Lloyd laid on his stomach on his bed, his arms crossed in front of him. Chantal sat on his bare back as she massaged his back.

"I can't believe Raya just lefts like that." He complained.

"I'm not surprised at all."

"What?" He turns to look over his shoulder at his wife. "How can you say that?"

Chantal stopped what she was doing. "Honey, we're talking about Kai's daughter. Raya does things her own way."

"Raya isn't scared of anything." Lloyd added with a smile. "She knew she could get away with things cause the fire Ninja has her back."

Chantal smiled softly. "Remember when she tried to wear a halter top?"

Lloyd snorted and laughed loudly. "Kai literally set the roof on fire with his anger. Thankfully Zane was able to put out the fire before it got worse. I still don't know who was more in trouble. Kai or Raya."

"I honestly thought your uncle was gonna have a breakdown."

Lloyd's smile faded. "He was so anger that he couldn't talk. I miss him. I miss all of them."

Chantal laid down, her left arm sliding around his waist. "I do too." She kissed his cheek. "In the morning. You worry about the newbies, and Wu and I will go find Raya. I think I know where she's hiding."

"Sounds good." Lloyd turns and kisses her gently.

The following morning. A gong is heard rapidly, Lloyd walks into a room holding a gong as he hits it rapidly. Waking Riyu, Arin and Sora. "Rise and Shine!" Lloyd calls, still banging the gong. "Time to train!"

Arin bolted up, wide awake and alert. "What?" He shook his head and looked around. "It really is my first day of ninja training!" He beamed, as Riyu yawned and stretched before hurrying up to Arin. "Yes! Awesome!" He pounces out of the hammock and double hits the air with extreme excitement. "Maximum awesome!"

Sora groaned, moving to sit up and turned to Lloyd. "It's the crack of dawn."

"I know." Lloyd said as Arin raced out of the room with Riyu. "I thought I'd let you sleep in for your first week." He smiled. "Meet me in the courtyard in ten minutes." He turns to leave.

"'Sleep in?'" The pink haired teen repeated.

In the kitchen, Wu enjoyed his breakfast while he sat at the table.

"Lloyd, don't burn the tea." Chantal said, moving from the table to set the empty plates in the sink.

"Babe, I know tea." Lloyd said. "Uncle Wu was obsessed with it, I grew up around tea. He smiled. "Remember?"

"Sure."

"I'm not going to burn the tea." Lloyd added, he walked up behind her and grabbed her around waist, and kissed her cheek. "Be safe."

"Once dishes are done, we'll set out."

"Done!" Wu announces, coming up to his parents and sliding the plate into the sink.

The tea pot started to whistle. "There's my tea." Lloyd moves to the stove.

"Wu, go brush your teeth. Then we'll be on our way." Chantal told him.

"Right mom!"

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

"Let's ask Lloyd if we can go." Sora was saying as Lloyd opens the front door and walks out, holding a teacup.

"Go where?" He asks, walking up to a coffee table and sat down.

"The Crossroads Carnival." Sora answered as she, Arin walked over, with Riyu bounding around them. "Where everyone from the combined lands celebrates their traditions. There's a ton of food and games and a huge fireworks show by this fireworks genius named Dorama."

"Plus, a pie baking competition!" Arin added. "It's super fun!"

"It does sound fun. But it also sounds like a distraction from something even more fun. Training!" Lloyd smiled.

The two teens slumped their shoulders.

"What are we suppose to train on?" Sora asked, as Chantal and Wu walked out of the building. "There's nothing here!"

"Oh, my dear. You're in the Garmadon territory now." Chantal told her with a smile. "The only ones who know about the nooks and cranny of the Monastery are Master Wu and Lloyd."

Lloyd pulled out his uncle's staff, and twirled in the air above him. "Ah, to become a Ninja, you must see potential where others do not." He sets the staff on the ground. The ground shook as it started to open up as Sora and Arin turned around to watch … only for the mechanisms to get stuck half way. "What?! This always worked when Master Wu did it! Oh, it's a whole big impressive reveal!"

"Sounds like your mechanisms haven't been maintained." Sora replied as Lloyd walked up to the middle of the courtyard. "When junk gets into gears, it can ruin everything. When did you last clean em?"

"Too busy with saving the world." Lloyd answered. He jumped onto the middle part and looked around. "Uh, maybe if I." He stomps on the machine, the machine instantly falls, taking Lloyd with. Scaring Arin and Sora.

Suddenly the machine springs up, with Lloyd standing perfectly balanced on a large hoop. "The training course!" He announces, spreading his arms wide.

"So cool!" Arin beams.

"One more thing." Lloyd said, before leaping down to stand at the table again. "You must complete the course before I finish my tea." He holds up the cup and takes a sip, seconds later he spits it out. "Oh, I burnt the tea. I didn't even know that was possible! I can't drink this. How do I time your performance now?"

"Why were you gonna time us with a hot beverage anyway?" Sora asks, hands on hips.

Lloyd smiles. "I had the best teacher. My uncle. Master Wu. That's how he did it." He moves to a shrine where a large picture of Master Wu is at. "As your teacher, I wanna do everything like he did. That's why I come here and kneel on his favorite old meditation carpet, and ponder how to be just like him. It's also why I grew this beard!"

In the Crossroads.

"Excuse me, but have you seen this woman?" Raya asks, holding up a picture of Skylor to show a Serpentine.

"Nope." The snake shook his head. "Ssssorry kid."

Raya lowered her arm down. "Thanks anyway." She turns to walk away.

XxXxXxXxXxXxX

On the otherside, Chantal walked through the crowd with Wu holding her hand. "Mama, do you really think Raya will be here?" He asks, looking around at the crowd.

"Well." Chantal started with a sigh. "No." She admits. "But it's a big crowd, and when she was younger, Raya loved to get lost in crowds." She tightens her hold on Wu's hand. "Come on." She walks further into the crowd.

After awhile of walking. The mother and sun come up to a big tent, gaining Wu's attention.

"Mom!" He beams. "Can we go in there!?" He asks, using his free hand to point at the large tent. "Please mama, please, please?" He begs as there's fireworks.

"Not right now Wu." Chantal pulls him away from the tent. "We have to find Raya."

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

An hour later. Raya had walked around a corner and stopped at an abandoned building. The door is boarded up as is the windows.

"Hey." She studied the building. "It's Dareth's dojo!" She ran up to the door and tried to pry open the door, she yelped when the board gave way and she fell backwards onto her back. Quickly getting up, Raya ran into the building.

"Dareth!" She calls, racing in. "Dareth! It's me, Raya. Kai's daughter!" She ran from room to room. "Dareth?" She comes back into the main room feeling dejected.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

That night. Lloyd searched the Monastery. Knocking on Arin and Sora's door before opening the door. "Arin?" He walked into the room. "Sora?" Seeing a poster on Sora's bedside, Lloyd walked up to it and grabbed it, the poster's an ad for the carnival. "They snuck out!? Oh, you've got to be kidding me! We never would have done this to Master Wu!" He pauses. "That's a lie. We totally would have." He turned and ran out.

XxXxXxXxXxXxX

Much later, Chantal pulls Wu by the hand as they enter a tent. "Raya!" She breathed with a smile at seeing the red head standing in front of something. "Raya?" She walked over to her.

Raya turns to her with tears.

"What's wrong Raya?" Wu asks.

"I found what happened to the Ninja." Raya answered, voice thick with tears.

"What?" Chantal frowns, she looks around and gasps.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Later, Lloyd walks through the crowd.

"Excuse me. Have you seen two — wait! I'm looking for — Hold on! I haven't been around this many people in a while ... whoa!" He's suddenly knocked backwards into a tent and lands on his back. "Were people always that pushy?" He grumped as he sat up then stands up. He turns around and his eyes grow at seeing eight pictures of each of the Ninja, they each have their own shrine. "Photo's of us?" He turns to see two kids, placing flowers on Cole's shrine and Eleanor's shrine. "Excuse me." He walks up to them, they turn to him. "What is all this?"

"It's our neighborhood's way of remembering our great heroes, the Ninja" The boy answered. "They put this tent up every year."

"Once upon a time, the ninja protected the whole city!" The girl added. "And they had fun while doing it! Then they risked their lives to save people during the Merge. Now no one knows where they are. Some people think they're gone forever."

"Nah, I think they'll be back someday." The boy replied as Lloyd walked over to the photo of Master Wu, he reached out and very gently ran a hand down the picture frame. "Ninja never quit, right?"

"The world has changed so much." Lloyd smiled softly, still staring at his uncle's picture. "It's amazing that the Ninja are still remembered to this day."

"Of course they are!" The boy smiles. "The Ninja stand for hope. Who doesn't need hope?"

"You know, you look like the Green Ninja." The girl added.

"No. He looks more like their Sensei." The boy replied. "Master Wu! It's the beard."

Suddenly, Wu came running in. "Dad!" He cried, stumbling in. "You gotta come now!" He insists, running over and grabbing Lloyd's hand and pulling him. "Quick, quick!"

"Uh." Lloyd turns back around to the two kids. "Thank you!" He thanks as his son yanks him out.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Raya sat in an ally, tears rolling down cheeks.

"Raya, honey. Please don't cry." Chantal said as gently, knelt down next to her, her arm around the teen. "Raya, your dad is ok. He is alive! Lloyd said so! That means the others are also alive too."

"I thought I could find dad and Aunty Nya on my own." The teen cried. "I thought that if I could find them on my own, they'd be proud of me. I was such a brat, defying orders from dad and Master Wu."

"You were being kid." Lloyd's voice made both jump and turn to see Lloyd and Young Wu walking up to them.

"Lloyd, I'm so sorry for what I said to you." Raya apologized, standing up and facing him. "You're doing a great job! Dad always said you were a little Mini Master Wu."

Lloyd smiled, he pulled her into his arms. "It's ok."

"I wanna come home, if that's ok."

"Of course it's ok!" Lloyd smiled, holding her close. "Come on. Arin and Sora disappeared on me earlier." He added, pulling away.

"Disappeared on you?" Chantal asked confused.

"If must've happened during their break. I went to find them and found a poster for this carnival. I've been searching for them ever since."

"But this carnival is so big!" Chantal said with a frown. "Where do we even start to look?"

Wu turns to her. "I think I now."

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Lloyd walks up to the biggest tent.

"I hear a battle king on." Raya said, she moved. "Let's kick some butt!" She starts to move.

"Whoa there, fire!" Lloyd grabs her, and pulls her back. "Don't you remember that a good Ninja waits until it's the right time to reveal yourself?"

Raya stared at him. "I don't remember Master Wu saying that."

"He never said it." Lloyd smiled. "I did!"

"Lloyd, are you going to go in there and save your students, or are you gonna gloat all night?" Chantal asked, her arms folded.

"And we need a plan!" Raya added, Lloyd looked at her. "What?"

"Kai loves to go head first into battle, while Nya comes up with the plans." The blonde told her.

"Can we talk about my family drama later?" Raya huffed, dejected. "It's saving butt time!"

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

From outside the big tent Chantal and Wu watch as Lloyd and the teens battle and defeat Dorama.

"Oh! Mom, scary guy is trying to make a break for it!" Wu exclaimed, right before Riyu tackles Dorama.

"Stop! This can't be the final act for the Crossroads' greatest showman!"

"No. It's definitely closing night." Lloyd said as he and the teen walk up to him. "Once we call the authorities and let them figure out what to do with you. And it'll stick too, cause my wife is a lawyer."

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

After awhile, the group walk to Kreel's lair. "Kreel, someone wants to see you!" Arin announces.

The Whack Rat they saved moves around them.

"Targy! You're safe! Oh!" The girl hugs him, then turns to the one eyed machine. "Lobbo, you're free to go."

"Lobbo was always free. Up here." The machine points to his head. "Lobbo Lobbo."

"I still can't believe we helped a Whack Rat." Lloyd said, his left arm around Chantal as he held her close.

"After what they did while inside Prime Empire." Raya huffed. "Yeah, neither can I."

"Master." Arin started, turning to him and Lloyd turns to the teen. "Uh, Lloyd. We're sorry for sneaking away without permission."

"And for taking your carpet." Sora added, turning to look at Riyu who was dressed as a dog.

"Well, I'm sorry too. For pushing you so much today. I was so serious about my teaching, I forgot this can also be fun." Lloyd told them.

"We're all new at this. We get it. No problem." Sora states.

Arin suddenly smiles. "Hey, if we hurry, we can still make it to the pie contest."

"Contest?" Raya repeated. "What contest?"

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

The group heads over to Mr. Frohicky's stall where a baking contest is being held.

"In first place is … Chef Grab-Barg!" The frog holds out a trophy to a snail. "Congratulations!"

Arin's shoulders slump as he looks down.

The creature laughs as the crowd cheers.

"And in second place!" The frog announces. "Arin." He walks up to the dejected teen, giving him a second place ribbon. "Uh, sorry, kiddo. But it's still a great pie."

Arin sighed, still dejected.

"Don't worry." Lloyd said walking up to him. "You'll win next year."

The teen blinked, and looked at him in surprise. "Next year?"

"Of course!" Lloyd smiles, he wrapped his arm around his son. "We can't miss the next Crossroads Carnival."

"Yes!" Wu and Raya cheer and high five each other.

"And this year's carnival isn't over!" Sora added with a smile. "There's still lots of food to try. I had my eye on some candy mushrooms from the Realm Of Lee."

"A snack tour is exactly what we need before training starts again tomorrow. At the crack of dawn."

Arin whooped, while Sora sighed.
