Heart and Alastor are officially together. The man even spent the night so that she could feel safe. Such a good man he is. What will the day have for them next?
Little sexual talk at the end of the chapter so warning for that!
Ch 8: Wolf in a Meadow
Morning had come and both of them slept through the night peacefully. Alastor was the first to wake around 7 or so. He yawned and got some sleep out of his eye. He looked over and saw Heart next to him sleeping like the angel she was. He tenderly leaned over and pecked her cheek then carefully got out of the bed without waking her. He tiptoed downstairs and decided he wanted to make breakfast for his gal. So, he got to work.
Heart woke up the next morning feeling a little better than last night. She was trying to remember last night actually. Why was she so tired again? When she sat up in bed, she was alone but then felt a small amount of pain on her stomach. That's when she remembered, she was attacked last night and... and... and.
She gasped. "Alastor!" She said surprised as she looked around the room and beside the bed next to her and he was nowhere.
She remembered inviting the man to stay the night. And honestly, she then remembered how happy she felt. They were an item now and it honestly made her heart swell with joy. She finally found a man that made her happy. That actually liked her in return, after years of thinking she would just be alone. At the same time...where was he?
Things went through her mind, was it all fake? A hoax? A misunderstanding? It made her frown a moment and she gripped her night shirt. She quickly jumped up out of bed, threw on her robe and made her way around the house to see if he was still around. Hoping all of last night wasn't all her imagination.
Heart checked the bathroom and he wasn't there. Then left the bedroom to check the spare bedroom. Not there either. She made her way downstairs and that's when she started to smell the food about halfway down. She slowed until she got to the bottom and made her way to the kitchen. When she spotted Alastor she calmed down a lot and just admired him as she slowly walked forward.
Alastor was in the kitchen humming as he cooked breakfast for his belle. The table was set and he was almost done with the last part of the meal. He always had sensitive hearing as a boy, that's what helped him hunt so when he heard the small footsteps of his love come down the steps and go through the living room. He turned to her with a smile meeting her halfway, "Good morning mon petite loup." He greeted her.
Heart jumped a moment from him turning around. "Jesus Al, gave me a little fright." She says with a chuckle.
"I'm so sorry dear I have impeccable hearing. Did you sleep alright though?" He asked, hugging her.
"I slept like a rock. I feel you helped me." She says as she hugs him back.
"Well, I'm not sure if I helped or not but I'm glad you felt safe and got the right amount of rest." The radio host said as he booped her nose lightly.
"It was perfect." She paused and smirked. "Can we do it again?"
"Oho my dear you like me that much already? We haven't even been together for 24 hours haha!" He chirped. "Well, I suppose we can there's no harm at all, I adored it myself."
Heart went silent for a moment at those words. He was right, it hasn't even been a full day of them being together. She went through some thoughts that maybe she had things going fast and that maybe she shouldn't push it. She didn't want to feel like she was ruining anything. This was her first relationship and she didn't want to feel like she was screwing it up already. She gripped his shirt a moment as she was quiet and in thought.
Alastor sensed something was wrong immediately, when she gripped his shirt and fell silent it was confirmed, "Darling? Darling... what's wrong?" He asked, concerned.
Heart stayed quiet for a moment longer and she put her face in his chest. "Am I moving this too fast?" She asked quietly.
"Oh no... no no... Cher, look at me." The taller man said, his heart almost breaking that his words he meant no harm by affected her like this.
Heart looked up at him and tried to not cry from the feeling.
"Oh, mon amour... don't cry I meant nothing bad by what I said. The pace we are going is fine, I assure you. Do you know why? "He asked her tenderly, petting her head and holding her close.
"Why?" She wondered quietly.
"We got along so well so quickly, it's natural... not rushed. I think ... we knew before we knew if that makes any sense. Our bodies and hearts had already been made for each other." The brunet said looking at her in the eyes with a loving smile.
Heart smiled softly up at him. "So…like a soul mate kind of thing?" She tried to connect.
He nods, "Yes exactly. Think about it carefully and remember how well we seemed to click together on the first day we met up to now..."
She blushed a little bit and smiled slightly. "I guess I can see that. Especially with a gentleman like yourself."
"My love, I could not be happier that we have the same feelings for each other, and I adore that we can go as fast or slow as we want. Either direction we go does not bother me, as long as you are happy." Alastor smiles at her, holding her close.
Heart holds him tightly and nuzzles her face into his chest again. "As long as I'm with you, I'm as happy as can be." A content sigh escaped her.
"That's my little wolf, are you hungry by chance? Because I have this lovely spread of food that we can feast upon." He pulled her away from his chest slowly then booped her nose.
"I'm starving. What did you decide to spoil me with this morning?" She asked as she booped him back
"Hmm well I raided your fridge, and cupboards and you did not disappoint with supplying me with the goods." Alastor chuckled. "I made some wonderful eggs, toast with jam and butter with some bacon and a small stack of pancakes. I made coffee too. Ready for you to add whatever you desire to it." He chirped proudly showing off the display.
Heart looked and was surprised by what all he had made. She put a hand to her chest. "Al, this all looks so fantastic. You didn't have to do all this." She said and then looked back to him.
"I wanted to cher, you deserve to be pampered and spoiled, especially from last night. Besides, you need to get your strength back up!" He kissed her cheek, "And of course, this is also to celebrate us finding one another too, doing this for you was absolutely a joy."
Heart smiled and kissed his cheek back. "What did I ever have to do to deserve you?" She kissed his cheek again.
"Only be you, my dear. Perfect and beautiful you." The man replied with a boop to her nose.
Heart giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned up to kiss him on the lips quickly before going over to the food.
Alastor could not react quick enough. "Hey now! That's unfair! Cheeky little wolf." He chuckled sitting down across from her.
She giggled as she started to dig into the food. Going for the pancakes first. She took a bite and hummed in delight. "Oh man do I love pancakes." She says with her mouth a little full.
"Did you notice something special in the pancakes? Those little black dots are chocolate chips. Since I knew you loved sweets and all." Alastor chuckled, placing his egg on the toast with some butter.
Heart felt her eyes light up with that. "I thought there was something extra good in these!" She got jittery in her seat for a moment. "This is absolutely amazing."
"Ah yes doll. I had to spoil you further, fluffy sweet chocolate chip pancakes, the cat's pajamas to you!" The man chirped.
She took another bite and hummed in delight. "Spoil me too much and I might expect it all the time." She joked once she swallowed her bite.
Alastor put his head on top of his hands. "And why would that be a bad thing? You're my doll after all."
"I didn't say it was a bad thing." She says and gives him a wink before finishing the pancake and grabbing some toast, bacon, and egg. She made it in a little sandwich.
"Now that is berries my dear, how come I never thought of that." The radio host chuckled and copied her.
Heart chuckled. "Sometimes you have to have a wild imagination. Have you ever thought about putting peanut butter on a bagel instead of cream cheese? It's the best." She told him.
"Darling you're going to have to introduce your culinary concoctions to me because I am fully intrigued now." Alastor says with a glint in his eye.
"I don't have many but I can definitely try to introduce them." She giggled. "Have you ever done some crazy combination of things?"
"Hm I'm not that crazy believe it or not cher. I made a very spicy jambalaya with my mother once. That nearly killed her haha!" The man joked.
"I like spicy. Maybe you should make it again and try it out on me." Heart told him.
"Hmm perhaps I can see if you can handle the heat little wolf." He winked
"If I can handle you then I think I can handle anything." She flirted with a wink in return.
"Sharp as a tack and fiery as Cajun seasoning darling! Ah you're berries and the cat's meow." He swooned.
Heart giggled. "You're ridiculous. What am I to do with you?"
"Perhaps rule over my heart forever?" He proposed.
"I may think over your proposal in my royal court." Heart says, trying to have a British accent and sit tall like a queen. She then laughed from her own silliness.
Alastor gave a laugh, "Darling you're an absolute perfect person for theatre, I adore you, my lady."
"Oh, don't think so. I'd never be good at something like that. Although I have been told I have a good singing voice. I never believe them though." She says as she swats her hand around.
"Pish posh dear, the stage is flowing in your veins! Say, perhaps you could do a performance on my show one day! I'm sure all of New Orleans would love your gorgeous voice!" He said with some dizziness while eating a piece of plain pancake with syrup and butter.
Heart blushed and felt nervous about that idea. "Oh, I don't know about doing that. I'd have to gain a little more courage in order to do that." She says to him.
"No rush my little wolf, when you feel at ease. Know the invitation is always open." He winks finishing half of his pancake stack.
"Thanks Al." She smiled before going back and eating another pancake. As she sat and ate, she was wondering if she should go to work today. She wanted to, it upset her a little to not go but at the same time she was wondering if she should rest more from last night. Everything that happened she was almost afraid to go outside. Who knows if those men wanted something more from her? Waiting for her.
"So, my darling, I see some smoke coming from your ears from your little brain being deep in thought, penny for them?" He asked after observing her for a moment.
Heart sighed. "I'm just thinking about what I should do. Going to work, I mean." She told him.
"Hmm... that is a tough spot. Luckily, I don't have to be on air for another two hours. It's up to you my dear. If you decide to go, I'll escort you and pick you up. If you stay home, I'll come back tonight. I packed an extra set of things in case you needed me tonight as well." He said to her, holding her hand in his.
Heart takes the last bite of her pancake. "Maybe I should stay home. I just don't feel safe going out at the moment." She then looked up at him. "Plus, I can always turn my radio on and it feels like you're still here." She gave a tiny giggle.
"Aha you are right my little wolf, pamper yourself today for work tomorrow. I will swing by the library and let Kristen know, she handled it herself before you came to town after the former librarian had been murdered and all. She's quite the capable gal!" He patted her head standing up while beginning to clear his side of the table.
"Make sure to tell her I'll make it up to her. She can have a day off soon as well." Heart told him as she finished up her leftover eggs.
"I will relay the information to her she would want you safe and sound." Alastor began to clean the dishes while Heart finished eating.
Heart finished her coffee and took the cup to the sink. "I'm going to relax in the tub for a little bit. Don't be afraid to come ask me if you need anything." She says as she wraps an arm around him and gets on her toes to kiss his cheek.
"Sounds like a wonderful idea my darling. If you're not finished before I have to be on my way, I love you and will be back after work." He hummed, kissing her back.
The long-haired woman smiled and had a dusking of pink on her cheeks. "I love you too. Thank you for making breakfast. I really enjoyed it." She ran a hand across his back before leaving the kitchen.
"Anything for you my little wolf, now go and rest to enjoy yourself" The radio host hummed.
"I'll try." She calls from the living room and goes up the stairs and to the bedroom. She headed to the bathroom and then started the water for the bath. She made sure the water was warm and then added some bubbles to it. She undressed from her nightgown and then sunk into the water with a relaxing sigh.
Alastor had watched her ascend the stairs and listened to her prepare the bath. Something caught his attention though. It was his shadow tugging on his pant leg at his feet.
"What is it?" He asked in a whisper. The shadow gave a tiny moan and pointed to the living room tugging his pant leg to go with it. "Alright lead the way. Could be dangerous for our Heart."
The shadow led its master into Heart's living room then pointed at the bookshelf.
"I feel it... but ... why would there be any magic here...?" Alastor whispered to himself confused.
The shadow hummed and dared to rise from the floor to look at the bookshelf to find the source of the feeling. Then it stopped pointing to a book at the end. "What's this? A voodoo book on legendary rituals and lore? But... no one has ever gotten their hands on this one…" He said, surprised. Daring to take it from the shelf to look at it.
Heart was relaxing in the tub now and she shut her eyes a little and just soaked in it for a little bit. Part of her wish she turned the radio on then she'd have some music but she didn't feel like getting out of the tub now, so she went with it and just started to sing something softly to herself.
Heart was lost in her singing as it eventually got louder. She honestly forgot that she had a guest downstairs. She did like to sing and wanted to always sing somewhere and get popular but she was never that good. People didn't like what she sang. She was busy singing I Can't Give You Anything but Love by Cliff Edwards. Her little love-struck mind was stuck on the mushy stuff right now.
The Creole man paused mid reach for the book, hearing a growing melody come from upstairs. "Heart?" He asked softly to himself, forgetting the book, and making his way up the stairs in a trance-like manner, not being able to get enough of her voice.
"Rome wasn't built in a day, kid. You have to pay, kid, for what you get. But I am willing to wait, dear, Your little mate, dear, will not forget. You have a lifetime before you. I'll adore you, come what may." She sang nicely and was starting to wash her body as she sang.
He was in a trance...her voice and choice of song invigorating him as if she were a siren at sea.
Heart continued to sing unaware of her voice carrying out towards the ears of the man. When she finished the song, she laughed. "Guess it is good to sing now and then." She said as she started to wash her hair.
Alastor was completely entranced still having the girl's voice echo in his ears and mind a smile of happiness lulled him but was snapped out of his dreaming by his shadow.
"What!" He hissed in a whisper. The shadow pointed to the clock to show he was running five minutes late. "Sacrebleu! I'm going to be late!" He turned and started going back down the half-climbed stairs and bolting to the kitchen to grab his coat, bag, and hat, then fly out the front door making sure it was locked behind him.
Heart listened to the door closing shut. "Alastor must be off to work." She said out loud and finished her hair and then sat back in the tub and sighed in content. She got lost in her thoughts about how just in the amount of time she has been here, she was honestly surprised to have found a man. It honestly made her feel really giddy inside. She giggled in happiness at the thought
Meanwhile Alastor was bolting down the sidewalk and just managed to barely catch the train car. If he missed it, he'd have to wait for another, causing him to be late. Guess having such long legs helps! When he was on the way to work, he sat and looked out still thinking of Heart. He was so invigorated and smitten for her. Then he remembered the book...that voodoo book no one in the realm was able to get their hands on...except her somehow. That book... holds very powerful rituals and legends that could be extremely beneficial to him. Oh, how he thought. His eyes glowing red for a second then going back to his reddish-brown color with a grin on his face.
Alastor had made it to the stop, popped into the library and told Kristen what had happened. She assures him she'll be fine and hopes Heart is better soon. Then he made it to work right on time.
Heart finally got out of the bath and dried off. She went and dried her hair a little and got back into a nightgown for the day. She wasn't planning on going out today. Maybe with Alastor coming back tonight she could make him dinner. "It's a perfect idea! He did make me dinner before after all. It only seems fair." She said with a giggle. She ran downstairs and then grabbed a cookbook out from her bookshelf and sat on the couch to look over on what she should make for her man tonight.
Heart looked through the old cookbook that she took from her mother's kitchen from home. There were a bunch of recipes in it. Some recipes written in it. She couldn't find anything. She then took out a new cookbook she bought and it had some New Orleans dishes in it. She figured she should try something from there.
Heart looked at the clock and noticed that Alastor was probably on the air now. She quickly went to the kitchen and turned the radio on and she already had the station selected. It just had to come in.
Alastor had gotten ready and was on air all day, perhaps hoping his love was listening to him. He wanted to do something special for her, find the song she was singing and play it. He was finding the perfect time to play it when he thinks she will be listening.
The radio buzzed and hummed as it came to life. "If you're joining us now ladies and gentlemen, this is your host, Alastor, bringing you the top-notch news and playing the greatest songs in between."
Heart rested her arms against the countertop and highered the radio a little bit as the station came to life. She sighed in content as she heard his voice come through.
"So far today, it's been slow but the news is picking up. A reminder of the temperature and weather. It's going to be a tad warm with some storms tonight to cool it all off. So, get what ya need done today before the rain! In other news the recent gang activity has slowed down but hasn't disappeared... watch yourselves out there folks... they are meaner than a gator in the bayou when his dinners disturbed." Alastor warned.
"Good thing I don't plan to go out today." Heart says as she went back to the living room and sat on the couch.
"And now here is, 'I Can't Give You Anything but Love' by Cliff Edwards. A special request for a special listener out there. More news to come after the song enjoy folks!" The host said before the song began to play. He was off air for a moment to gather his notes and any last-minute stories that came in. But he couldn't stop thinking of her as the song played. Hearing her in his mind... his heart swelling.
Heart looked at the radio and blushed. "He heard me!?" She squeaked and she leaned back with a small groan.
"I'm embarrassed." She put her hand on her face and just let out a breath. "Well...it's still sweet of him either way." She smiled and sat back up. She hummed to the song as she went back to look through the cookbook.
As she looked and was happy to finally find something that would be simple and she knew she could do it. "Finally!"
Now that Heart knew what she was making for dinner she now just wanted to wait for a little while until then. She went and tried to clean the house a little while she had the radio station on. Then once she was done, she sat and started to read her book she started.
"I hope she heard that..." Alastor said to himself, smiling a little. Sad he couldn't be with her. He took off his specs and gave them a wipe then readjusted them on his face preparing to go back on air as the song was nearing the end.
As the song came to an end Alastor cleared his throat to speak, "I hope you enjoyed that little number folks, now with more news-" He rambled on about the popular news around the country keeping everyone informed of the events in the world outside New Orleans.
It was a quarter to four and Alastor finished his last broadcast a little early. He was excited, which means more time to be with Heart! He hoped she was alright when he wasn't there all day after such an event happened to her. He was going to cook for her and spoil her again but oh boy was he in for a surprise. The host packed up his work bag, put on his coat and hat, then went on his way saying goodnight to the security guards and other workers still finishing up. As he got outside a roll of thunder caught his attention, "Hm, a bad storm? They're early. No matter, I think I can beat it home." He chuckled hurrying to the stop hoping the train car will be there soon.
Heart was starting dinner and honestly, she hoped Alastor would be surprised. It was her first time making a New Orleans dish. She knew it wouldn't be best but she was going to try her damnest. She had the book open to the page and had all the ingredients out on the counter. "Ok let's get started."
She then started to make everything together for this shrimp dish. She still had the radio on even though Alastor was done for the day. As Heart was in the middle of making the food, she saw it starting to pour down rain outside. She stepped away from the pot to look out her window better. She then started to get worried as she didn't want to picture Alastor in this storm. "I hope he is ok." She whispered to herself as she looked out sadly.
Alastor was almost to the stop when it began to downpour and the winds picked up. He fought to keep his umbrella on him but it flipped inside out and snapped, "Blast it!" He hissed running to the stop, seeing the car already there, but it began to leave. "Wait! Hold the car!" He yelled but the wind was so strong and loud with the downpour it was garbled and no one heard him. As he got to the stop the car was already gone. "Merde!" He yelled angrily trying to find some shelter but could still watch for the train car, he was soaked already. And all he thought about was Heart being alone and hungry waiting for him.
Finally, the car came and he was soaked to the bone. He got on and headed home, standing in the car instead of sitting so he didn't get the seat wet. He felt miserable and sad that Heart was probably worrying about him.
Heart gave a worried sigh but went back to finishing the food. "At least I'll have dinner waiting for him. I hope he'll be surprised." She had a small smile as she went and let the food simmer and be warm and she started to set the table. Grabbing some of her good plates from the cabinet and some silverware. She made sure it was set nicely and then looked at it for a moment. "This needs something." She thought out loud and then remembered about a candle she had and put that in the middle of the table and lit it. "There we go. Now, do I have wine or something?" Heart went to look around the house to see if she had alcohol.
Alastor had finally made it to Hearts house and he was thankful she had a covering over her front door. He then gave the secret shave and a haircut knock so she'd know it's him. He put on a smile for her despite being soaked.
Heart just got done plating the food when she heard the knock on the door. Unfortunately, she didn't have wine, but she did have a bottle of Tennessee Whiskey that she put on the table. When she heard the knock, she knew it was Alastor. She quickly went to the door and opened it. She saw him standing on her front porch, drenched from head to toe. She covered her mouth a moment. "Oh, my stars! Alastor, get your hinny in here! You're soaking wet!" She said in a worried tone as she grabbed his hand that was cold.
The man chuckled at her ordering him inside and grabbing his hand to pull him inside. "Haha no worries my dear, I'm fine. Had a bit of a scrap with the wind is all." He says as she dragged him in.
"I bet your chilled to the bone." She says as she helps him take his wet coat off. "I wish I had some extra clothes for you to change into so you didn't have to be all wet."
"Aha it's alright my dear I packed another set of pjs just in case not to worry." He said blushing a little.
"Why don't you put them on, get comfortable. Then we can have dinner." She told him and smiled wide. "Oh yea!" Heart pulled him a little towards the kitchen. "I made dinner by the way so, surprise!"
"Oh, my darling! My goodness you surprised me little darlin, it smells wonderful I'm... I'm speechless!" The host said with a little surprised tone.
Heart was proud of herself. "I can cook." She giggled. "I even tried to make a New Orleans themed dish just for you. I don't know how good it is but I was happy to try." She told him.
"Well, my little wolf I'm going to dry off and change, then I'm going to hug you tightly and kiss you all over because of how over the moon I am that you did this for me." He boops her nose then heads upstairs to change.
Heart blushed but giggled with glee at how happy he looked. When he went upstairs and did a little happy twirl before going into the kitchen. She wanted to make sure everything was still ok and good. She sat down and waited. She would have started eating but she didn't want to start without him
Alastor had gotten dressed and did his best to dry off his hair that was a little wet still and hung up his clothes over the bathtub so they'd dry. After changing into his warm pajamas, he grabbed his robe and headed downstairs to his love.
She heard him come back down the steps and quickly went to the counter to turn on the small radio and it was perfect as it started to play a small relaxing song that was on. She then went to the entrance of the kitchen and stood there for him.
"Ah, my darling, I'm sorry I took so long." Alastor began, then turned the corner to see the layout. He was again speechless. "Heart... this is wonderful! Look at all this you've done. Oh, I was so worried you were waiting on me to cook... I think you deserve a reward, my love." He says picking her up in his arms to hug her, assaulting her face with kisses.
"You didn't have me waiting long." She told him. "I figured it only be fair." Then when he picked her up, she gave a small squeak. Then giggled as he started to kiss her face.
"My little wolf you're the cat's meow, pajamas, the whole shebang! Ahaha!" The radio host says with so much excitement, still kissing her and holding her tight.
The woman giggled more. "Al, you give me too much credit. I don't even know how it tastes yet." She told him
"Poppycock on the taste! My little wolf made me dinner, you bet your britches I'm eating it regardless!" The man said happily.
"Well as long as you aren't going to be a critic." Heart says with a chuckle.
"Of course not, here let me set you down so we can dig in!" He said giving her one last kiss before setting her back down on the kitchen floor.
"Yes, let's. Don't want it getting cold on us." She kissed him back and then went to sit back down at the table.
He takes his seat at the table and waits until she is settled. He knows she wants to see his reaction so he went ahead and took the first bite. His eyes went big like golf balls as he chewed and swallowed it. He looked at her and his smile grew then dug in more as if he couldn't get enough.
Heart was glad that he liked it. So much so that it made the man stop talking and she knew that man liked to flap his gums. She shook her head and then took a bite herself. It was pretty damn good if she should think so herself. Did a wonderful job on it. She wanted to make more from the cookbook now.
"Mmm... oh... darling this... this is beautiful!" Alastor said still eating. It seemed his manners went away and he was just enjoying the food.
Heart gave a giggle at him and was glad he was enjoying himself. "Yes, for my first time making it, I'm surprised at how it turned out."
"Little darlin this is stupendous! I can't get enough! It is perfect!" He could not stop raving over the dish.
"Oh, now you're just saying that." Heart chuckled as she took another bite.
"I mean it, perhaps maybe since you cooked dinner, I could help with desert~" He flirted lidding his eyes at her raising his eyebrows with a smirk.
She blushed a moment. "O-Oh yea?" She stuttered. "What would you have in mind? I know you're not much for sweets."
"That is true my dear but I make one exception to that." He got up and walked around to her and whispered, "You." Before walking to get more water from the faucet.
Heart started to turn redder than a tomato. She started to stumble over words as she couldn't think of any. Her brain felt like it was fried. "Do...do what...uh...I mean...are you-?" She couldn't even finish her sentence
"Haha are you alright der cher? You're redder than a Cajun pepper seasoning."
"I'm ok." Heart lies quickly.
His smile shrinks a little and feels he went too far maybe... "I'm sorry, cher... I shouldn't have been so cheeky." He says softly, cleaning his part of the table.
"No no, you're ok." She says quickly to apologize. "Don't be sorry. I'm...just not used to something like that is all. I've never had words like that be said to me. That and... I'm nervous about that kind of thing." She said the last part softly.
"I'm... usually not like that either darling... I don't know what came over me... please forget I said anything I didn't mean to make you feel nervous." He said embarrassed, his smile gone as he washed the dishes.
Heart noticed the downheartedness in his voice. She went up to him and wrapped her arms around him and put her face in his back. "I'm sorry for reacting that way. Please know that I don't mind you saying that. It just gets me a little... flustered." She admitted to him.
He jumped a little and paused cleaning. "Darling... I was out of line... as a man... please... I feel ridiculous." Alastor said, slightly frustrated.
She squeezed him a moment before letting him go. She didn't say anything as she walked back over to the table. Why did she have to open her big mouth and say that stuff? It's not like she didn't want to do those things, but at the same time she was nervous about it since she has never been with someone in that way before. To feel special in that way. She looked at the whiskey on the table still and opened it and filled a glass halfway with it then took a small sip of it.
He took her dishes and cleaned them too staying quiet. The man was quiet... for once... he always flapped his gums ... Alastor felt he overstepped and made her uncomfortable. He was an idiot because he had forgotten she was nearly violated almost two nights ago. He slapped his forehead angrily at that, "Stupid" He muttered to himself.
The radio was still on but part of her wasn't paying attention to it. Then a song started and she lifted her head at it. She smiled small and went back up to the man. "Al?" She started to get his attention.
He was still cleaning but he looked at her with sad eyes, "Hm?"
"Would you like to dance with me?" Heart asked as her smile grew a slightly, hoping it would cheer him up a little.
"Forgive me my dear... but... I feel I've spoiled the mood. Perhaps another time?" He sulked, going back to washing the dishes and drying them.
"Oh...ok. Another time then." She said a little disappointed. "Thank you for doing the dishes." She says before walking over to the table, grabbing her glass that had whiskey still in it and headed to the living room. She put the glass down on the side table and picked up her book and started to read where she left off. She almost forgot about the rain outside. She glanced out of the main window and watched the storm happen outside.
He nodded as he saw her go to the living room and a roll of thunder bellowed over the house. Alastor finished up then felt bothered. He shouldn't have said no to her but...he really did feel like an Imbecile. His shadow tugged on his pant leg again.
"What?" He hushed a whisper to it. The shadow pointed to the radio, then to Heart on the couch, then did a little dance. "No... I'd just ruin the mood more. I don't know what came over me to say such a very risqué thing... that isn't like me." The shadow hissed at him and smacked his leg insisting he goes to dance. It would help her. "Well... perhaps. Why not... I think I have an idea and I need your help." He smiled as the shadow smiled as well, successful in getting its master to finally get his head out of wherever it was.
Heart tried to read her book but honestly was distracted and was more interested with the rain outside. She took a sip of her drink and tried to get back to the page she was trying to read.
The radio glitched a moment from the song it was playing, then a familiar tune came on, it was the song she sang in the shower? Then Alastor appeared in front of her taking her hands and pulling her up on her feet beginning to dance to the song.
Heart didn't even realize that the song had changed the way it did. Nor did she have time to register when Alastor took the book out of her hands, put it down and then grabbed her hands into his own. "Alastor what are you-" She couldn't even finish her sentence as she was pulled up from the couch and up against him. He then started to move; it was then she realized the song that was on. She blushed.
He began to sing as they danced the thunder and lightning adding to the melody of the dance.
Heart calmed and just looked up at him with a small smile as he sang. She didn't mind the thunder and lightning outside, it calmed her down and it was relaxing. She just danced with him with a big smile and just listened to him.
He continued to sing as he twirled her then gave her a dip looking lovingly into her eyes for a moment.
She looked up at him and caressed his cheek slightly as she looked up at him happily.
He brought her up from the dip moving his hands to her hips to lift her off the ground into his arms.
Heart giggled from him lifting her up and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
He sang along with the song as he held her. Singing to her passionately, "You have a lifetime before you. I'll adore you, come what may. Please don't be blue for the present, When it's so pleasant to hear you say I can't give you anything but love, baby. That's the only thing I've plenty of, baby.~" He leaned in closer as he sang and pulled her into a kiss as he twirled around with her in his arms.
She looked at him lovingly as he sang. She almost seemed lost in a trance. When he leaned in to kiss her, she was smiling wide.
The song continued to play and Alastor lovingly kissed his gal. His heart fluttered as he did. He felt he was the absolute luckiest man in the world with her. She was so wonderful, he never wanted this to end being with her like this.
Heart put her hands in the man's hair and deepened the kiss a little.
He hummed in content when she held his head and deepened the kiss moving to the couch and sat down. He placed his gal in his lap still kissing her, moving his hands to her cheeks to hold them tenderly.
Heart pulled away, slightly panting a little. "I love you." She says softly against his lips.
"Mon amour... mon petite loup~" He cooed to her, blushing.
She giggled. "My buck." She cooed back. She kissed him again softly.
"I love you," He rubbed their noses together with a chuckle.
"Thank you for dancing with me." The woman says happily
"Anything for you darling~" Alastor breathed out.
"I kind of want to stay like this." She kisses the end of his nose. "I'm comfortable."
"Then let us be comfortable and rest." He hummed hugging her and cuddling her close.
She giggled and snuggled into him. Resting her head on his shoulder close to his neck. He then kissed his neck.
"My my little wolf quite the little nibbles you have there for me." He laughed, kissing her forehead.
Heart chuckled. "Are you complaining?" She wonders as she kisses his neck again.
"Hmmm. No." The man replied. "Please continue" he kissed her cheek in return.
Heart smiled and continued to kiss his neck with small butterfly kisses and even kissed up to his ear.
"Oh, how I am defeated by such splendid and overpowering kisses by my little wolf! She has done me in!" He teased being dramatically.
"You're so silly, my buck." Heart giggled at him.
"Only for my little wolf of course." The radio host booped her nose. "My goodness all that tapping 'around tired me out for sure! "
Heart then gave a yawn. "I agree. Want to head to bed then?"
"Sounds berries darling." Alastor said, kissing her once more, "Lead the charge."
The woman chuckled and managed to get herself off Alastor's lap and take him by the hands. "Then follow me general. Into battle!"
"To the bed-battlefield!" He rose up and followed her upstairs chuckling.
Heart laughed as they walked up the stairs and into her bedroom. She let go of his hand then and went over to the bed and sat down on the end of it.
"Mission accomplished my little wolf!" He says sitting next to her.
"Good job sir! You deserve a reward." She says and leans over and kissed his cheek
"Ah! The victories of war! You deserve one too." he smiled wrapping his arms around her kissing her face repeatedly.
"Eek!" Heart laughed as he kissed her face all over. She put her hands on his chest and pushed him slightly
"Alright alright I'm ceasing fire." The man chuckled.
"Maybe I should return fire." Heart smirked and gripped his shirt and managed to get him more onto the bed and then straddle his waist. "Oh, my general seems to be in trouble, maybe I should assist."
"Wha- ah! General down! Assistance needed." Alastor played along with a blush on his face.
"No one can help you now. Everyone is dead. It's just me and you soldier." Heart says as she leans down close to his face, laying more on top of him. "No backup available at this time."
"Oh no! It seems I am doomed! I have met my end at the hands of the deadliest soldier, the wolf!" He threw an arm up.
Heart tried to imitate a growl. "Grrr, I have a buck at my paws. Now I should eat him alive... but he is too cute for that"
"Oh, what are you going to do then? I am at your mercy!" He pleaded.
Heart ran her hands down his arms and then up his chest to his neck. "Make you a prisoner of war." She whispers and leans down to kiss his lips, locking them in place.
Alastor accepted his fate then and melted in the kiss Heart pulled him into, honestly being a prisoner of war wasn't so bad.
Heart deepened the kiss a moment as she was feeling something tingle up her spine from being on top of him and kissing him like this. She didn't know what it was but part of her wanted to stop but another part of her wanted to know where this would go. She took her hands and put them in his hair, tangling her fingers in his brown locks.
He felt a sensation build in his core... part of him wanted to stop but the other... oh he wanted it. He gave a small moan as she tangled her fingers in his hair and deepened the kiss.
She pulled away from their kiss a little. "I don't know why... but I don't want to stop." She breathed out to him.
Alastor tried to catch his breath. "I-I don't want to either you're... you're so good "
Heart chuckled softly. "And you're amazing." She whispered and leaned down to kiss him again, humming in delight at the taste of him against her lips
Alastor moved his hands carefully to her chest, ghosting over her collarbone.
Heart let go of his hair and moved her hands down his cheeks and to his neck, where she gently glided her thumbs across his Adam's apple.
He moaned a little from her touch. It was so intimate and he couldn't get enough. He then moved his hands across her chest to hold her breasts in his hands tenderly.
Heart separated from their kiss a moment and just panted. She was surprised by the touch but it was not unwelcomed. She realized just how big his hands actually were as they covered all of her. She took her hands and unbuttoned some of his night shirt and touch a little bit of the exposed skin of his upper chest and collar bone
He shivered at her touch and blushed "O-oh darling... you're so...soft."
She gave a soft chuckle. "You're soft as well. I like how your skin feels." She purred to him.
"A-ah! You're... wonderful little wolf. "He blushed deeper deciding to give her breasts a small squeeze.
Heart hummed in delight. She took her hands and went down more of his chest and lifted his shirt a little to touch his stomach.
He hummed in return moving his hands down to her stomach and carefully lifted up her shirt to feel her tender core. Heart let out a breath at his touch and his hands were still a little cold against her warm body. He trailed his hands up to her breasts and gently grabbed them giving them a little squeeze
Heart lifted his shirt a little and noticed the tiny scars that were over his chest and she traced them slightly. Alastor's hands let go of her for a moment and went to relax on her back as she traced his scars. It felt so invigorating.
Heart was curious as to where the scars came from but that is something he would tell her when he was ready. For now, she was just taking this time to admire him. "Your perfect." She whispered.
Alastor blushed deeper at her words looking into her eyes completely smitten and speechless.
Heart took her hands away and took a hold of his forearms to bring them around in front of her. She took his hands and intertwined their fingers. "I hope you don't mind, but...this is as far as I might be able to go for now." She told him sadly but had a big smile on her face.
All he did was smile and nod "I think, that is fine. A good stopping point for me as well." He hummed looking at her a little sleepy with a yawn
With his yawn it caused her to yawn. "Let's head to bed then honey." She says as she crawls off of him and up to the top of the bed.
"You don't have to tell me twice my darling." The man gave a tired laugh, following her until they cuddled under the covers together.
She snuggles up next to him. She leaned up and kissed his lips again. "Goodnight my buck." She whispers then rubbed her face into his chest.
"Goodnight my wolf." He smiled kissing her forehead as they fell asleep.
I love them so much.
