Lee was at the hospital with Carmen Diaz. "And this is from your pale friend, Demetri, is it? He said the plastic isn't UV resistant so don't leave it near the window." She held up a comic that he brought.

"Okay." He whispers.

"And that basket is from the LaRusso's." She pointed to a big basket filled with goodies. Miguel groans as he tries to turn his head to look at it. "No, don't. What is it, Miggy? What do you need?" She put a hand on his arm.

He took a few breaths before asking. "Where's Sensei?" Carmen and Lee shared a look since his mother told the man he wasn't welcome. "Lee?"

"Since he lost Cobra Kai to Kreese I haven't heard from him. But, you know him, he doesn't know how to express his feelings so he drinks himself silly. I'm sure he'll come around soon." She smiled.

Before Miguel could ask any more questions, the doctor came in. "Hey, here for your check-up." He took off the headgear, much to his relief. "You're progressing nicely. How do you feel?" He grabs his upper arm and his wrist to bend it.

"Yeah." His voice was weak from not speaking that often.

"Yeah?" The doctor along with his friend and mother was concerned that he didn't answer the question correctly. "What about this?" He moves his fingers around.

"Normal." He nods.

"Great." The doctor smiles. He went on to look at Miguel's legs.

"Yaya's so excited. She's at home cooking up a storm. Tupperwares full of dulce de leche." She feeds him some food.

"That's great, mom." He was glad to see her smiling.

"How about this?" The doctor rotates his ankle.

"No." He shook his head.

"How about this?" He pokes his feet with a pen.

"No." He answers.

"That's okay." He put the blanket over his legs.

"You said the scans were okay, right?" His mom asked.

"Yes, yes." He nods.

"Am I going to be able to do karate again?" It was Miguel's main concern.

"One day at a time. I'm going to talk to your mom for a second." He looks at Carmen.

"Lee." She hands the girl the Tupperware. She walks out with the doctor.

"Stop watching and start eating." She held up the spoon to her friend's face.

"Stop it, Lee." He moves his head away from the food. They watched as Carmen cried when the doctor told her something. Miguel looks down at his feet in horror.

"Hey!" She grabs Miguel's chin to make him look at her. "I don't care what that doctor says, you're going to walk, run, dance, and do karate again."

"Come on, Lee. I can't feel anything in my legs and feet." He cries.

"So what, you're the guy who won the All Valley when you only trained for a few months against guys who were doing it for years. You can win the hearts of everyone around you. You don't give up no matter the odds." She cried at his pain.

"And if I don't ever walk again?" He asked.

"Miguel, you can't talk like that." She shook her head.

"Presley!" He yelled.

She wipes her tears before answering. "Then you'll adjust. You'll still live a full life. I'll be here, no matter what." She grabs his hand.

She went into the elevator with takeout in her hand. She knew how much Miguel hated the hospital food. She tried to glue herself to the wall of the elevator when she saw the other guy in it. "Lee?"

She recognized that voice. "Sensei? What happened to your face?" She recognized the beaten-up guy who smelled like sweat and dirt. "Could you not have showered?"

"I was busy." He reasoned.

"Whatever, look Miguel is feeling defeated right now. So, I need you to go in there and give him a pep talk." She orders.

"How are you able to see him? I thought it was family and friends." He had to sneak in every time.

"I'm down as a cousin." She explains.

"How bad is it?" He asks.

"I'll let Miguel tell you." She steps out of the elevator with him. She got two sodas from the vending machine while Johnny went inside.

She was about to get a third for Johnny when she heard Miguel scream, Get out. Johnny came out with tears in his eyes as he muttered an apology to her as he passed. She went in with the food and drinks to see a crying Miguel. She put the bags and soda bottles down. She sat on the bed and let him cry as she rubbed his back.

"I listen to everything. He was feeding us false shit. All the shit that made him fucked up, he was passing it down to us." Miguel sobs.

"I know, I wish I could have figured it out soon." She took a deep breath. "I got you animal fries."

"Oh, well then my days looking up." He scoffs.

"Hey, I said sauce on the side so it is not going to be soggy." She pretended like he wasn't in the hospital with the possibility of never walking again.

Miguel looks at her for a second before sighing. "I'm sorry. You've been here the whole time. I shouldn't be mean to you."

"It's fine." She knew it had to be frustrating.

"No, it's not. I'm sorry." He took out a burger. "Let's have dinner." He passed her a burger before taking out his own.

"Miguel, you got a visitor." Lee stood in the doorway of the hospital room.

"Lee, you come every day. I'd hardly call you a visitor, more like a roommate." Miguel laughed.

"How rude! But, I wasn't talking about me." She pulled Sam into his view, before pushing her into the room.

She waited outside to give them some privacy. Or the illusion of it as she eavesdropped until she saw Hawk. She met him in the middle of the hallway, so the couple could have a moment. "What are you doing here?" He glares at his ex.

"I'm here, every day. Where have you been?" She cocks her head.

"Only family has been able to see him until today." He scoffs at her lie.

"His mom put me down as his cousin. I've been helping him with his school work." She hated that she explained herself to him as a reflex.

"He's Cobra Kai, so I don't know what you're doing?" He throws her words back at her.

"Miguel is my exception." She shrugs.

He let out a bitter laugh. "You got back with Moon?"

"Why are you going to beat her up?" She mocks him.

"I decide you're not worth the effort." He smirks.

"Well, Sam is visiting so you can wait your turn." She moved on like his words didn't sting. "Hey!" She yelled when he pushed past her.

Sam came out of the room shortly after. "Your ex is a jerk."

"Trust me, no one knows that better than me… while maybe Demetri." She thought about it.

"I wanted to talk to you. Miguel was telling me that his family can't afford the operation he needs." Sam told her.

"I know, I made a go fund me." She nods.

"How about we take it a step further with a car wash. We can do it on my dad's lot." She suggested. Lee made a face. "What?"

"I don't want you to get offended but your dad doesn't have the best reputation right now. With how entangled his name is with this, it could look patronizing? People aren't going to want to be involved in that." She tried to be as gentle as possible.

"So what, you think it should be on your dad's lot?" She couldn't keep the defensiveness from coming out in her tone.

"My dad owns a car wash place. His name is not even on it, so it's not like you'll be betraying your dad. At least this way no one has an excuse not to come." She reasoned.

"Fine." Sam reluctantly agrees.

"Let's go to the cafe. We can brainstorm more ideas." They walk to the elevator together.

The car wash was packed with cars. They were lined up around the block. Plenty of horny teens came out for the cheerleader squad. Lee was washing a car with half the squad in an Akatsuki bikini. Her hair was up in a messy bun with a few strang hanging on her face. She huffed, it didn't matter how many times she tried she couldn't get them all.

"Hey Lee, the news is here to talk to us." Sam pulled her to the reporter.

"It's admirable that you guys are raising money for your friend's surgery." The news lady said.

"It's nothing that Miguel wouldn't do for us if the situation was reversed." Lee waves it off as being some great deed.

"How is it going?" She asked.

"We've already raised over a thousand dollars. All of Miyagi-Do and the cheer squad are here to help." Sam answers.

Lee had to hold her tongue when she had to mention her dojo. "Wasn't it a Miyagi-Do student that put Miguel in the hospital?" The news reporter asked.

"That was an accident. At least I hope so. All I know is that Miguel needs our help. We love you, Miguel." She smiled at the camera.

"We're not just stopping here. We're going to be holding an event here every Saturday. A calendar is posted on the Cole's dealership website. If you can't make it but want to donate, you can go to Miguel Diaz's go fund me. That link is on the website too." Lee wanted to get that information out before the news cut them off. "Help us get Miguel back on his feet. Cause it's going to happen, Miguel."

"Thank you, Lee and Sam. The car wash will be going on until 6. Come on down to show your support." The lady ended the interview.

"I'll pay you an extra 20 if you wash the windshield," Kyler yelled out the window of his Jeep Wrangler.

Lee reminds herself this was for Miguel. "I want a 20 from everyone in the car." The car had five guys in it.

"Seriously." He looks at her like she was stupid.

"It's worth it." Yasmine squeezes a soapy sponge over Lee's chest and rubs it in to make her breasts bubbly and wet.

Lee was going to yell that sponge has been on dirty cars when Kyler yelled. "Everyone giving me a fucking 20."

"You know math. I know perverts." Yasmine winks.

"Nathaniel," Lee called. He came to take the money. She thought about keeping her chest off the car but didn't need Kyler throwing a fit. She made sure to keep pushing her breasts up against the glass as she wiped down the windshield. If the hoots and howler were any indications she was doing a great job.

She got out of the car. "How much for you to twerk?" Kyler yelled.

"Give me a fifty and you can stand outside while I do your rims." She was ready to milk him for all his money.

"We're doing fan service now." Nate gasps as he takes the fifty.

Kyler was practically drooling as she bent over to wash the rim. Normally, she would squat for this but she agreed to a show. She let out a yip when a harsh smack landed on her ass. "Seriously." She turns around to glare at him.

"This is like a strip club, no touching the talent." Yasmine glares at her old friend.

"I paid fifty dollars. I want to see some jiggling." He smiles.

"Fine." She moves to the next tire and makes sure to wiggle as she cleans.

"Next car." She yelled when she was finally rid of Kyler.

"We got 350 out of that." Yasmine smiled proudly. She got a 20 for each side window and another hundred for the rear.

"Lost some dignity but I guess I can't complain." She sighed.

"Hey, psycho ex at 12." She nods to the three motorcycles blocking her entrance.

"Great." She walks over to him. "You're blocking my entrance."

"What the fuck are you doing?" She was surprised by Mitch yelling at her.

"Excuse you." She, along with Hawk glares at him.

"I mean, Miyagi-do is trying to make themselves the good guy. They don't care about Miguel, they are using him after hurting him." He used a calmer tone when he saw Hawk's stare.

"Let's get one thing straight, this is my event. They volunteered to help. I don't care about their motivations as long as I can get Miguel that money." She crosses her arms over her chest.

"What are you doing, pushing your tits against Kyler's window?" Hawk was pissed after watching his ex-girlfriend push her tits against the review mirror of his ex bully.

Yasmine came over since she was taking too long to tell off her ex. "She's getting money, and got 350 from him. Speaking of which, we got more people requesting your services." She pointed back at the car of basketball players. She pulled her towards the cars. "The driver is predicted to be in the NBA, so shake it well and you can upgrade." She throws an evil smirk over her shoulder at a raging Hawk.

"I see where a frenemy comes in handy." Lee smiles at her snickering friend.

"Getting back at someone is something I got a black belt in." She did a fake karate chop.

Lee walked out of the car wash office when she saw Hawk holding Nate while Chris got the money from his bag. Red was standing guard. "What are you guys doing?" She walks over.

"Making sure Miguel knows Cobra Kai helped him out." Chris waves the envelope in the air.

"I didn't see any snakes washing cars today." She rolled her eyes.

"You're a Cobra until Kreese says you aren't. He still believes in you." Hawk held Nate tightly making him gasp for air.

"Good for him." She rolled her eyes. "You can have the money, just hand over Nate."

"What's the catch?" Red asks.

"I already told you, all I care about is Miguel getting the money. Now hand Nate over." She watches the boy in concern. He looked like he was losing consciousness.

"We don't need your permission for anything. We're going to take the money and beat the crap out of the little traitor." Hawk giggled gleefully.

"Alright, we can play dirty. There are cameras there, there, there, and there." She pointed at all the security cameras. "So, do what you want but the consequences are real. You can join Robby in juvie."

Hawk throws Nate to the ground. After the bikes rode away, she helped him up. "I can't believe you let them get away with the money." Nate dusted himself off.

"It doesn't matter, Miguel will know where the money came from." She put a hand on his shoulder.

"How?" He asks.

"I go there every day. I told him where I was going to be. I didn't want him to worry about me. His mom texted me that he watched the news." She played the video that she sent of him.

"Hey, thanks, guys. I love you too and I got it, Lee. I'll be walking soon, that's a promise." He smiles from his hospital bed.

"Awe, it gets me every time." She smiled softly. "Come on, I'll drop you off at home. I have to get back to the hospital. I was invited to the prayer circle by Abuelita." She walks towards her car.

"Prayer circle?" He whispers as he gets into the car. He texted Demetri about what Cobra Kai tried to do. He got a text back to meet him at his house where most of Miyagi-do was. "Can you drop me off at Demetri's?"

"Sure." She took the route that she knew well.

After doing that she went to the hospital, she was surprised to find Sensei was there praying with the family. "Come, Lee." Abuelita waved for her to come. They were teaching each other their languages.

"Hey, sorry if I smell like car wax." She joined them in circling Miguel.

"This is weird." He looks at his loved ones holding hands, circling his bed.

After a few prayers, a nurse came in. "We're ready."

"Miguel, we'll be praying the whole time." His mom told him.

"Thanks… Lee, can I get a kiss?" He requested.

"What?" She gasps.

"A good luck kiss." He knew it was wrong, but he'd been gaining feelings for her. She was the only one who came every day outside of his mom and grandmother. They would do homework, watch tv, and talk for hours. She was able to make him feel like they were hanging out in his room, not a hospital. If he didn't make it through this surgery he needed to know what it felt like to kiss her full lips.

She didn't feel like she had the right to deny him. "Okay." She pushes her lips against his. He leans his head forward to make the kiss longer.

He pulled away and blush at everyone watching them. "We'll talk when I get back." The nurse wheeled him away.

"Come on, snake charmer." Johnny guided her towards the waiting room with the family.
