"Dean!" Roman called.

Dean looked up and saw Roman jog towards him. It was clear by Roman's facial expression that something was wrong.

"What is it?" Dean asked.
"Haven't you heard?" Roman asked.
"Heard what?" Dean asked.
"Fuck!" Roman muttered. "Don't get mad at me. I'm just the messenger."
"You better start talking, Roman," Dean said.
"Jaya and Seth are getting married," Roman said.
"What?" Dean shouted.

Dean balled his fists and gritted his teeth. He couldn't control his anger. He turned and threw a punch at the wall.

"Fuck!" Dean screamed as loud as he could.
"Stay calm," Roman said.
"Don't tell me stay calm!" Dean yelled. "Fuck you, Roman!"
"It's not me you're mad at," Roman said.

Roman looked around and saw some people had moved out to see what the shouting was all about.

"You're drawing attention," Roman grabbed Dean's arm. "Let's go."

They walked down to the ring, jumped the barricade, and found a spot where they could sit by themselves.

"I don't believe this," Dean said. "She can't fucking marry him."
"There's a lot of rumors going around today. Apparently Seth came back and found her missing. Some people say she was planning a secret proposal and that was why she was gone this morning," Roman said.
"That's a lie," Dean said.
"I know that," Roman chuckled. "She was with you, wasn't she?"

Dean nodded and Roman patted Dean's shoulder.

"What other rumors are there?" Dean asked.
"That Vince is forcing this wedding on them," Roman sighed. "We both know that one is partly true."
"Partly?" Dean asked.
"Vince isn't the only one forcing this wedding. Seth is too. They came up with it together," Roman said.

Dean stood up and walked around Roman's legs to get to the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Roman asked.
"To make sure my woman doesn't marry that fucker Seth," Dean said. "I can't fucking lose her, Roman. Not like this."
"I'm rooting for you," Roman said.

Dean walked around the arena searching for Jaya. He couldn't find her so he backtracked to the ring. She was in there with Charlotte going over their match tonight. He stepped as close as he could to listen to Tyson Kidd putting their match together.

"You need to make Charlotte look strong from the start. Open the match with Charlotte knocking you out and putting you in the figure eight. It will bring the audience on their feet if they think for a split second it's going to be a squash match. Of course you manage to grab the rope to get free," Tyson looked at Dean. "Can I help you, Dean?"
"No, sorry. I spaced out," Dean said. "I'm gonna wait in gorilla."
"Okay," Tyson said.

Dean walked back up the ramp and waited for them to be done going over the match. Charlotte came back first. Jaya came walking slowly a minute later. He followed behind her until the coast was clear. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into the nearest room.

"You're marrying him?" He blurting out.
"Yes," she said.

She looked so broken. He wanted nothing more than to take her away from this place and never look back.

"You can't fucking marry him, Jaya," he said.
"I have to," she said.
"No, you don't," he said.
"I love him," she said.

He shook his head at the lie. There was no truth in those words. They both knew it.

"What about me? Don't you love me?" He asked.
"You were just an experiment," she said.

Those words cut deeper than anything. He knew she was lying and trying to push him away but it still hurt like hell. She was ending things with him and hoping he would be hurt enough to stay away from her.

"I don't believe you," he said. "I know you love me. Tell me you fucking love me!"

She kept standing there like a stone. She refused to cry or give away any emotions. He wanted to tear the room apart and hold her close at the same time. Nothing had hurt more in his life than this moment.

"I love you, for fuck sake!" He yelled.

She turned around and walked out of the room without a word. He stood there looking at the open door, not knowing what to do. He let her walk away. He had thought she would say something. Anything at all. He had not expected her to simply turn around and walk away. It felt like his heart shattered in a million pieces and he couldn't breathe. Everything came crashing down around him in that moment. Jaya had walked away.

That night Dean watched as Jaya and Charlotte faced each other in the ring. The referee called for the bell to ring, and Charlotte flew in with a punch to Jaya's face. Jaya fell down and Charlotte put her in a figure eight. To Dean's surprise Jaya tapped out. He knew that wasn't supposed to happen and judging by everyone's reaction in gorilla, the original ending to the match hadn't been changed with their knowledge. He looked over at Hunter and Michael Hayes. They both looked confused.

"What is she doing?" Hunter asked.
"This wasn't planned?" Michael asked.
"No!" Hunter yelled.
"Cut to commercials maybe," Michael suggested.
"We can't," Hunter said. "Not yet."
"What the fuck is going on?" Michael asked. "Look at her."

Dean looked at the monitor again. Jaya was still lying flat on her back. The camera zoomed in on her face and tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Is she hurt?" Hunter asked. "Get the ref to check up on her."

Dean watched as a referee squatted down next to her and talked to her. He didn't stand up to throw the dreaded X symbol. She wasn't injured. Dean was the only one knowing what part of her was broken in that moment.

"Fuck it!" He mumbled.

He stormed down the ramp and reached under the bottom rope to grab her. He picked her up bridal style and she clung to him with her arms around his neck while still crying.

"I can't, Dean," she cried. "I can't do it anymore."
"I know," he said. "Fuck!"
"Don't bring me back there," she said.
"I got you, angel," he said.

He moved over to the timekeeper's area and walked around the barricade with her in his arms. He couldn't take her through gorilla where everyone was waiting. He had to get her out of the arena before anyone got the bright idea of getting out of their seat to go find them. The only thing working for him right now was that they were still live on tv showing it happen. He knew they would twist this into a storyline somehow. With him and Seth about to start feuding again, and everyone knowing Jaya was dating Seth, the storyline wrote itself.

"Hold on," he said.

He made it out of the arena and looked around. He hadn't thought this through. They were both in their ring gear without any personal belongings on them. He heard the door open and looked towards it. Roman came running out with Dean's bag. As usual Roman had kept his head cool when he saw it go down, and he came through for them.

"You need to go now!" Roman said firmly. "Don't drive to the next city. Get her out of here and lay low."

Roman handed Dean his back and nodded.

"Thank you," Dean said.
"Keep her safe," Roman said. "I can't get her bag but that's a problem for later. Get out of here while you still can."

Dean helped Jaya into the car before getting into the driver's seat. He took off while she sat next to him crying. He reached over and laced his fingers in between hers.

"It's okay, angel. It's all going to be okay. I promise," he said.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"Home," he answered.
