Echo and Fives are a pair of arc trooper twins that work in the 501st, they are courageous and brave soldiers thst would give their lives for the cause.
Though they were friendly, the other clones were wise to not get on their bad sides, as they would give very horrific threats to anyone that did.
Wether or not they actually meant these threats has yet to be determined.
Since the early stages regular soldiers became more common on GAR.
At first no one thought much of it, but it wasn't long before the groups began to clash.
One of these was a nat lieutenant who cane from a base on Courscant, he was simply referred to as Americ and was allocated to the same barracks that Echo and Fives resided in.
"I see this place is crawling with fleshy droids." He sneered arrogantly.
"I hope that's not the only attitude you have, because if it is, you won't last long here." Echo said angrily.
"Are you threatening me 1409." Americ said furiously.
"Don't you dare call him by his number, he has a name, just like any proper soldier, you kriffer." Fives growled.
"Don't talk to me like that, I've been fighting for years and have rightly earned my rank, show me some respect." Americ growled.
"We only show respect to those who give it back, and you have shown no such thing since arriving." Echo said scowling.
Before the men could exchange anymore insults, Americ was called for a mission briefing and left.
The twins were furious.
"Who does that stuffed up nat
think he is." Echo said.
"What should we do?" Pondered Fives.
"I'm not sure, he's only given words so far, but if he does anything to us or anyone else, then we'll think of something." Echo said.
Over the next two weeks Americ continued to be arrogant to any clone that so much as passed him, even targeting Rex and the higher officers.
After two days of this he and Fives got into a vicious row and it was from there on Americ developed an acute dislike for the arc trooper and gave him no end of grief.
Perhaps the worst instance of this was when he called Fives a very disgusting name, the worst insult a clone can receive.
For Echo this was the last straw as he couldn't bare to see his twin suffer at the hands of a spiteful officer.
"You're a kriffing nuisance, it's to leave you behind I'd love." Echo said scowling at Americ.
"You can't, I'm essential." Americ sneered.
"Like hell you are, you're just a voice in the background when all's said and done, spite Fives would you, TAKE THAT." Echo growled before raising a fist and punching Americ directly on the jaw.
Americ was so stunned he fell back a few steps.
"And there's more coming, if you misbehave." Echo threatened.
"Oh no there won't be." Kix said appearing from nowhere.
"KIX, what are you doing here." Echo stuttered nervously.
"The question is, what are YOU doing, assaulting an officer is a very serious offence Echo." Kix said looking at the arc trooper, both angry and surprised.
"This kriffer has been giving my twin all matter of grief." Echo said.
"And how is assaulting him going to change that." Kix said the firm look returning to his face.
"He might stop doing it in future." Echo replied.
"Will you Americ?" Kix questioned firmly looking at Americ.
"Well umm..uh." Americ stuttered unable to awnser.
"You see Echo, if your plan had worked he would have awnsered with a resounding yes." Kix said looking at Echo, who looked down in shame.
Kix then looked at Americ with a firm look.
"Americ are you alright, will you need to go to the medbay after this?" Kix asked.
"No chief, I'm fine?" Americ said.
"Good, because after I report this to Fox, you and I are going to have a few stern words." Kix said warningly.
Fox was informed and charges were filed, for his crime Echo was barricaded for two whole weeks, during which time Fives ripped into his brother rightly.
Kix and Americ had a good long talk afterwards, whatever was said the officer behaved much better after that.
He and Fives stayed apart for a good long time untill the day Fives was working at a quay.
The arc trooper wasn't feeling too well and had been assigned lighter duties.
Fives was counting the fuel barrels making sure the correct amount was at the base.
Suddenly there was a whizzing sound and a barrel exploded.
Fives was thrown high into the air and just as he nearly fell into the sea, Fives grabbed onto the edge of the peir.
"Help, someone help." Fives called terrified as he dangled over the edge.
Luckily Echo, who was nearby came to his aid and after stretching out a hand and pulled Echo pulled Fives back to safety.
"Thank you Echo, thank you." Fives said panting for breath.
"What happened Fives, did you slip over?" Echo asked concerned.
"No, someone caused one of the barrels to explode, but I don't know who did it." Fives said confused.
Unbeknownst to them Americ was watching them from behind, cursing under his breath.
"Damm, I was so close to getting rid of him." Americ growled.
Later the twins were resting on a tank, still shaken by what happened.
Fives decided to take his mind of it by surveying his surroundings.
He saw a young clone trooper standing by the peir.
All of a sudden there was an explosion and the clone was thrown into the air toward the quay.
Both twins were shocked and as Fives watched on unable to move in time, Echo looked back at the depot.
There standing close by was Americ, smirking.
But before anyone could say anything the clone trooper fell over the edge of the quay and plunged into the deep cold sea.
None of the rescue equipment was good enough to pull the young clone from the water, and even though they could call for some that was, it would be far too late when it arrived.
The shiny was lost forever.
Echo and Fives didn't know what to think, on one half they saddened by the loss of that clone trooper, but on the other hand, they were enraged.
"So you saw Americ at the depot?" Fives asked.
"Yeah, we both heard a shot before that barrel exploded, I think we both know what happened." Echo said.
Then both twins noticed something.
On a distant peir Americ was watching the sea and the failed rescue operation with a massive grin on his face.
It was now obvious, he had killed that poor young clone trooper, and earlier he tried to do the same to Fives.
For the Domino twins, that was the final straw.
That night Americ was on his way back to the main base with a clone guard.
He didn't notice a certain pair of arc troopers, watching them.
"Shame about that young shiny." The guard said solemnly.
"Yes indeed." Americ said faking sorrow.
Suddenly there was a sputtering Noise from the tank's engine, and it came to a stop.
The guard and Americ got out and inspected the tank's engine.
"What happened?" Americ asked.
"I'm not sure, it's not working anymore, we must have taken on contaminated fuel, I'll have to go back to the outpost for help." The guard said.
With that the guard ran back down the path, where he would return to the outpost.
Americ was all alone, but not for long.
He soon heard the crunching of footsteps coming from behind.
"You took you're time getting here, but late's better than-OW." Americ cried as he was bumped roughly from behind.
"Do you mind." Americ growled.
"Quiet you." A stern Echo said.
"Which one are you 1409, or that other one?" Americ asked.
"We're both here." Fives awnsered.
Americ smirked at this.
"What, it takes two of you to help one of me." Americ said smugly.
"Actually, we both wish to accomplish the same goal." Echo said.
"What are you talking about?" Americ asked.
The twins didn't awnser and began marching.
"What about my guard, he hasn't come back yet?" Americ asked confused.
Again the twins didn't respond.
"Are any of you going to awnser me." Americ demanded.
Still no response.
Eventually they reached a forest and stopped.
Americ watched as Echo pulled out a flashlight and turned it on, then they moved onto an old crumbling pathway.
Americ was going to ask where they were going, but since he didn't get an awnser on the last few questions, he saw no point in it.
Soon they came to an old wooden bridge, Americ thought nothing of it at first, until he noticed nothing.
There was a large gap between both ends of the bridge, meaning it had collapsed.
"Can you two stop the-the bridge is out?" Americ asked nervously.
The twins said nothing and kept moving.
Americ was now desperate.
"ARE YOU DEATH, I SAID THE BRIDGE IS OUT." Americ yelled terrified.
Despite the man's wailing they moved closer to the edge, and just as Americ was right at the edge of the bridge they came to a halt.
Americ began to teeter.
"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING." Americ cried terrified.
"Tell me nat-born how does it feel teetering over the edge, how does it feel knowing you might fall?" Echo questioned
"What do you think it feels, IT'S BLOODY TERRIFYING, NOW PULL ME BACK." Americ yelled.
"Now you know how I felt when you tried to blow me into the quay, not to mention that clone trooper you said flying into the bloody sea." Fives said.
Americ's mouth dropped.
"H-how-how did you know?" He questioned.
"Do you think no one would notice the way you reacted to that trooper's death, you may have hidden it from the soldiers and jedi but you didn't hide from us, so we decided to make sure you can't harm anyone else." Echo awnsered.
"Of course we had to get you to a standstill so we contaminated the fuel in that yard with some water, given the length of the journey home, we knew you couldn't get back without taking some more." Fives said.
"Thi-This was all planned, p-please, I swear it was an accident, I never meant for that clone would fall into the ocean, I thought that barrel was-." Americ attempted to plead.
"DON'T GIVE ME THAT RUBBISH." Bellowed Fives. "As Echo said, we saw your reaction, that big grin on your face when that trooper was announced dead, your intentions were clear and you achieved them."
"And you claim you're doing better, if I fall the blood will be on your hands, YOU'RE ATTEMPTING MURDER, MURDER." Americ yelled.
Just then Americ heard the cracking of wood beneath him, he realised that this bridge was incredibly unstable.
Echo and Fives wisely moved back onto land.
"Tell me nat-born, how is it murder if the victim in question commited murder himself?" Echo demanded.
"Yeah, you see Americ this isn't murder, THIS IS PUNISHMENT." Fives yelled.
The bridge broke with a crack and a loud scream and a crash were the last things Echo and Fives ever heard of Americ.
No one ever did find out about the acts Echo and Fives had committed on that night, but Americ's absence did not go unnoticed and many people pondered what had happened.
Some assumed he had wandered off in the night to do something and gotten lost.
That was until the guard had told them about the breakdown and that it must have been contaminated fuel, which was later confirmed by an inspector.
In the end no one had an awnser to what happened to Americ that night.
At one second he was with the army, the other he had suddenly disappeared without a trace.
Shortly after the dissapeance some shocking details regarding Americ's past actions with clone troopers came to light.
He had been responsible for the deaths of 4 other clone troopers either by shoving them into the sea or by sniping them from large hills.
It was also revealed his commander had allowed him to commit these horrible deeds and was promptly arrested.
After that not much more was said on the matter, Americ's dissapeance was still a mystery but considering his crimes, no one thought much of it.
As for Echo and Fives, they addmitedly had some guilt regarding their actions.
On one hand they though it might have been wise if they brought Americ and his commander to the officers and let them deal with it, but on the other hand he had taken the lives of five clone troopers and it would have been six had Fives not been saved by his twin.
They eventually came to the same conclusion, no matter how it would have went, Americ's fate was sealed.
However out of the two of them Fives felt the most guilty.
He had been the one who planned the whole thing and he felt he was responsible for the dissapearance of that spiteful officer.
About 4 days after the incident Fives and Hardcase went on patrol.
Neither knew the grisly site that awaited them.
Fives and Hardcase were both on speeders getting ready to go.
"You ready to go Hardcase?" Fives asked.
"Yeah, I'm just about ready." Hardcase said nodding.
"Then let's go." Fives said.
The two were soon speeding along the countryside looking for any droid patrols they could find.
A few hours later they approached a lake and stopped to take a break.
Fives looked into the lake.
At first he didn't see anything, but then he noticed something.
It was a body, but the head, as well as both legs had been torn off, and to Fives' horror it was Americ.
"Fives, what do you see?" Hardcase asked.
"I-I've murdered Americ." Fives said staring at the body horrified.
"What, what do you mean murdered?" Hardcase asked.
"He's in pieces, reduced to nothing, dank farrik, I killed him!" Fives exclaimed.
"Alright alright, let's not panic." Hardcase said trying to calm down Fives.
"HARDCASE I KILLED HIM." Fives yelled.
I'm sorry to say that he did, Americ's body was torn to pieces, which did effectively end his life.
Kix and Fox swiftly arrived on the scene to conduct their investigation, ordering Fives and Hardcase to wait close by until they were done.
"He said the bridge was out, he begged me to save him, and I told him to shut it." Fives said his voice full of guilt.
"It's alright Fives, you didn't know it would kill him." Hardcase said.
"Maybe I hoped it would, I guess we'll never know." Fives said.
Just then Kix and Fox arrived.
"Alright we're all done at the lake, Hardcase you're free to go, and since I'm not needed here, I'll go back with you." Kix said.
"Yes Kix, what about Fives?" Hardcase asked.
"He has to stay here, I need to ask him a few questions." Fox said.
"Yes commander." Fives said.
"Good luck Fives." Hardcase said
"Thanks Hardcase." Fives said.
Hardcase and Kix both left.
Fox looked at Fives.
"Now Fives, I understand you and the deceased have a rather nasty history?" Fox asked.
As you can tell by that question, the guard commander put Fives through the ringer and although he would be exonerated that didn't stop a number of Americ's friends from chastising the arc trooper, calling him a murderer and worse.
Though most of the soldiers and his brothers were very supportive, for the longest time Fives was addeled by the grief of killing that spiteful officer.
Maybe that was a good thing, after all only a monster wouldn't feel guilty.
Echo and Fives remain hardworking to this day, and often work together, despite their stern attitudes they do show themselves as good hearted, and are friends to many.
However the 501st are quick to warn the others.
"If you ever encounter a pair of Arc trooper twins, known as Echo and Fives, whatever you do, do not piss them off"
