Back with a new chapter! I have a lot on my plate right now, but I'm trying to stay on top of my stories, but this month is CRAZY, especially since I start back to school on Wednesday. Anyway, enjoy this one.
Olivia was pressed up against the wall, her hands pinned on either side of her head as Charles kissed her slowly, and she melted into him when her phone went off. "Mm," she pulled away. "I should get that," she whispered. "It could be important."
Charles let her hands go. "I hope it's not, you're off today, and I want to ravish you."
Olivia smirked and ran her hands over his chest. "I want to be ravished by my husband." She heard her phone go off again and she looked at Charles. "I'm sorry, give me two minutes," she ran over to her phone and she saw it. His name. Burton Lowe. She sighed and read his texts. He wanted to meet her, he wanted to talk. She hesitated for a moment then texted back that she'd be there as soon as she could. "I have to do something, but it'll be less than an hour. I promise," she whispered and kissed him gently. "Please don't be mad," she whispered against his lips.
Charles held her hips. "Heavy lies the crown," he whispered.
Olivia nodded. "Yeah," she whispered. "Let me get dressed. The sooner I take care of this the sooner I can get back here so you can ravish me." She got dressed and fixed her hair and makeup and then grabbed her purse. "I'll be back as soon as I can." She kissed him passionately and then pulled away, hesitating for a moment. Burton had this strange power over her. He had since she was 16, and she couldn't explain it. "I love you, Charles."
Charles smiled softly. "I love you too, Livia."
Olivia smiled. "I'll be back soon." Olivia hopped into the Crown Vic she'd brought home and drove to the diner. She walked in and saw Burton. She sat down and looked at him, a fire in her eyes.
Burton looked at her. "I'm just asking you to listen, I'm not asking you to forgive me."
Olivia nodded. "I'm listening."
Burton began. "I know the last time we met I wasn't at my best."
Olivia furrowed her brow. "You threw a glass at me."
Burton stopped her. "Uh-uh, at the door."
Olivia rolled her eyes. "What's your point?"
Burton took a deep breath. "That night I hit bottom. I'm in AA now, I've been sober for 5 and a half months."
Olivia softened a bit. "Okay."
Burton let out a breath. "I'm on my ninth step, I'm making amends, my list of people I've hurt is long, but I figured I'd start at the beginning."
Olivia looked down at the table. "I don't know that I'm ready to forgive you Burton. You hurt me. A lot. You have this power over me Burton. I don't know why but I don't like it."
Burton looked at her. "I don't want that power Olivia. I just want you to know how sorry I am."
Olivia sighed. "Burton, I can't keep doing this. I'm married. I almost didn't come to this meeting today."
Burton nodded. "Okay, go home to your husband, but maybe come to my meeting tomorrow night, I want you to know I'm serious about this. I'm sharing tomorrow night. It won't be about you, it won't be about us."
Olivia looked at him. "I'll think about it. But I really need to go now." She got up and walked out of the diner. She got in the Crown Vic and drove home. She walked into the brownstone and didn't see Charles. "Charles? Love?" She called through the house. She walked up to the bedroom and saw him sleeping on the bed. She smiled and rested against the door jam. "My love," she whispered. She pushed off the door jam and changed into pajama shorts and a tank top and she slipped into bed, resting her head on Charles's chest. She was home, and she'd never been more thankful.
Charles stirred and he looked down at Olivia. "Hey, you're back."
Olivia smiled. "Told you I wouldn't be long," she kissed him softly.
Charles caressed her face. "Everything okay?"
Olivia nodded. "Yeah. Um… it wasn't a work call." She said softly, feeling guilty for having lied by omission. "It… it was Burton."
Charles's eyes widened. "Burton, your groomer, Burton?"
Olivia slinked away. "Yeah."
Charles sat up. "How could you not tell me!?"
Olivia sat next to him and looked down at the bed. "Because I knew you wouldn't like it."
Charles stood up. "No I don't like my wife going to meet the man who sexually assaulted her when she was 16, who sexually assaulted how many women?"
Olivia stood up. "I can protect myself Charles."
Charles looked at her. "What did he want?"
Olivia shook her head. "He's in AA, on his ninth step, making amends to those who he's harmed. He didn't know where to start so he figured he'd start at the beginning."
Charles raised an eyebrow. "He wants forgiveness?"
Olivia shook her head. "He just wanted me to listen. He wants me to go to his AA meeting tomorrow night."
Charles whipped his head around to look at her. "No, you're not going."
Olivia looked at him. "I'm sorry, I don't remember asking your permission."
Charles walked closer to her. "He's going to hurt you again, Olivia."
Olivia looked down at the floor. "He has this weird power over me Charles. I considered not going today, but I can't say no to him."
Charles squared his shoulders. "So if he asked you to sleep with him… you couldn't say no?"
Olivia looked at him, her mouth agape. "I'd never cheat on you Charles, you know that damn well."
Charles looked at her. "So you can say no to him."
Olivia sighed and ran her hands through her hair. "I just want to help him, Charles. That's all."
Charles moved even closer to her. "Help him? Help the man who assaulted you? Who threw a glass that narrowly missed your damn head?!"
Olivia looked at him. "He was drunk."
Charles stood right in front of her. "That doesn't give him a free pass Olivia. Not from throwing that glass, not from assaulting women, and not from assaulting you."
Olivia felt tears prick her eyes. "Maybe I want to help him so much because I couldn't help my mom, I don't know, but either way, you don't get to tell me what I can and can't do."
Charles looked at her. "So you're going to the meeting tomorrow?"
Olivia shrugged. "I don't know." She pushed past him and sat on the bed. "I didn't want to start a fight, Charles. I hate fighting with you. It scares me that you'll leave me." She wiped her eyes. "I'll give you space if you want it, I'll go sleep in the guest room."
Charles sat next to her and sighed. "I'm not mad at you, Olivia. I hate fighting with you too. I'm just concerned about you, about my wife."
Olivia rested her head on his shoulder and let the tears fall. "I'm sorry," she whispered, nuzzling into the crook of his neck, crying harder.
Charles held her close and rubbed her back in soothing circles. "It's okay now, you're okay."
Olivia moved from the crook of his neck, sniffling and wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry I lied to you, I shouldn't have." She looked at him. "I love you so much Charles, please know that."
Charles lifted her chin up and wiped her eyes. He smiled at her. "I love you too, Livia. So much. I'm sorry I got worked up. I just don't like that guy. And I know I've never met him, but anyone who could hurt you the way he did… Olivia I don't have to meet him."
Olivia nodded. "I know, I shouldn't have gone behind your back. If you don't want me to go to the meeting tomorrow I'll text Burton right now and let him know that I won't be there and that this will be the last time he hears from me and I'll block his number. You are more important to me than he is. He's my past, Charles, and it took me 40 years to realize what he did was wrong. I thought that because it was a different time, and that I wanted to have sex with him that it was okay. It took other women coming forward, it took one of my former detectives trying to tell me, it took him being so callous towards his other victims for me to realize that what he did wasn't okay. And when I confronted him he told me I wouldn't get an apology. I think I went because I so desperately wanted that acknowledgement of wrongdoing from him."
Charles caressed her face. "What if we both went to that meeting? So you can get some closure, and I can make sure you're safe. I know you can take care of yourself. I know you're a big girl, but you're my wife and I'll be damned if I'm going to give him the chance of even thinking of hurting you again."
Olivia nodded. "Okay," she whispered. "Do you mind if I text him and tell him that the only way I'm coming is if you come with me?"
Charles kissed her temple. "Go ahead."
Olivia took her phone and opened up her messages with Burton and sent him a text. I thought about coming to the meeting tomorrow night and I decided that I'll come, but only if my husband can come with me. Those are my terms. Olivia put her phone on the nightstand and looked at Charles. "Would I be asking too much if I asked you to make love to me?"
Charles smiled and lifted her tank top over her head. "You're never asking too much when you ask me to make love to you."
Olivia smiled and scooched back on the bed, her eyes sparkling. "Just tell me what you want me to do, Charles. Anything you want."
Charles moved closer to her. "Lay down," he whispered.
Olivia lay down and felt his lips on her skin. She let out a shaky breath. "Charles," she moaned softly. She gasped when he took her nipple into his mouth. "Oh God!"
Charles smirked and continued to suck and nibble on her nipple. "Relax, let me show you how much I love you. How much I need you."
Olivia closed her eyes and nodded, her breath heavy. "Show me," she whispered. "God, please, show me."
Charles paid equal attention to her breasts for about five minutes, taking his time before he continued his exploration down her body. Licking and biting over her skin. He gently bit on her hip bones, all the while she was arching her back, squirming beneath him. He held her hips firmly down on the bed. "Relax," he whispered. "Let me cherish you."
Olivia let out a whiny moan. "I want you."
Charles smiled. "I want you too, but I'm going to go slow and cherish every second I have you beneath me. I know this won't be the last time, I know we have forever, but I want to put forever into cherishing you, so you know how much I love you, and that I will love you forever."
Olivia felt tears well up in her eyes, she wasn't sad, she was in awe of him. "What ever did I do in my life to deserve such an incredible man?"
Charles smiled. "You were born," he whispered. He gently circled her belly button with his tongue and he heard her sigh. "That's my girl."
Olivia scratched the back of his head and let out a soft, "Mm."
Charles kissed down the rest of her torso and pulled her shorts and panties down. He settled between her thighs and kissed her inner thighs, gently nipping at the skin. "You're intoxicating, Livia." He licked, kissed, and bit around where she wanted him most, growing her arousal more and more, knowing exactly what he was doing, and also taking things as slow as he could, needing to control himself because he wanted nothing more than to bury himself inside her and make her cum over and over, screaming his name. But he held himself back, making sure that she knew exactly how he felt for her, making sure she felt his love.
A/N: So what did we think? Did we like the little bit of drama I added in? I couldn't let it go on for the whole chapter, and I don't think it would realistically last that long anyway, because they do talk about everything. Anyway, leave a review if you're so inclined. I'll be back soon... hopefully...
