After a few more weeks of intense training, Miguel was walking on his own. Lee was videotaping him and Johnny throwing his wheelchair and crutches away. "Now, we have to do the hardest part of making our new dojo." Johnny led the path back to his apartment.

"What's that?" Lee asks.

"Making up a name." He opened the door to let the teens inside.

Johnny went to his laptop to stare at his message to Ali. Miguel opens the fridge and passes Lee a water bottle before taking one for himself. "What about Johnny Lawrence's Karate or Strike Hard Karate?"

"We can't do the latter, it sounds too much like Cobra Kai's motto." Lee shook her head.

"Well, then you come up with one." He closed the fridge.

"Um… Ninja Dojo." She opens the bottle.

"That is so generic." He laughed.

"Hey, Johnny, he's making fun of me." They turn to see him on the laptop.

They look at each other and sigh before taking a seat on either side of him. "Come on, Sensei, we're trying to think of names for the new dojo." Miguel hated seeing him look so pathetic.

"How long does it take for a Facebook message to be delivered?" When he saw their confused faces he went on. "I mean she lives in Colorado so it might be a while, right?"

"It's instantaneous," Miguel told him.

He slammed his laptop shut. "We don't know how often she checks her Facebook. Instead of staring at it, why don't we take your mind off it with the new dojo." Lee suggested.

"I was thinking of All American Karate." Miguel gave another name.

"Not good enough, we need something that tells everyone we're the most badass dojo in the valley." Johnny shook his head.

"Yeah, it sucks that Cobra Kai is such a badass name." Miguel sighes.

"It's gonna be hard to top that." Lee agrees.

"Well, maybe we can keep it. We change the C to a K and call ourselves triple K." He leaned back in his chair.

"Like the KKK?" Miguel tilts his head.

"Yeah, NO." She tried to think of a name.

"Alright whatever, we'll figure that out later. First, we need students." Johnny decided to move on because they didn't have any good ideas.

"Cobra Kai has kicked out a lot of students…" She was interrupted by Johnny.

"Alright, then they'll be running when they hear I'm opening up a new dojo." He smiled.

She cringes because she had to tell him the bad news. "It might not be that easy. They truly feel like you abandon them." Johnny felt guilty for letting them go through what he did with Kreese.

"I'm going back to school today, so I can do some recruiting… But where are we going to train?" Miguel asks.

"You let me worry about that." Johnny got up to walk them to Lee's car.

Miguel walks through the school doors to be greeted with music, applause and cheering. Kids pulled the push-pops to spray him with confetti. "Ta-da." Lee pointed at the Welcome Back banner.

"I thought we were going to make it a surprise." Miguel smiled at her proud face.

"It is a surprise, just for you." She pointed finger guns at him.

"Thanks… it's a little much." He looks at the balloons and the band playing.

"Too much? You beat the odds. Doctors thought you were never going to walk again." She scoffs at his humbleness.

As we walked through the hall everyone was coming up to welcome him back. "El Serpiente!" Hawk made his way through the crowd.

"What's up!" They did a bro handshake.

"Welcome back, man." He pulls away from the hug.

"Did they give you bionic legs or something?" He stared down at them.

"No, same old boring human legs." He laughed.

"Oh, yeah. Can you throw it down? Can you defend the title?" He put his hands up. They shadowbox a little. "Gotta get through me first. Dude, Cobra Kai is crushing it right now."

"I've been meaning to talk to you about that." He knew Hawk would be the hardest one to sell the new dojo to.

The bell rang. "I'll talk to you at lunch." Hawk nods before going up the stairs.

"So, that's what you mean when you say sometimes he makes you feel like you don't exist." Miguel turns to her. She nodded, the annoyance clear as a sunny day. "Well, I'm sure it's just because he doesn't know how to act now that you guys are exs."

"Whatever, Let's get to our lockers. You'll probably be excused for being late but not me." Lee led them around the corner.

Miguel's face dropped when he saw Demerti's arm in a cast. "Hey, the comeback kid. Welcome back." Demetri's face lit up when he saw him. "I hope to make a similar triumphant return to the land of the mobile appendage masses."

"What's up with the case?" He side-eyes Lee, wondering why she didn't say anything about it.

"Proximal radius fracture." He stated.

"It smells." Yasmine took a step to be by his side. Miguel was surprised that she was voluntarily talking to him.

"I put a lemon rind down there to mitigate it. The invitation for you to sign it still stands." He took a sharpie out of his pocket and held it out to her.

"Hard pass." She pushed the pen away. "At least when you used to be a thorn in my tits, you were getting me an A in science." Lee made a face at that phrasing. "Now, you can't do that because you're defective." She shot the cast a disgusted look before walking away.

"She's such a tsundere." Lee watches her walk away.

"Tell me about it." He sighs dreamily.

"So, how did you break your arm?" Miguel asks.

"You didn't tell him." He looked at Lee.

"He had a lot going on." She shrugged.

He sighed before turning to Miguel. "We have a lot to catch up on."

They shared a World Literature class. Demetri caught him up to speed. "I can't believe you didn't tell me." Miguel gave her a pointed glare.

"What would that have done for you?" She rolled her eyes.

"It would have motivated me more." He would have been more eager to come back if he knew things had gotten so bad.

"Miguel, you just got back on your feet. You can't jump back into fighting." She shook her head.

"What are you saying you don't want me to do karate?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Not off the mat I don't. Look what happens when karate gets taken off it. Someone gets seriously hurt." If there wasn't a referee then the fight went too far.

"I learned karate to defend myself." He pointed out.

"Have you learned nothing about having that kind of attitude?" She didn't want him to repeat the same mistakes.

Miguel got offended that she was throwing his injury back in his face like it was his fault. "Shut up with your martyr complex."

"Excuse me." She glares.

"Come on, guys." Demetri tried to put a stop to it.

"You could have walked away at any time but you stayed for all the drama. Even after you broke up with Hawk. You stayed by my side to stay in the circle." He let his anger take over.

"Fuck you, if you think I helped you to make myself feel like a good person." She got up to sit next to Moon.

Lee was standing in line with Demetri in the cafeteria. "I got it." He refused her help. He balanced the tray on his cast.

"So stubborn," She muttered under her breath.

He bumped into someone's back. They curse when they saw it was Kyler, wearing that damn Cobra Kai shirt. "Oh, you thought I would knock down your tray." He faked offense when he saw Demetri's scared expression. "Come on, I'm better than that." He picked it up to throw it in the trash. "What else do you need help with? Want me to sign your cast? Say no more." He pulled the pen that was sticking out of Demetri's pocket.

Lee pulled him from the back of his shirt and pushed him behind her. "Don't you have anything better to do than harass people?"

"Your Cobra Kai's pet, right? I have been meaning to make you purr." He pushed the hair out of her face.

"I was never anyone's pet. I left Cobra Kai a long time ago." She pushed his hand away.

"Oh, you think you can leave, huh?" He uses his left arm to wrap around her rib cage, pinning her arms to her side. He bit the cap off the pen to write on her collarbone. She was wearing a tank top that day, so he had a lot of skin to work with. "Property of Cobra Kai." He spun her around to pin her back to his chest. The cafeteria let out loud wolf whistles.

"Hey, look he got a dick in his hand." A new Cobra Kai student held up Demetri's cast that had a large dick draw on it. The crowd laughed at him. He pulled away to run out of the cafe. Lee uses that opportunity to pull out of Kyler's hold and follow him out the door.

She went into the bathroom to try and wash it off. It smeared but it was still legible. "Miguel waiting outside." Moon came in.

"Tell him fuck off. I'm sure he thinks I'm loving this with my complex." She sneers.

"He says he wants to apologize." When she didn't move from the sink she went on. "He says that he was letting his frustration make an ass out of himself."

"He did." She grabs the paper towel to dry herself off.

"Come on, Lee. He's your best friend." She hated seeing friendships ruined.

"Maybe, he's right, I should have washed my hands of this a long time ago, like you. You were smart, you got out when you saw the red flags." He was right, she could have walked away at any time but she didn't. She stayed because even though she never stepped foot on the mat, she didn't know who she was without Cobra Kai.

"I didn't mean that." Miguel, who was listening at the door, walked into the girl's room. "I wouldn't want a dojo that didn't have you in the office."

"I know that you won't go looking for a fight. I'm just scared." She threw the paper towel away.

"I wouldn't, but I have to do what I have to." He put his jacket on her. She huffs as she walks out of the bathroom with Moon.

Miguel and Lee were in silence as they took out their books. When they first found out their lockers were two away from each other they were excited, but at the moment they were hating it. They've come to an understanding and the feelings of anger turn to annoyance, but the awkwardness was sitting in the air. Johnny walks by Miguel to knock on his locker. "Sensei? How did you get past security?" He was shocked to see him.

"I went to school here. You don't think I know all the secret ways in?" He laughs at the thought of security keeping him out. "I got some pretty sweet news. I got us a new spot for our dojo." Miguel smiled when he heard that. "How's recruiting going?" He slammed his locker shut. Lee tried to walk away without a word but Johnny was able to grab her arm before she could. "What's going on?"

"We just argued," Miguel said, making her snort.

"If this is about recruiting going bad, then it doesn't matter. I am here to make my case about abandoning them. It was a shitty thing to do." He didn't need them fighting.

"It's not about that. Miguel is upset that I didn't tell him everything." She told him.

"You let me walk into it blind. It's mostly about you not wanting me to stand up for myself." He corrected.

"If it can stay on the mat then why do you have to take it off of it?" She crosses her arms.

"Because they're doing shit like this?" He unzipped the jacket she had on. Johnny's eyes harden at seeing Property of Cobra Kai written across her collar bone.

"Was that Hawk?" He clenches his fists.

"No, Kyler." She looks at the ground.

"Who?" He asks.

"The leader you beat up at the gas station. He and a bunch of no-good thugs are a part of Cobra Kai. I tried to talk to a few of the members that stayed but they all drank the Kool-aid." He got rejection after rejection today.

"What's wrong with Kool-Aid?" He followed the students as they walked down the hall.

"Sensei Kreese has turned them into an army of assholes. There's no way to convince them to leave." He gave him the bad news.

"Those who got kicked out don't want to be involved anymore. They want to fly under the radar." She zips up the jacket.

"Wait here." He told them when he spotted Hawk with other Cobra Kai members. They curse and follow him when they see where he is headed to stop him from hitting a kid. "Okay, listen up." He yelled, getting their attention. "I screwed up and I'm sorry. I made it about me and that's not what a Sensei does. I took the easy way out. I gave up." Lee thought this may do some good when she saw Bert and Mitch listening on the sidelines. "What happened here at this school rocked me to my core. I couldn't look myself in the eye let alone face all of you."

"Yeah, I guess it makes it easier to tell yourself that. But the truth is you bailed on us long before the fight happened." Hawk wasn't wrong. Johnny had stopped coming to the training sessions. "You got soft and we paid the price."

Johnny took a step forward to be in his face. "Now, listen here when you came to me, you were softer than a baby's ass. I made you what you are, not Kreese. He doesn't give a shit about you." He took a step back to talk to the group. "About any of you. If you wanna keep whining about the past like a bunch of pussies, fine. If you want to be the group that bullies defenseless girls, then fine, we can play that game. Wanna stick with Kreese then go ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you when your life ends up shitty. Or you can sack up and join my dojo. Hayvenhurst and Magnolia, tomorrow at 4. If you wanna save yourselves and train the right way. You better be there." He pushes past them. "Don't be late." He yelled over his shoulder, knocking books out of a small kid's hands. "Sorry kid, old habit." He curses before he continues.

Hawk walks over to Lee. "Are you okay?"

She let out a bitter laugh. "You want to talk about going soft. What happens to any guy who hurts you has to deal with me or does that only count when you know you can beat the guy up? Pussy." She spat before walking away.

"Read your chest, bitch because that's all you'll ever be." He yelled at her back.

Miguel tried to rush him but Mitch pulled him away. "Don't give them what they want." He led him away by force.

"A goddess would never belong to anyone." Bert scoffs before following the unnamed dojo.

It was four pm, the next day. They got a better turnout than Lee thought they would with Mitch, Bert, and a few other old Cobra Kai members. "This is day one. We've been here before but things are different now. They tried to tear us down. It didn't work. They said we need a roof and four walls. Screw that!" He paces in front of them. "This will be our new dojo. Cause we don't need a dojo to be a dojo. Is that understood?"

"Why didn't you say it was a park? I would have brought sunscreen." Lee was on the side holding an umbrella that she had in her car, over her head.

"Not talking to you." Johnny sneers.

"Yes, Sensei!" The boys yelled.

"I started Cobra Kai with one nerd." He points at Miguel. "This is a step up. If we're going to take this seriously, we need a name that commands respect. A name that elicits power and dominance. Cobras are strong. They may be the king of the jungle but the world is more than just a jungle."

"Who called Cobras the king of the jungle?" Lee asks.

"Not now…" He glares at her to let her know to not interrupt his speech. She put her free hand up in surrender. "And there is only one other animal that can kill a snake."

"A mongoose?" Bert guessed.

"Oh yes, let's be mongooses. They're so cute." Lee nods.

"A real animal, Bert." Johnny scoffs at the suggestion. The teens were wondering why they were letting this man teach them. He grabs a shirt from a box to show it to them. "Welcome to Eagle Fang Karate."

Lee looks at the shirt with an eagle with fangs that were dripping blood on it. "Eagles don't have fangs." Mitch beat her to it.

Lee adds, "Yeah, maybe it should be Eagle Talon Karate. We can get a picture of an eagle having a snake in its feet, squeezing it to death." Their comments were met with a shirt to the face.

"Put them on." Johnny throws a shirt at everyone. "We're in a shady spot, put the umbrella down." He rolled his eyes at her struggle to keep the umbrella up while trying to put on the shirt.

"Anyone else's feeling a little snug?" Mitch's shirt stopped after his belly button.

"If mine does that I will never forgive you." Lee glares at Johnny.

"Do some sit-ups." He nods to Mitch. He pulled Lee's shirt down to cover her completely. "Okay, fall in." They got into formation.

"Sensei, look." They turn around to see Hawk, Red, and Edwin.

"Alright, looks like class got a little bigger, make room." Johnny nods.

They knew something was up when Toni and Kyler came out. Kreese led the rest of Cobra Kai out. "Told you, Cobra Kai for life." Hawk held his head high.

Kreese pat Hawk's shoulder before stepping to Johnny. "Don't worry, I'm not here for a fight."

"Then, why the hell are you here?" He didn't believe him for a second.

"I'd like to make you an offer to come back to Cobra Kai where you belong." He didn't want Johnny as an enemy.

"You're crazy if you think I'd ever team up with you again. The garbage you're feeding them. The shit they're pulling. Breaking a kid's arm. Graffiti on a girl's chest. It's messed up." He looks past him to look at Hawk. "You're to blame for that." He glares at his old sensei.

"I have to disagree with you there. I care about my students. They're strong and true fighters. And they didn't make mistakes and showed mercy and ended up in a coma." Miguel steps up to have Hawk do the same. Kreese put his hand up to stop Hawk. When he fell back in line, he turned to Lee. "For the girl, well she needs to learn to not lead men on. She makes Hawk fall in love with her to break his heart. She shakes her stuff for Kyler." He listed.

"What?" Johnny looked at her.

"It was the car wash. It was for the money." Bert tried to defend her.

"Bert, shut up." Miguel hissed. Lee felt more humiliated by the second.

"And I hear she's stringing your sad excuse for a prize fighter along. Keeping her on a tighter leash." He nods to Miguel before looking at Johnny. "This is your last chance, Johnny."

"Good." He leaned in to hiss.

"You made your choice… and you're going to regret it." He led his students away.

Johnny turned to his students when they were out of sight. "Whoever goes against that Kyler punk in the All Valley better humiliate him." He was going to work their asses off.

"You're not a slut." Johnny pulled her aside after the lesson.

"No one said that." She glares.

"It was heavily implied." He sighs. "Look, I don't care what you did with that punk. He doesn't have the right to do anything against your consent. I mean when you go to the club, you can't touch strippers."

"I know that." Johnny never failed to have a horrible delivery, but Lee got the message. She wouldn't give them the power to lessen her self-worth.

"I won't let things get out of hand again." He pats her head. "For now, you stick to Miguel. Kreese knows you're a weak spot for us. He's not above using that against us."

"Miguel's mad at me." He even walked to the park instead of getting a ride from her.

"I'm annoyed, not mad." Miguel put his arm around her shoulders. "I'm not looking for a fight but it's frustrating to let them walk all over us."

"We'll get our time," Johnny promises.
