Six months later...

"Just here." Tsunade pointed at a specific part of the document.

Kakashi signed his name then Sakura's, they were smiling as they hand over the documents to Tsunade. She eyed the couple before speaking. "You do understand that once I affix my signature and seal to this, there's no going back."

"We understand, Tsunade-shishou." Sakura said, her eyes shining bright once again.

"And Kakashi?"

"I did sign my name there without a kunai against my side, Hokage-sama." He answered causing Sakura to playfully smack his arm.

"Okay, then." Tsunade signed the documents and stamped her seal. "It's official. Congratulation, Mr. and Mrs. Hatake."

Sakura smiled widely as she heard her new name. She wished that one day she'll be able to carry that name, but it all shattered when he broke up with her. But life has a way to surprise you, they were given another chance at happiness.

As Tsunade completed the paperwork, Kakashi and Sakura exchanged a glance filled with love and anticipation. The journey had been challenging, filled with ups and downs, but they had come out of it stronger than ever.

They opted not have a ceremony, as their love is not just for show. Signing a marriage contract is just a formality, in their hearts they are already married.

"Shizune," Tsunade called out to her secretary and her friend. Handing her a document. "File this to the civil registry, okay?"

"Hai, Hokage-sama." Shizune answered. "Congratulations, Sakura, Kakashi."

"Arigatou." Sakura answered. She then turned to her... husband, the title just rolled of her tongue. She interlaced her fingers through his and smiled at him.

Sakura was about to guide him outside when he reached into his pocket and handed Tsunade a paper. Her master furrowed her brows as she accepts the paper.

"It's me, giving you my intention to retire from active service, Hokage-sama."

Sakura looked surprised to Kakashi. She didn't know that he plans this.

"Well, I can't really stop you, Kakashi." Tsunade answered. "You've been in the active service for 36 years, without any stop aside from the short rests in between missions and when you were tied to the bed in the hospital since you were six. You already dedicated your whole life into the village. Which is more than I can ask of you. Go ahead be happy in your new endeavor." She said smiling as she affixes her stamp into the paper. And crossing Kakashi's name from her list of active shinobis.

"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Kakashi bowed to his superior.

As they left Tsunade's office, Kakashi and Sakura walked hand in hand, their hearts lightened by the prospect of a new chapter in their lives. Sakura couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness as she looked at her husband.

"So, what now?" Sakura asked, a playful glint in her eyes.

Kakashi chuckled. "Now, we live our lives. We can travel, start a family if you want, or just enjoy each other's company."

Sakura smiled, the weight of the past now replaced with the promise of a bright future. "I like the sound of that, especially the family part. Whatever we do, we'll do it together."

"Together." he said.

And as they walked out of the Hokage's office, the sun shining brightly overhead, Kakashi and Sakura embraced the unknown with open hearts, ready to face whatever challenges and joys life had in store for them.
