"Come on! Unless you want to die, get moving! I told you step further!" One of Frieza's men shoved one of the elders over to the others while the rest of Frieza's men surrounded them. The two children clinged to Moori's vests, staying close to him.
"Move it!"
Gohan and Krillin stayed put and watched from the edge of the cliff.
"What are they planning to do with the Namekians?" Krillin murmured.
"Krillin, are these guys Saiyans?" Gohan asked.
"No, they're not. They're wearing the same armor but they're not Saiyans. Besides, Vegeta is supposed to be the only remaining Saiyan. Not including Goku and yourself." He told Gohan.
Moori narrowed his eyes at Frieza as he smirked at them introducing himself. "My name is Frieza, and as you can see, I am gathering your so-called Dragon balls. Where are the others? According to our survey, there are supposed to ten of you here." Frieza asked the Namekian. Moori didn't answer and neither did the other elders as well. "You intend not to say anything, do you? I will kill you." Frieza lifted his finger emitting a small energy ball from it. The two children cried out, burying their faces into the elder Namekian's vest. Moori held them closer to him. "Now, I shall have your answer, please."
Moori made a low growl glaring at the tyrant then began to speak in Namekian but Frieza stopped him. "Not in Namekian. Speak to us in language that we can all understand. We know that you are able to speak it."
"T-The others are out working the fields. Only those of us who are elderly, or children remain here." Moori said. Frieza made a sickening smile which made Krillin's and Gohan's skin crawl.
"There you go. That wasn't so hard, was it? Tell me where the other Dragon balls are, and I will not do anything to you. I know that you have one here."
"I-I don't know. We don't have anything like that." Moori insisted. Frieza turned to the spikey purple alien.
"Dodoria?" He asked him.
"Yes, sir." Dodoria turned on his scouter and searched through it.
"As I recall, the second Namekian that we killed said something quite interesting, yes?"
"Yes." The spikey alien said. "We can only turn over our Dragon balls to those who we judge to be men of valor."
"Yes. He was very stubborn, too. I simply could not get him to cooperate with me, but then I killed one of them, to serve as a lesson to him." Frieza said. Moori's eyes widened in horror along with the other two elder Namekians standing with him.
"What?!" Moori gritted his teeth as his bared his fangs in anger at Frieza. Frieza smirked, evilly.
"Once I did, I got him to say all sorts of things. The seven Dragon balls were created by the Grand Elder of this world. Each of them is in the custody of one of seven elders. Each one is to engage in a contest of wits, a contest of strength and to ask the reason for one's wish. And once each elder judges you to be a man of valor, you are able to obtain their Dragon balls, so he told me. Well, I attempted to do as I was instructed, but he told me that he was absolutely unwilling to turn his over to me. I had no choice but to kill him."
"H-How could you do that!?" Moori sputtered. These men were truly evil. To think that they would slaughter several villages for their Dragon Balls. They had no honor.
"And so, it took some effort to find the first ball. The next three were easy. Everyone was very accommodating." Frieza told him.
"A-Accommodating you say. You are lying!" Moori shouted.
"T-That's right! There's no way the other Elders would obligingly hand over their Dragon balls to you!" One of the other elders shouted at Frieza as well.
"Oh, no, they became quite helpful once we did this. Zarbon, please show them." Frieza chuckled as he told another one of his henchmen with light blue skin and golden eyes, long green hair in a braided ponytail, wearing a tiara and earrings, light blue cape attached his armor, and he was also wearing pink arm warmers and dark blue leg warmers.
"Yes, sir." He stepped forward, inching closer towards the Namekians.
"Why, you!" One of the elders lunged out to attack him.
"No, don't!" Moori shouted. Suddenly, Dodoria's scouter beeped as it picked up an energy reading and Frieza noticed as well.
"Dodoria what is that?" He asked.
"I'm getting a strong energy reading over in that direction, lord Frieza." As Zarbon was inching closer towards the Namekians, a loud boom was heard echoing across the sky in a sonic boom. Krillin and Gohan sensed the energy as well, knowing that it was Ocarin.
"You. Go and take some of your men and scout out whatever caused that." Frieza ordered one of his soldiers. He nodded and gathered a few of his men and flew off. Moments passed before Frieza and his men, Gohan and Krillin and the Namekians, heard screams coming from the scouters as they were recorded.
"Frieza! Help us!"
"They're all over the place! Show yourself!" A loud boom erupted followed by the soldiers' cries of agony.
"We can't sense them! Help!-" The transmission was cut off as static emitted from the scouters. Frieza's eyes widened in shock as Dodoria and Zarbon. The horned alien clenched his fists tightly getting more tense.
"There's no way that someone can take them out so easily!" Dodoria shouted.
Suddenly, Ocarin's voice answered on the scouts' scouters, talking through it. "If you're this Frieza guy, I know that you're listening. I want you off of this planet now while you have the chance and leave the Namekians alone. This is your last and final warning. I am coming for you." Her voice echoed dangerously through the scouter in a dark threatening tone. The message ended as the sound of the scout's scouter was destroyed by being blasted. Frieza quickly turned to Zarbon.
"Get on with it!" He hissed.
Zarbon quickly appeared behind one of the elder Namekians and kicked him in the neck, breaking it. The elder was knocked back away from the others, collapsing on the ground. The other elder Namekian behind Zarbon, raised his claws in the air, just as he tried to strike at him with an energy beam. Zarbon jumped in the air and the beam hit one of the soldiers instead. Then Zarbon came back down, firing an beam back at the elder, blasting him with it. Moori quickly pushed the two children away putting them behind him, gasping in horror as the other elder fell on the ground.
"H-How could they do that!?" Krillin hissed.
"Those guys...!" Gohan growled.
"Gohan, control you ki, or they'll find us." Krillin stopped him.
"I can't take this!"
"Still, you want to bring Piccolo and everyone else back to life, right?" Krillin said. "These guys are strong we can't handle them. If we go rushing in there, we'll die, and all of this will be for nothing."
"How about it? Are you feeling a little more accommodating now?" Frieza laughed, his men laughing with him as well.
"What's your purpose in gathering the Dragon balls?" Moori demanded.
"Just a simple wish. I would like to obtain eternal life." Frieza replied.
"What!? Then he and Vegeta are both after eternal life?" Krillin questioned.
"Maybe, Vegeta isn't working with them after all." Gohan wondered.
"I don't know." Krillin said with uncertainty.
"I would not turn over the Dragon balls to the likes of you, even if it meant my own death!" Moori spatted at him.
"So, does that mean that you would choose death over handing it to me? I see. The people of this planet do seem to be quite stubborn. However, will you still be so stubborn after the death of those children?" Frieza pointed out. The two children clinged onto the elder Namekian's pants, looking at Frieza in fear. Moori's eyes widened, pushing them behind him.
"What!?" He exclaimed. "You wouldn't! They're just children, leave them out of this!"
"There's a strong power level. Freiza, over there!" Zarbon shouted and Frieza stopped his attack.
"They're here!" Moori smiled in relief. Everyone saw three warrior Namekians flying over to them and landed a few feet away from Frieza and Moori.
"Namekians!" Krillin shouted.
"They've come to save them!" Gohan smiled.
"Damn! Then our bad feeling turned out to be true!" One of the warrior Namekians glared at Frieza and his men, seeing their own people dead on the ground.
"This is trouble. here I was, just about to have the Dragon ball out to me when you interrupted your work just to come here to be killed." Frieza sighed.
"I see now. So, the rumors about someone attacking the other villages and taking the Dragon balls are true, aren't they?" Another Namekian warrior said. "You're going to pay for this!"
"Be careful fighting them! These guys are quite strong!" Moori warned them.
"Oh, you plan to fight? I wonder how much power they have. Dodoria?" Frieza asked him. Dodoria looked through his scouter as it scanned each of the three warrior Namekians. He chuckled.
"Please do not be discouraged, sir. All three are around 1000. We won't need to fight them." Moori's eyes widened. So that's how they've been doing it. This was how this monster and his men was finding each village! He figured it out now.
"What is this? You call that a power level of 1000?" Zarbon questioned. Most of Frieza's soldiers charged at the Namekian warriors. The three warriors took them out, scattering them everywhere, defeating the soldiers.
"What's going on here? All three of them have increased to 3000." Dodoria wondered as well.
"They fight pretty well, do they not?" Frieza said. "I've got it. The Namekians are a race that can control their power levels. That's not a type you see very often."
"Children, stand back from me." Moori told the two Namekian children, who looked up at him not wanting to leave him. "Go now!" The two took cover behind the hut.
"Dodoria?" Frieza asked.
"Yes, sir. Those guys are pathetic. May I take care of all three of them?" Dodoria said. Frieza smirked.
"Do as you like." He ordered. Moori stopped him, aiming his hand at Dororia.
"You bastard, you think you can defeat me with such as puny technique?" He chuckled at the Namekian. Then Moori leaped into the air, surprising everyone.
"Elder!" One of the Namekian warriors cried out. The Namekian elder began to fire at each one of the Frieza's men's scouters, destroying them.
"He figured it out." Krillin murmured.
"No! He's targeting our scouters!" Zarbon shouted.
"Why is he doing that?" Gohan asked Krillin.
"Those scouters, they can't tell where the other Namekians are without them! That old man knew that, so that's why he destroyed all of their scouters." Krillin explained to Gohan.
"Why, you! I-I'll kill you all." Dodoria snarled enraged. "I'll kill you all! Every each and one of you!" He lunged at Moori in the air.
"Elder! Look out!" One of the warriors cried out. Moori's eyes widened, seeing Dordoria flying towards him.
"Dodoria, wait!" The spikey alien stopped in his tracks when Frieza yelled out. "Begin by killing those three younger ones!"
"Damn it!" Dodoria hissed. Moori felt relief as he saw Dodoria fell back onto the ground, no longer facing him. But began to worry for the three Namekian warriors. "I'll dispose of all three of you within ten seconds."
"Don't be ridiculous! You think you're a match for all three of us!?" One of the warriors shouted at him.
"Huh? Do I think I'm a match for you? What an amusing joke!" Dodoria smirked, chuckling darkly.
"What!?" Dodoria quickly vanished as he teleported and appeared behind one of the warriors, stabbing his hand through the Namekian's chest. Another warrior charged at the spikey alien but was jabbed in the stomach, winded from the blow. Dodoria pulled his arm out from the first warrior and he fell to the ground. Then he turned to the second warrior and unleashed an energy beam from his mouth, disintegrating him.
"Damn you!" The last warrior launched an energy beam attack at the alien, striking him with it. But, it did no effect.
"What!?"
"It's hopeless! He can't defeat that guy with that kind of attack!" Krillin exclaimed.
Dodoria charged at the warrior, slamming his head against him taking them both towards the bluff. The Namekian warrior crashed into it, cracking his skull and fell to the ground, dead as well. All three warriors were defeated within seconds by this ruthless invader. Krillin and Gohan gaped in shock and horror, witnessing the entire thing.
"Now do you understand? It is useless to defy us or run away. Now, come back down here, please." Frieza told Moori. Moori glared at Frieza then landed back on the ground. "So now you've finally grown cooperative, I see. You have destroyed my precious scouters. May I have you produce one of your Dragon balls as an apology?"
"I'll do it. But promise me, that no matter what you will not lay a hand on the children!" Moori pleaded to him.
"Yes, yes, we ought to have do it this way right from the beginning." Frieza agreed. Moori gritted his teeth then went inside the hut to retrieve the orb.
"What monsters! How awful!" Krillin gritted his teeth, angrily.
"Why, those!" Gohan glared at them as well.
"H-Hey, Gohan! Don't go getting any crazy ideas. There's no way that we can stand up to those guys." Krillin told him. Moori came back out from the hut, holding one of the Dragon balls and held it out to Frieza.
"Now take this and get out of here. at once." He said. One of Frieza's men took it from him.
"Well done. While I am at it, let me also have you tell me the locations of the remaining two Dragon balls." Frieza demanded.
"I won't do that! We Namekians don't sell each other out even if it means our own lives!" Moori shook his head. "Now, we had an agreement! Leave here at once!"
"Not you too. There is absolutely no one on this planet who will speak about their friends. I guess I will have to kill you along with the children!" Frieza smirked.
"You promised you wouldn't!" Moori shouted. Dodoria slammed his elbow against the Namekian elder's face, knocking him back.
"Elder! Elder!" The two children cried out.
"This isn't what we agreed to! You promised that you wouldn't do anything else if I handed over the Dragon ball!" Moori exclaimed.
"But unless I have all seven Dragon balls it is meaningless, right? You have destroyed our scouters so we will need to have you tell us where the remaining two are." Frieza said.
"I won't tell you!" Moori shouted.
"If you want to die that badly, I'll grant your wish. Kill all three of them." Frieza ordered his men. Moori growled and glared at him.
"That dirty!" Krillin hissed, furiously. Moori quickly turned to the two children.
"You have to run! Get away!" The elder urged the two to flee. One of the children, who was wearing a maroon-colored vest and white collar and robes underneath, nodded and took the other, wearing a red colored similar outfit, by the hand and ran. Moori turned back to Frieza and his men, facing them.
"I'll show you the pride of the Namekian people!" Before he could attack, Dodoria opened his mouth and fired a beam. It soared straight at Moori but went right past his head and hit one of the children. Moori's eyes widened.
"C-Cargo!" The marooned-clothed Namekian child cried out.
"Control yourself! There's nothing that we can do!" Krillin tried to control Gohan. Moori growled at Dodoria who smirked and laughed. The alien darted towards Moori who braced himself for his attack. Then Dodoria suddenly vanished in front of his eyes before he quickly appeared again and grabbed Moori by his collar and lifted him up. But the punch never came as the alien had vanished again then quickly appeared behind Moori and grabbed the Namekian elder's neck and snapped it. Moori fell to the ground, dead. The Namekian child cried out as he backed away, looking at Dodoria, Frieza and his men fearfully.
"Some much for that pride of yours." Dodoria laughed, evilly before he turned around and set his eyes on the Namekian child. The child screamed and tried to run but Dodoria quickly leaped out and landed in front of the child, blocking him. He backed away from Dodoria, now trembling and crying in fear. "It won't be any fun smashing a little kid like this. Die!" The alien raised his hand getting ready to strike the child down. Gohan let out a furious scream, getting up from his hiding spot. But before he could jump in, a foot slammed, hard, against Dodoria's head, knocking the alien away from the Namekian child, sending Dodoria crashing against into one of the huts.
The Namekian child's eyes widen and he gasped in shock when Ocarin stood in front of him, pushing him behind her. Frieza and his men eyes widen in surprise seeing her as did Krillin and Gohan.
"What?!" Frieza exclaimed.
"About time." Krillin whispered.
"Ocarin!" Gohan cried out.
Ocarin glared at Frieza then she quickly turned around and grabbed the child, tucking him in her arms carrying him. "I'm taking the kid! Bye!" Then quickly turned to the cliff. "Krillin! Gohan! We are leaving. NOW!" She shouted and flew off.
"Damn it, Ocarin!" Krillin hissed, getting up. Gohan quickly followed behind him, chasing after Ocarin. The three flew, while Ocarin held onto the child as they tried to escape. Frieza turned to Dodoria who was getting up, rubbing his cheek, painfully, that Ocarin kicked.
"Dodoria, what are you doing?! Get up and follow them!" Frieza shouted, furiously. The spikey alien let out a ferocious roar and flew after the group.
"Step on it! We need to go faster. We can't let that monster catch us or we're all dead!" Krillin shouted. The three quickly flew as Dodoria chased after them right on their tail. Ocarin frowned, seeing the alien still behind them and started to fire beams at them. Ocarin growled and fired a beam back at him.
"Enough of this!" The beam managed to slow the spikey alien down a little before he shook it off and started to chase after them again. "He's still there. We can't loose him! Krillin, use your technique!" She yelled out.
"Alright, shield your eyes you two! Whatever happens just keep going and don't look back!" He shouted. Krillin turned around, facing Dodoria. "Solar Flare!" and emitted a bright light, blinding the alien in his tracks. Ocarin quickly lowered and took cover hiding between some islands. She noticed that Gohan and Krillin wasn't with her before she saw them, heading towards her.
"Gohan! Krillin! Down here!" She called out to them. The two quickly came to her, lowering their energy levels. They saw the spikey alien fly past them as he searched for them. All three let out a sigh in relief.
"That was a close one. Without his scouter, he won't be able to find us." Krillin said.
"You said it." Gohan chuckled. Ocarin looked down at the Namekian child in her arms, seeing him looking up at her. She completely melted, seeing how cute he was.
"Are you okay?" She asked as she spoke in Namekian. The child's eyes widen a little in surprise, recognizing it was her voice from the scouter. He nodded.
"Y-Yeah. I-I'm fine." He spoke softly.
"Let's get back to Bulma." Krillin said then looked at the Namekian child. "Can you fly?" Krillin asked.
"Yes. But,, I'm still learning." He replied. Ocarin let him go and he hovered a little in the air, staggering a little as he showed them. "Um, thank you for saving me."
"Don't thank me, Thank her." Krillin said, pointing at Ocarin.
"That's not true, Krillin. If it weren't for you that guy would've caught us for sure." Gohan told him.
"That is true." Ocarin agreed as well. Krillin smiled. She smiled back before turning back the Namekian child. "It's not safe out here. Why don't you stick with us for a while?"
The Namekian child's eyes widen a little surprised, looking at Krillin and Gohan and her. Happy to see some friendly faces for once. He nodded. "Yeah."
"Great!" Gohan smiled.
"What's your name?" Ocarin asked.
"It's Dende." He told them. "What are yours?"
"I'm Ocarin, that's Gohan and Krillin." she told him as she introduced themselves to Dende.
"Our hideout's this way. Come on!" Gohan said and the four flew off to head back to Bulma.
