Island Chaos
Soon enough, the two ponies made at the end of the causeway. It had ended at a strange island. "Well," Sedimentary said, "Here we are. No where." "It's an island," Maud Pie explained.
"I know that," Sedimentary said, "With a mountain in the center. So want to go further?" "Sure," Maud Pie answered, "Boulder agrees." "Okay," Sedimentary replied. And the two ponies set hooves onto the island. "Well," said Maud Pie, "Let's take a look around."
They did. The island is mostly rock, with only a small pocket forest. "I don't it can support life," Sedimentary explained, "It's mostly rock. Very few trees grow here. Some even died and had fallen down."
"Well, Boulder likes it here," Maud Pie said, "Because of the rocks. And the rock base formation." "Yes," Sedimentary agreed.
The two ponies began to explore the island when suddenly, the ground began to shake. "Oh no," Sedimentary said. "There's an earthquake!" "Boulder says this is an earthquake," Maud Pie said, "Hold on to something!" They did so.
After about 2 minutes, the earthquake subsided. Both ponies and boulder survived. "That was close," Maud Pie said. "Yes, I know," Sedimentary agreed, "I know what I'm not going to call that." "Boulder says we'd better get off of this island," Maud Pie said.
"You're right," Sedimentary agreed. But they both found that the causeway had already been destroyed by the Earthquake. "No!" Sedimentary exclaimed, "We're trapped!" "We need to find a way off of the island," Maud Pie said. There is a good reason.
The earthquake had already made the island unstable and it is getting ready to break apart and sink into the ocean. "We really have to get off this island soon," Sedimentary said. "Right," Maud Pie agreed. "We should never have come onto this island in the first place," Sedimentary said, "I'm sorry."
"Don't worry," Maud Pie said in a somewhat comforting voice. Soon, they found a fallen tree. "Boulder says let's make a canoe out of that tree," Maud Pie said at last. "Okay," Sedimentary agreed, "Good idea. But we have to hurry." He said that the moment cracks began to form around the mountain.
Immediately, the two ponies used the rocks to carve a canoe out of a fallen tree. "We had to do it," Maud Pie said. In no time, the two ponies made a canoe, They've jumped into the canoe and paddled away just in time.
"Okay," Sedimentary said as the island behind them completely collapsed into the ocean. Followed by an underwater explosion.
"So that mountain was a volcano," Sedimentary explained, "With it's top plugged." "That's true," Maud Pie said as the two continued to paddle towards home.
When they got back to shore, the two agreed to be more careful about where they go.
