Chapter 29

Izuku began to wake up, feeling pain all over. He groaned as he looked around and saw Kaina sitting next to him. "Morning, sleepy head."

Izuku felt like he was in trouble. He couldn't remember what happened as he tried to remember back. He decided to remain laying there and keep his mouth shut.

Kaina sighed after a minute of looking at the dragon. "You really worried me, you know."

"Sorry." Izuku looked away, feeling bad.

Kaina rested her hand on Izuku's arm, shaking her head. "No, it's not your fault. I don't understand everything that happened. But I shouldn't be mad at you. I just didn't want you to do something you wouldn't do in your right mind."

Izuku tried to think back to the exam. "I… don't remember much of it. Most of it is just a blur. But… there was this voice. It kept… telling me to… to kill him. Kill All Might. I tried to fight it but…"

Kaina nodded. "Well, it doesn't matter right now. Aizawa said I passed but, uh, you didn't."

Izuku sighed. "I should have seen that coming." He laid his head down on his pillow and looked at the ceiling. "Guess I won't be going to that training camp then. Just try not to get carried away without me."

Kaina chuckled. "Oh please. I know that, whether or not you came, you'll still train just as hard."

"Yeah. But I kinda wanted to train with Izumi." At that, the door to the nurse office opened and Izumi walked in, a concerned look on her face.

She rushed over, seeing Izuku bandaged up again. "A… Are you doing okay?" She asked, unsure how to approach Izuku.

Izuku nodded. "I'm fine," he said, before grunting in pain as Kaina poked his chest.

Kaina chuckled and looked at the green haired girl. "He'll live, Izumi. Though, Recover Girl is currently refusing to heal him so I get to play nurse with him."

Izuku felt his face heat up. "Don't worry about me. But you'll be going to the camp without me."

Izumi grew sad at the news. She was looking forward to the camp with Izuku. "Really? Ugh." Izumi sat down in a chair next to Kaina. "That sucks."

"Well, not much to be done. We'll just have to train hard and show off," Kaina said, nudging Izumi with her shoulder.

"Heh, yeah." Izumi smiled at her brother's girlfriend before looking away, frowning.

——

After Izuku recovered, he was laying in his bed, staring at the ceiling. The memories of what happened during the exam kept running through his mind. He lost complete control. It… scared him.

His door opened but he didn't look to see who it was. "How are you doing?" He recognized his sister's voice.

"I don't know. What if I lose control again?"

Izumi sat down at Izuku's desk. "Well, Kaina managed to calm you down. And if it happens again, I'll do what I can to do it too."

Izuku shook his head. "If I do lose control, I don't want you anywhere near me. There was a… voice. It kept preying on my feelings of All Might. And if I see you while I'm like that… I just…"

"I get it. You don't want to accidentally hurt or kill me. But I'm not gonna sit on the sidelines while you're in trouble and could do something about it. We've had our rough moments and for a long time, hated each other for what I did. But things are different now. At least, I hope we are."

Izuku chuckled, nodding his head. "Yeah. We are. I care about you a lot. But that's the reason I-"

"Izuku." Izumi cut Izuku off. "I care about you too. I don't know what I'd do if something ever happened to you. You're my baby brother."

"Hey, you're only older by fifteen minutes."

"That still makes you my little brother. And now, I'll do anything to protect you. Like I should have. And if that means putting myself in harm's way, I'll do it."

Izuku smiled, hearing his sister. "You've really changed, you know that?"

Izumi was surprised, her cheeks growing flush. "Wh-where did that come from?"

"Just pointing it out. You used to be arrogant and completely full of yourself. Now, you're caring, and confident. You're gonna be a hero I would proudly call my sister."

Izumi began tearing up. "Th-thank you, Izuku. I… I can't explain how happy hearing that makes me. I'm so happy you came back into my life." Izumi moved in to hug Izuku. She wrapped arms tightly around the dragon. "I don't know where I'd be without you."

Izuku hugged his sister. 'Me neither.'

——

Everyone was sitting in class. "Now, I said that if you didn't pass the exam, you had to stay behind." Izuku, Kaminari and Mina groaned. "But, you're all going."

Mina and Kaminari cheered while Izuku was confused. "Why?"

"Don't question it!" Kaminari and Mina shouted.

"Because those that failed are the ones who need it the most. Now onto class."

Class continued like normal. Once the school day was over, Izumi was smiling to herself. "What's got you all smiley?" Katsumi asked.

"Izuku gets to go to the training camp." She looked over, seeing her brother put away his things. "And there's something I want to talk to him about, while we're there."

Katsumi looked at her confused. "Can't you just talk to him here?"

"Yeah but… this is something I want to talk about, there. It's… it's really important." Izumi had a serious look on her face.

Katsumi still didn't fully understand but nodded, seeing that look. "Alright. Let's get back to the dorms." Katsumi got up and grabbed her bag and began to walk out with Izumi and Shoka following.

Before the three managed to leave, they were stopped. "Hey, I have an idea!" Mina shouted. "How about we go to the mall together and get what we need for the camp! It'll be like a bonding trip!" Everyone began agreeing.

——

At the mall, everyone began splitting up into groups. "C'mon Izumi." Katsuki said.

"No, you guys go on ahead. I'll catch up." Katsuki rolled his eyes with a grunt as he, Katsumi, Shoto and Shoka walked away.

Izuku was walking with Kaina to get clothes. "Yeah, I'll need some shorts. Maybe a sports bra." Kaina looked over at Izuku with a smirk.

"Uh, s-sure."

Kaina wrapped herself around Izuku's arm, pulling it into her chest. "What do you think? Wanna help me pick something out? You can tell me how I look in them~."

Izuku could only nod, the image of his girlfriend in a bra running through his mind. Kaina smiled, pulling Izuku along towards the clothing store.

Izumi was wandering around the mall, letting out a sigh. "Izuku…" Izumi pulled out a small journal she had, looking through its contents. 'I know All for One is involved. I just know it.'

——

It was time for the training camp and everyone was excited. They all waited outside as two buses pulled up. A few of them were confused why there were two busses, until they heard a familiar voice. "Hahaha! If it isn't the inferior class 1-A!"

The class turned to see class 1-B walking up to them. The blonde guy was in front, laughing his head off.

Izuku rolled his eyes as Kaina held his hand, glaring at the blonde. "Do you think their teacher would be mad if he was down a student?" She asked.

Izuku looked over at her. "I… uh, I think he'd prefer you don't make his student go missing."

Kaina huffed. Aizawa walked off the bus, telling the class to get on. Everyone began filing on the bus, taking their seats. Izuku was sitting in between Izumi and Kaina, the latter of who was napping on Izuku's shoulder while Izuku idly scrolled on his phone, reading for any interesting hero news.

Izumi was writing in her journal of different moves she wanted to try to test while they were at camp. Izuku smiled to himself. Izumi looked over, seeing his smile. "What's up?" She asked him.

"Nothing. I'm just… happy. I'm training to be a hero with my sister like we originally planned when we were really young. I've got friends, a girlfriend, two loving moms. Right now life is just… good."

Izumi smiled at her brother. "Yeah, and I'm happy for you. You're finally getting what you deserved. Even if we go through rough times, we'll do it together." Izumi brought up her fist.

Izuku looked at Izumi and nodded, smiling. "Yeah, together." Izuku brought up his own fist, meeting hers.

——

The bus came to a stop and Aizawa had everyone get out. The class stood on a cliff overlooking a vast forest. As everyone awed at the sight, a car pulled up to them.

Everyone looked over, curious as two women got out with a child. "Rock on with these sparkling gazes!" The one with dark red hair shouted.

"Surprisingly cute and catlike!" The blonde shouted.

"We're the wild wild pussycats!" They both shouted, synched poses together. Everyone was just staring at them confused.

After a minute, the red head looked off in the distance. "Over at the foot of that mountain is our main back camp. From here, I'd say it would take till noon to get there."

Everyone looked at the mountain she was talking about. "Then why'd we stop here?" Sato asked, looking at his classmates.

"If you take your time, maybe one," the blond cat lady said.

Slowly, it began to dawn on everyone just what was happening. "Uh, m-maybe we should get back on the bus?" Kaminari asked his class.

Most everyone began running towards the bus but were cut off as the blond cat woman landed in between then, hands on the floor with an excited smile on her face.

All of the sudden, the ground exploded out from under them, sending all of the students flying away from the cliff. Thinking fast, Izumi began using her quirk, catching all of her classmates and setting them down on the grass next to the entrance to the forest.

"This is the start!" Aizawa shouted down at them. "Your training has already begun!"

From the forest, monsters began to come out, attacking.

——

The sun began to set and the class began to make their way out of the forest. They were all panting, sweat drenched their clothes. The red head walked up to them. "Nicely done everyone! Now come in to eat dinner. Afterwards, you all can relax in the hot springs."

Everyone smiled and ran into the main building to eat.

——

Everyone was sitting inside the hot springs, relaxing. Izuku lay in the heated water, laying back with a smile on his face. His head lay on the stone tiles surrounding the hot spring.

He had a growing, worried feeling in him. He tried to ignore it, chalk it up to his head overthinking, but he knew that wasn't it.

He just hoped it wasn't what he thought it was.
