"Hey, Frieda." Eren called, as he opened the carriage door, letting a small ray of sunlight in the carriage, shining on Frieda's face.

Frieda gasped as she had woken up from inside the black carriage. She lied and slept on her side, until she heard the sound of Eren's voice. She slowly sat up from the long seat and slowly wiped her eyes. She yawned, while placing a hand over her mouth. She opened her eyes to see Eren standing with the carriage door open.

"Did you sleep well, Frieda?" Eren asked.

"Mm-hmm, I did. But, you seem a bit tired, though." Frieda pointed at Eren's face, as she noticed the light bags under Eren's eyes.

"Don't worry about it. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure? Because I can-"

"Yeah. There were times that I've stayed up overnight until the sun had risen." Eren once thought about his experience of staying up with Hange, listening to her stories and theories.

Frieda stayed quiet for a few seconds and looked down. "Are we in Shiganshina?"

"Yeah, we're here." Eren replied. "Come on." He stretched his right hand toward her.

"Mmph." Frieda nodded, then reached for Eren's hand with her own.

Some Time Later...

Adult Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss were currently roaming through the center of Shiganshina District to reach their destination. Eren Yeager's old house. As they roamed, Eren carried Frieda's bag of luggage over his shoulder, again. They roamed and passed by many people who also roamed through the Shiganshina streets and saw many markets, churches and stores. They even saw Pastor Nicholas and a few other cultists standing outside of a church. Preaching to civilians about their beliefs.

"Hey, Frieda." Eren called. "When we get to my old house, call me by my dad's compatriot's last name."

"Your dad's compatriot's last name?" Frieda questioned.

"Yeah. He saved my dad from certain death, long ago. And he also gave him a new life purpose. His name was Eren Kruger." Eren had informed Frieda about the late Eren Kruger.

"Eren... Kruger..." Frieda chanted as she walked. "That sounds nice, but why not use your regular last name?" Frieda asked.

"Because I don't want there to be a little mix-up between me, my younger counterpart or anyone else, you know?" Eren said as he thought of his younger counter part, who's ten years old. "That's why I want to be known as Kruger..."

"Okay, I get it." Frieda chuckled, then thought of something. "Oh! Speaking of you, what do you think your younger self could be doing?" Frieda asked.

"Probably collecting wood with Mikasa right about now. It would be awkward if we somehow ran into them, before saving Shiganshina, you know?" Eren said.

Frieda chuckled again. "You're right. It would be really awkward."

Suddenly, the Shiganshina District bell had rung in the middle of the city. Informing lots of people within Shiganshina-including Adult Eren and Frieda that the Survey Corp. has returned to the walls.

"What's going on?" Frieda asked as she heard the bell ring. She and Eren stopped for a moment and looked at the Shiganshina city bell from a distance.

"The Survey Corp. is coming back from a failed mission." Eren stated as he stared at the bell. As he heard the bell ring, he knew that his younger counterpart and Mikasa were going to see the failed and injured Survey Corp. "Come on. Let's hurry."

Meanwhile...

Elsewhere in Shiganshina... a younger Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman were walking home through the Shiganshina streets while carrying wood on their backs. They, too, had stopped once they heard the Shiganshina city bell.

A Ten-year-old Eren Yeager happily gasped. "The Survey Corp. made it back!" He then grabbed Mikasa's right arm and started to run to the front walls. "Come on, let's go!"

Mikasa gasped as she was dragged by the adolescent Eren. "Wait, Eren!"

After roaming through the heart of Shiganshina-which took how long... Adult Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss had finally arrived to Eren's old house. They stood on the front porch and Eren had removed Frieda's bag of luggage from his shoulder.

"This is where you lived?" Frieda asked as she stared at Eren's house, temporarily.

"Yes. This place also hasn't changed a bit." Eren said as he remembered what the house looked like, before it had been crushed by a large boulder.

"It looks wonderful." Frieda commented.

"Thanks. My dad chose this house to live in. He knew this house had a basement inside and that's where he kept most of his work and secrecy about the outside world." Eren stated.

"Intriguing."

Carla Yeager opened her front door to see her adult son, again and this time, Frieda Reiss standing before her. "Ah! Hello, again, Kruger." Carla said, feeling positive. She then looked at Frieda who stood next to Adult Eren.

"Hello, Miss Carla. My name is Frieda. I'm Eren's girlfriend." Frieda happily introduced herself.

Eren lightly gasped after listening Frieda.

"Eren?" Carla asked.

Frieda gasped, learning that she had said Eren's real name. "K-Kruger! Eren Kruger!" A small blush had appeared on her face. "That's what I meant to say. I'm Eren Kruger's girlfriend." She laughed, embarrassingly.

As Carla listened to Frieda, she then glanced at her adult son, Eren. "Eren Kruger..." She stared at her adult son for a moment as she had caught his attention. 'He kind of looks like Eren, too.'

Eren felt a tiny bit nervous as his mother stared at him, deeply. 'She's on to me.'

For a moment, Carla locked her golden eyes onto Eren and then... she laughed-which threw both Eren and Frieda off a bit. "That's ironic. Why didn't you tell me that your first name was Eren from the start?"

"Sorry. I guess I didn't want to get people confused between names. That's all." Eren rubbed his nose with his right index.

"Eren Kruger... Funny. I have a son named Eren. But his last name is Yeager."

"Um, Misses Yeager? Is Doctor Yeager home?" Eren asked.

"Mm-hmm. My husband is here. Is something wrong?" Carla asked.

"We have something important to discuss with him." Eren asked Carla.

"What is so important with my husband?"

"I'm afraid that we can't say... it involves the doctor and his other clients." Eren responded.

"His other clients... Hmm..." Carla thought a bit, as she looked at Eren a bit. "Okay. You can come in." She opened the door wide enough to see let them both in.

"Thank you very much." Frieda smiled at Carla. She then walked inside the Yeager home, first. Following behind her was Eren who walked in and carried Frieda's luggage inside.

As Carla was being passed by her adult son, her golden eyes caught a glimpse of Eren's right ear being red. This brought a little suspicion to her mind.

As Eren walked inside his old house and set Frieda's luggage down by his closed front door. They both sat at the family table across from one another.

"Please wait here and enjoy yourself for some tea. I will let my husband know that you're here for business." Carla then proceeds to leave her adult son and Frieda alone at the family table to inform her husband, Grisha.

"This place bring back memories." Eren said.

"Does it?" Frieda asked as she looked toward Eren.

"Yeah. After the wall fell, I haven't been able to come here for about five years." Eren stated.

"Five years? It's been that long?"

Eren nodded. "The Survey Corp. had just stopped Bertoldt and Reiner from destroying this city-and we had to finish fulfilling the commander's wishes."

"What was the commander's wish?"

"You see that floor door over there?" Eren asked, which made Frieda look to her left and see a floor door. "Beneath that floor door is a basement. That's where dad keeps his special medicine and knowledge of the outside world. "The Commander, Erwin wanted to reach that basement and learn the truth of humanity. But never lived to reach it. I don't know how he knew of my dad's basement, though..."

Carla had returned to the kitchen to inform Eren and Frieda. "My husband will be coming down, shortly."

"Okay." Frieda sipped some of the tea that Carla made. "I like your tea, Misses Yaeger." Frieda smiled.

"Why thank you, Frieda."

"Where did you learn to make tea this good, Miss Carla? Frieda asked."

"I used to work as a waitress in a restaurant. I learned how to cook food and make beverages for customers. But that was a few years, before I met my husband." Carla explained as she cleaned dishes.

"Maybe, I can learn to one day make food like you, Misses Yeager?" Frieda asked.

"Please, call me, Miss Carla." Carla told Frieda. Feeling a bit thrilled. She then glanced at Eren, who only had taken a single bite of the bread. "And what about you, Mister Kruger?" Carla slightly glanced at Eren.

"Eh?" Eren looked towards Carla's direction.

"What do you think of my tea?" Carla asked Eren.

Eren pause for two seconds, then looked at the table he was sitting at. "It's fine."

Carla stared at Eren as he had taken a second bite. She had taken a good look at his face, again. In her mind, his face had looked familiar to someone she knew... but couldn't figure it out. Then, she spotted that his right earlobe was still red. She remained silent for a moment. 'Hm,'

Suddenly, Grisha Yaeger had walked into kitchen from another room, fully dressed casual doctor clothes. Both Eren and Frieda, whom both sat at the table had turned towards Grisha.

"Good morning, dear." Grisha said as he entered the kitchen.

"Good morning, Grisha." Carla walked over and kissed Grisha on the cheek. "Mister Kruger and Miss Frieda are here and they want to discuss something important about your clients."

Grisha looked over to the table. "Ah, yes. My clients." Grisha then looked at both his adult son, Eren and Frieda Reiss. Whom he recognized as the King of the Walls from his previous future memories. "If you both don't mind, please, follow me." Grisha said as he stood by the basement door.

Inside of Grisha's Basement...

"It is an honor to meet you, King of the Walls." Grisha greeted Frieda with great respect. He, his adult son, Eren and Frieda stood within Grisha's own basement where he hid knowledge and medicine in. Eren stood by the wall next to the stairs as Eren and Frieda stood across each other. Grisha's desk was the only thing betwen them.

"Likewise, Doctor Yeager." Frieda responded.

"I am happy that you want to help protect Paradis and everyone in it. " Grisha said.

"I am, too." Frieda smiled. "But to be honest. I probably wouldn't even have the will to help-due to the Vow of Pacifism taking over me."

Eren glanced at Frieda, temporarily.

"I see." Grisha stared at Frieda as he knew what she meant. He then thought of his deceased mentor, Eren Kruger. "Now, before we can move about the Marleyans, I must personally apologize to you."

"Thank you, but there is no need to apologize. Eren already told me what you would've done. To protect the walls." Frieda shook her head, no.

"Did he..." Grisha muttered and blinked.

"Three years ago... I chose to inherit the Founder from my uncle, Uri... I told my family that I wouldn't let the ghosts of the past haunt me-only to soon succumb to the King's Vow of Pacifism." Frieda said as she thought of her past.

Flashback

A Fifteen-year-old Frieda Reiss had stood before her uncle, Uri Reiss inside of an underground chapel. Uri stood on top of a platform with his arms and legs chained and restrained. Uri had a look on his face, telling his family that he had nothing to lose.

Frieda Reiss cried as she had injected herself with the Titan serum. Within the next twenty seconds, Frieda had transformed into a mindless Pure Titan. But before Frieda could attack anyone... Uri Reiss used the Founder to control Frieda and have his niece devour him.

And after successfully devouring Uri, Frieda Reiss had shifted back into her human form. When she opened her eyes, her pupils were the color of purple. Signifying that the Vow of Pacifism had taken over her mind.

End Flashback

"From that point on... I became a slave. Not to my family or any religion-but to the vow that King Karl Fritz had made." Frieda had thought back she was fifteen years old.

Frieda Reiss imagined herself within the Paths. Sitting on a large pile of sand and a steel collar placed on her neck. And chains attached to the collar while the end of the chains were buried deep into the sand. Frieda wore the white dress she had worn when she had injected herself with the Titan syringe. She wore no sandals or shoes. Just barefoot. Her smooth and long black hair was a bit dirty. Her eyes shined a bright purple color and her face seemed emotionless. The sky around her was dark and a large bluish-white treelike figure had shined next to her.

"I couldn't run. I couldn't scream. I couldn't reveal anything to anyone-not even to my own loved ones without the Vow penetrating my mind. I was completely alone and helpless. Sometimes when I fall asleep, I would wake up within the Paths. And I would remember crying. Knowing that I could never escape my fate." Tears streamed down Frieda's emotionless face as she stayed stranded the paths.

"For three years, I had to keep enduring that hell." Frieda suddenly remembered crying behind a fence after leaving and erasing Historia's memory.

Grisha looked down at his desk as he listened to Frieda's story. He felt bad that a young girl, like Frieda had to endure such fate.

"But then... someone answered to my cries. And that person happened to be Eren." Frieda mumbled.

Eren remained silent as he looked at Frieda.

"He found me. He knew I was suffering from the Vow-even if I refused help to save everyone. And he ultimately freed me from the Vow of Pacifism." Frieda then thought of the previous night.

Flashback

Frieda Reiss heard all of her family's pleas and encouragement to not listen to and get rid of Eren Yeager. She sighed and turned towards Eren to give him her final verdict. "I'm sorry, Eren, but I-Mmph!" Before Frieda could finish saying what she had to say, she was quickly shushed by a Nineteen-year old Eren, who pressed his lips against hers. Kissing her. Frieda's eyes opened in shock, as he felt his tongue roaming down her throat.

End Flashback

"As I felt Eren kissing me, I could feel the King's Vow slipping from my mind. And then..."

Brief Flashback

As Frieda was being kissed by a guy whom she had just met, Frieda suddenly appeared inside of the paths within her mind. Frieda remained stranded, on a pile of sand with chains around her neck. In the next ten seconds, a Nineteen-year-old Eren Yeager had appeared in the paths, as well. He ran straight towards Frieda, the moment he saw her. As soon as Eren caught up with her, he immediately gripped one of the chains around her neck and wripped it off.

Frieda gasped as she felt one of the chains break loose. The shining purple color from her pupils begun fade back to a light blue color. She glanced upwards and gasped when she saw Eren. "W... what are you doing?"

"Don't talk right now, Frieda! I'm going to free you from this burden!" Eren yelled, before breaking off another chain attached to the collar from around her neck.

Frieda had a look of shock at first, then turned it into a look of relief as she realized that Eren was trying to release her from her suffering. This made her eyes water out of joy and her mouth formed a smile. She then helped Eren-help free herself from the collar from around her neck. It took a minute to rip off the collar from around her neck. As soon as Frieda was broken loose from the chains, the Vow of Pacifism had vanished into thin air. Her eyes had turned light blue, again.

Afterwards, Eren picked Frieda up onto her feet and hugged her in his arms. "It's over. You're free, now." Eren muttered as he hugged her.

Frieda sniffled as she was happy to hear that. "Thank you, Eren." She let tears stream down her face as she was happy to be free from her burden.

End Flashback

"When Eren had stopped kissing me, that's when I knew that the pacifist Vow was gone. I was free." Frieda told Grisha with a relief of joy on her face. "Eren-he saved me. And now, I'm able to change everything."

Grisha sighed, heavily and sat down at his desk. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that."

"Now all that's left is to save Wall Maria." Eren said.

A Few Minutes Later...

Adult Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss had temporarily parted ways with Grisha and Carla Yeager to head toward the front Shiganshina wall. Shortly after they left, a ten-year-old Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman arrived at their home. After storing wood inside of the family chimney, Carla had checked the left ear of a young adolescent Eren and noted it to be red. He then sat down at a table. As soon as he did, he noticed a certain seat was warmer than expected.

"Mom? Was anyone sitting in this chair?" Eren asked, not knowing who sat in the chair he sat in.

"Hm? Oh! We just had a few guests visit, today." Carla

"There were guests, here?" Mikasa asked.

"Mm-hmm. Your father had two guests arrive, today." Carla then turned from the sink and looked at her young son, who was sitting at the table. She lightly gasped as she saw a complete resemblance and compared the mystery person called Eren Kruger, to her son.

"Mom?"

"Mm-hmm."

A young Eren then looked at his dad. "Hey, dad. Where are you going?"

"I have another patient in the interior. It might take up to a week." Grisha explained that he'd be going to Wall Sheena.

The Yaeger family were fine in the kitchen. Carla was doing dishes again, Grisha was preparing to leave for work, a young Eren was eating lunch and a young Mikasa remained quiet for a minute.

"So, um... Eren wants to join the Survey Corp." A young Mikasa muttered.
