The battle between Goku and Vegeta came to a close when Vegeta was landed with a serious injury. Before Krillin could land the killing blow, Goku asked Krillin to spare the Saiyan so Vegeta could change. Piccolo did, so why couldn't he. Goku knew that it would be a foolish choice that would come back to bite him, but he didn't care. Vegeta was a perfect rival for him. Hesitant, Krillin let Vegeta go. The Saiyan escaped in his spaceship and flew into deep space leaving the Earth. The Earth was saved for now but at a cost of the Z fighters, Tien, Chiaotsu, Yamcha and Piccolo. With Piccolo dead, so was Kami and the Dragon balls were no longer inert. However, there was no way to bring them back with only one option: Namek's Dragon balls. Surprisingly, to everyone from the news that King Kai told them telepathically, the Namekians had managed to survive after all this time from an unknown devastating climate change that nearly wiped them all out.

But how would they get there? There was no spaceship fast enough to get there. They needed to come up with another plan. Bulma drove her spacecraft, with Chichi, Master Roshi inside, to pick up Goku, Krillin and Gohan to take them to the hospital. Krillin and Master Roshi helped to gather up the bodies of the fallen Z fighters placing them in glass coffins. Chichi was with Gohan the entire time refusing to let him go. While everyone was busy, Gohan and Goku noticed that Ocarin was nowhere to be found.

She had quietly retreated back to the Lookout. As Ocarin landed, she felt her heart drop, no longer sensing Kami anywhere in it. He was really gone. She ignored Mr. Popo as she walked past him when he came running out to see her glad to see that she was alright. The genie watched in concern and worry as he saw Ocarin slip into her room, not coming out. One, two, three days have passed, and she still hadn't come back out. She did not eat anything but did sleep and drink, but it was very little. Mr. Popo came back with a plate with a sandwich for lunch, only to see that she still hadn't touched the one for breakfast. He sat the plate down and turned back over to the bed where Ocarin was laying on. She had the covers pulled over her, curled up into a ball. The genie slowly walked over, now standing beside the bed, looking down at her.

"Ocarin, get up."

"What's the point. The Dragon balls are gone. Kami's gone. Piccolo's gone. We have no way to get to Planet Namek." Ocarin muttered.

"There might be a way." Mr. Popo pointed out. Ocarin frowned.

"Stop lying."

"Mr. Popo does not lie. You wanted to know about Kami's past do you not." Mr. Popo replied. Ocarin's eyes widened. She pulled the covers off of her and slowly sat up, looking at the genie.

"Eat first then come with me. We are going to Goku and his friends." He spoke and walked out, leaving her alone. Ocarin struggled to take a few bites from her sandwich, eating it before she joined up with Mr. Popo outside the Lookout. He was standing on his flying carpet, waiting. Ocarin climbed on and the genie teleported them to the hospital where Goku and the others were. From the window, they saw Krillin by the window, talking to Bulma along with everyone else, wondering what to do.

"Hello." Mr. Popo said, surprising everyone.

"Mr. Popo! Ocarin!" Krillin shouted.

"Are you doing alright? You just left without a word." Goku asked, worried. He was in a hospital bed that looked like a cocoon, completely wrapped up in bandages like a mummy. Gohan and Krillin had bandages on them as well. Krillin had a broken arm and head injury while Gohan had a bandage taped to his cheek, one wrapped around his head and on his arms.

"I'm fine. Like you said, I just needed some rest, so I went back to the Lookout." Ocarin told him. Goku blinked but brushed it off.

"I need someone to come with me. There's a spaceship." Mr. Popo said. Ocarin blinked as she looked at him. A spaceship? Everyone looked at him surprised as well.

"A-A spaceship? You really have one, Popo?" Krillin sputtered, surprised.

"Probably." the genie replied.

"What do you mean "probably"?" Krillin asked.

"I don't really know what it is. A spaceship. But Mr. Popo does not know for sure. I need someone to come with me to check. I will show the way." Mr. Popo explained.

"Bulma!" Krillin called out to her. Bulma's eyes widened and pointed to herself.

"M-Me?"

"Well, Bulma, nobody else would know if it's a spaceship or not except you. You're the smart one." Krillin told her. Bulma glanced over at Mr. Popo, seeing him staring at her with wide eyes.

"Would I be alright? I mean, he does have a strange look in his eye." Bulma cringe, looking Mr. Popo as he continued to stare at her with wide eyes, waiting.

"Mr. Popo always does that. He wouldn't harm a butterfly unless provoked. So, are we going or not? We're attracting too much attention." Ocarin spoke. The two were attracting attention from other patrons, doctors and nurses in the hospital, who were looking out the windows shocked to see Ocarin and Mr. Popo floating in midair on a flying carpet. Bulma inched towards the window and slowly crawled out, climbing onto the genie's carpet.

"I'm gonna fall! I'm going to die!" Bulma screamed.

"Bulma, you're not going to fall as long as you stay still." Ocarin told her. The scientist grabbed onto Ocarin's leg, scared to move. "W-What are you doing!?"

"That's easy for you to say!" Bulma retorted.

"We're counting on you, Bulma!" Krillin grinned as he waved goodbye.

"Hey you, be careful. I'm not like those guys. I'm delicate, okay?" Bulma told Mr. Popo.

"Let's go." Mr. Popo replied.

"Hey, wait! I'm not ready!" Bulma shouted. Then the genie teleported the three of them away, disappearing. The flying carpet finally came to a stop in a plateau of some sort with many cliffs and mountains. Ocarin shivered feeling the cold air breeze through her thin clothes.

"Here, we are." the genie said.

"Already?" Bulma asked surprised.

"This place, I can't put my finger on it but, it feels familiar." Ocarin said.

"What is this place? It's freezing." Bulma shivered.

"Yunzabit Heights." Mr. Popo told the two women.

"Yunzabit?! But that's at the ends of the Earth! We came this far in an instant?" Bulma exclaimed, shocked.

"Follow me. I think it's this way." Mr. Popo hopped down from the carpet and began to walk away, leading Bulma and Ocarin through the windy crevices of the mountains.

"Wait! You say that there's a spaceship somewhere around here?" Bulma shouted. "Hey! Are you even listening to me!?" the genie didn't respond as he continued walking until he stopped a dead-end cliff. He turned around facing Bulma and Ocarin. "I don't like that look in your eyes. What are you planning to do!?" Bulma demanded. Mr. Popo turned around and started hopping up the rocky cliff as the two girls watched. "Wait a minute!"

"It's up here."

"Are you kidding me? I can't do that!" Bulma shouted. Mr. Popo ignored and continued on ahead, leaving them. "You jerk."

"Need some help?" Ocarin asked. Bulma climbed onto her back and Ocarin carried her piggyback style as she hopped up the slopes, following behind Mr. Popo. Once she reached the top, Ocarin set Bulma back down. The two saw the genie in front of them as he pointed out towards something.

"This is it." Mr. Popo pointed out. It was a large white structure that looked like an insect of some sort, with pointed spikes with large bulbous windows.

"It looks like some kind of pod." Ocarin replied.

"Is this a spaceship?" Mr. Popo asked.

"I'll have to examine it." Bulma walked over to the strange structure, studying it. "What is this? It's not metal. Tell me what this is, exactly!" She looked back to Mr. Popo. Ocarin looked at him, wondering as well.

"Kami told Mr. Popo about it from the stories when he was very young. It's hard to remember. The last time that he told me was over a 100 years ago. But I'll do my best to recall what I can. One day not too long after lunch, Kami began telling me about his mysterious past. When he was a child, he used to live in Yunzabit Heights. It was very cold and lonely." the genie spoke as he explained his story to them.

"Why would he live here?" Ocarin asked.

"He told me that he didn't know. He told me that he was in a strange accident and lost his memory." Mr. Popo replied.

"That's awful. Then what happened next?" Bulma asked.

"Kami told me that he remained here, waiting for his parents to return, staring out into the distant skies. He was certain that someone would come looking for him. He stayed where he was, fearing that if he wandered too far no one would be able to find him. So, he stayed, patiently waiting the arrival of his salvation. But they never came. Days lead into weeks, weeks lead into months, and months lead to years. After many years had passed, he left Yunzabit Heights. Every now and then, he would sometimes return to check, but he would never find any sign. That is until he found..."

"Found what?" Ocarin asked.

"You." Ocarin's eyes widened in shock.

"M-Me? What do you mean?"

"Kami told me that the very last time that he went back to check. He found you next to this spaceship. He told me that it was as if someone wanted him to find you. They knew that he would keep coming back. He brought you back to the Lookout, and well, you know the rest." Mr. Popo finished.

"That's so sad. But what does this have to do with this ship?" Bulma asked.

"During his time here, he found this ship. When he examined it, a word appeared in his head. If he spoke this word aloud a door would open. "Piccolo." Both of the girls' eyes widened in shock when a small door opened from the ship. It began floating as it levitated down onto the ground in front of the group.

"It opened!" Bulma shouted.

"Get on." Mr. Popo hopped onto the platform. Ocarin and Bulma crawled onto it joining him.

"This is where Kami lived." Ocarin murmured.

"Say it again and it will close. "Piccolo." The door platform lifted the three back up to the ship.

"If you look closely, it isn't really a house, but rather a spaceship." Mr. Popo said.

"That's right! Kami is a Namekian! King Kai said that Planet Namek went through some abnormal weather, and they were nearly wiped out." Bulma said.

"Mr. Popo also heard him as well. That is what made me think of this." Mr. Popo spoke.

"This is why you wanted to bring me here." Ocarin replied.

"If this is really a spaceship, then your story earlier would indeed check out." Bulma replied.

"When Planet Namek was dying, Kami's parents put him aboard and sent him to Earth." Mr. Popo told them.

"His parents meant to escape to, when they were able to, but there was some kind of accident. They never came. This has to be it! No matter what you look at this, it doesn't' seem like a house. This has to be a spaceship! But even so, how do we operate it?" Bulma asked. She began pressing the buttons on the small panel, but nothing happened.

"Maybe it's like the door." Ocarin pointed out. Bulma and Mr. Popo's eyes widened in surprise. "It's voice activated. Piccolo is a Namekian word, for another world. Maybe to turn it back on you have to speak Namekian."

"That has to be it!" Bulma agreed.

"So what do we say? "Piccolo?" the genie asked. Bulma shook her head.

"That's the password for the door to open." She looked back to the control panel, speaking into it. "Fly! Can you hear me?" The ship didn't come on. Bulma sighed, slumping back into the seat. "It's no use. It will only work if someone speaks Namekian. Back at the Tenkaichi Tournament, Kami and Piccolo spoke in that strange language as well. That must have been Namekian."

"Well, Kami taught me." Ocarin replied.

"Mr. Popo knows as well. I've heard Kami mumble in it from time to time. Like Ocarin said, "Piccolo" means "another world" That is why the password is for the door." the genie said.

"Well say something! Tell it to fly us somewhere!" Bulma smiled, excitedly. She pushed Ocarin over the panel.

"Where?" Ocarin asked her.

"Anywhere is fine! How about Jupiter?" Bulma told her. Ocarin leaned over towards the panel and spoke into it.

"Dorigelop crafca Jupiter." Some strange alien symbols appeared on the screen of the panel as it turned on.

"It says acknowledge." Mr. Popo read. Suddenly, the three of them was jerked back as they were knocked off of their feet. Ocarin and Mr. Popo were slammed onto the floor while Bulma fell back into the chair. The spacecraft took off at lightning speed, leaving Earth's orbit.

"No wonder Kami had an accident! This thing is too fast!" Ocarin cried out.

"Doesn't this thing have any seat belts?!" Bulma exclaimed. Then a white alien like toilet rose out from the floor beside her. "What's that thing!?"

"Just now, you said, "want to go toilet" in Namekian. You said seat belt, right?" Mr. Popo replied.

"This is too complicated! We have to be careful of what we say!" Bulma hissed. Then she was lifted out of the seat and placed onto a bed as it came out of the floor.

"Complicated" means "time for bed." the genie pointed out.

"We really need to watch what we say." Ocarin replied. Suddenly, the spacecraft came to an instant stop as it arrived in front of Jupiter. Bulma looked out the window in amazement.

"Incredible! It's Jupiter!" Bulma exclaimed.

"We finally have a spaceship!" Ocarin shouted. Bulma laughed and grabbed Ocarin's hands, the two jumping up and down with joy.

"We did it! We did it! We did it!"

"Thank goodness. Now Kami can come back to life." Mr. Popo smiled, wiping a tear from his eye.
