Maleficent awoke to a familiar bedroom shrouded in darkness and something very hot nestled in the crook of her arm. She took in her surroundings slowly through half closed lids. Her eyelids were so heavy. In fact, everything was heavy. She could hardly move. When she tried to call on her magic she couldn't feel much there.

"Mommy?" Her daughter sat up and threw her arms around her, purring so hard that she was shaking.

"Hello, dear. How long have I been asleep?"

"Six days."

"Six days?!" Mal exclaimed. "How is everyone? Help me up please."

"Okay." Mel took her hands and pulled to help her up. She pushed some pillows behind Mal's back to support her and carefully tucked the blankets under her arms.

"Thank you. Another hug please." She requested, smiling when Mel dove into her arms.

"We were scared for you, Mommy, but you were amazing! You killed that monster and saved everyone."

"Nonsense, I only helped." Mal said. "Have the others recovered?"

"Not yet. Everyone is still resting and Mommy is still healing everyone. Belle went to the store earlier today to get food for the grandmas and we planted the Pelas flowers."

"Good."

"Also, in case you woke up before she got back, Mommy made you an ice bath. She said that would help you."

"I'll do it in a moment. Right now...I need another hug." She giggled when Mel hugged her again. It was good to feel her child in her arms again. Safe and happy. She'd done what she set out to do and she was glad to be home again.

"I'll go tell the others you're awake." Mel said, hopping off the bed.

"Thank you, dear." Mal smiled as she watched her child dash out of the room. She took the time to go to the bathroom and make use of that ice bath. It was slow going as her entire body was so sore it was difficult to place one foot in front of the other. The bathtub had a sealing spell over it that faded when she touched it. It took several long minutes for her to climb into the tub and once she did, she took a deep breath and let herself sink beneath the water completely. There were a few minutes of calm awaiting her. She'd done what she set out to do and she had her mothers back in her life. They could meet her family and she could show them a new world and tell them about her life. She hoped they would like it. Of course they still had the idiots to deal with and the town, but they could always be ignored, even if her mothers couldn't leave. They could always find a way around it. If she had to create a perfect dragon haven in Storybrooke for her family, then so be it.

A soft tapping on the edge of the tub caused her to open her eyes and she saw the rippling form of her wife. Mal instantly sat up and was met with a soul searing kiss from Regina that chased away the chill of her ice bath. She looked into those warm brown eyes that she loved so much and smiled. "Hello, Regina."

"Hello, Maleficent." Regina returned her smile before flicking her on the nose.

"Ow."

"That's for scaring me half to death."

Mal smirked. "I'm sorry, dear. It was not my intention to worry you."

"I know." Regina pouted. "You really had to use erasure? That could've killed you! You are not leaving my sight for at least a week so be prepared to have a new shadow." She conjured a chunk of ice and placed it in the water. It melted within seconds due to the dragon's unnatural body heat. "I should get you some more ice. Are you still sore?"

Mal lifted her arms and legs. They were less sore than before, but she wouldn't be fighting again anytime soon. Regina conjured more ice and added it to the water until it was icy cold again.

"We're cuddling when you get done." Regina said, still pouting.

Mal relaxed back in the tub. "Of course. How is everyone?"

"Mostly sleeping. Zelena and Ruby have pretty much recovered. Their wounds were minor in comparison and I managed to regrow Ruby's fur that had been burned away." Mal hummed softly, glad that the two were okay. "Lily's asleep, still healing. I have spells healing her burns as we speak. I don't know if her scales have grown back."

"They will eventually."

Regina let out a sigh of relief. "Millie hasn't woken up yet. Cynder only slept for a day or so. She said she was tired of sleeping and I don't blame her, but she is laying down while my magic works."

"Good." Mal looked up at her wife with admiration. "You have everything in hand."

"Of course I do." Regina replied, walking behind her.

"You should rest."

"Nonsense. Lean forward." Mal obeyed and felt Regina's fingertips on the backs of her shoulders. She felt warmth flooding from those fingertips, easing some of her soreness. "You were severely weakened when you passed out. I'm impressed you stayed conscious as long as you did." Mal let out a purr in response, shaking the tub and drawing a small giggle from her wife. "Stop being cute."

"Impossible."

She could practically hear Regina roll her eyes before she moved around the tub again. "I have an idea for you to recover a bit more quickly."

"Oh?" Mal arched an eyebrow as Regina cupped her hands in front of her. Her eyes lit up gold and the dragon released a growl at the sight. "Don't do that. I am too weak to have sex right now."

Regina only smirked as she breathed fire into her cupped hands, forming a large fireball. Mal licked her lips, watching the flames curl around Regina's fingers, singing with the magical essence of her wife. She slid closer to it and looked up at Regina.

"You can take it, dear."

"You need this. You haven't rested in days and-"

"Take it, Maleficent." Regina commanded. "Don't worry about it. I took plenty of elixirs beforehand once Mel told me you were awake."

Mal licked her lips again and took a deep breath before inhaling the flames. She leaned back in the tub, letting the fire settle within her. Warmth spread throughout her extremities, as if she'd drank a cup of hot coffee on a cold day. More than that, she felt…Regina. Her wife, her mate, her magic, flowing through Mal, healing, restoring and energizing. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation. It left her tingling across her entire body. It almost tickled.

"Want me to make you a bed of coals so you can bask?" Regina asked, her voice suddenly very close to Mal's ear. "It's a sunny day."

"Actually, I would like the biggest, thickest steak you can find." Mal replied.

She heard a giggle from her wife as she moved towards the door. "How about I bring you a cow?"

"That'll do."

Mal relaxed in the tub for another twenty minutes. When the water had warmed and Regina's fire had dissipated, she stood up and stepped out. She was only a little sore now, but she was still unable to use her magic so she had to call Regina to dry her off.

"You could've done this on your own." Regina scoffed.

"I assumed you would do this with magic." Mal replied. She glanced down and smirked at seeing the gleeful grin on Regina's face as she bent down to rub Mal's right leg with a towel.

"That's not as fun."

Mal rolled her eyes and allowed Regina to have her fun. She did use magic to dry Mal's hair for her. She moved into the bedroom and Regina picked out a set of lingerie and a long green dress for her. Mal got dressed under her wife's curious gaze and followed her out of the room to check on her family.

"I know it's the afternoon," Regina said, "But I wanted everyone to relax while my magic works. Last I checked, Lily is still asleep and the children are with Belle and Zelena in the backyard picking Pelas flowers for Milicent. Ruby is in the kitchen preparing your steak."

Mal nodded and stepped up to the door of the guest room. She knocked twice before slowly opening the door and her heart nearly stopped. Her mothers had opened all of the windows and the balcony doors, allowing fresh air and sunlight to flood the room. Milicent was still laying in bed, but Cynder was walking around. She turned when she heard the door open and a bright smile lit up her face when she laid eyes on her daughter. It was a bit weird to see her warrior queen mother dressed in black yoga pants and a white t-shirt but she didn't have much time to ponder that before Cynder nearly tackled her in a bone crushing hug. Cynder was so warm, so real. It had been so long since she took the time to think about her mothers. She preferred to shut the pain away rather than reminisce and she never thought she would see them again. After so many years apart, her memories of them had begun to fade, but they were here now. Alive and real. The tears were hot against her cheeks before she knew it and Cynder was purring so hard she was trembling. After a minute, Cynder leaned back to look her up and down.

"You're so beautiful, Maleficent. So beautiful and strong and I am so proud of you." She hugged Mal again and it left Mal gasping for breath.

"Cynder, let her breathe." They turned to see Milicent getting off the bed. She was in a new red grecian style dress and she looked much better than she did days ago. There were still patches of discolored skin and scars from her healing wounds visible on her legs and her right arm, but for the most part, she seemed in good health and in good spirits.

"You got to spend time with her and I did not." Cynder replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and continuing to gaze at her child as if she had hung the sun in the sky. Mal found herself blushing under that look and quickly sought to end it. She put an arm around Regina and pushed her forward.

"Mothers, this is my mate and wife, Regina Mills. We couldn't have rescued you without her."

Regina momentarily glared at her and she could practically feel nervousness rolling off the normally confident woman. She wasn't surprised by that. Regina had expressed certain fears before they even went to the Forbidden Lands about being liked by her mothers. Mal didn't care if she was liked or not and she would not tolerate any disrespect towards the mother of her children. She assured Regina that nothing could tear them apart because at the end of the day, she had lived for hundreds of years without her mothers, but she would not live without Regina.

"Uh, hello." Regina said with a small bow.

"That is how you greet the mother of your mate?" Cynder asked, before smirking. "So nervous. Why?"

"I believe we are the ones who should be trembling in your presence." Milicent said. "After everything you've done and everything I've been told about you…You are remarkable." She smiled and gently took Regina's hands. "Relax. We are in your debt."

"No." Regina quickly shook her head. "You don't owe me anything. Seeing you with Mal is more than enough. But um, everything you've been told?"

"Yes, we've had a few visitors since our arrival."

Regina rolled her eyes. "I told them to let you rest."

"Resting is the furthest thing from my mind." Cynder replied. "Besides, they showed me this shiny box with moving pictures and I got to watch a giant monster destroy a city that apparently isn't real." She looked at the tv like it was a magical artifact or something.

They heard a soft knock on the door and it cracked open. Sarai and Mel started to come in but turned right around when they saw Regina and Mal.

"Get in here, you two." Regina said, arching an eyebrow as her daughter and granddaughter walked in with their heads bowed. "I told you to let your grandmothers rest while my magic worked."

"Grandma Cynder was bored." Mel said.

All of them turned to Cynder when the elder dragon let out a loud purr and opened her arms to her granddaughter. Mel didn't hesitate to hug her.

"I'm Grandma Cynder." She giggled.

"She's right, Grandma." Sarai added, looking at Regina. "They've kinda been asleep for years so we just showed them some movies while they waited for everyone to recover."

Mal looked at Regina, who rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll let it go. Next time, you do as I say." The girls nodded, both grinning from ear to ear. "Shall we see if lunch is ready then?"

"Yes!" The girls each took a hand to lead Cynder and Millie downstairs.

Mal gave her wife a fond look and stepped aside for her to go first. "We should take them shopping later and show them Storybrooke."

"Agreed. I went to the store so we should have plenty of food."

"Excellent. I plan to eat it all."

Regina smiled. "After six days of sleeping, you must be starving."

"I am."

"And thirsty. Make sure you drink at least two bottles of water in human form before you drink any wine. And some in dragon form."

"Yes. ma'am." Mal smirked. She raised her head when the aroma of cooking meat hit her nose. She heard Regina laugh but her stomach growling drowned it out. When they reached the kitchen she almost dove onto the table seeing the spread Ruby and Zelena had cooked up. Jade was watching Lily carve up a turkey while Belle plated a large steak that she knew was meant for her. There were also plates of roasted vegetables, baked potatoes with melted cheese that she wanted and baked rolls. Mal quickly sat down and rubbed her hands together.

"Glad to see you're up, Mom." Lily smirked.

"I am and I am starving. Let's eat!" She paused when her stomach growled again and Lily laughed, moving a nice hunk of turkey to her plate.

Zelena returned from the garden, carrying a basket of purple flowers. She used magic to clean them before putting them into a bowl for Millie. "I built a greenhouse by the way. I swear, every bug in Storybrooke wanted these flowers."

"I told you, the nectar is like honey." Mal replied. "Now sit so I can eat." Everyone soon found a place to sit and started to dig in. While she filled her plate to be devoured and drank the water Regina had requested, the children explained to Cynder and Millie what everything was since they might not have recognized it and so Millie wouldn't make a mistake and eat any meat.

"You have to learn to make a vegetarian lasagna now, Regina." Belle said.

Regina smiled, glancing at Millie, who was eating just as ravenously as her daughter. Since she was also just waking up, she hadn't eaten yet either. "I agree. And we will have to start buying more vegetables and Millie won't be the only one eating them." She paused to playfully glare at her daughters and granddaughter. Jade and Roland were pretty good about eating their vegetables. She was going to have to learn to make a lot of vegetarian alternatives for Millie now. She didn't mind it and she quickly made a few decisions to start looking up new recipes. A garden would also be a good idea. Otherwise Storybrooke might start experiencing some food shortages. She didn't think dragons needed to feed their dragon form but she could be wrong, and if she was, Storybrooke's newest residents were large enough to clean the place out.

Regina conjured a small notebook to write down a few ideas. Perhaps she could use the area around the dwarf tunnels that Mal had filled in. No one lived near there and nobody used the area because it could've been hazardous but it was perfect for a farm. She also made a note to go into the Land Without Magic to get some seeds. Fruits, vegetables, grains, all of it. If it turned out that Cynder and Millie could leave, it all might not be necessary but she would rather have a surplus of food than a shortage. Not to mention Mal talking about wanting another clutch… She would have to be fed then as well, and more than usual.

"What are you writing?" Zelena asked, peering over to look at her notebook.

"Just things we have to do. We should also go shopping eventually and see if Cynder and Millie can leave Storybrooke."

"Why wouldn't we be able to?" Cynder asked.

"Storybrooke is a bit odd. When Mal was resurrected she couldn't leave the town or else she would return to ashes." Regina answered. "We're not certain what changed to allow her to leave. The town's borders are usually sealed and on the other side is the Land Without Magic. Because you're magical creatures, it's not a guarantee that you can cross."

"And if we can't?" Cynder asked.

"Well, we'll just have to move back here. You could also go back to the Enchanted Forest, if you'd like."

The blonde dragon instantly shook her head. "Nonsense. We are a family again. We're not going anywhere without all of you."

"I would like a tour." Millie said. "To see your home and to see the town I heard that you built, Regina."

Regina sighed, already knowing how well the dragons would be welcomed. "If that is your wish, I won't deny it, but I must say that we have few friends here."

"That's fine." Millie smirked. "I am sure that the townspeople will not affect me."

"They won't." Cynder and Mal said in unison.

Like mother, like daughter.

After lunch, the family cleaned up, took about an hour to let their food digest and then Regina led them through Storybrooke. It was amusing to see the age old dragons looking around in childlike wonder and trying to touch or sniff everything they found unfamiliar. Of course they went shopping and Mal all but threatened her when she offered to pay for their items. She relented and the grin Mal gave her made her heart flutter. Shopping was an interesting experience with the children wanting to show Millie and Cynder the entire store, especially all of the toys that Mal ended up buying. They were less interested in clothes shopping. Lily and Ruby seemed to play a sort of game trying to see what they could get the elder dragons to try on and each article of clothing was more scandalous than the last. Millie happily complied with their requests while Cynder looked mildly confused by them. Millie's style was simplistic. She enjoyed wearing long dresses more than anything and Regina helped her find many to her liking in different styles. Cynder's preferred style was similar to Mal's and white was her favorite of course. The color of a dragon's scales often determined their favorite colors. Except Sarai, whose favorite was green, much to Zelena and Jade's delight.

After buying a mountain of clothes and toys, they teleported everything back to the house and Regina showed them her vault.

"This is lovely but there is no treasure room, Regina." Cynder murmured, peeking through her closet.

"She has one." Mal smirked, kissing Regina's temple. "What's mine is hers."

"Look, Grandma Cynder," Mel came towards them, holding one of Regina's swords. Cynder took it and unsheathed it and eyed the ebony blade with a smile. "Cool, huh?"

"A black sword? I love it. Did you forge it?"

"No, it's just conjured."

"That's cheating, but okay."

Regina walked into a separate room and returned magically carrying a chest of jewels to show off. As the Evil Queen, she was so focused on Snow White that she didn't really care about diamonds and gems. Yes, she wore them as queen, but she didn't care about them. She didn't care about losing them or them falling off in the middle of battles. They were just objects to symbolize her station and that went for many things she had as queen. She didn't admire them the way a dragon would.

Even now, she couldn't help but smile as Cynder picked up a jewel and held it up to her eye. "Did you make these?"

"No. They were bought or probably stolen."

This made Cynder frown for a second, before she held out her hand towards her. Regina took it. "You are a human." She said, looking just confused as Regina felt. Her statement was posed like a question, as if she hadn't realized it yet.

"Yes."

"Is there a problem with that?" Mal asked.

"Of course not. I mean dragons are better in every way but there's nothing wrong with being human." Cynder replied. "I just had not noticed. Why haven't you changed her?" She asked.

"Oh please, she can't even take it when I change into a dragon with a spell." Regina scoffed.

"Wait a minute," Millie walked around to stand in front of her. "Did you give birth as a human? To a dragon egg?"

"Yes-"

"Holy shit." Both women said in unison.

"You shouldn't be surprised." Lily put an arm around Regina's shoulders. "Literally the best mom and most resilient person in the world. She has the Heart of the Most Resilient too. Doesn't even need to be a dragon." Regina smiled and hugged her daughter.

"My respect for you has skyrocketed." Cynder said. "Millie broke my arm during Maleficent"s birth."

"I don't deal with pain very well." Millie added.

"As evidenced by you smacking the shit out of us in the Forbidden Lands." Mal scoffed.

"You stabbed me with purple toadstool poison!" Millie suddenly roared.

"I pricked you with a pin." Mal replied.

"You know what…" The two became a blur as Millie took off after Mal. The children ran after them, yelling encouragement to Millie and Regina heard Mal yell something about traitors before they made it outside.

"I'll go make sure no one gets hurt." Belle volunteered, leaving the room.

"I hope you found no offense with what I said." Regina turned back to her mother in law with eyebrows raised. "Human or dragon, you are my daughter's wife and mate and worthy of respect. I hope I didn't upset you."

"Of course not." Regina motioned for her to take a seat on one of the black couches. She sat down as well, pushing Lily until she made room. "Truthfully, we talked about changing me into a dragon years ago, but then there was a whole mess with my exes. They tried to kill Mal and almost all of us were caught in the crosshairs in some way and we decided that we couldn't stay here. So we left. Storybrooke is the only known place in this world that has magic. We could still use ours when we left but it was dramatically weaker. So there was never a good time to do it. And besides, if I was a dragon, we'd have fifteen kids by now."

Cynder was quiet for a while as she processed her story. "And these exes of yours are still alive?"

"They are. They had children." She was hesitant to talk about Henry. She would eventually because she knew they would ask, but she wasn't in the mood for that conversation today. "It's a long story. They're still alive and you can't kill them."

"So be it, but you should. Kill them, I mean."

"Maybe later."

"Also, they should not be able to control you the way you say they have. If you had killed them, you would not have been forced to leave. If Maleficent had changed you into a dragon years ago, you would have been more powerful and better equipped to fight them. A dragon is harder to kill than a human, no?"

Regina sighed and nodded. "I agree. Mel said about the same thing."

"And what's wrong with fifteen kids? Millie and I will love all of our grandchildren."

"By the gods…Not you too."

"You okay, kid?" Emma asked, looking over at Henry. He glanced up from his ice cream and simply nodded before digging back into his treat. Presently, the Charming Clan were sitting outside Granny's, enjoying the day. Emma had been spoiling Henry since he'd come back from the Forbidden Lands. She'd bought him comic books, toys, let him pick what he wanted for dinner every night and now they were having ice cream. She couldn't even remember the last time the whole family was sitting at one table and actually enjoying the experience. The improvement in her mother was like night and day and she couldn't stop gushing about how much better Emma looked.

She felt her mother beaming at her and she rolled her eyes. "Mom, can you relax?"

"I know," Snow squealed, squeezing her arm. "But I'm just happy that you're doing better."

"Of course I am. I have my son back." Emma smiled.

"And it's good to have him back." David agreed. "What do you want to do after this?"

"Um…" He took a moment to think and while he did so, Emma leaned back and took a look around.

Despite how much she hated being pushed out of power by Regina and the Queens of Darkness, she had to admit that they'd done a good job repairing the town and more people were on the street every day, spending time outside and admiring the decor. Storybrooke was full of life again and it made her both extremely happy and immensely angry all at once. Storybrooke was always supposed to be this way and if Regina had not faked her own death, it never would have changed. She still could not dismiss the burning anger that flared to life when she thought about Regina and her sudden return. She had drowned in grief and guilt for those ten years and when Regina came back, no one was more pleased than she was, but that anger remained. It only grew worse the more she thought about it. Regina didn't even care what her actions had caused. Just like before, all she cared about were those stupid dragons.

As if on cue, the world suddenly grew dark and the Charmings looked up at the massive creature flying overhead. Where Maleficent was huge, this dragon was gargantuan, with a wingspan large enough to throw the entire street into shadow when she passed. This dragon had white scales and looked more like an ice dragon of some sort.

"Which one is that?" David scowled.

"That must be one of Maleficent's mothers." Snow murmured. "She was fighting in the Forbidden Lands."

"It's Cynder." Henry said, ignoring the dragon entirely and focusing on his ice cream.

David sighed. "What are we going to do about it?"

"Nothing." Emma answered. "I don't see what we could do. They have the power to do whatever they want and we can't stop them. Besides, these new dragons are a new kind of danger and I don't want anyone hurt so make sure you tell the rest of the people that."

"What do you mean? We've dealt with Maleficent-"

"That's not Maleficent, Dad." Emma flicked an eyebrow at him. Did he really think every dragon was just like Maleficent? They had no information on Storybrooke's new dragons beyond whatever they'd overheard when Henry was stuck in the Forbidden Lands. Even if they had information, she wasn't sure she wanted another fight with a dragon. Especially not when her leg was still cursed.

"She's right." Henry said, his eyes still on his sundae. "Maleficent cursed people to make them suffer. Cynder won't bother. She'll just kill you."

Emma nodded in his direction. "Cynder and Milicent have no connection to us. Maleficent didn't kill us before because of Regina and it's ridiculous to believe they'll do the same thing. So, don't do anything." Her father finally shrugged and turned back to ice cream. "But we're going to have to go see them one day this week, Henry."

Her son instantly scowled. "Why?"

"To thank them for keeping you safe."

"If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have been in the Forbidden Lands."

"If you hadn't been following them, you wouldn't have been there either."

He only rolled his eyes. "You just want to see Regina. You don't have to pretend it's because of me."

"No, you do need to thank them." Emma said. "How I feel is irrelevant."

"Fine, but can we go riding later on?"

"Sure." She hated it, but she did want to see Regina again. She also wasn't stupid. She knew any apology from Henry would just be an empty gesture and he most certainly had not learned his lesson from this. He could thank Maleficent but he would never mean it and she was sure the dragons would already know this.

After they finished eating, they walked over to the dragon mansion since Henry wanted to get the apology over with. There were no dragons in sight when they approached, but that meant little. Henry knocked on the door and it was opened by Zelena. Before they'd even said anything the redhead had already walked away, calling for Regina. The former queen came to the door and Emma wanted to roll her eyes. Did the woman ever cease to look perfect? Emma tried and failed not to look Regina up and down. Her dress was a light gray and wrapped around her form deliciously. It was a bit more casual than anything she remembered Regina used to wear. Her hair being pulled back with two strands framing her face was also a new hairstyle. Emma's arm started to itch when she spotted the diamond necklace nestled in Regina's cleavage with Maleficent's name on it. She had to fight the urge to scratch her arm.

"What can I help you with, Charmings?" Regina asked. All of them looked down when Roland stepped in front of her. Emma hadn't really seen him since Regina got back to town but she could tell that he looked a thousand times better than before. Regina probably used magic on him because he wasn't as skinny as before, his cheeks were flush with color and his hair was once more fluffy and bushy. His gray shirt almost matched Regina's dress and his black shorts had a detailed t-rex on one side.

He didn't say anything. He just glared at Henry, who rolled his eyes.

"Are you going to do this every time I try to talk to her?"

"Yes."

"Why?'

"Because you're a crazy bastard who-"

"Roland." Regina put her hands on his shoulders. "It's okay." He didn't budge. "You were saying, Charmings?"

Emma tapped Henry, who sighed, looking like he wanted to be anywhere else but here. "I wanted to thank you, Zelena, Maleficent and Ruby for keeping me safe in the Forbidden Lands."

"This is how you say 'thank you'?" Roland asked.

"He's right." Regina added. "Henry, why waste our time with this? You don't mean it. Even though Mal and the others put their lives on the line for you, almost got stuck in the Forbidden Lands because of you and got hurt defending you, you still can't say "thank you" and actually mean it." Before he could dispute her words, Regina was already walking away. Roland glared at Henry one more time before following her.

"Told you." Henry said.

A minute later, Mal came to the door. She was the only one. Emma fought the urge to scowl at the way the older blonde practically glowed. She was in form fitting red gown and ruby necklace to match. "Let me guess," She said, leaning against the doorway. "You've come to apologize for meddling where you shouldn't have been? Thank us for risking our lives for yours? A poor trade that would've been." Mal asked before looking at Emma. "Or have you come to be close to my wife? I'm quite sick of your attempts to worm your way back into her life. Your pathetic excuses to talk to her or see her." She took a step back. "I don't care what you have to say. Do not let me find you on my doorstep again." And with that, she slammed the door.

Henry turned to Emma. "Happy you got to see Regina?"

"Shut up. Let's just go to the stables." She turned around and waited a moment for her parents to take the lead back to the car before limping after them. She wasn't sure what made her look up to the home across the street. Maybe it was a flash or some kind of movement that caught her eye. She did look up and she saw the figure in the window just before they fired. The projectile passed overhead and she turned to follow it. It hit Regina's front door and the eruption that followed sent Emma flying. The world spun violently and her hearing was knocked out instantly. Where she landed, she wasn't even sure. There was so much pain and heat. She felt someone trying to move her and she wanted to scream at them to stop. She opened her eyes and willed her vision to stop swimming. Fire was everywhere. She had to close her eyes again, but she also knew that she needed to move. She needed to find Henry and her parents. And as much as she hated it, a part of her worried for Regina and her family. That bomb or whatever it was, it was meant for them.
