Rhaenys was walking around the Twins, with little else to do. Catelyn had reluctantly left her and a few Northmen with the Freys. This was despite how dangerous she knew he was. Rhaenys was terrified, despite Catelyn's reassurances that he was safe. That was all she needed to know that Cat did not believe her or her brother's visions, not truly. Even so, Rhaenys could hardly blame her for leaving her, no matter how much she frustrated her. Walder demanded her to stay as… encouragement for Cat and Robb to follow through on their arrangement. There was nothing anyone could do. She was nothing more than a glorified hostage, a bird in a cage. A dragon in a cage, slowly wasting away. Just as she thought this, Nightshade wandered into the room. She watched as the dragonling scanned the room. Suddenly she launched herself under Rhaenys bed. There was a bang, a terrified screech, then Nightshade slinked out, with a rat in her mouth.

"Beautiful creature, isn't it?" a strange voice started from behind her. She turned around and saw Walder Frey, in the flesh.

"Or in the bone." she thought.

"Yes she is."

"I never thought I'd ever see one. They went extinct a generation or two before I was born." He stated.

Nightshade looked at Walder, grabbed her food, then scampered behind Rhaenys. Walder looked as if he took that as a personal insult. Knowing Nightshade, it probably was, at least partially, but Walder did not need to know that.

"Skittish little bugger, isn't it?"

"Yes my lord. She's wary of strangers."

"You've been at my castle for many fortnights, I hope I'm not a stranger to you. Or your dragon."

Walder eyed where the dragon scuttled off to, then moved closer to Rhaenys and put his hand on her shoulder. He smelled of perfume but it barely covered up the smell of sweat and other odors she decided against identifying for her own sanity. She didn't like the look in his eyes. He looked at her as if he was picking out a desirable piece of meat at the market. Rhaenys then remembered the girl he was betrothed to, Joyeuse Erenford, was a few years younger than she was. She pushed the thought out of her mind. As disgusting of a man he was, he wasn't stupid enough to try anything inappropriate, no matter how much he wanted to. She was too important to be defiled, at least she hoped she was. He also was betrothed, and that would go down poorly with the Erenford family. She smiled uneasily at him, as it was all she could think to do at the moment.

"No, Lord Frey. You've been more than hospitable to both me and the Starks. We owe you much."

"Yes you do." Walder said locking eyes with her. His gaze was near unreadable, but the impatience in his tone gave away his motive. Rhaenys guessed what he was going to ask before the words left his mouth, but she hoped desperately he wasn't idiotic to ask for.

"I know you are betrothed to Aegon, but in times of great distress, it is not uncommon for Targareyons to branch out. I want to offer, in person, one of my sons in marriage, in return for my hospitality, 10,000 men, and continued use of the Twins bridge."
