It was something they wanted to talk about but for some reason never did. Things were finally back to normal after their trip to Mexico and Angela getting fired from Wallace and McQuade. Tony had convinced her to open her own agency and had found an abandoned office for her in the heart of Manhattan. It wasn't as big as Wallace and McQuade but it had charm and Tony knew that sooner or later Angela would be just as-if not more- successful. Everyone was relieved that the whole crisis was over with and that the Angela they knew and loved was back. But still that nagging question remained on all of their minds:

What about the pool?

After they had come back from Mexico filled with happiness and fond memories Angela had told them that her work was no longer her life. "My life is my life." she had said with a small smile on her face. She told them they could have as much fun here as they did in Mexico and that's when the idea of building a pool came to her. It would be so much fun she secretly decided. She had loved swimming since she was a child and seeing the joy on Sam and Jonathan's faces made the decision all the more worthwhile. They immediately started planning on what they were going to do. Slides, floats, pool parties, a pool phone. They hardly ever were in agreement with each other but the idea of them having a pool bonded them in a way that was both cute and endearing.

So plans were made and contractors were hired. But then the bottom fell out when she was fired. Suddenly she felt lost and couldn't make a simple decision about what color blue to use. And that was when Tony became concerned that Angela was giving up and it scared him. She had always been someone who knew what she wanted and went after it but now she couldn't even make a simple decision. So Tony had no choice but to give her some tough love. It hadn't been easy. Every time he tried to pick her up she shot herself down. It was frustrating. She was one of the most strong and determined people that he had ever known. But now that Angela was gone and in her place was this defeated one. He wanted his-well their Angela back. The one he had said they all cared about and loved. So he suggested she open her own agency. And yes he knew it wasn't going to be easy. But she had experience and he believed in her. She in turn had been incredulous at the suggestion. Did he honestly think it would be that easy? That she could just start her own agency? Yes she had experience but it was still a risky move.

But Tony refused to take no for an answer. Which was why he had spent a few days looking for a building in Manhattan that had an office for rent. And as luck would have it he found one. It wasn't as big as Wallace and McQuade but the office that was for rent did have its own charm. It had a great reception area. An office that would be perfect for her and a few other rooms in which she could hold meetings. So he had driven back home and told Mona about it. They in turn had convinced Angela to at least come and look at the place. And after looking around she had decided to give it a try. Yes it was risky and crazy but if Tony and her Mother believed in her then she needed to believe in herself. Lately though she hadn't been. Ever since she had been fired she had felt out of sorts like she was watching everything from the outside. The fact that she couldn't even make a decision about what color blue the pool should be scared her.

But now that she had made the decision to start her own agency she wasn't scared anymore. Well she was because she knew it would be a while until she got the agency up and running. But with Tony and Mona helping her and their faith in her she had no doubt that sooner or later The Bower Agency would be a big success. The only downside now was the pool. It pained her to admit it but for now the plans for the pool had to be scrapped. She just couldn't afford the upkeep. Sam and Jonathan had been disappointed of course but they said that they understood. And who knows maybe someday they could revisit the idea again.

So Tony had called the pool contractors to come back and fill the hole back up. They all stood around and watched for a while until Sam said that this was too depressing and went back inside. Jonathan followed after her muttering under his breath about slides and diving boards. Mona sighed and mentioned that she had been looking forward to going skinny dipping with her latest boyfriend causing Tony and Angela to look at her in shock and horror. Mona just shrugged and went up the stairs to her apartment. So now it was just the two of them. And while she knew it was the sensible thing to do she also was heartbroken. And not just because she loved swimming but because she hated seeing the disappointed looks on everyone's faces.

"You okay?" Tony asked.

She sighed. "Yes. No. I mean I know this is the right decision."

"It is Angela. What with you starting your own agency things are going to be hectic for a while."

"I know. It's just I feel like I have let you all down."

"AY OH! OH AY! Don't say that! You have never let any of us down and you never will."

Angela smiled. "Thank you but I just keep seeing the disappointed looks on Mother's, Sam's, and Jonathan's faces."

"And I understand that they're not happy about all this. But come on Angela this isn't the end of the world. They'll get over it and maybe someday we can revisit the pool idea again."

"We?" she gave him a soft smile.

"Well, no not we! I meant you" he stammered.

"No Tony you're right. We are a we." She realized what she said and blushed. "What I mean is that you and I aren't a we. But we are in some ways. Right?"

"Yeah. It was like I said we're a family and families stick together."

"So then maybe someday we can talk about having a pool again."

"Yeah, someday."
