Summary:

Is there a waiver Daisuke has to sign, as a passenger in Takeru's car?

"Damn itttt! Why'd Koushiro-san have to go and do this? I can't believe he found a way into the Digital Gate to assign it user privileges!"

"You were becoming too reliant on it for travel, Daisuke-kun. Look where you are right now. You wouldn't be late for work if using the Digital Gate hadn't convinced you you could sleep in and still make it to the ramen shop in time every time."

"…"

"All that said and done, I'm surprised you resorted to calling me, Daisuke-kun. After where we left things hanging last week, I wasn't hopeful you'd –"

"You? Not hopeful?" Daisuke didn't buy Takeru's disappointment. "Don't let it get to your head! I called you because you're a fast driver! It's more reliable than waiting three trains during rush hour!"

"I'm reliable? Aww."

"Just drive, Takeru!"

Patamon chuckled alongside Takeru.

"Yes, yes." Takeru concentrated on the wheel, totally in control.

Daisuke was nervous.

"Fast" and "in control" were an understatement and a prayer. Takeru was a dangerous driver.

There wasn't any music on. Just the occasional route instruction from the GPS, which Daisuke noted sounded a hell of a lot like Yamato.

Takeru saw Daisuke's confused expression and just laughed.

"Aniki lost a bet."

"God. To your own brother, Takeru!"

The blond hummed innocently.

"What was the bet?"

"Who'd ask out who first. Aniki or Taichi-san."

"Yamato-san and Taichi-san are –? God. You and your brother, Takeru!"

Takeru continued feigning innocence.

"Be straight with me: How many pedestrians have sued since you got your license?"

"Straight with you?" The car swerved. Or more accurately, Takeru swerved the car with intent.

"How'd they think it was good idea to let you on the road?"

"I was seeing the examiner's daughter."

It was a fib, yet Daisuke wouldn't put it past him.

"But since getting my license, huh? So we're not counting the trade show I crashed into when I was learning?"

Takeru's creative writing at work.

"Forget I asked."

"EHHH? I wanted to hear the story!" V-mon complained in the back.

"YOU put a sock in it! It's your fault I'm even begging Takeru for a ride, V-mon! Not waking me up…"

"Daisuke! I did! You wouldn't move!"

"Now, now. I'm happy to drive Daisuke-kun."

"The Digital Gate is the only way to travel!" Daisuke harumphed.

"Mrm, I like driving."

"What does driving have that the Digital Gate doesn't?"

"I can make out with you in my car, but not the Digital Gate, Daisuke-kun."

Daisuke cringed. "You're gonna give me heart attack…"

Takeru overshot the ramen shop, startling their friends loitering in the doorway.

"You and Miyako-san and Hikari-chan, apparently."
