Tori walked into her home, sweat covering her body, as she haltingly walked towards the couch. Once she got there, she pretty much fell into a sitting position. Heaving a sigh, she relaxed into the couch, allowing herself the precious moments of rest.

"Tori, you know I like to give you your freedom," Her father said, "But that doesn't mean you can't come to me when somethings wrong."

Tori opened her eye, mentally debating her answer. "I'm fine." She said. "Everything's fine. It's just..." Tori let it go, not wanting to continue.

"Is it Jade?" Trina asked, appearing from down the hall. "Was it something she did? Tell me, I have to know, did she abandon you in the desert again?"

"She never abandoned me in the desert." Tori said, defending the goth. "I just believed she was going to do me harm, and decided to walk to school from there."

"And you're still dating her?" David asked. The police man was curious about what she saw in the gothic beauty. Jade could be so cruel, and yet Tori had managed to be with her almost five months.

"That was before we started dating." Tori said, but realized it didn't help her case. "Jade didn't want to hurt me, just freak me out. It's why she took the long rout. But no, it's not Jade. Just, well, it is, but it isn't."

"What did she do?" David asked, insisting on knowing if he should over react or not.

"It's nothing." Tori said. "It's just, sometimes, it can be exhausting dating Jade West."

"Then why do you put up with it?" Trina asked.

"Because sometimes its not." Tori explained.

"How does she exhaust you?" David asked cautiously. Part of him was worried that it would be information he didn't want to know. But to help his daughter, he was willing to hear stuff few parents want to talk to their children about.

"Jade's so demanding." Tori started. "She's flat out bossy. Tells people what to do, where to go. She can be mean, and scary, and I thought it was going to be easy dating her."

"How is any of that easy?" Trina asked. Her father had his mouth open, ready to speak, but closed it. Trina had asked his question anyways.

"Cause Jade was supposed to do so much of the work." Tori said, throwing her hands up. "She was supposed to plan the dates, and choose where we went to eat. She was supposed to make the first move, and respect me enough to let me choose when we took things to the next level. I was supposed to be there, touching her to calm her down when she was ready to explode..."

"You must be touching her all the time then." Trina said. Looking at her father, she added "Not that they're doing that kind of touching. It's just, Jade tends to be mad a lot."

"I wish." Tori said. "Jade likes the girly part of the relationship. She wants me to take her out to eat, even though she's the one with a drivers license. She will object to anywhere I want to go, but still wants me to be the one to make the decision. It's like I have to be the guy, and put up with her bossiness."

"I could see how that might be tiring." David said, but deep down he was afraid he knew what was tiring his youngest out.

"Yea, it's tiring." Tori said, suddenly quieting down.

"So there's more?" He asked his daughter.

"Noting I want to talk about. Maybe you could go read, and Trina could give me advice." Tori suggested.

Trina was dating Beck. It was a side effect of Tori and Jade. Beck was Jade's closest friend, and had hung out a lot to make sure Tori wasn't being set up for anything. Trina took a lot of advice, backing off a bit. It was only a matter of time before the two wound up dating. Still, that didn't give her any insight into this particular problem.

David decided he needed to open the conversation if he was going to get his child to admit what was bothering her. "Almost five months, huh?" He said. "I'll assume the real problem happened when you got closer."

"W-what do you mean?" Tori asked. Immediately both daughters acted like they'd never heard of sex. The odds were they were doing something.

"You and Jade, five months, things had to have heated up at some point." David took the risk. "And you're there, in the male role. Jade might have hinted, put a lot of pressure on you. I'm just saying she's probably not the type to rush things, but she wants to feel desired."

"Maybe..." Tori said, still thinking this was a trap.

"Dad, your not suggesting Tori and Jade have..." Trina wasn't going to say it either.

"You don't have to tell me." David said. "I know this isn't the kind of conversation you have with your father. But if this is about sex, then maybe I can help. Just tell me what bothering you. What can't you tell me?"

"It doesn't have anything to do with sex." Trina said. "That is, I'm fairly sure it doesn't."

"Actually..." Tori said, looking down. "I'm not equipped to be the man. I mean, seducing her, not as hard as I thought. Just wait for a time when her self esteem took a hit, and try to help her feel better. But I'm not a dude. I can't..." Tori ran out of words, trying to describe what she was dealing with.

Gulping, David dove back in. "Tori, I know this is hard for you, but from what you've been saying, Jade's put all the pressure of moving this relationship forward on you. She hints, then judges. She expects you to do the in between stuff."

"You mean nail her." Trina added.

"Yea." David said. "Maybe you should talk to her. It's obvious this is straining you. I mean, look at you, covered in sweat. What could she have put you through to cause this?"

"I saw a movie where the guy nailed the girl against a wall." Tori admitted. "It was the kind of thing I think Beck and Jade used to do. I decided to be ready, if an opportunity came up, to do that with her. It was just so much work. Things just weren't angled the right way, and I had to keep her up, above my hips, for everything to work out. Then there's the weight..."

"First, don't do that sex in public thing." The father started. "And if you do want to do something like that, like in a shower, then plan something to hold part of the weight. I know a guy who always makes sure there's a ledge or something at about the right height, and leans the girl on that. Then, research the toys you're going to use. And make sure... Were you wearing a strap-on on your dates?"

"I've been wearing that thing for three days." Tori admitted.

"How long have you two been intimate?" David demanded, but not angry.

"Why?" Tori asked. Trina was listening in, but didn't say a word. This was too freaky.

"You're trying to keep the excitement going, and you've only been together for five months." The police officer said. "That's not healthy."

"We slept together as part of the hundred day kiss." Tori explained. "Learned the hard way how hard it is to screw in a jacuzzi."

The father sighed, trying to center himself. "Tori, it doesn't always have to be this big production. Talk to Jade, figure out what she needs, and what she can do for the relationship. I'm not just talking about the sex. Make it more of a partnership. But mostly, talk to her about the sex. Maybe you'll get lucky, and she's into the emotions. You can dispense with the theatrics and let the sex be a part of your love."

"How much did that hurt to say?" Trina asked.

"Hurt?" He asked. "Not hurt so much as make me extremely uncomfortable. But my daughter needs to know she doesn't have to plan things out all the time. Spontaneity is a part of romance. And once you have kids, spontaneous sex is so hard to have. Makes you appreciate it."

Tori smiled at her father. "Thanks for being here for me." Tori said. "Wanna hear something weird? Jade asked me out first. I've been killing myself to be the man in this relationship, but she asked me out first. I just wish she was comfortable with me being the girl sometimes."

"Or maybe you two should talk and agree that you both can be the girls." David said. "And no, that doesn't mean you're both waiting for the other person to decide where you're going, or planning on capitulating with whatever the other person says. You've noticed Jade doesn't. Talk to her, let her know how hard this is for you. Ask her for a compromise."

"Jade's not the compromise type." Tori said.

"Except she already did." David replied. "She asked you out. And I think, maybe, someone as controlling as you say she is, would like to have a more active role in the relationship."

"Actually," Trina said, "Beck says Jade knows she goes overboard, and wants someone who can real her in. Jade wants to be controlled."

Davids whole body heaved as he sighed again. "No, she says she wants to be controlled. What she wants is to be safe. She wants to know Tori will be there for her when her own insecurities rage in her head. Tori just needs to let her know she won't try it the way Beck did. They can work their differences out. Tori can hold on, keep Jade safe, and avoid making a fool of herself. And Jade can... what does she bring to this relationship?"

"Jade's powerful." Tori said, smiling. "Jade doesn't realizes the power she has. I mean, she's so used to pushing for what she wants, she tends to forget that she doesn't need to use fear, or intimidation, to get what she needs. I'll help her see how powerful she really is."

"Oh my chiz!" David whispered, his face going pail. "It's only been five months. You can't be this far gone."

"Tori and Jade were years in the making." Trina assured her father. "They only realized it five months ago.

David had settled in for a much longer intervention, aware now that he'd have a lot of work to do to help his child be happy. 'Do I want this? If I do help, then there's a very real probability that Jade may became Tori's long term relationship, and do I want that marrying into the family?'

Across town, Jade had gotten home and made herself a cup of coffee. She picked up the phone, and called the one person in her life who could help her make sense of what was going on. "Beck, it's Jade. You were right, the bulge in her pants was a strap-on."

"What did she do this time?" His voice sounded tired. Jade looked at the phone, reminding herself he was giving her precious insight.

"She tried to make love to me against a wall. In an ally." Jade replied.

"Jade, the next time you talk to her, remind her you have a bed." Beck said. "How was it?"

"My back against the dirty wall, in my nice dress?" Jade asked. "If I didn't love her, I'd have insisted we go somewhere, anywhere else."

"You should have." The Ex said.

"But she tries so hard." Jade whined. "And I can be so bossy. I don't want to say no. Not when she does such an amazing job of making my body want to say yes." She couldn't help the smile that dominated her face.

"Then talk to her." Beck said. "Tell her we used to spend days just hanging out at my trailer."

"Yea, that should go well." Jade said, then shifting her voice a bit, making it sound more optimistic. "Tori, I'd like to remind you that Beck had a lot of sex with me before we broke up. I think he has pictures." Jade let out a deep sigh. "Or maybe I can appreciate the effort she's putting in, and not be such a bitch."

"Or maybe you can talk to her." Beck said again. "Jade, let her know you don't need to be impressed, or need the danger. Let her know there is nothing wrong with just making love, in the privacy of your room. I swear, I can't do this any more. I don't need you telling me about what sexual adventure Tori chose to keep you on your toes. She shouldn't be using sex to control you."

"I know." Jade said. "But what can I do? I love her."

"I'm calling Trina." Beck said.

"We don't need to involve her." Jade warned.

"Maybe not." Beck admitted. "But I need something to deal with the erection you keep leaving me with."

"Good night Beck." Jade said, then hung up. She'd walked to her room, and was now sitting in her chair. "Tori, can we agree to only do the freaky, exciting chiz occasionally? I'm willing to be taken normally." She looked at her bed, and sighed. "Maybe I should wait and say that when my girlfriends actualy here…"
