It's a typical day for Jamie and her guardians. The problem is the typical day is full of concerns for the two mechs. Starting with watching Jamie not want to eat. The Autobots and soldiers who know about her mental struggle worry about her, but only the medics know Jamie has already dealt with the consequences of not eating all day before.
"You sure she'll be ok?" Crosshairs whispers.
"I don't know, but she's doing ok mentally that she won't like that we're not working, you know?"
"I do, which is hard to think this is good when she's not eating much. That's not good, but there's not much we can do."

After they eat, the two mechs take Jamie back to the three's room and go to where they work in the base.

"Hey," the two hear a soldier gets their attention, "why are you two assigned to be that kid's guardians?"
"First of all, she's not a kid," Drift argues, "second, I'm honor-bound. I was assigned to protect her, so I will!"
Crosshairs nods in agreement, and the two walk away.

"You know I left things out to avoid further altercations?" Drift asks.
"I know you love Jamie. We know few understand her mental struggle."
"It's getting worse, and I hate not knowing what to —."
Drift sees Jamie walking down the hall, not looking great.

Jamie feels herself swooning, but she worries about what'll happen if she sits on the floor.
Drift hates the way Jamie looks as he approaches her.
"I've got you," he assures her as he picks her up.
"We need to take her to the medbay," Crosshairs urges.

Both mechs worry about the condition Jamie is in. Ratchet lets them in the exam room with him.
"Third time this has happened," he sighs, "I don't know what else to do other than you know. Get her juice and take her back upstairs. I don't think she'll be up to eating for a while. Same as last time."
The two take Jamie upstairs.

Jamie is uncomfortable sitting up for pain pills and drinking juice, but lying down isn't much better with how bad the headache is.
"This isn't the worst she's done, but still scary," Drift worries.
"Even if she'll be feeling better tomorrow, she's not going to be doing better," Crosshairs sighs.
"I'm about ready to let her have McDonald's every night. Can't be bad when she's not eating all day."
"Really? I didn't expect you to not realize that she wouldn't be getting any fruits or vegetables. We'll figure something out."
"I hope so."
Crosshairs hugs his worried friend and tells him he'll get their punches. Drift lies on the bed with Jamie, hating how much she struggles, and everyone feels they can't help her. How this is roughly how every day goes. The only good is that Jamie doesn't end up this is sick daily, but it's becoming more frequent.
