Robbie Shapiro shifted nervously as he waited for Cat. 'Not sure how this happened…..' he thought, eyes on Jade, the dangerous goth he'd known for years. 'I'm amazed she took this so well. God, I was so sure she'd rip my head off, and only start there is if was lucky. I mean, the news, I never expected….'
"Rob, you ready?" Tori asked. The Latina, however, had been one of the less accepting people when she'd found out. Only Cat's insistence that she was getting what she wanted, and his agreement to Trina's compromise, had kept her from doing truly horrific things to him. "Remember, I have the means of hunting you down if you try and run."
"Don't worry, never gonna run away from my responsibilities again." He promised.
"I've got this." Jade assured her one time frenimy. Jade had, to everyone's surprise, moved mountain to protect her friend. This friend.
'She protected Cat.' Rob reminded himself. 'Had to do something unexpected, offer Tori something she needed. Of course, Trina was the one to suggest just what, and I think she was as amazed as anyone when Jade acquiesced. Still, now that Tori and Jade are an item….' his smirk threatened his life, but he couldn't help himself. "My family said they're willing to help…"
"Like I trust any of them." Jade tossed out. "I've got this. I went and made something happen, using contacts Cat's roommate…"
"Sam from iCarly." Rob interjected.
"Dude!" Jade groaned. "I'm the one on your side. Just…"
"Yea, yea, yea, youngest producer in Dingo history." Tori tossed out like the accomplishment wasn't something amazing. "Okay, I like how much they're paying you to come up with disturbing shows for them, and you do earn your money. Just, collage, and I mean it. You finish school, and THEN shift to mainstream movies and the like, and I'll accept you're helping them out. But he's right, with this, it's the family, HIS family, that has to step up."
"Done?" The blue eyed girl asked, clearly not amused at being ordered around.
"No." Tori looked to challenge the taller girl, only to back down. "Okay, no reason to push things. Getting everything worked out, so I'm okay. Just, don't…" Her brown eyes scanned the taller girl. "Go check on Cat. I'm gonna see if we're ready?"
Jade didn't move, making her point that she wasn't anyone's slave, just contractually obligated to have an unexpectedly happy relationship with the singer. However, it downed on her, seconds later, that maybe someone else would comply.
Trina walked back to check on everyone. "How is she?" The older girl asked the second oldest.
"Nervous." Samantha Puckett replied. "Funny how THIS is making her nervous, but she's so sure about…"
"Yea, yea, yea, I have to check on the others." Trina waved the girl off. Only, she hesitated, for a moment. "Um, we still on for hitting the town later on? Mason wants to be sure I can do this job, and I don't wanna do it alone."
"You mean that whole music scout chiz is legit?" The blond wondered.
"Yea, getting good pay to hit clubs and write reviews for bands, which will help Mason decide if he wants to take a closer look or not. Apparently, if you have the right contacts, and the right ear for music…" Trina let it fade.
"Yea, you do have an ear, as long as it's not your music." Sam nodded. "Plus a surprisingly good understanding of image and that kind of chiz, so… Okay, lets get through this, and I'll come with. Gonna need me a distraction from this crazy."
Trina moved quickly to the larger hall they'd rented. Of all the places they could have done this, they'd wanted to do it at the Black Box Theater in Hollywood Arts. Only, it was nearly impossible to get time there, so instead they rented an event space, and worked at making it as special as possible. 'Should have hosted, but mom, not down with this, even if she gets a psychotic daughter in law in the process, cause that pairing, worked far better then I expected. I just thought it'd free up Beck, but it also got me a job, and a future, and god, what are we dealing with now...'
"They almost ready?" Andre asked, standing in the hall, nervously watching multiple families milling about, waiting. "Not easy keeping them entertained."
"Yea, they know the deal." Trina said, looking at her own parents, as well as the many others gathered. Each of the main people's family, from Andre's grandmother Charlotte, to Rob unnamed parents, to Cat's family, including her brother, on a special release from that place in Idaho, they'd gathered. Only Jade's family had declined, despite this day being special to even them. "So, thinking we need to get this done, before our bride explodes."
"Which one?" Dre joked, even as Beck finished setting up the buffet for later. Each of them had agreed to do a job to help make this happen, and Beck had drawn catering, aided by Sikowitz, who wanted to help. Andre had been left with the difficult task of registering on line, getting the right license, and officiating this wedding.
"OKAY, LET'S DO THIS!" Trina's voice ripped through the air.
"Really? Yelling?" Beck asked, clearly not amused.
However, moments later, Andre saw the Grooms coming, and got ready to play the bridal march on his keyboard. Robbie, flanked by Jade, stood ready. As the music played, Sam trailed behind a very pregnant Cat, while Tori walked along, looking ready to kill.
"Okay, everyone, we're here to join two couples together into two married couples." Andre started. "Robbie, Cat, do you two take one another?"
"Kinda abridged, don't you think?" Cat asked. "I thought this would be all flowery and full of heart felt vows like 'I got you preggers, so I figured…'"
"Cat, please." Jade begged quietly.
"Okay, for the record." The petite girl shifted, addressing the audience. "I wanted this child, my, um, my shift into adulthood. Yes, I only recently graduated from Holywood Arts, and sure, I didn't exactly have a plan. But I wanted this, and I asked Robbie to do it once the other, the not real pregnancy I thought I had from that cute guy, the who refused to call me, after it turned out to be… Not viable. Anyways, I never asked for this wedding. Just, I had to, once my friends started getting all judgey."
"We were just worried about how you were gonna live." Tori promised.
"I said I'd take care of it." Jade groaned.
"Like I trust Deaths illegitimate daughter to raise a child." Tori spat. "And your still are gonna marry me, and in time, when we're ready, have a family. By then, you won't be so, er, evil I guess? Yea, whatever, I just wanted to be sure the father would be involved."
"And we agreed." Cat told her, even as she rolled her eyes. "So, people, not the smarted choice, but it was mine. No one gets to blame Rob here. Plus, he manned up, which honestly surprised us all. Wanted to be involved in his kids life, whether I was with him or not. So no judging us for being so young. We're adults, legal, and can screw up our lives however we want. Now, as for this unholy union…" She glared at Tori. "Probably the best idea, even if it kills my dreams of Beck and Jade. So, I'm gonna marry Rob, make an honest bride out of him, even if I insisted on wearing the gown. Boy was willing to do whatever I wanted around this. Not hard when you have a psychopath threatening your manhood. And I mean, given how vulnerable my friend here is, Tori can just hold sex over her until she did something unpleasant to my man, and I may need him later, if I want more kiddios. So, we all caught up, cause I'm getting married, and I want the full fucking ceremony."
"Cat…"
"I work with kids, and they taught me how to swear, Jam it…" Cat shifted, getting married, along side her all but sister.

Jade glanced nervously at Tori, then across to where Beck was watching. "Okay, lets start over. Dre, we should have vows. I'm sure someone came up with something, anything better then a few less then enthusiastic yeps."
"I'm very enthusiastic." Robbie protested.
"About the only one." Cat droned. "And Rob, gonna live with you, no mater what. Figured, if your willing to invest in this kid, then I'm willing to risk the whole relationship thing, even if it risks so much more if things go south. But Jade's right, improve probably isn't the way to go with the vows. Amidst the rushed wedding, with the threats to certain peoples manhood's and the like, someone should have come up with some vows, cause damn, people are gonna be remembering this for a while, and…"
"I'll admit, not the wedding I'd dreamed about." Tori sighed, smiling across the gathering, and briefly at Beck, who gave her a thumbs up. "Okay, I'm the girl who once thought I'd marry a prince and live in a magical sugar castle. So, not that realistic, though I do admit, I got me some good princess material here. Just gotta do some work, help her see she doesn't have to be so damn reactionary. Jade, you have so much potential… You're so smart, and talented, and god, I do care about you. I went all the way to love in just a short time, and that was while we watch our friend get pregnant and balloon a touch..."
"Sensitive." Jade warned.
"No, I used that exact description during the rehearsal dinner." Cat said. "You should have been there. Only, we did kind of agree, it'd be easier if you weren't."
"And why is that, anyways?" Jade held her breath, aware they were being watched.
"Cause you're a bossy pants director type who works as a producer and show creator slash show runner at Dingo, cause you're that good, and we were sure you'd want to change every thing about our dinner, and this wedding. See, this, the wedding, it's about the brides, so suck it up and get married." Cat explained.
"Um, can I say something?" Robbie asked, looking to address his bride, as well as the audience. "Okay, this is kinda off the top of my head, but here it is. Cat, our romance started in a dark place, cause I was so desperate for love, I got infatuated with anyone who'd kiss me. First Trina, then you. I'd let myself believe what I felt was love, when it was just me hoping you'd fill that hole in my heart. Only, funny thing, along the way, as we did date, and I got you, er, yea, as we started a family, I let myself drop the pretense. See, I realized, love, it's not about someone filling the hole in your heart, regardless of what those romance movies I sometimes make you watch say. Love is being willing to fill your own holes, er, in your heart, so you can be whole for the one you love. That's what you inspired me to do. To man up. Face my fears, face Rex, so I would be the best father for our child, and the best husband for you. So whatever may come, we can face it secure in my love for you, my willingness to face whatever, and the fact that I'm strong enough now to be who you need me to, until we're a powerful couple protecting our brood from the world." He flashed a smile, exhaling a moment. Then, with a quick inhale, he added "So Catarina Valentine, I'm so happy you've agreed to the pressure from your friends, and will become my bride. I promise to be the best husband, that understanding father you know our child will need, and to work hard to help provide for us as we move forward into our lives."
"You're going to collage." Cat said. "What? That speech was nice and all… not getting preggers tonight, cause there might be one coming the other way, and that feels kinda rude, right? No, loved the speech, but Rob is going to collage, getting his education, doing his comedy, all that chiz, and I'm gonna have me a life doing whatever I choose, along the way, cause my bestest friend in the world, this one right here, she's gonna help us both. Have a plan, worked it out, and so, things are good for now. Just, yea, I suppose what I meant to say was, Rob… You go to school, and I'll do the whole wife thing."
"I think there should be an I do in here someplace." Trina said from her spot behind Tori.
"That my cue?" Andre wondered.
"No." Tori sighed, again. "Jade, I'm about to admit something as stupid as the whole sugar castle contract thing. See…" She shifted slightly. "Wasn't sure how, but I've known this day was coming since that date Sikowitz made us go on. Honestly, I'd suspected for a while before, cause every time we were forced to play a couple, it worked. We may not have had the passion yet, nor the caring, but it worked. You and me, I've known for years we were end game, and when the moment came, right now, I was so ready. So sure, been a bit of a grunch about things, cause Cat seemed to… Anyways, I was as taken by her condition as anyone. But you manned up, Rob manned up, Beck thanked me for making you feel secure in yourself, so this, it's happening, and I'm more sure then ever this is the right decision. Just, not happy it's basically with a shotgun in your back…."
"THAT's what I forgot." Jade noted, louder then she'd intended. Looking to the gathering "Sorry, I always wanted some kind of threat for when I got married. Having her dad threatening me with his gun, that would have been prefect… Officer Vega, did you bring…? No? Okay, she's still holding my heart, as well as the well being of my friends, so I guess I can say I was coerced, even if I did, in the end, agree to this… Um, I do?"
"You know what?" Andre said. "We've heard from the couples, and I think, yea, the risks of improve. So, everyone who has a ring, it's time, lets get ringing… Yea."
Sam handed Cat and Tori their rings, while Trina moved about to hand Jade and Robbie theirs. A wild bit of fumbling followed, and the brides and grooms managed to exchange rings. "I now pronounce you husbands, er, husband and wives…" Andre struggled.
"Your married, so get kissing." Trina tossed out. "And someone get ready for this kid, cause I don't know how long we got BEFORE Cat pops."
"Relax, the contractions are still over five minutes apart." Cat said. "Thinking we have time for the reception before we need to go do this whole birthing thing." She smiled at the crowd. "Lets move those chairs and get to celebrating. I just got married!"
