Drift has had the same nightmare since Jamie hurt herself. Terrified, Jamie will try again. Every night, it gets more terrifying. While the Autobots can avoid sleep for a week, he knows it will be a problem. Drift doesn't believe the nightmare will stop after a couple of days of not sleeping, nor will talking to anyone — Autobot or human.

Drift stares at Jamie and the serious injury she gave herself. He sits on his knees by her. He knows his first aid kit won't be enough to help save Jamie, but he can try to do enough until the medics get to them. Drift does his best to make a bandage, hating how quickly the bleeding goes through the many layers of gauze pads.
"Just hold on."
Drift feels Jamie's pulse weakening. He knows the medics won't get to them. Time felt like it sped up as Drift watches Jamie die.

Drift wakes up terrified. Hating the nightmare has changed to watching Jamie die. He gets out of bed, trying to be quiet. This is one of those nights Drift hates Jamie is sleeping beside him — even though it's easier to see she's ok — and the two share the room with Crosshairs. He goes out to the balcony as quietly as possible. As Always, Drift fails to be quiet. Crosshairs has become a light sleeper. In a way, he's happy to be woken up just to realize Drift went to the bathroom, but he hates the nights he's right about Drift waking up for other reasons as he sees Drift standing on the balcony.

Crosshairs didn't think he'd see Drift terrified.
Ah, frag, this isn't good. Crosshairs worries.
Even while seeing Drift terrified, Crosshairs didn't think Drift would be startled by his touch.
"It's just me," Crosshairs assures him, "you ok."
"I'm fine."
Drift would never lie. He hates it when I act fine. Crosshairs thinks. This isn't good.
Crosshairs gets further evidence Drift isn't ok as he hugs Drift. Relieved, the door is closed as Drift cries. Which does make it easy to figure out what has Drift upset enough to cry. Crosshairs worries this isn't the first night Drift has had a nightmare this week.

It's a long hour before Crosshairs gets Drift back in bed, hoping the nightmare Drift had doesn't return tonight. Hating for good isn't likely for now.

With Crosshairs downstairs, Drift and Jamie get dressed. Jamie is in the mood for a little silliness.
Drift turns around to see Jamie and starts laughing. With Jamie's short 4' 7" size and being sixteen inches shorter than Drift, his shirt is like a dress.
"Fine, then I'm wearing this," Drift comments and puts on Jamie's sweatshirt that fits Drift without an issue but is a little big on Jamie.
"What did I walk into?" The two hear Crosshairs ask.
Oh gosh, good thing my shirt is like a dress on her. Drift thinks.
"I'm going to ignore the fact she's not wearing pants," Crosshairs comments. Drift and Jamie laugh.
"Fine, get out so I can get dressed," Jamie comments.
Drift didn't think he'd be shooed out of the room.

The two mechs don't have to wait long before Jamie opens the door. The femme did get dressed but with a little extra.
"Hey, that's way too big on you," Crosshairs comments while Drift laughs.
Crosshairs' trench coat is like a blanket on Jamie. Crosshairs is happy to see Jamie smiling and Drift laughing, but in the back of his mind, he knows this will only last minutes, and he hates it.
