Kakashi watched the gentle rise and fall of Sakura's chest.

The worry, fear, and rage that he felt when Sakura was taken is long gone. He was just glad that Sakura is safe and back in his arms. He gently brushed a strand of pink hair away from her face, his visible eye soft and affectionate as he looked at his sleeping wife. He couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude that she was with him, safe and unharmed.

As Kakashi continued to watch over her, his thoughts turned to the future and the challenges they would face. The Daimyo's demands and threats had not been resolved, and Kakashi knew that they would need to find a way to protect their marriage and their love from outside pressures.

But in that quiet moment, with Sakura in his arms, Kakashi felt an overwhelming sense of love and commitment. He knew that they would face whatever challenges came their way together, and he was willing to do whatever it took to ensure their happiness and safety.

Kakashi pressed a soft kiss to Sakura's forehead, his heart full of love and determination. He whispered to her sleeping form, "I love you, Sakura. No matter what challenges come our way, we'll face them together. You and me, always."

"Kakashi?" Sakura's sleepy voice murmured to him. Her green eyes is searching his face. When she finally recognized him, he saw how tears started to form in her eyes. "Kakashi."

"Don't cry, Sakura. Please." Kakashi whispered to her as her tears started to fall from her eyes. "I'm here. You're safe. You're with me."

"I... I thought I'm never going to see you again." Sakura cried. "He said... they... they are going to kill you."

Kakashi opened his arms and she scooted over to him. He felt her pressed her face to his chest, her tears wetting his skin.

"Sakura," he softly whispered to her. "they will never be able to kill me. But if they did, I'll make sure you're safe first."

"Kakashi!" her voice an octave higher, fear is evident. Just thinking about it scares her. "Don't you dare. Don't you dare die!"

Kakashi held her tighter against his chest. Sakura's word struck a chord inside him. For the first time since his sensei died, no one cared about him. Until Sakura.

"Don't you dare, Kakashi." Sakura's eyes started to water. "Don't leave me." Her tears started to spill over the lid. "It's hard enough that I have to think of his threats. I don't want to lose you, Kakashi. I need you here."

Kakashi continued to hold Sakura close, his embrace filled with love and reassurance. He gently wiped away her tears with his thumb, his voice soothing and tender as he spoke to her.

"Sakura, I promise, I'll do everything in my power to always come back to you. But I can't promise that if you're the one in danger." Kakashi said, looking into her teary eyes. "I'll do everything just to make sure you're safe, even if it means my death."

Sakura's tears continued to flow; she shook her head to deny Kakashi's words. She just got him back, she doesn't want or need to hear such words.

"No, Kakashi. You will not die because of me." Sakura's green eyes flashed in determination.

Kakashi's eyes softened at her words. He tucked her stray hair behind her ear. He kissed her forehead. "Don't worry now, Sakura. I'm here, you're home."

He felt her fingers clutch his shirt. As if wanting to never let go, he let her. He lost her a few hours ago, if not for his recklessness, the Daimyo will never had the chance. Its his way of asking forgiveness.
