It was dark still when I came to, something felt…off. I remember getting splatted by a giant green shamrock, so where the hell was I now? And why do I feel so tiny and feeble.

I was bundled in the arms of some absolute monster of a man, obviously not being used to this I wiggled for all I was worth in an attempt to be put down.

"Ah lil' 'Arry, no need to struggle." The mountain spoke.

"Jus' waiting' on a message from the headmaster and we'll be-". A stifled sob came off to the side, it was now I realised that the giant…wait…half-giant… Hagrid. That's Hagrid.

Rubeus Hagrid.

WAIT…..he called me Harry. Fuck. October 31st 1981.

The night Harry Potter became the boy who lived.

Finally looking at my surroundings I focused to the side of Hagrid, looking to the source of the sob from earlier.

There was a man with shaggy black hair, red in face from crying by the looks of it.

If I'm Harry then…. This is Sirius Black.

Sirius ended up in Azkaban.

I can't let that play out.

But I'm now Harry bloody Potter and only what, a year and three months?

Stuff it, I'll do all I can

"Padfoo'" I try to say.

This makes his head snap up to me.

"Padfoo, hug" the shadow of a smile passes over his features, but he manages to scoop me up.

"Hey pup, sorry if I woke you." He staggers through that sentence, the loss from James and Lily Potter must be destroying him inside if anything I remember from the canon and fanon is right.

I need him to focus on looking after me not revenge on the rat pettigrew.

Heh, I've been isekai'd into, and have literally become Harry Potter and am already trying to deviate from the books.

God I hope this world is based of the books and not the movies.

"Padfoo' sad?" Communication is going to suck for a few years I think.

"Yes Padfoot sad, your mama, dada…are gone." This almost causes him to have a full meltdown, he definitely is still wallowing in the loss, as long as it doesn't shift to anger.

"I stay wif Padfoo'?" I ask trying to keep his attention on me.

Sirius looks confused at this, and I realise it may be too big a thought from a one year old, he opens his mouth to speak but the power of plot intervenes.

A silver phoenix bursts out of the darkness and streaks to the street in front of the three of us, a voice speaks out,

"Hagrid, speak to no one, bring Harry to me and Professor McGonagall at little whinging in Surrey to the street with the street lights put out."

The phoenix then faded away.

Hagrid moved to get up and gestured for Surius

"Welp 'en, you heard the Headmaster, best be going and anyways it ain't safe to stay here any longer, Sirius, you should come with us, though not sure how best to get there, Flitwick set a hasty port key up for me to get here."

"Motorbike." Sirius mumbled.

"You should take my motorbike. It flies. Be there in no time. I won't come with you, need to go do something first, speak to an old friend." He say that last bit with this hateful glint in his eyes.

I realise he already plans to go on the rat hunt, I need to act fast so when Sirius stands to pass me to Hagrid I do the only thing that a toddler can, I scream for all that I'm worth.

"NO I WANT SIRI PA'FOO!"

"Sorry kiddo, I'll see you later."

I screamed and screamed and screamed, lights in a house down the road where coming on.

"Hey Sirius, maybe ye' should come with us, help me keep home calm on the way?"

"No Hagrid I have to go, o have something that needs to be fixed."

I screamed again, followed by,

"PAAAAFOOOO…"

"Okay pup, okay, if it keeps you calm." Sirius relented.

Success.

We flew via motorbike with Hagrid as pilot and me and Sirius in the sidecar, soon as we approached the outskirts of Surrey, the streets began to dispense into cookie cutter houses I realised that the next few minutes would decide my fate. Whether I was going to be left with the Dursley's or not.

Privet Drive Little Whinging was the only street close to pitch black, where one porch light persisted, the rest of the street only illuminated by moonlight.

Two figures stood waiting opposite four Privet Drive.

The motorbike landed with a rough thud.

"Sorry, didn't mean for the bumpy landing'." Said Hagrid.

Hagrid had just dismounted from the bike and as Sirius started to do the same there was a soft whipping sound and suddenly Dumbledore was stood with his wand, the Elder Wand, pressed into Sirius' neck.

Dumbledore was tall and thin, white hair and beard cascading out from his head and chin, half moon spectacles covering piercing blue eyes that at this moment radiated anger, anger directed at Sirius.

"How did Voldemort find them? You were the Secret keeper. Are you a traitor?" He spoke quietly but the words eked with actions promised.

The night grew colder in the silence.

Sirius' anger rose to the surface.

"How dare you, headmaster." He spat out with venom.

"James is my brother, or as good as. We changed the secret keeper at the last minute."

"Then wh-?"

"Pettigrew. That rat is a death eater, I just can't believe it, he was the one to throw suspicion onto Remus, bet he did the same to me with Moony."

"Would you say the same under veritserum?"

"Of course!" Sirius exclaimed, desperation barely covered by his anger.

"I'll give you the memory if I have to."

"There is only one way to be sure….legilimens."

"Albus!" A shocked Professor McGonagall finally spoke.

A few tense moments later Sirius and Dumbledore relaxed. Dumbledore looked over us and his eyes softened as the mask of friendly grandfatherly figure took place, a warm smile and famous twinkling of the eyes accompanying it.

"He speaks the truth, Minerva. We have been truly betrayed. Summon the order, he must be found."

"Then what of the boy, what of Harry?" Queried McGonagall.

"The plan remains unchanged."

"What plan, I'm his Godfather, Lily and James wanted him to come to me if…if…if anything happened." Said Sirius

"It even said so in their wills!"

"Where are we anyway?" Confusion across Sirus' face.

"Little Whinging, Surrey, outside the home of one Vernon Dursley, Dudley Dursley and Petunia Dursley." Replied Dumbledore.

"WHAT! Lily's sister? They explicitly said not to send him here if anything happened to them. They hate magic and all to do with it!" Sirius struggling to control his anger again.

"Look headmaster, let me help hunt down the rat, I'm you're best chance of finding him. After that let me look after Harry, with some help, I admit I'll probably need it."

"Sirius, there are other things at play here."

While Dumbledore explained the blood wards to Sirius I looked at the three of them properly, I could see that they looked like an odd mix of what was described in the books and the actors that portrayed them.

Sirius was definitely the 20/21 year old he should've been at the very least.

Realising that Dumbledore was still of the kind to leave me at the Dursley's I needed to act.

"NOOO I WANT PADFOO', UNC SIRI!" I really hated this baby talk, but I don't think I can talk in full sentences yet. Might be a bit of a shock for the adults if I actually could.

I had clearly interrupted the conversation as now all adults looked at me.

"As I was saying to Albus when you arrived, I've watched these muggles and they are far from respectable as a person can be, I strongly disagree with leaving him here."

"Minerva, the wards will protect Harry better than any wizarding home or manor. They'll protect him til he turns 17. That and he needs to grow up away from the fame, they are already calling the boy who lived, this is the only way he can have any kind of normal childhood."

"No, I told you I will take him, as named guardian I should be able to raise the wards at Potter manor, well what's left of it."

Dumbledore looked at the two adults and spoke out, "And what are your thoughts Hagrid?"

"Sir, whatever's best for little 'Arry really."

"I concur." And before anyone could react he flicked his wand and all three crumpled on the ground, casting another spell he ran his wand over them each in turn, then a third spell this time he uttered barely a whisper.

"Obliviate."

Immediately he followed this by levitating them to their feet and renervate them.

"So, I'm glad that we agree, Harry will stay here with the Dursley's until he is of age and able to take his role of Lord Potter." Dumbledore didn't give a second to let them think about otherwise, his spiel continued.

"Sirius, go to Peters home and his family's home to see if you can locate him, then meet us at headquarters, Hagrid please go with him; Minerva, I need this hand delivered to Gringotts." He said while handing her a thick letter.

"As for myself, I want to investigate at Godric's Hollow, but first let us deliver Harry to his Aunt's home."

Shit shit shitty shit shit. Power of plot wins round one. I'm staying with the Dursley's.

Hagrid gave me a quick cuddle then handed me to Sirius, looking down on me he gave his first proper smile.

"I'll see you again prongslet, be safe and always solemnly swear to be up to no good." He kissed my forehead and passed me over to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore blue eyes sparkled down at me and I stare into his, he may have his machinations, but I plan to wrap up this story by end of fourth year, at least I've saved Sirius from Azkaban. It's a start.

"Focillo Vestis Maxima." I felt a warmth around me as he chanted. I guess this is it. The beginning of my life as Harry Potter.

He laid me down all bundled up on the stoop in front of four Privet Drive and I felt an envelope being placed on my chest.

I could just make out a motorbike as it flew off into the distance, I saw McGonagall reach the end of the street and twist and vanish with a low pop, and Dumbledore above me clicking a device in his hand, the lights in the street suddenly relit.

"Somnus Oriens." Was the last thing I heard as I drifted off to a peaceful, warm sleep.

The next thing I heard was a women's shriek and the smash of a glass milk bottle being dropped suddenly.

Before I could control myself, baby body instincts took over and I started involuntarily screaming and crying.

Part of it may have been because I knew the next ten years were sure to suck. Well maybe I could find a way to have a little fun, wouldn't want to disappoint Sirius now would I?
