So this didn't take as long, but it was still longer than I'd have liked. But, updates may be a little longer in the coming weeks because I'll be getting a job again soon, and I'll be going back to school. So, I'm trying to get updates in ASAP.
Olivia lay on the exam table, holding hands with Charles as the doctor completed the pelvic exam. Once she was done she stood up and covered Olivia up with the paper. Olivia sat up and looked at her. "What's next?"
The doctor smiled. "I'll let you get dressed, and then we'll take some blood and do an ultrasound, and we'll see baby."
Olivia let out a breath. "If there is a baby," she murmured.
Charles kissed her head. "There will be," he whispered.
The doctor rested her hand on Olivia's shoulder. "We'll get through whatever we find together."
Olivia nodded and watched the doctor walk out. Olivia put back on her undergarments, yoga pants, and slouchy t-shirt and sat back on the exam table. She looked at Charles and smiled softly, giving him a tender, loving, peck on the lips. "I love you. No matter what this ultrasound shows, we'll get through it together."
Charles kissed her temple. "Whatever life throws at us we'll get through it together." He held her tightly. "I love you, baby."
Olivia took a deep breath and calmed her nerves. She heard the doctor knock and then come back in. "You want blood first or ultrasound first?"
The doctor looked at her. "How about we do the ultrasound first, put your mind at ease, then we'll do the blood test to see how far along you are."
Olivia nodded and lay back, taking Charles's hand and holding it tight as the doctor put the cold jelly on her stomach and take the ultrasound wand and rubbed it over her stomach looking at the screen. Olivia looked too, and when the doctor pointed out the black oval and the little white circle inside it. "Is that?"
The doctor smiled and nodded. "That's the amniotic sac and the yolk sac. And right here—" she said pointing out something else on the ultrasound. "Is the embryo. No heartbeat yet, it's still a touch too early. My guess is you're about 6 weeks."
Olivia felt tears spring to her eyes as soon as she heard the word embryo. "I'm pregnant," she whispered and looked at Charles. "We're pregnant," she giggled and kissed him passionately.
Charles smiled and softly broke the kiss. "Told you there'd be a baby in there." He whispered and kissed behind her ear.
The doctor smiled and printed out pictures of the ultrasound. "A phlebotomist will be in, in just a couple minutes to draw your blood and we'll test it to see where your Beta hcg levels are, figure out how far along you really are."
Olivia nodded and looked at the picture of the ultrasound. "Thank you," she said gently, never taking her eyes off the first picture of their baby. It was still little, it was early, but it was real, it was there, and she couldn't be more thrilled.
Charles looked over her shoulder and smiled, kissing the crook of her neck. "Our baby is going to be beautiful."
The phlebotomist came in and Olivia smiled. "Hi Olivia, I'm just going to take some blood so we can take a look. That okay?"
Olivia nodded. "Try this arm though. My veins are deep but they usually find a vein in this arm pretty quick."
The phlebotomist nodded and got out her tourniquet and wrapped it around Olivia's arm, rubbing circles over the opposite side of Olivia's elbow. It took her a minute but she found a vein and inserted the needle so that she could draw some blood. Once the tube was about halfway full, she took the tourniquet off and then took the tube out, disposing of the needle in the sharps container. "All done! The doctor should be back in shortly. We need to run this and she just needs to take a look at the report. Sit tight."
Olivia smiled. "Thank you." Once the phlebotomist left and the door closed Olivia kissed Charles passionately. She broke the kiss and smiled. "Sorry, I just really needed to do that." She smiled and blushed.
Charles tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Never apologize for kissing me. Never," he whispered and kissed her gently. They waited for the doctor to come in and when she finally did she smiled.
The doctor looked at them. "Looks like my estimation was right, you're at six weeks and maybe a couple days. But because you are so high risk because of your age I want to see you every week, sooner if you feel like something isn't right. Okay? But in the meantime, rest, as much as you can. I know you're a cop. You're on desk duty until you deliver. Eat well, and limit your caffeine. There is no reason that you can't have a healthy pregnancy at your age, but you need to be monitored closely, and you need to take care of yourself."
Olivia nodded. "Whatever I need to do so this little one is born healthy." She smiled and looked up at Charles. "And something tells me Charles will make sure I'm taking care of myself."
Charles smiled. "You got that right," he said gently, kissing her temple.
The doctor smiled. "Great, make your next appointment, then go home and climb into bed, take it easy for the rest of the day."
Olivia smiled and nodded. "Yes, ma'am." She got up and walked to the front desk, making her appointment for the following week, then taking Charles's hand and walking with him to catch a taxi. Once they were home Olivia smiled at him. "To bed, as the doctor said," she said, pulling him closer.
Charles wrapped her in his arms. "The doctor told you to take it easy."
Olivia smirked. "It's not as if you're going to be pushing me against the wall and fucking me senseless, that was this morning. I'm just going to be on my knees, finishing what I started in the shower."
Charles pulled her closer and groaned. "You're so bad."
Olivia smirked. "Take me to bed and find out just how good I am," she bit her bottom lip.
Charles picked her up and carried her upstairs to their bedroom. He set her down and watched her take her shirt off over her head. "God you're sexy."
Olivia smiled and unhooked her bra, tossing it to the side. "Just you wait." She slipped out of her pants and panties. She pushed him onto the bed and watched him adjust himself so he was laying vertically on the bed. She popped the button on his jeans and unzipped them, pulling them down along with his boxers. "Mm, already so hard for me." She settled between his legs and leaned in and took him into her mouth. She moaned and started moving over him.
Charles groaned and tangled his hand in her hair. "My God Livia," he gasped as she started massaging him with her tongue. "Oh my God, don't stop."
Olivia smirked and looked up at him as she continued everything she was doing, before she took him deeper down her throat, before replacing her mouth with her hand. "Come for me, Charles. Let me taste you." She flipped her hair over to one side and continued her ministrations with her mouth. Within a minute he was coming in her mouth and she moaned as she sucked him dry, spitting it back onto him, then licking it off like a lollipop. "Good boy." She smiled and kissed up his torso, settling against him.
Charles was panting. "Oh you're so good at that."
Olivia chuckled. "I'm glad you like it when I do that, because I love doing it for you." She rested her head against his chest. "It's real now," she whispered and rubbed her still flat stomach. "We're really having a baby."
Charles smiled. "We're really having a baby." He rubbed her arm and held her tight. "I can't wait to see your body change, you're going to glow. You're already starting to glow."
Olivia smiled. "Do you want to find out what it is?"
Charles smiled. "I'd like to. But that's just because I like to have all the information as soon as possible."
Olivia looked up at him. "Me too." She whispered. "But I don't care what we have, as long as he or she is healthy."
Charles kissed her temple. "That's all I want too." He saw her climb over the covers and he smiled. "Tired?" he asked gently.
Olivia nodded and cuddled up with him, as close as she could get. "Mm, exhausted. We had quite the morning."
Charles smiled and chuckled. "We did." He took his clothes off and set an alarm before he climbed under the covers with her, holding her close. "Let's get some rest before the kids come home. And before we have any more fun."
Olivia smiled and nuzzled into him. "Okay," she closed her eyes. "I love you Charles."
Charles looked down at her. "I love you too, Livia. Get some sleep my love," but before he got the sentence out she was already asleep. He smiled and closed his eyes, within moments he too was asleep.
The next thing they both knew his alarm was going off. Olivia groaned and buried her head in the pillow. Charles looked at her and smiled. "You can keep sleeping until the kids get home but you should at least put on some clothes, because the kids are going to want to see you when they get home from school."
Olivia sighed and got up, putting on clothes, picking up her clothes from earlier and putting them in the hamper. She climbed back into bed and under the covers and snuggled back up to Charles and fell back to sleep. She didn't realize it then, but this was just the beginning of the fatigue in her pregnancy, the joint pain and depression would soon follow.
Charles smiled and stayed with her for about another half an hour, then he slowly, carefully got up, so as to not wake her. He put on clothes and then walked downstairs, making himself and Olivia lunch as he waited for the kids to get home. He finished making them a charcuterie board when the kids came through the door. Charles thanked the nannies and looked at the kids. "How about we go see Olivia and bring her some lunch?"
Noah looked up at Charles. "Dad, is mom okay?"
Charles knelt down in front of him and smiled. "She's a wonderful bud, just a little tired. She's taking a bit of a nap right now, and I just made her some lunch. Don't worry, okay?"
Noah nodded. "Okay." He said gently. Charles and the three kids walked upstairs and Charles walked into the bedroom first, seeing Olivia sitting up, rubbing her eyes. "Mommy!" Noah said and ran towards her.
Olivia smiled and opened her arms. "Hello sweet boy!" She kissed the top of his head as she hugged him. She looked up and saw the girls. "Hello sweet girls!" She hugged each of them and kissed the top of their heads. "How was school today?" A collective "good" came from the kids before they all climbed on the bed and gathered around her. Charles presented her with the charcuterie board and Olivia smiled. "You beautiful, beautiful man." She took a piece of salami and ate it and moaned. "Mm. So good." She swallowed and looked at Charles. "Should we tell them?"
Nicole piped up. "Tell us what!?" she asked excitedly.
Charles smiled. "I think we should or Nicole might burst."
Olivia smiled. "Well, my sweet kiddos, your dad and I… we're having a baby," she smiled and felt tears spring to her eyes. "We found out this morning when you were at school." Bianca and Nicole were both excited, but Noah seemed sad. "Noah, sweet boy, what's wrong?"
Noah looked up at her. "Are you going to love me less when the baby comes?"
Olivia pulled him in for a hug. "Oh, love, never." She said and kissed his forehead. "The new baby is going to need some extra attention for a little bit, but I will never love you any less, okay?"
Noah nodded. "Okay."
A/N: I think next chapter might be the heartbreaking chapter, or I'll give it one more chapter for everyone to enjoy the happy. I don't know. We'll see. Anyway, if you liked this and feel so inclined, leave a review please! Thanks. See you as soon as I can!
