Chapter 15: Amu's POV:

What... was happening? It all happened too fast for her to comprehend. Once she'd seen his hand finally remove from Tadase's face, the fair haired boy was almost feral as he stood up and pounced on Ikuto. They both toppled onto the bed, and Amu shrieked as Tadase began tearing and clawing at Ikuto's skin. Small noises were slipping from her boyfriend. Sounds of sexual frustration. When Amu whipped her head around; towards Yaya, Rima and Nadeshiko. She felt a pain in her heart when she noticed their terrified expressions. How the hell was she supposed to fix this? How would she explain this, more like?!

"Y-Yaya... Rima... Nadeshiko.." Amu stood up and took Rima and Yaya by their arms. Nadeshiko stared at Tadase a moment longer before standing up herself. In Amu's paranoid state, she could've sworn that it wasn't Tadase she was staring at, but Ikuto. But she'd quickly disregarded the thought. Of course not. Ikuto wasn't using his Glamoury, after all! Amu shook her head and hustled the girls downstairs. Rima demanded for an explanation, and Yaya was crying. Nadeshiko was silent. Once she'd gotten them to the front door, she shoved her hands in her pocket; fully aware of the scrambling and shrieks coming from upstairs. Dear God, is this how he acted with usual arousal? She shook the thought from her head once more, with embarrassment and shame. Of course that's the first thing she thought of when it came to Tadase.

Sighing, she glanced towards the girls, biting her lip anxiously before opening her mouth to speak. "-"

"What exactly is going on?! Is he okay?! I mean, do you need help getting him to an asylum?!" Of course Rima beat her to the punch. It would have made her smile if not for the situation. Yaya was still in tears.

She needed to come up with an excuse, and quick. She didn't even worry that her parents were somewhere in the house, and could problem hear the mess going on upstairs. Not that it mattered; they were most definitely off somewhere getting their fix.

"Tadase's... He's.." Amu fumbled for a response, removing her hands from her pocket to tug at the collar of her shirt. All she needed was a quick excuse, one she could give them to calm them enough for them to leave. Then it hit her. "Schizophrenic!"

Yaya wiped her tears, playing her the lock of hair from her pigtail before looking of at her. "What's that?"

"You're kidding, right? I thought you had a higher chance of getting that in your 30's?" The skeptical tone in Rima's voice made Amu break out in a sweat.

"Y-Yes, well... I hear it's still possible to be diagnosed with! And... Lately, Tadase's been showing all of the symptoms? A-At least, that's what I heard... from his mom." Damn. Now she'd have to call his parents.

Nadeshiko was silent through it all, and her purple eyes were still glued to the staircase. "Shouldn't we go back up there and help him home, then?"

"No, no! I've got it all handled! It's... Getting late, and... Well, I think we should call off the girl's night."

Whining, Yaya stomped her feet. "Waahh, but we were having so much fun!"

The pinkette grew flustered, and she gripped the hems of her long sleeves, staring down at the floor. She couldn't begin to express how upset she was; nor did she have the guts to insist they go home; it wasn't in her character! She floundered there for a moment longer.

"Yaya, did I forget to tell you? My mom bought me the cutest tea party set." A tinkering, soft voice broke Amu's train of thought, and she looked up eagerly to find Rima's golden-honey yellow eyes staring back at her. They stared at one another for a moment longer before Rima turned away to look at Yaya. "Yes, I had to beg for it, but mom gave in and bought me one. I could go home and pick it up, and we can go over to your house to play, maybe?"

Yaya's eyes glimmered suddenly in excitement before she pouted. "Aw, but little-brother Tsubasa is there, and he's always messing things up!"

Nadeshiko leaned over to get a clear view of Yaya, and smiled warmly before saying, "ahh? Maybe we can invite Nagi over to play with him? I won't be able to tag along, I'm afraid. I have dance practice!"

Rima's eyes flashed and she stared at Nadeshiko with narrowed eyes before sighing. "Yes, let's invite Nagi over... Nadeshiko, be safe on the way home. Come, Yaya!"

Amu couldn't help but noticed the way both Nadeshiko and Rima very conspicuously guided Yaya over to the front door. She smiled softly, her body moving forward without consent, to hug the three of them at once at the same moment Rima opened the door.

BAM!

"Itai-itai!" Amu whined, rubbing her forehead after having bumped it against the door. She smiled nevertheless, maneuvering around the door to successfully hug them. "I'm so happy you guys came! I had fun! I'm sorry about what's happening, but maybe we can plan one another day?"

Yaya cheered and hopped down the porch steps. "Yes! And this time, don't invite boys!" The girl stuck her tongue out and wrinkled her nose.

Rima and Nadeshiko both looked back with soft smiles, following the bouncy Yaya. "We hope things go well on your side too!"

"Ja mata ne!"

The three chorused after her. "Sayonara!"

Amu shut the front door and sighed, bowing her head. She didn't hear any noises coming from upstairs, and it made her curious. After all the scrambling and noises from the both of them, she wondered what had happened to silence them. Blinking, she pressed a hand to her mouth; automatically assuming the worst. Ikuto was a Faerie, yes? She'd read that they had... Cruel tendencies. And with Tadase crawling and scratching at Ikuto, she wondered what he'd do to stop the attack.

With that thought, she ran up the stairs; practically slamming the door open. What she saw, she could not believe. "What the hell is going on?"

Amu couldn't help the rage that she felt. There her boyfriend was; stripped nude, his clothes scattered about the floor in what she assumed to have been ripped to shreds. Ikuto wasn't far behind in that sense- it seemed as if Tadase had managed to rip off half of Ikuto's beautiful tunic. Where he had a long sleeved tunic on, he now was showing half a bare chest, the rest of his upper torso in tatters, and a rip up the side of his leg. How that we even possible, she'd no idea. Nor did she plan to think on it. The two of them were on the floor, in a giant mass of man. The air was thick with arousal, and the longer she stood there, the longer she felt as if she were interrupting something intimate.

"What do you think is going on?!" Ikuto snapped at her. It was obvious that he was thoroughly annoyed. His arms were wrapped around Tadase, as if attempting to keep the feral man still. He cursed and muttered under his breath, his voice thick and husky. "Why are they always stronger than me? Damn it, this always happens..."

"It's your fault you touched him! Why would you do something so reckless?!" She scolded, walking over the both of them. "Here, let me pull him away."

"Don't! Let me handle it."

"What?! Excuse me, but you've been handling it for around 40 minutes, now." Amu's eye twitched, and she moved to grasp Tadase's shoulders.

"Will you please?!" Ikuto yanked Tadase closer to his body, frowning a bit, "this is not the time to argue with me. If you pull him away, he's only going to fight you."

Amu scoffed and stood straight, folding her arms. "He wouldn't fight me. He's my boyfriend, after all."

The indigo haired male's eyes flared in spite when she'd said 'boyfriend', and he shook his head. "Have you researched nothing? They will fight to the death! It's happened before, no doubt it'll happen again! Do not get in his way. Besides, what if you accidentally touch me? Don't be idiotic."

Sighing, she walked over and picked up Tadase's clothes, figuring out that they were, in fact, torn to shreds. Looking over toward Ikuto, she frowned and shook her head. "Is there a way to... stop it?"

"Stop it?" Ikuto's tone sounded borderline incredulous. Tadase was nipping and kissing at his neck, and Ikuto's hands were blocking his own groin to hold off the blonde. "Amu, if this were something that could be stopped... I wouldn't have killed thousands or more people."

The pinkette couldn't help the pang of fear that hit her. She'd never feared Ikuto before, but at that moment, she'd realized that Tadase was a lost cause. That there was no known way to hold him off. She turned and sat down on her bed, trying to ignore the fact that Ikuto was slowly being more and more bare-bodied than when she'd came in.

"What do we do, then...?" She murmured; more to herself, than him. Though he replied to her nonetheless.

"My sister... She usually freezes them." The way Ikuto said it made it cold and indifferent. "He wouldn't die... At least, not really."

She frowned and looked towards him, her eyes widening a fraction when she'd noticed that Ikuto had shifted, and manages to bring Tadase to his back; allowing him to sit on his stomach. She blushed and immediately looked away. If she ever considered sex with Tadase, this was not the way she wanted to first see him naked.

"You don't like him... Do you? Ikuto, you don't like Tadase?"

"What? Of course not? He's annoyingly self-righteous."

Amu cracked a small smile before frowning once more. "Is that why you touched him?"

With ease, Ikuto ignored her question. "What do you want to do, huh? What can you do? If he died, would you mourn him? Would you cry over him? Would you kill yourself? Woman, can you not understand the situatio-"

"This situation is your fault! Yours! If you hadn't been so... So jealous! This wouldn't have happened!" The words flew out of her mouth before she could stop them, and she regretted them instantly.

"Jealous? Why would I-tchh," Tadase grasped one of Ikuto's legs and managed to force them apart. They shuffled for a moment longer before Ikuto sat on his hand as well. He looked towards her, and spoke hoarsely, "I'm not jealous. Even if this Kiddy King wasn't in the way, I still couldn't not have you. You aren't mine, and there's no way you ever could be. I shouldn't even love you."

The pang that hit her chest was merciless. Her heart dropped, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around her abdomen as if to hold herself together. Her voice was small when she spoke, and she kept her eyes glued to the floor. "That's not what you told me that day... At the coffee shop... Y-You said..."

"That'd I'd find a way? That I'd ruin it all for you? Amu. Look at Tadase. What if this were you? What if I tried a relationship with you, and this accidentally happened? Sure, these are all 'what if's', and sure I can't be certain. But do I want to take the risk of losing you forever? No."

As Ikuto said, she stared at Tadase. Eyed him and bit her lip with a resurfacing rage. Rage, sadness and fear. She stood then, her hands bunched into fists, and her eyes shimmering with tears. "Why... Why can't you be normal? Why can't you be human...? I hate you this way!"

There was a pause. And then there was silence.

Ikuto had been staring at the floor at the time, and even in her rage, she'd noticed the slow-coming change in him. His posture grew stiff, and his pallor had paled. He lifted his gaze unto her and she instantly noticed his darkened eyes, distant eyes. Slowly, he stood and as if gaining super strength during her rage fit, he picked Tadase from the floor, and hoisted him over his shoulder.

The sight immediately calmed the pinkette, and her mouth dried up; unable to think of a proper apology. The air was thick and tense. She realized tension and arousal did not make a good mix as her head spun due to it.

"Iku-"

Ikuto walked towards the glass door, and paused. "I'll take him to the counsel. I don't know what they'll say about it, but I'll try hard to see if there's something they can do. Don't get hopeful. The counsel isn't known for showing mercy. But what with the respect they have for my parents, I'm going to try to see what I can do."

"A-Alright... Iku-"

He turned his head, his hand reaching and clasping the handle door, looking much like a dark symbol of lust itself. He smiled thinly, and the sight hurt her more than it should. As if he knew what she was feeling, and tried to make her feel better. "I'll come back just like last time."

And then he was gone. He left.

Amu couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes right then.
