he saw Piccolo looking down at him, with his arms crossed.

"It's time for your training to begin." He smirked darkly. Gohan gulped nervously and got up.

"Okay, what are we going to learn?" He asked Piccolo.

"We're going to learn how to manage to control your ki while fighting." He told Gohan. Before Gohan could react, Piccolo charged at him and kicked Gohan to the side, knocking him to the ground. The two continued to spar all day long, mostly Gohan getting beat up and tossed around and falling into the river. Gohan coughed up some water as he crawled out.

"Get up! We don't have time for that!" Piccolo barked. Gohan groaned, feeling his right eye starting to sting. A bruise beginning to form and starting to swell.

"Can't we rest for just a little bit?" Gohan asked.

"No, we can't! You think those Saiyans are going to rest when they get here?" Piccolo shouted. Gohan got up and lunged at Piccolo throwing some kicks and punches. Piccolo dodged them then started to throw back more punches and kicks at Gohan. Gohan dodged them. "What's wrong with you!? You can't defeat your enemy just by dodging him!" Piccolo shouted. Gohan charged at him again from the air and Piccolo fired his eye beams, hitting him. Gohan fell on the ground, not moving. Piccolo slowly began to panic. "Oh no! Did I hit him too hard?!" He blinked as he saw Gohan getting up.

"That's not fair. You said that you wouldn't use your eyes." Gohan whined.

"Don't be stupid! Do you think that your enemy is going to keep his promise when you're fighting him?" Piccolo replied. Gohan looked down. "But Mister Piccolo, you're not the bad guy." Piccolo's eyes blinked in surprise. Then something hard kicked Piccolo from behind, sending him towards Gohan. Gohan let out a started yelp, quickly moving out of the way as Piccolo landed next to him. Piccolo growled as he got up, sensing the familiar energy. Gohan's eyes widen, seeing Ocarin standing in front of them, waving.

"Hey, you two! It's been a while, hasn't it?" She smiled then turned to Piccolo who tossed his weighted turban and cape to the ground, cracking his knuckles.

"Do you know that if you cause pain to me that Kami feels it too." Piccolo smirked, darkly.

On the Lookout, Kami fell to his knees holding his butt painfully, while Mr. Popo was panicking beside him. "Damn it, Ocarin."

Ocarin smiled. "I know. I told you that I wasn't going to hold back." Her expression turned more serious. "Let's see how our training went, shall we?" The two got into a fighting stance and Gohan quickly backed up, so he wouldn't get caught in the middle of the fight and hopped on a rock to watch. Piccolo and Ocarin stared at each other, neither one making a move. Then Piccolo quickly charged at Ocarin appearing right in front of her, throwing fast punches and kicks. Gohan blinked in awe, unable to see what was happening as the two were disappearing all over the place. Ocarin quickly dodged them before Piccolo managed to land a punch on her cheek. Ocarin was knocked back a few feet away from him. She stood up, wiping her lip and narrowed her eyes at Piccolo.

"What's the matter? Is that all you got? I'm just starting to get warmed up." He taunted. Ocarin smirked.

"Let's take this fight to the air." She told him. Piccolo frowned. "Fine by me." The two flew up, facing each other. Ocarin flew straight at Piccolo throwing multiple punches and kicks. Piccolo dodged them until Ocarin landed a hard punch into Piccolo's stomach. She quickly grabbed Piccolo's leg and started to swing him around, flinging Piccolo into the river. He crashed into it with a big splash. Gohan's eyes widen in shock.

"Mister Piccolo!" He cried out. Ocarin landed landed to far from him, panting, bracing her hands at her side.

"Give him a minute." She told Gohan. Gohan blinked in confusion. Suddenly, a loud rush of water erupted from the river as Piccolo shot out of it. He landed in front of Ocarin and Gohan, panting.

"Not bad. It appears that we are at a stalemate." She smirked at Piccolo.

"For now." He told her.

"Don't be a sore loser. It's a win-win for the both of us." She told him. Piccolo felt his cheeks and ears started to burn. Ocarin saw that they had a slight purplish tint to them and chuckled. Piccolo growled and walked over to his weighted clothes putting them back on.

Nighttime had finally fall in the sky as stars shined above. Gohan, Piccolo and Ocarin sat down next to a fire, to rest for the night. Ocarin was eating a roasted lizard. She handed one over to Gohan who took it from her. Then she handed one over to Piccolo, who didn't take it.

"It's really good." Ocarin tempted him.

"I don't need to eat." He told her. Ocarin raised on eye at his words.

"Really? Then how come I've seen Kami eat from time to time. I know that he usually only needs a water diet, but he does eat." She replied.

"Does it look like I know!?" Piccolo growled at her. Ocarin cringed, feeling a little bad. He probably doesn't know. In fact, Kami doesn't really know either. He doesn't know what he is or where he came from, just like her. He just told her that he was just fitting in since her and Mr. Popo eat food.

"Sorry." She apologized. "Listen, I know that you and Kami don't like talking about your past but it's good to open up about it. I like to get to know you." Piccolo's eyes widen a little in shock before frowning. There's nothing to tell. He grunted, looking away from her then looked over at Gohan.

Gohan groaned holding his swollen eye, painfully. Piccolo smirked. "Looks like you at least cured yourself of being a crybaby over the last half-year, huh?"

"Mister Piccolo, you fought with my father a long time ago, right?" Gohan asked him.

"Our fight is far from over. If we're able to defeat the Saiyans, your father is next." Piccolo spoke.

"But dad told me that ever since you were reborn, you don't seem to be the same terrible evil person you were before. I kind of think so, too. But my mom and grandpa are still afraid of you, though. So, what about you? Do you have any family?" Gohan asked him. Piccolo gritted his teeth angrily, growing more irritated.

"Stop talking nonsense. It's complicated. Just get to sleep! Tomorrow, we won't have that kind of gentle training we did today!" He shouted. Gohan cringed before rolling on his side, laying down.

"R-Right." He meekly replied.

"I'm going to turn in to. It's been a pretty fun day." Ocarin smiled. She turned to Piccolo, who was still sitting with his arms crossed. "Goodnight, Piccolo." He didn't answer her. Ocarin yawned and laid down, eventually fell asleep. Piccolo silently watched Ocarin and Gohan as they slept, the night getting longer. He didn't feel tired. In fact, he never did. Instead, he meditates but it's not the same thing. He didn't really need sleep like the people and creatures on Earth. Just what was he?!

"Damn it." Piccolo growled.

He looked over at Gohan and Ocarin who was silently sleeping. Piccolo moved closer over to them. These two were the only ones who didn't treat him like a monster. They treated him like a person. Piccolo reached out hand petted Gohan on his head. He stirred in sleep, mumbling sleepily. Piccolo turned to Ocarin and brushed his hand in her hair. Piccolo tensed up when she moved, dropping her arm on his lap. Piccolo began to panic. If he moved now, he would wake her up.

Piccolo sighed, staying where he was and began to meditate, while Ocarin and Gohan slept.
