Execution Cannon Ball Exam of Survival!
"Your promotion will be determined by which team will triumph, as well as by the rankings of the opponents you hit." Kalego explained and gesture to a box with red and yellow armbands.
"Here are the armbands for team A and B. Team A is yellow, and Team B is red. Once you put them on, split up." Kalego instructed and each student got their armband.
"It's finally time." Alice said to Iruma.
"I'm so nervous!" Iruma exclaimed, feeling his heart is beating like it's a panic.
"Fear not, friend. You trained like a real beast! Now let's show this class what you're made of!" Alice believed in full confidence that Iruma is gonna do great in this exam.
Iruma feels glad to have a friend like Alice by his side to cheer him up when things look to intense and he gets nervous, and this exam will definitely be a cakewalk with Alice in his team to help him get through this.
"Yeah." Iruma nodded and both boys put on their armband.
"Now, let us enter the court." Alice said, but both boys were going toward different sides confusing them.
However, a horrible realization soon crashes into their minds once they see they are both wearing different armbands with Iruma's armband being yellow and Alice is wearing the red one showing they are on different teams.
Team A is consisted of Sabro, Clara, Jazz, Agares, Elizabetta, and Iruma.
Team B is consisted of Gaap, Kerori, Shaxx, Kaumi, Soi, Allocer, and Alice.
This was something Alice did not like.
"Excuse me! Why are you dividing us this way? Placing my friend, Master Iruma and me on separate teams is simply ludicrous!" Alice complained to Kalego.
"You were split to even out the power balance. No objections, line up." Kalego ordered.
"Yay! I'm with Iruma-Kin!" Clara cheered, glad to be on the same team with Iruma-Kin and mentally promise not to hurt Azz-Azz too much.
"But… This is…" Alice groaned, feeling very upset about this while Iruma tries to calm him down.
"(This just means I'll have to help Master Iruma from the enemy camp.)" Alice thought believed that he could still help Iruma despite being on a different team.
"Fine, I'll handle it." Alice accepted the condition.
"What do you mean?" Iruma asked, hoping it's not something bad.
"Come on, hurry it up, Iruma-Kin!" Clara called out to him.
"I'm coming." Iruma responded before looking back at Alice. "Let's both do our best!"
"Indeed, you can count on it." Alice nodded.
"(But how can I help Master Iruma if I'm on this side?)" Alice thought asked himself as he makes his way to the other side and did some deep thinking.
"Now, commence Execution Cannon ball!" Kalego announced with a loud whistle sound.
"(It's finally time!)" Iruma thought excitedly though nervous at the same time.
Team B is having a private little talk with each other about what to do since they have the ball first.
"Just play it safe, everybody knows that. So, don't throw it at Iruma." Shaxx said as they understand and look at Alice who appears to be thinking about strategy right now.
"We've already seen he's skilled enough to defeat Amodeous, and he's also the archer hero's son along with master of evasion." Gaap pointed out the feats Iruma has been able to pull off.
"A wise man never corps danger." Allocer said.
"What's the matter? Hurry up and throw the ball." Sabro taunted the fools.
"Not a bad idea. How about right at him?" Shaxx glanced at Sabro.
"Remember, he let all of our traps hit him when he arrived at class that day." Shaxx recalled the first day in class, when Sabro caught all the traps with just his own body and pop them off with his muscles.
This is a great plan since Sabro said it himself that he would never dodge, which means he will be the first one to fall from this exam.
"Cease the day." Allocer nodded.
"So, who's gonna throw it?" Shaxx wondered, trying to see which of them can throw hard.
"I'd be delighted to." Kaumi volunteered to throw the ball.
"I'll be the one!" Gaap wanted to throw the ball himself.
But before they could make their decision, the ball suddenly vanished from Shaxx's hand and somehow ended up spinning on top of Jazz's finger.
"Too late, sorry." Jazz grinned, causing Team B to gasp.
"When did he…" Shaxx shocked, wondering how did Jazz even get the ball from this side when he's all the way on the other side.
"And pass." Jazz handed the ball to Sabro who gladly accepts it.
"Which one of you fools is ready to receive my ball?" Sabro asked with a grin that scares the other team.
Sabro look at Team B for a second. In that moment, Kerori quickly forms an ice barrier in front of her for protection just in time when Sabro threw the ball himself with a powerful throw that shattered the ice and the ball bounces on Kerori.
"Crocell, you're out." Kalego announced.
"This ball just hit a girl!" Kaumi screamed as he caught the ball.
"Yeah, but he caught it! So, she's safe!" Shaxx said, thrilled that the owl guy did that.
"And he could also average her too!" Gaap added.
"Here! I love to get to know you better!" Kaumi held the ball right to Elizabetta, on the other side.
"Forget it, he's out…" Shaxx deadpanned, losing all fate in that owl guy who just got himself out.
"You do realize you're giving the enemy the ball, right!" Gaap yelled. How could Kaumi do such a thing that would put their team at a disadvantage like that.
"Caime, you cross onto the enemy's side. You're out!" Kalego yelled.
"Time out for a bit." Shaxx called it as he and the others walk up to Kaumi.
Then they started stomping on Kaumi for pulling a stupid move on his part that he just cost himself and the team more reason that they'll lose, calling him an idiot pervert.
"I don't get it, why did he give you the ball?" Iruma asked Elizabetta.
"Oh, he's just being a pervert who tries to impress girls and fail miserably." Elizabetta explained.
"(I feel like I've seen this back in the human world, but I can't remember what it was.)" Iruma thought to himself.
"Resume the game at once or else you're disqualified!" Kalego warned if they don't hurry this up.
Team B stop beating up Kaumi and got back to their side, and then Kerori saw the ball rolling up to them since Kaumi dropped it during the rough treatment from his team.
"Oh hey, the ball is…" But Kerori took a closer look at the ball, or should she say lots of balls are rolling all over the field.
The cause of these balls rolling around is none other than Clara pulling out lots of different and random balls from her pockets.
"Oh wow, there's so many!" Iruma shocked.
"Goodness, there are balls everywhere." Elizabetta surprised.
"We have to find the one for the exam and quick before enemies does!" Iruma looked around trying to the ball.
"Crap, which one is the real one?" Jazz confused of this strange plan.
"This is another trail to become the Demon King!" Sabro proclaimed.
Everyone tries to find the ball through all of this mess of balls, but then Sabro spoke loudly.
"Found it! My eyes do not deceive me!" Sabro smirked holding up a ball, but not the right one because this ball has horns, red eyes, and a very sharp mouth.
"Sabro, no!" Iruma gasped.
"Yeah, that's definitely not the ball." Jazz tried to warn Sabro, but he did not listen.
And that's when Agares had enough with all this noise.
"…You guys are loud!" Agares yelled and used his Bloodline Ability: My Area to cause the ground to erupt and all the balls to be launch in the air.
"Hey! Where's the ball!" Iruma asked, hoping it hasn't gotten away too far.
"It's over there! Grab it!" Jazz spotted the ball.
Iruma quickly runs toward the ball while dodging the other ones, remembering the training and lessons about keeping his eyes open and watch the ball then grab the ball. Everyone was impressed with Iruma getting the ball.
"Very well done, my star-hearty rival." Sabro impressed, not bother by the monster ball trying to chew his head.
"You're out, Agares. You used your magic on something other than the ball." Kalego announced.
"Only because they're all so noisy." Agares complained lazily and yawned as he leaves the field.
Now that Iruma has the ball, Team B is starting to look scared as they scatter around while Alice is still deep in his thoughts about how to help Master Iruma.
"(Okay, time to see how my throwing is now.)" Iruma thought prepared himself, reeling his arms back.
Iruma looks at Team B and sees Alice all alone not even paying attention to the game which would be a good opportunity to hit him now but decided to save him for later.
"Here goes!" Iruma threw the ball with all his might toward the other side scaring the other team.
"Oh crap! Oh crap! Oh crap! Oh crap!" Shaxx panicked.
"Please! Have mercy!" Allocer begged while running around.
The ball landed on the ground then bounces all the way to the leg of Allocer much to his horror.
"Allocer! You're out!" Kalego announced.
"Alright! I actually got a hit!" Iruma cheered.
"Not bad, my rival." Sabro nodded.
"Hooray for Iruma-Kin!" Clara jumped around cheering for Iruma.
"Don't worry! I'll avenge you!" Shaxx quickly picked up the ball and threw it back at Iruma, only for Iruma to dodge it and Sabro caught it.
"Now it's my turn." Sabro smirked with his sight on Alice.
"(I don't like it. We're in a heat of battle and he's daydreaming.)" Sabro thought glared at Alice.
"(Since his becoming of my rival's underling, he's gone completely soft as a demon.)" Sabro thought hated a demon like Alice wasting away his demonic life like this.
"Then I shall whip you back into shape!" Sabro shouted as he threw the ball right at Alice.
"Look out!" Iruma called out, even though Alice is on the other team.
But surprisingly, Alice caught the ball with one hand that shocked both Iruma and Sarbo.
"How dare you… Interrupt my focus!" Alice angered and threw the ball that hit Sabro square on the chest.
"Get off the field, Sabnock. You're out." Kalego announced.
Sabro feels pain in his pride that he lost this early in the game and barely took anyone else out after that ice girl, but he didn't want to get in trouble with the teacher and left the field.
"Pass the ball to me outside!" Sabro called out to his team.
"Bye-bye! You did pretty well, gigantic one!" Clara bid farewell to Sabro while Iruma chuckles thinking he's gonna be upset about this for a while.
"Honestly." Alice said upset, not even realizing that the match has already started a while ago and took part in it as well.
"Oh wow, that Asmodeus sure is bad news." Jazz commented.
"Lesson learned: don't throw to that one." Elizabetta stated, fearing that he could take out the entire team all by myself if he wanted to.
However, one demon girl did not hear what Elizabetta just said.
"Okay Sabro, I will avenge you!" Clara threw the ball right at Alice, only her revenge plan to fail when she got hit by the ball instead.
"Valac… You twit." Kalego groaned.
"(Oh well, we just need to try getting them before us.)" Iruma thought determined.
Narrator: The match continues in the matter at a steady pace. One after another, the demons were quickly eliminated from the court.
The demon students of the Misfit class were getting off the field one by one.
Until finally.
The ball rolls up and bumps into Alice's shoes which got his attention.
"This is…" Alice realized the ball and saw that almost everybody is no longer on the field except for himself and Iruma.
"The only ones left are Asmodeus and Iruma!" Jazz shouted.
"(No! Master Iruma and I are the last ones standing!)" Alice thought gasped.
"(Oh boy, just me and him now.)" Iruma thought nervously.
"This should be good since Iruma is so hard to hit." Jazz commented.
"A job well done, my rival." Sabro amazed with Iruma being able to survive this long to the final two.
"Get him! Yay!" Elizabetta cheered for Iruma.
"Go, Iruma-Kin!" Clara cheered while Agares just sleeps.
"Come on, kick his butt!" Shaxx cheered for Alice.
"The victor goes to the true author of history." Allocer believed.
"Now, let us cheer together, what do you say?" Kaumi asked Kerori, but she completely ignored him while nervously watching the match. Soi is being quiet as always.
Kalego looks on at the two, being very close to each other since the start of the school year. This makes him a little curious to see how this will play out, even though he already has an idea on what Asmodeus is gonna try and do which could ruin Iruma's chance to be promoted.
"(Wh… When did this happen? I was so deep in thought; I haven't noticed at all! There's no way I can attack Master Iruma!)" Alice thought feared of hurting his mighty lord, but then gets an idea.
"(Wait, if we're the last two players remaining, the only possible thing to do is just to give him the ball and let him hit me!)" Alice thought believed that would be the best way to help Iruma.
"Iruma, si" But Alice stopped himself when he saw Iruma with such a strong, serious, and determined face, everything that Iruma had been working hard up to this point.
That gave Alice the big realization of a stupid mistake he was about to commit.
"(Shame on me… Have I bother to look at his face even once since this retched match started? "Let him hit me". "Lose deliberately". And have him gain a rank that way…? How foolish can I be?!)" Alice thought cursed himself for not seeing this more.
"(I've been by his side, watching how hard he worked. And yet, I thought only of myself.)" Alice thought started to remember all the training and hard work Iruma put himself through to get here.
"(I never considered what Master Iruma was thinking. Standing there all alone. It must be torture.)" Alice thought feared of how Iruma has been through in this match.
"(You have humiliated yourself, Asmodeus!)" Alice thought angered at himself.
Then came a sudden burst of flame and an intense heatwave coming from Alice as Iruma shield himself a little.
"Full strength deserves reception. I am a demon who values respect and etiquette." Alice threw his coat away while holding the ball tightly.
"I am Asmodeus Alice! And I will give this everything I have!" Alice declared.
Iruma can definitely tell that Alice is really going all-out in this match now after all this time of doing nothing, which means he's gonna really have to give this his all as he remembers what his mom told him about facing off against a greater force and knew what he has to do.
"(I'll catch it!)" Iruma thought determined.
(With Bachiko and Ameri)
"Surprised that you decided to come watch the first-year students' promotion exam. Thought you would be busy with paperwork." Bachiko said as she, Ameri, and her four members of the Student Council are walking down to the inner gym together.
"We thought of the same thing, it's pretty rare." Quichelight said.
"Oh, you must be interested in the top student, Asmodeus! Or maybe the honor student who is also Bachiko's son, Iruma!" Quichelight guessed the president's attention.
"Both of them would be quite the candidates to welcome into the student council, don't you agree?" Zagan asked.
"You can forget about asking Iruma to join. He's never been big on the polite stuff, nor does he pay any minds to it." Bachiko informed, shocking the Student Council members.
"To be honest, it might be possible we could see something interesting." Ameri believed, hoping to see how Iruma is fairing in the exam.
