Team Fairy Tail Ready to Enter the Magic Games!

Shadow, Natsu, and the others arrive back home to the small guildhall after going through the intense pain from unlocking their second origin and now everyone in the guild is gathered inside by Makarov a few special announcements.

"It's time to announce the five who will be representing Fairy Tail in the Grand Magic Games." Makarov said, taking a moment of silent as everyone waits for who will be in the team.

"Natsu."

"Oh, yeah!" Natsu excited.

"Gray."

"I'm honored." Gray said in confident.

"Erza."

"I won't let you down." Erza promised.

"Of course, those three are kind of the shoe-in for the team." Mira smiled.

"From what Shadow told me, they're pretty strong either separate or fighting together." Rouge said.

"You betcha, they're stronger than any men combined!" Elfman commented, also hopes that he gets pick to be in the team.

"I wonder who'll get the last two spots?" Lisanna asked exciting.

"(I don't want Gray to go into battle without me.)" Juvia prayed that she'll get pick.

"And the remaining two will be… Lucy and Shadow!" Makarov announced as Lucy gasps that she got picked while Shadow smirks.

"How humiliating." Elfman cried that he didn't get picked, but he's also proud of the last two at the same time.

"Seriously? I understand Shadow, but Lucy isn't much of a fighter without her spirits." Max disapproved, then suddenly got grabbed in the shirt by an angry Natsu.

"Lucy is stronger than you think and she's smarter too, you got that?" Natsu growled with a burning death-glare.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry?!" Max apologized and beg Natsu not to burn him alive.

"(My darling will be locked in mortal combat without me at his side? I can't bear to think about it!)" Juvia thought crying that she didn't get picked.

"Nice job, Shadow. I knew you make the cut." Rouge complimented with a kiss to the cheek.

"Thanks, though I am a bit surprise by this since I'm still a new member here." Shadow said.

"You have done more than enough to earn your place in this family, and unlike these idiots you did the perfect without causing critical damage and got full paid too." Makarov stated his reason and team Natsu chuckles nervous, recalling the destruction they did on some jobs.

"As for you, Lucy, we weren't chosen for our individual strength, but our combined strength as a team. So, let's make him proud and give it our all." Erza encouraged.

"Yeah, good point." Lucy nodded.

"I'm glad that I wasn't chosen, but at the same time I feel sad that I won't be in the games." Wendy said.

"Worry not, child, I'm sure you'll get your chance." Carla believed.

"By the way, where are Laxus and Gajeel? I don't see them here." Shadow asked.

"They still haven't come back from their training, to be honest we would have a better chance with those two around, but we'll work with what we have." Makarov answered upsetting Natsu and Gray.

"Alright team, the Grand Magic Games present a perfect opportunity for us to reclaim the prominence that we once held! Today Sabertooth is regarded as Fiore's number one guild, let us take that title. Fairy Tail will be the top guild again!" Erza encouraged as everyone cheers.

"Now I got a fire in my belly!" Natsu excited as he wraps his arm around his girlfriend's waist pulling her closer to him.

"Yeah, let show them what we're made of!" Lucy shouted.

"Time to get Chaotic!" Shadow smirked.

"Oh, nice catchphrase." Rouge complimented.

(Crocus, the Flower Blooming Capital)

Team Fairy Tail are walking together through the streets of the big capital city of the Fiore Kingdom though they look a bit sick still feeling some of the painful effect of unlocking their Second Origin while Shadow and Erza are okay. Although they hear from some the people in the city badmouthing the guild consider they always lose for the past seven years which upset Natsu that he wants to punch those guys, but Makarov said not to let that bother him.

"Don't forget, we're doing this for the thirty mill—" Makarov stopped himself with a fake cough. "I mean we're doing this for the honor of being Fiore's top-ranking guild, of course."

"(The old is desperate to get that money, it's no surprise there consider how much big their bill is.)" Rogue thought.

"Our founding master rose from her eternal slumber to save our lives, so let's make her proud!" Makarov said as he put Asuka down and the team nodded.

"Now then, we know that the games will begin tomorrow. But unfortunately, we don't know what they'll be." Makarov mentioned.

"What? But I thought you guys did this every year." Natsu confused.

"Unless the games change every in random picks and such." Shadow guessed.

"You're correct, Shadow." Alzack said before picking up Asuka.

"The year my sugar-pistol and I didn't participate, they had a big ol' target shooting game." Bisca mentioned.

"And the year I decided to sit out, there was a foot-race." Jet said running in place.

"They take the teams' scores over a bunch of different contests to determine the winner." Droy explained while eating some chicken wings.

"They like to mix it up. I looked through records from the previous games and they're no real consistency to them." Levy informed.

"Guess we'll just have to wait and see what this year's game will be when it starts." Shadow suggested and remember the secret mission of finding this mysterious magic power that they promised to help Crime Sorcière with.

"Erza, I want you to read through the official rulebook by tomorrow." Makarov handed the rulebook in Erza's hands though the red hair is not sure she can read all this.

Luckily, Levy steps in to read the book with her Gale-Force Reading Glasses that allows her to read the whole book faster and found three major rules.

"The first one is the master of each guild isn't allowed to participate." Levy said.

"Sounds sensible enough." Makarov understand this.

"A guild can't have anybody that doesn't bear their respective emblem to take part on its behalf."

"Guess we're lucky that we got ours before this." Rouge pointed out.

"Indeed." Shadow nodded.

"And every guild will remain a mystery until the very moment it is announced, and only then will the game's rule be explained in detail."

"Well, that's certainly not very helpful." Erza sighed.

"Oh, this one could be important too." Levy spotted another rule in the book.

"All participates must return to their designated inn by 12:00." Levy read through the rule.

"There's a curfew?" Erza wondered.

"And it's already past noon, so they must be talking about midnight tonight." Shadow stated.

"Yes, I have the same thought too." Carla concurred.

"Or what, we'll be turn to pumpkins?" Gray joked.

"I think it's more of not being in the games at all, far worst than a princess losing her glass slippers." Rogue corrected the ice mage.

"Cool, we got tons of time until midnight!" Natsu pointed at the nearby clock.

"And since this is everyone's first time in the capital, let's go check it out!" Natsu suggested as he run off.

"Aye, sir!" Happy followed Natsu with Lucy.

"Hold on, do you know where we're staying?" Erza asked to make sure.

"The Honey Bone Inn, right?" Lucy remembered.

"Just be sure to be back by twelve o' clock. You hear me?" Erza reminded them and Happy shouted "Aye!" in return.

"Well, guess we can just relax in the meantime." Rouge pointed out.

"Rogue, I want a piggyback ride in the air!" Asuka asked exciting getting the bat-woman's attention.

"Sorry about this, Rouge, but would you mind letting Asuka ride for a bit. She always wonders what it's like to be high in the air." Bisca asked.

"Aw, how can I say no such a little cutie like you?" Rouge lifted Asuka up and place her on her back.

"Try not to show off." Shadow warned.

"Now, hold on to me tight and enjoy the flight." Rouge said before taking off in the air a little faster than she attended as Asuka shouts of joy.

Everyone split up going to see more of the capital: Natsu, Happy, and Lucy are looking at some flower ring hats as Natsu thinks they look good on Lucy then they went to a book that Lucy wanted to check out while Natsu and Happy waited outside eating apples they got from a stand. Erza went to the Honey Bone Inn checking out the team's rooms and trying to figure out what's so special about the curfew and remembering the love moment she and Jellal had on the beach until she got an uninvited visit from Ichiya and kicked him out. Gray meets up with Juvia and his fellow ice wizard/rival Lyon came trying to "steal" Juvia's love from him and the two butted heads as they declare their guild is going to win this year. Shadow is walking with Rouge and Asuka who decided to hang out with Rouge some more as they met up with Wendy and Carla staring at the beautiful castle known as Mercurius where the King and the princess lives.

"Wow, it's so big and pretty!" Asuka giggled.

"I bet there's a big pile of treasures in there." Rogue licked her lips.

"Yeah, it's amazing!" Wendy agreed.

"Breathtaking." Carla commented.

"Please, the ARK is better than a castle." Shadow said.

"What is that?" Wendy asked curious.

"A giant station floating in space around the earth." Shadow answered with a smirk.

"No way, in space!" Wendy gasped.

Shadow then narrow his eyes in a direction feeling a small yet uneasy presence.

"I'll be back right." Shadow said before he teleported away confusing the girls.

Unknown to them, a small creepy-like creature hiding on one the pillars of the wall staring down at Wendy and suddenly got on the head as it looks to see Shadow somehow right behind it.

"I don't know what you are, but I do know that you've been stalking Wendy for a bit and I'm here to give you a little of what happens to those who try to mess with my guild." Shadow threatened before using Chaos Control to teleport the little creature right outside the capital city.

Shadow teleported back to the girls.

"Hey Shadow, where'd you go?" Rouge asked.

"Just doing a little pest control." Shadow said.

"Shadow, it's so cool that you can teleport anywhere! Teleport me and Rouge to where Natsu is!" Asuka asked.

"I guess that's okay since I was going to check on him next." Shadow said and turn to Wendy and Carla.

"Will you two be alright by yourselves?" Shadow asked.

"Sure, we'll be okay." Wnedy assured.

"You just go and see if Natsu hasn't cause any trouble." Carla said.

"Okay, hold on tight, Asuka." Shadow said before he, Rouge, and Asuka teleported away.

(With Natsu, Happy, and Lucy)

Shadow, Rouee, and Asuka appear in the spot where Shadow sensed where Natsu is though they find themselves being surrounded by a crowd as they see Natsu with Lucy, and Happy.

"Whoa, Shadow! Where'd you come from?" Natsu asked.

"Came to see you, but it looks something just happened." Shadow answered.

"Yeah, we just had a run in with these two from Sabertooth." Lucy pointed at the two young men.

One a slim, yet muscular, toned young man of average height with spiky blond hair, which is kept in strands jutting outwards in every direction, and a smaller, frontal cowlick (or tuft) of hair partially hanging over his forehead. He has slanted, slit pupiled, dark blue eyes; above the right one is a thin, diagonal scar. His left ear is adorned with an earring which, in itself, is attached to by a prominent metal pendant that is crystalline in shape. His white Sabertooth mark is located on his left shoulder. He wears a blue vest with golden outer edges and inner edges covered by a prominent trimming of gray fur that appears similar to a feather boa over a short, cream top, leaving his muscular upper abdominals exposed. His arms are covered by dark blue gloves reaching up to his mid-bicep, with their upper edges being adorned by light gray bands hanging down several centimeters. He wears loose, cream-colored pants, similar to Natsu's, but held up by suspenders, which attach to the pant loops by square-shaped rings that are gold in color. Over them, he dons distinctive dark blue galosh-Esque footwear that reaches up to his thighs and attach to the upper edge of his pants. The prominent soles of the "boots" are distinctive in their own right; it has rectangular protrusions pointing upwards on their front portion, reminiscent of square fangs.

The other one is a slim young man of average height with rather messy black hair, which almost reaches down to his shoulders, along with some strands pointing upwards on top of his head and a prominent tuft obscuring most of his forehead. His hair is later brushed to the right side of his face covering up his right eye. He has red eyes with slit pupils similar to that of a snake's, like Gajeel's eyes. He wears a long, black cape reaching down to his feet, with golden edges, a much lighter collar circling his neck, and a prominent, white ribbon hanging down on his chest. Such cape bears a light Sabertooth's symbol on it, almost in correspondence to Rogue's left shoulder. Below it, Rogue seems to wear a plain gray shirt with prominent brown cuffs and what looks like a large metal band circling each of his biceps. From a light sash circling his waist hangs a distinctive, pale blue cloth waistguard, consisting of four long pieces of cloth reaching down below his knees. Each of these pieces is adorned by a large, dark cross with fan-shaped arms. Below such waistguard, Rogue wears a pair of armored boots, which, on the front, bear plates bearing the very same motif which appears on the waistguard.

"Who the hell are you?" Shadow asked.

"Heh, the name's Sting Eucliffe and he's Rogue Cheney, we're the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth!" Sting introduced him and Rogue.

"…So?" Shadow deadpanned.

"So?! Come on, have a little reaction, we're a big deal here." Sting snapped.

"All I'm seeing is a couple of brats thinking they're better than anyone just because of a fancy title, and you cry like babies when Fair Tail takes that title." Shadow proclaimed as he shows his Fairy Tail guild mark.

"Hey Sting, I think he's the Shadow guy we heard about." A red cat pointed out.

"Really? Well, that doesn't matter Lector because I'm going to crush him with my mighty third generation Dragon Slayer magic!" Sting declared.

"Yeah, you tell him!" Lector cheered.

"Frosch think so too!" A green cat wearing a pink frog outfit said.

"Yeah, whatever, come at us however you like." Shadow unimpressed and mocking them by picking his nose.

"Why you… you're lucky we have get back to our inn. Come on, guys." Sting growled as he walks away.

"We'll see you in the games, if you can get pass the preliminary round." Rogue said.

Asuka stick out her tongue at those meanies while Shadow and Natsu glares at them before they all headed back to the Honey Bone Inn.
