Lee was facetime with Moon to show her different outfits. "I like the black leather skirt and the lace bralet with red heels."
"You don't think it's too much black?" She put the other options away.
"No, it makes the red shoes and accessories pop." Moon was happy that they were able to maintain a friendship, but she was worried about her other half. "So, did you tell Cobra Kai that Miyagi dojo is coming?"
"No, I don't want them to go to the party in fight mode." She sat down to curl the bottom half of her hair. "Did you tell Sam that we're coming?"
"No, she wouldn't come if she knew. I think since our break up she doesn't think it's an option." She held up an orange dress.
"Oh, I love that. You have got to be the cutest hippie around." She hummed in approval. "So, have you been keeping us staying friends a secret so you could have this opportunity?"
"Maybe, but if I didn't then you wouldn't have this chance to talk to Demetri." Since the mall incident, he had been ignoring her calls and texts. He had his mom turn her away when she showed up at his house.
"I know he's upset that I'm still with Hawk but to completely freeze me out is too much. He could at least hear me out." She huffs.
"We'll get you that chance tonight," Moon assured her.
"You're right. I'll pack my outfit and be over to help you set up." She grabs her purple puma duffle bag to put everything in.
They were rolling vegan weenies into the dough. "So, is Piper coming tonight?" Lee asked about Moon's new love interest.
"Yes, I'm nervous. Even though what we had was wonderful, it had no label. If anyone asked, I would say I'm experimenting. This is different, this is my girlfriend." She put silicone wrap over a tray and put it in the fridge for later.
"Does she expect it to happen tonight? Is she okay if you back out?" She put a pan in the oven.
"She says she would be, but you know it's not okay. No one wants to be hidden." She felt bad that the thought of backing out was in her head.
"Remember everyone at this party is your friend and they want you to be happy." She wants this night to be successful in every way.
"Yeah, you're right. Let's get ready." She led her into her bedroom.
Moon put on a long-sleeve brown-orange boho dress. The dress was open in the front, so her blue lace bra was peaking out. Lee styled her hair in curly waves. She put on a star headband. She accessories with a gold necklace, beaded bracelets, a jade ring with matching jade earrings. She did her makeup in natural colors.
Lee had on a black leather high-waisted irregular skirt, black lace bustier crop top, and red ankle-strap pumps. She straps on a red and black Alice in Wonderland choker and a gold Cobra ear cuff. Moon painted Lee's lips red, eyes smokey, and highlighted her cheekbones with a pinkish brown blush.
The doorbell rang. "Well, if anything else we look amazing tonight." Moon grabs her hand to swing them together as they head towards the door to greet their first guests.
They open the door. "We brought the booze." Hawk cheered.
"Thank you." She pecked his lips. "You can bring the kegs in the back and take the rest into the kitchen." Lee guided Hawk, Big Red, and Mitch, who were carrying the kegs into the yard. Moon took Bert, Aisha, and Edwin, who were carrying the cases of beer and bottles of hard liquor into the kitchen.
After getting the kegs set up, she continues to make them work. Mitch was set up the beer bong table. Big Red was setting up a cooler, to put some beer into it. "I thought you came early to help set up." Hawk was setting up the speakers.
"I did. I help make the salsa, vegan weenies, and spiked punch. I did the decorations and hide the valuables." She knew he was going to grill her since he was reluctant about her being alone with Moon.
"Anything else?" He leans against the speaker.
"No, that's it." She tried not to get offended and be understanding about his insecurity. Because she wouldn't be fully secure if he was hanging out with someone he use to hook up with.
He nods his head. "You look good." He ran his hands along her side to squeeze her ass.
"So do you." She put her hands on the back of his neck to pull him down into a kiss. "I'm happy you're wearing red and black like I asked." He was wearing a red camo hoodie and black jeans.
"I got to match the mohawk." He shrugged.
"We all do." She carefully ran her hand along the spikes.
Moon and Lee were walking into the living room from the kitchen. They step into an intense stare-down between Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai. The girls were aware of the tense but decided to ignore it. "Sam, I'm so glad you came." They walk over to Miyagi Do. "The kegs are out back, drinks are in the kitchen, and the vegan pigs in a blanket just got out of the oven."
"Moon, you never said anything about inviting Cobra Kai." She glanced at Lee before looking at Moon.
"Well, Lee and I were thinking with summer ending and school starting back up we could stop all the fighting and be friends again." Moon pats Lee's back.
"Lee wants that?" Demetri points at her.
"Of course, I don't need to worry about a fight breaking out in the halls every day." She sips from a Kawaii cat paw cup.
"Of course, it's about you. I guess we all have to let go of the horrible things that happened to us to not inconvenience Presley." He scoffs.
Lee bites the inside of her cheeks as Moon nudges her. "In the name of making amend, let's talk." She grabbed his arm to pull him into an empty guest room. "I understand your anger."
Demetri cut her off. "No, you don't. He hunted me down with his quiver like I was a wounded animal."
"Quiver?" She asks.
"It's the name for a group of Cobra." He shouted like she should know that. "That's beside the point. When I got off the phone with you, you were angry, saying you were going to set him straight. You couldn't even stay angry at him for 24 hours. That's how little I mean to you. Do you know how much it hurt when I woke up the next morning to see you feeding him pizza on Instagram?"
"I never said I was going to break up with him. We had a long talk and he hasn't bothered you since." She crosses her arms.
"Yeah, because he pretends that I don't exist. I just want Eli and you back." He hated being vulnerable but he hadn't felt like he truly belong anywhere since Cobra Kai came around.
"Then you guys need to talk about it and make some type of compromise." She hated feeling like she was stuck between them.
"He needs to get rid of Cobra Kai. It's not just him, because doing nothing is an action in itself." He scoffs.
"You don't take the blame for anything. Why am I surprised, you never do? You are contently talking down to people. How many times did he get beat up because you were talking too big for your britches?" She tilts her head, not believing he was placing blame on everyone but himself.
"So people should get hit for words now." He tilts his head.
"They should. When they talk aggressive they should expect to get their ass kicked." She was trying to keep her rage under control.
"I see Cobra Kai got to you too." He rolled his eyes.
"You know what Demetri. I worked hard to help build Cobra Kai up. You didn't think twice about trying to tear it down. You didn't let us take care of the problem, which we did because Kreese is gone." She didn't know why he was gone, but he was. She was going to let him think it was because of what he did to him. "I got Eli in neutral, so the ball is in your court." She walks out to sit on the arm of the couch Hawk was sitting on.
He yank her down, so she was on his lap. "You knew they'd be here." He whispers.
"We're going to be going back to school soon. So, everyone going to have to learn to be in a room together without causing a war." She wasn't expecting a miracle but she was hopeful for an uneventful night.
Lee was sitting on Hawk's lap watching Edwin break dancing. He moved to the side as the crowd chanted Nate, to encourage him to go next. He did a dance routine as the crowd mixed with the two dojos cheered for him.
Stingray walks over to them. "Hey guys, this is my girl, Fawn. Fawn, this is Hawk and Lee."
"Wait, this is your badass friend Hawk and his smoke show girlfriend, Lee." She gasps at seeing two teenagers. She was picturing a hot biker and a playboy model.
Hawk nods his head in a greeting. Lee picked up a decorative pillow to hide her body. "It's nice to meet you, Fawn. The kegs in the back." She nodded to the back door.
"Sweet, let's go, babe." He pulls his shell-shocked girlfriend into the backyard.
"She is never to be left alone with that guy," Hawk announced to all the Cobra Kai members around him. They nod in agreement that he wasn't to be trusted.
A girl that Lee recognized from her Instagram entered the room. She got up to walk over to her. With how excited she was to meet her, Hawk followed her. "Hi, are you Piper?"
"Yes, I am. I'm guessing you're Lee." She remembers Moon saying the only experience she had with a girl was a curvy Blonde she was still friends with.
"How do you guys know each other?" Hawk asks.
"She's…" Lee was going to introduce her.
"Piper." Moon ran over to pull her into a kiss. "Hey, babe."
"Hi." Piper beams.
Hawk felt like he was going to throw up at all his friends seeing this. "Hey Hawk." Moon was shocked to see him standing right there. She hadn't voiced it to Lee, but she was the most worried about how he would take it. "This is Piper, she's my…." She trailed off.
"You can say it…. Girlfriend." She encourages her.
"Sorry, it's new." Moon giggles.
"Yeah, that's…. Um, awesome." He felt like an idiot. "It was nice to meet you. I'm Hawk… very cool." He walks down the hall.
"I'm sure the words will come easily to you soon, Moon. I'm happy for both of you. We've got to plan a double date soon." She waves as she walks after Hawk. She found herself in the guest room again about to have another intense talk.
"Did you know about Piper too?" He asks once she shut the door.
"Yeah, are you not happy for Moon? You can't be relieved that she is out of our relationship and be upset that she found her own." She sat next to him on the bed.
"Why does it have to be with a girl? Do you know what everyone is going to say? That she turns lesbian because I wasn't enough of a man." He slammed his fist into the headboard.
"First, she's still identifying as bi. Even if she turns about to be a lesbian that has nothing to do with you and your manhood. People are born the sexuality they are, it has nothing to do with past partners." She thought he understood.
"I know that, but that's not how others are going to see it." He rubs his hand along the side of his face.
"Who cares about what people think? You'll always have me." She picked up his arm to wrap it around her.
"Yeah." He laid her down on the bed.
Hawk and Lee were sitting on the couch drinking, listening to the music when Demetri sat by them. It was silent for a while before he finally said something. "You check out the new Doctor Who trailer?"
"I don't watch nerd shit." He drank from a solo cup.
It took a beat before he went on. "You know, Moffat isn't the showrunner anymore."
"Wait, really? Since when?" He turns towards Demetri, completely hooked. "Is there a new Doctor?" He nods his head. "What's he like?"
"She's badass." Demetri smiled seeing Eli shine through.
"She's?" He let his eyebrows meet in the middle. "No way!"
Piper and Moon giggled, pulling his attention away. "It's not a big deal man, you still have a girlfriend." Demetri tried to cheer him up.
"I don't give a shit about her. I got her for Lee to use and it's done." He hated having to remind people what Moon's purpose was.
"Hawk." She hated when he talks about her friend like that.
"That nasty attitude push away one girl, don't let it push away another. You need a dose of inner peace, it's worked for me." Demetri smiled.
"Oh yeah?" Hawk smiled as he stood up to pour his beer on him.
"Hawk!" Lee jumps back to avoid the splash. "What the hell?"
"Fuck this guy, he wants to make like he's better than me when he's just a pussy." He throws his cup at him as he walks away.
"I'm sorry." She apologizes as she runs after her boyfriend.
"Not sorry enough to end it." Demetri scoffs.
Lee went over to the food table to see Robby making a face when he pop a vegan weenie into his mouth. She laughed. "Moon's Vegan. So if you don't like the soy tiring to pass off as meat then stick to the salsa and chips."
"I think Sam going to need more than that to sober her up." He sighes. "I don't know why she got into the drinking contest with Tory."
"Because she upset that Miguel moved on, especially with a girl she hates." She shrugs.
"For a girl who is happy in her relationship, you sure like trying to ruin mine. Maybe you're regretting that you didn't slide into my DMs when I offered." He smirks.
"No regrets here. It's like I said before. You're Sensei's son. I feel an obligation to look out for you like he has for me." She filled her cup with the spiked punch.
"I don't need you looking out for me." He glares.
"Excuse me." She turned to the stage when she heard Demetri's voice. "I'd like to make a toast to Eli Moskowitz." He put his cup in the air. Everyone was asking who that was.
"Fuck." Lee cursed as she pushed her way through the crowd to make it back to Hawk's side.
"Oh, I'm sorry, some of you might know him as Hawk." He drops his empty cup that use to be filled with alcohol to the side. It explained how he got the courage to do this. "But underneath that crazy clown cosplay and whatever type of Manic Panic he dumps in his hair, he still good old Eli. My binary brother. Well, he was my binary brother. Do you know what he is now? A real zero." He made a big zero with his hand.
"Alright, that's enough Demetri," Hawk yelled, repeating what Sensei said about time and place in his head.
"Don't let that angry red hairdo fool you. He's a big softie. We watched every Harry Potter movie together. And he bawled like a baby when Dobby died." He imitates him crying, getting a laugh from the crowd.
"Everyone cried during that scene," Lee yelled.
Hawk cover her mouth as she wasn't helping his case. "Alright, if he doesn't shut up, I'm gonna shut him up."
"Remember what Sensei said about showing Mercy." Mitch had to agree that it was the hardest lesson so far.
"In the words of El's hero, Steve Jobs, I've got one more thing. Have any of you heard of sleep enuresis?" He asked the crowd.
"Okay, I've had it." Lee ran over to grab the microphone from Demetri. In the struggle to try and get it back from her, he accidentally shoves her to the ground when he yanks on the microphone too hard.
"Screw Mercy." Hawk shoves his cup into Mitch's chest. "You're a corpse."
Chris got in front of him. "You're going to have to go through me first."
"Stay out of it, traitor." Mitch went to back up Hawk.
"Hey, don't touch him." Robby ran over.
"Why not? Is Hawk supposed to stand by when some guy throws his girlfriend to the ground?" Aisha glares.
"He didn't throw her." Chris scoffs.
"She didn't get on the ground by herself." Bert points at his crush who was having difficulty getting off the ground.
"Don't touch me." Lee shoved Demetri's hand off her when he tried to help her up. Moon and Piper went over to help her because it was a struggle in heels and a short skirt.
"We're friends, remember, no fighting," Moon spoke into the microphone.
"No fighting in Moon's house," Lee yelled.
"No fighting at all." Piper corrects.
The two groups weren't moving from their fighting stance. The cops siren blared as the light shined in through the window. "You got lucky Demetri, I'll see you in school." Hawk tried to push through to get pushed back by Chris and Robby. In the rush to get away Demetri almost pushed Lee down again.
"Fucking pussy." She yelled at his back as she grab the stereo to keep from falling.
"Come on. Get on my back, we gotta get out of here." Hawk move around Miyagi Do to get to her.
She did as she was told as he carried her to his car. Hawk got into the driver's seat since she was moaning about her sore ankle. He peeled out of there. "I'm sorry." She whimpers.
"What? Are you okay? Do you have to go to the hospital? I don't care if we get in trouble for drinking, we'll go." He glance down at her feet but he wasn't able to see anything in the dark.
"No, I encourage you to show mercy and now half the school is going to be googling what sleep enuresis is. You're right, you can't show mercy to people because then they take advantage of you." She cried for the bullying that would be coming his way.
"It's not a big deal. I'll have to beat up the first couple of people that comment." He lied to make her stop crying. He wasn't going to beat the people making comments, he was going to beat the shit out of Demetri for saying anything in the first place.
